A Motorcyclist has been confirmed dead while passenger sustained life threatening injuries after being knocked down by an over speeding vehicle allegedly owned by an internet fraudster.

The accident happened at New Farm area of Sapele council area in Delta state on Monday morning. Ekohotblog gathered that the Okada rider who was in his 30s died on the spot while his passenger, a woman, was rushed to the hospital by the driver of the GLK in a keke.

The speeding vehicle unnumbered Mercedes-Benz GLK was purchased last week before the accident. Residents said the Okada man had picked the woman from Gana market area before the speeding GLK driver brushed them from behind.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has reacted to the brutal killing of another Port Harcourt young man by SARS operatives in the state, Ekohotblog reports..

Ekohotblog.com recalled that a 20-year-old man identified as Daniel Chibuike was shot by police officers attached to De Topic supermarket at the Elelenwo area of Port Harcourt on Saturday evening.

According to a source who confirmed the death, it all started after Chibuike, and his friend, Reuben were accosted by the operatives of the Special Ant-Robbery Squad, SARS.

The late singer and Reuben, however, took to their heels upon sighting the SARS operative, who in turn chased them, screaming that they were thieves.

Popular Nightlife King Accused Of Sexually Molesting His 5-Month Old Baby Ekohotblog, September 17, 2020… Diana Faith, wife of popular Nightlife king, Temidayo Lucky Kafaru, aka Lascatter, has accused him of sexually molesting their five-month-old baby.

She mentioned this amongst other offences, calling on the Lagos State Government, Inspector General of Police (IGP), and other relevant authorities to investigate her husband.

According to Faith, her husband who she is now separated from was caught molesting their five months old baby by putting his manhood in the baby’s mouth.

She also alleged that he had also on different occasions molested and raped her maid who is a minor. JTF Chases Suspected Yahoo Boy To Death In Osun Ekohotblog, September 16, 2020…. Tension in Osogbo on Tuesday evening, as men of Osun State Joint Task Force allegedly chased a suspected Yahoo boy to death while others sustained injuries.

Our reporter identified one of the suspected Yahoo boys who died from the scene as Remi. One dead, others injured as building collapses in Delta Ekohotblog, September 13, 2020…. One death while others injured as a storey building under construction in the Okwe area of Asaba, Delta State collapsed, Ekohotblog reports The incident happened on Saturday September 12.

The owner of the building and four others who were working in the building were trapped under the rubble when it suddenly caved in.

While injured victims of the incident were taken to the hospital for medical attention, the local vigilante in the area are currently keeping watch at the site to prevent theft of valuables.

Female LASTMA Officer To Face Penalty For Assaulting Passenger (video) Ekohotblog’, September 13, 2020….A female officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) is now to be investigated for possible disciplinary action following a viral video that captured her assaulting a passenger.

The agency revealed that investigation will be carried out on the incident via its Twitter handle Our reporter learned that the incident happened at Aromire junction off Awolowo Way, Ikeja on Friday September 11.

According to the report, the LASTMA official is considered to have overreacted. In a statement, the agency have summoned the said LASTMA Officer to the headquarters of the agency on Monday, 14th September.

COVID-19: Nigeria Records 160 New Cases, 2 Deaths Ekohotblog, September 13, 2020 On the 12th of September 2020, 160 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria, The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reports.

I Killed My Aunty Because She’s A Witch – Man Confesses In Ogun Ekohotblog, September 12, 2020…The Nigerian police force have apprehended one Dansu Asogba for the alleged murder of his 60-year-old aunt, Iyabo Dansu over witchcraft.

Dansu Asogba, a 23-year-old indigene of Ogun State was arrested following a report by two children of the victim at the Ipokia Divisional Police Headquarters. In a statement on Saturday, the Ogun State Police Spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the arrest.

Oyeyemi said the deceased died on August 22 despite not suffering from any illness but the children had no foul play in mind, went on with their mother’s burial. Shortly after Iyabo Dansu’s burial, information got to the children that Dansu Asogba was responsible for her death.

Oyeyemi said, “But immediately after the burial, they heard information that the suspect, who is a nephew to the deceased was seen in her house on that fateful day, and shortly after he left, the woman was declared dead.” As resident of the community showed concern, threatening to carry out a traditional ritual to expose the killer, Asogba reportedly came out to confess being the one responsible for her death.

The DPO Ipokia Division, SP Adebayo Hakeem, “On interrogation, he admitted killing the deceased, but claimed that he did so because of his belief that the deceased was responsible for the death of his first child and the subsequent miscarriage suffered by his wife.

“He confessed further that it was an iron rod he used to hit the woman on the neck which resulted to her death,” Oyeyemi said. Meanwhile, the Ogun Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has ordered that the case be transferred transfer to the homicide section of the State CIID for further investigation.

Man Nabbed By Police For Stealing FRSC Vehicle In Abuja Ekohotblog, September 5, 2020. Bwari Police Division, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have arrested a man identified as Hamisu Tukur for stealing a vehicle belonging to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Headquarters at Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

The FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, confirmed the report in a statement. He also noted that the suspect, Tukur (25) was arrested following a distress call by officers of the FRSC.

The statement read,“In a prompt response to a distress call received by the FCT Police Command’s control room, the Command on 5th September 2020 arrested one Hamisu Tukur ‘m’ 25years at the outskirt of Bwari, for stealing a vehicle belonging to the Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) Headquarters stationed at SkyMemorial, Wuse Zone 5.
