If 777m is approximately 1billion, then 640 is also approximately 1billion

When they think it favors them, they will talk about NetSpend. They won't tell you City paid only 26M and Danilo for Cancelo.

Ask them how City spent 169M now..he would change topic.

Chelsea spent £117.2m

2nd season he spent £278.7m
Chelsea spent £237.9m

3rd season he spent £70.25m
Chelsea spent £186.1m this includes the £57.5m for pulisic.

Stop acting like it's light and day between both clubs in terms of spending.

Curry is a choker. Not a transcendental talent. Klay is 3 and D who cannot lead a team. Draymond is a donkey..with poverty numbers. Kerr is a fraud. Every coach is better than him.

But somehow, 3 rings and 5 straight finals.

Classless organisation indeed.

This is how you guys rush to throw bets around. You are ready to stake $1000 dollars on a player that could have an injury rulling him out of the season in your next match.

That was how eruditor was beating his chest and throwing bets everywhere months ago. Now, every Liverpool win increases his BP.

Lucky you, I don't place bets. I hope someone else takes up your offer though.

Every Liverpool win does what to me? You guys should just pipe down. Don't worry they will win 37 out of 38 games so you would be happy.

I don't know the game people are referring to that Spurs deserved to draw. In my eyes, this game should have been put to bed in the first half. Liverpool will choose to play Tottenham every week than play Sheffield or Wolves again. I don't want to say Mou has completely lost it because he is battling alot of injuries but darn..at Spurs home ground, this was an easy W for Liverpool.

I'm not even concerned about the genesis of your conversation with him.

This is the question I'm interested in, and I want to see your answer.

Which season did Mou break La Liga points record? 2011-12.

Who was Barca's coach then? Pep.

So is Mou's Madrid better than Pep's Barca in 2011-12? That's what I believe weedtaker wants to know. And I'm interested to know too...

Read my last 2 posts.

You don't know what weedtaker is asking so just sit this one out. You hear?

Ogbeni, wetin dey worry you many and I no follow.

You are boxing yourself into a corner simply because you want to deliberately misunderstand me.

There is a Cryuff's Barca. Rijkaard's Barca. Pep's Barca. Enrique's Barca. They are all Barca but represent dispensations of winning Barca teams (League and UCL).

MANY regard Pep's barca as the best ever la liga team. Weedtaker was trying to refute my argument that City having the best points in the EPL makes them currently the best EPL team (not overall team because United did a treble) so he said should Mou's RM (dispensation again not manager) be regarded as the best La Liga team since he got 100pts?

I challenged that assertion by showing that that Pep's Barca (dispensation again) had done 99pts and later 100pts in line with winning more league titles than that RM team. So Barca were still proven better even though not by much.

Someone has to pay you at this point to misunderstand me.

If the discussion has nothing to do with the coach, why are you still saying Pep's Barça?

Stop saying Pep(if you can), please

Pep's name gets you guys triggered.

Weedtaker called it Pep's barca. Because many pundits regard that team as the best team ever. Enrique's team also did a treble and were successful but you don't hear them being called the best team ever.

So it was to differentiate both teams. Just like he said SAFs 1999 team and his 2008 team. You can see that the emphasis is on the team not the coach.

In the 2013/14 season, Crystal Palace were bottom of the league around November, and their coach, Ian Holloway was sacked.
Tony Pulis, I think, was appointed, and they ended up finishing the season in 10th place.

So perhaps we should give Ian Holloway credit for that miracle because 'it was Ian Holloway's team. It was Holloway's Crystal Palace.'

When you find yourself in a rabbit hole, the only way out is to back-track.

Mourinho is currently using Poch's Tottenham.
Arteta is using Emery's Arsenal.

But in this discussion, the COACH does not matter. It is the TEAM that is being discussed. So this has nothing to do with Pep, Mou or SAF. The Barca team that equalled RM's 100 Points was still Pep's BARCA emphasis on BARCA not Pep.

In 2011-12, Mou was coaching Madrid and Pep was Barca's coach.

Which team is better that season? That's the question.

I'm not the type to go back and forth with you. Don't bring 3 seasons into the discussion. The question is for a particular season.

If you can't answer this question directly, then don't bother to reply my quote. I'll take it that Mou's Madrid was better afterall...

It is a pity. You butted into a conversation you don't even understand.

There is nothing like "better that season". Weedtaker was trying to argue that since Mou's team got 100 points they should be regarded as the best La Liga team over Pep's Barca team. I simply pointed out to him that the very same TEAM also got 100 points but then outdid that same RM team twice in 3 seasons which makes them effectively better.

Harden is really suffering especially this season from history bias.
This season especially in the last 10-15 games he has reduced his usage rate and has allowed Russ to push the pace a bit more. If the rockets can play the type of great defense they've put up sometimes this season, they will definitely be dangerous come playoffs.
PS: All it took was harden playing with his friend for him to slightly adjust his game

He adjusted his game because he realized it won't do anything for him post season. In that game against the Sixers he was not begging for calls and using gimmickry so that was refreshing. He was not also forcing the game. Tbh I was thoroughly impressed. I think he is now thinking more about legacy because the window will soon completely close. I still maintain that they could have had a higher ceiling than LAL or LAC had CP3 stayed there and not Russell. Although, you are very right at Harden deferring to only Russell and that may yield results who knows.

