patrickmuf: Goes to show how faulty your logic is basing your reason on league position. In a couple of years, one lunatic will come here to say Mou's team that finished 2nd is on the same level with the Liverpool team that finished 2nd citing their respective league finishes without considering the point difference and quality of players. Pep met a better squad. I understand that for argument sake, one might want to say otherwise but it is obvious. Like I said, you are courteous when you argue so let me extend the same courtesy. With which eye will we judge City team with? What Pep went on to achieve or what? Raheem of 2015/16 is not Raheem of 2019/20 so revisionism is playing a role in that better squad argument. You are the same person who claimed the other day that Pep's squad was on per with most of the top 4 during his first season. Now you have claimed it was better than Ranieri's CFC that beat invicible Arsenal in the UCL, got to the SFs and finished 2nd. Can you also see that you are also comparing a 2004 squad to a 2015 squad for 2 DIFFERENT teams? The only effective way to judge teams is their achievements when juxtaposed with others in that time frame that they played. End of. |

SmooshCHN: They did him dirty and should continue to catch heat for it as deserved. And no it wasn't as blown as KD's case. I know you personally wouldn't support what happened but using "taking a risk on him" as an excuse is unfair. They failed especially when Ainge knew he was never going to pay him. See how he got traded. Anyways, IT too was desperate. Whichever way, it's nothing close to an omission in a 3mins video. I'm just using his case as comparison when people want to blow up this KD issue as if the tribute video would have helped anyone if they did him like IT. The outrage is fake. Pay it no mind. GSW should not have left KD out of the video but we should find out why they did it before blowing hot air. Don't forget when they came to talk rubbish about Iggy's comments here. It was proven to be the regular cockamamie. When KD said what we said. They claimed he was being a good sport. When the execs said nobody will wear #35 what was the outrage about? That it was playing to the gallery so KD will not sue. You can't please critics and it is not a bad thing. |

benji93: There is no point in continuing this exchange until we know what's actually up. There are just some people you can't convince to reason with you. They already have a presupposition. All they need to do is make sure everything falls within, no matter how twisted. Always happy to jump at any GSW bad news. I mean, "we said it didn't we, such classless organisation". Even though i honestly don't like the turn of events, especially the omission of a guy -that clearly was huge in your back to back championships- from a tribute video no matter how short, I would rather wait to hear the entire story before making a judgement. Surely, the front office will provide an explanation for this grave mistake at a point. When I initially saw it on Instagram I went further to read comments from fans alike. I even did same on Reddit. The consensus was that it was not right. I personally did not like it. I said so. What I actually find hypocritical is the people whose modus operandi is to cry more than the bereaved. They blamed GSW for his injury. Even when the player said otherwise. Then they criticised GSW for retiring his jersey and called it fake - claiming it was done to cover up for the injury. Now they want to also feign outrage that he was left out of a video. LOL. |

It's like somebody comparing the Manchester United team that finished 2nd under Mourinho vs the Liverpool team that finished second last season... The question makes zero sense. Klopp and Mourinho who met a better Salah? Pep and Mourinho who met a better KdB? How can you ask for Manchester United and Liverpool are they the same teams? |

I meant the team each manager met when they got to the EPL. Obviously Pep met a better team than everyone of them so it’s expected he should hit 100 wins in lesser games.
If you can’t comprehend that simple explanation, I cannot help you further.
Happy new year. Don't be triggered. I only expose flawed logic and people who are incapable of stringing good sentences to save their lives. If a team that choked a league with Rodgers or one that got to a UCL SF AND finished 2nd in the league with Ranieri were not good enough but Pep's own that finished equal points with 5th place United is better than them. What else is there to say? As soon as the herd's logic is challenged they will conclude that it is the person exposing their lies that did not comprehend them. Happy New Year. |

SmooshCHN: The injury thing is a different issue. They never mishandled his injury as several doctor's confirmed but people choose to believe what they want to. It's not possible that they did that and then not even include him in the tribute video. KD we all know would have said something himself or with his burner account but he confirmed they did everything right with his injury. The real scum move is the Celtics in Isaiah Thomas case who no one wants to talk about because it's Isaiah Thomas and then proceeded to give him a tribute like they ever cared.
Besides it's a 3mins video. KD is bigger than that. For me, I appreciate KD and all he did in that 3yrs and I would have kept him in the video and I'm sure the Warriors would do if they had the option. It's even likely he didn't want the tribute but the media will always talk. Facts only. |

How much did West Ham spend, 600m? You think apari would take that West Ham job?
Take away Messi from him, he won't win Ucl. Take away the chequebook, he will be struggling to qualify for europa. West Ham still spent money so they should not be courting relegation. Or don't you agree? Will Klopp take the West Ham job? Mourinho nko? Take away Messi? Take away VVD what will Klopp win? |

donlittle25: only way I will give them a pass is if Kevin Durant said they should not add him in it. You have a point. Fact is, I do not know at this point. But as per talking rubbish about GSW, KD was doing it in his interviews. At some point, even SC had to remind him that he won 2 rings and got to 3 finals with that coach and system he claimed was not working. Remember when people swore Rockets were going to beat GSW had CP3 not gone down? Remember when KD went down and everyone predicted that GSW will lose the series? GSW did not. It was that same system and players without KD that beat Rockets and swept Portland. But what do I know? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Eruditor: 6:35pm On Dec 31, 2019 |
larride: It doesn’t even make sense.
When SAF got to Man Utd, we have gone 20years without a league title, even went to relegation in between those years.
When Arsene got to Arsenal, they have gone 6 years without a league title.
When Mou got to Chelsea, they have gone 50 years without a league title, just some trophies here n there. Infact 10 years before Mou, the only trophies they won was 2 FA cup and EFL cup.
When Klopp got to Liverpool, they have gone 25yrs without a league title, 10 years before Klopp, the only thing they won was 1 UCL, 1 FA cup and 1 EFL cup.
But When Pep got to City, they have gone just “2” years without a league title. 10 years before Pep, City won 2 EPL, 1 FA cup and 2 EFL cup.
It’s not hard even for the blind to acknowledge that Pep met a better team than all those other managers they compared him too and so him getting to 100 wins in less games than them is testimony to the team strength he inherited and blow over €600m on.
Alaye jor jor jor Of course, FA Cup, EFL Cup and being trophyless are factored into notching up wins in the EPL. So as Klopp won 30 games out of 38 last season but did not win the EPL, it will not count in the 100 wins he has got. Of course, the incompetence of the previous managers before the managers you mentioned above will not factor. Imagine if City had used Moyes and LVG to replace Mancini. I wonder how many years since then that City would have been without the EPL. Of course, Pep met a better team. The one that finished 2nd and played in the UCL SFs. Unlike Mourinho whose team finished 4th (equal with 5th) and after that did not spend any money at all. That is why Pep still beat his record. Because Pep's team was better. Clap for yourself. |

zelgiusdigby: Waiting for the GSWs pro bono attorneys eruditor and smooshchn to present their cases. Whether I agree with leaving him out of the videos or not (which I don't by the way), I will rather thoroughly research if the opinion I have about the player I am defending is correct before casting aspersions. For one, an organization that announced that his jersey will be retired to then leaving him out of the video months after should clearly show that something went south. I don't even need to be one of the higher-ups to know what did. I laughed when I saw a post saying KD said nothing against the Warriors. In fact, the only thing he did not say was the one he knew that if he did, they would sue him for. Every other thing he said. Those who have ears and eyes can do their own investigation. In a few years we will revisit who helped who. Whether GSW helped KD or KD helped GSW. |