I know I said the LAC will win it all..but I am having a second look at the Rockets and for some reason, Harden assured the fans that he will win a chip. Also, one of the owners said they have to help him win one because he is 30 now and like I said before, the window is closing. If Harden keeps up the game I saw against the Sixers then the rockets have more than a fighter's chance.

Oga, why the bolded? Simple question is...

Did Mou broke the La Liga points record 3 seasons to 2011-12 season? Why referencing Barca's trophy win of two seasons ago just to answer a 2011-12 question? Na wao...

Was Jose Madrid of 2011-12 that broke the La Liga points record better than Pep's 2011-12 Barca? That's the question...

Smh. What are you on about?

Pep's barca has done 99 pts (2009/10) and 100 pts (2012/13).
Mou's RM did 100 pts (2011/12).

Since both have the same record achievement the only way we can now distinguish them will be if they faced themselves or else it will become subjective. Luckily they did. That Barca won 2 titles compared to the RM that got one when they battled each other in 3 seasons.

Verdict: Barca was better even though not by much.

Manchester united of 99 finished 91points but I can tell you that the 2008 team was clearly better.

Just like as Chelsea 2006 team that finished with 91 was better than the one that finished with 93.

Because Manchester city finished with 100points doesn't make them the greatest team to ever grace the PL.

For what it's worth I can tell you that the100points was a fluke and that's why they finished with 98 the following season and conceded more and scored less than the 100points season just like Chelsea did in the 2005 and 2006 campaign.

Even SAF felt his 2008 team was better than the 1999 team. It is all subjective.

I can finish first in UTME in 2008 and score 300/400 (assuming this is a record) and 9As in the WASSCE. Someone else who got 320/400 in 2009 even if they had 9Cs in WASSCE will still be adjudged to now be the best UTME candidate ever even if I am an overall better student. Imagine now if in 2018 some guy gets 370/400 in UTME with 7As and people say UTME has become so easy. Let us change the format of questions. And the same guy rewrites it and gets 365/400. It is easier to conclude that not only is the exam not easier but that the student is the best UTME student ever (till someone else beats his record).

These things are not hard to rationalize and people should stop letting their dislike for Pep to make them come off as irrational. Not referring to you in this context.

So Jose's madrid that broke the La liga points record is better than peps barca?

No.

Because that barca team won the league 2 times to Mourinho's one time in 3 seasons.

Because that Barca got 99pts and later equalled the same 100pts that Jose's RM had.

Sane - Sterling and bernando have not replicated their last season performance especially the lattter.

Laporte- Fernandinho has been an able deputy but it has also deprived city of his steel in midfield. The struggles of otamendi and stones are well documented I believe. Rodri who replaced Fernandinho at the base of the midfield is still finding his feet.

Zinchenko/ Mendy - Zinchenko came in as a result of Mendy's Injury and deputized well until his Injury and Angelino came in for him and has been suspect defensively. Mendy came in too and seems to have lost his pace and crossing that added to his defensive weakness beforehand.

Silva, Aguero have all had their spells out of the team. What you people don't understand about the style Pep uses is that it is a high risk system that requires all of the players in the system understanding their role and be able to execute it. Just one weakness is enough for the whole team to collapse.

Pep himself takes part of the blame the game against United for example playing such a high line against a team with pacy players built for counter and him knowing his defence was suspect was suicide as far as I know.

Rodri has had back to back hamstring injuries that made him miss weeks. KdB has had injuries this season as well. You can replace KdB (with less productivity) but with Kompany out, when Laporte is out (for 6 months) the result will tell.

When Rodri is out and Fernandinho is playing CB who plays as the DM? Mendy and Zinch were out at the same time. Imagine now playing Angelino..Ferna..Ota as defenders with no Rodri in front of them. You will escape some games but the impact will be telling when it is for an extended period.

But I started reading that Shaqiri, Oxlade and Keita are starters for Liverpool so I rested my case.

As for United loss, one thing many Pep critics will always say is that it was naive to play a high line. Truth of the matter is, Pep vehemently believes that if his players are 100% committed to his style of playing (without feeling they should do something else) that high line will not matter. If you listened to KdB after they beat Arsenal and Leicester, he said something along the lines of just trusting the manager.

They used the same high line against Vardy. Vardy still scored first. But City stayed committed and still won the game rather easily. Klopp has the same philosophy. He wants his players to just trust him. But even when they do, at times better quality will easily outdo good tactics. See Aston Villa vs Liverpool in the Carabao cup for e.g.

Did you watch the wolves match bro? That loss was on Mendy and otamendi if you ask me. What was Pep supposed to do to prevent Mendy from doing a poor job of shielding the ball? Or otamendi refusing to stay on his feet rather choosing to jump in allowing Doherty to easily sidefoot him and score with his weaker foot. City losses this has been due to both Pep mgt and Injuries. You are using a wrong scenario to prove your point bro.

You must be referring to another match. It was 100% Pep's fault. He did not coach Mendy or Otamendi on how to tackle.

After years of failure, even Klopp knows he can't succeed without money, it is until he spent huge money of the transfers of Alisson, Van dijk (most notably) Salah, Keita that the results start coming.

Klopp himself said "there are some things you cannot coach". All that talk about they sold X Y Z is cool zobo. Barca still owe's Liverpool more than half of Coutinho money. Klopp did an Interview with Arsene in Dubai and said he asked the club if they could afford those players and the club said yes so he went for them.
