larride:You can call me names. It speaks more about you than me. Your brain is functioning. Pep met him but sold him. Yet he inherited better squad. The same squad you want to use to justify why he had 100/134. Sterling of 2016 was better than Duff in 2004. Hahaha hahaha. What else? That 2016 City squad is even the best ever EPL team. |
raumdeuter:Players Ranieri had bought with good money after Roman had come. Because he felt they were good enough to win. Which is why they hired Mourinho. They knew Ranieri Underperformed. |
raumdeuter:Pep is involved. If Pep was using Ansu in Barca..they would have said he was the best player ever at 16. |
Greatihex:lol. HOW else will I know if the players SAF inherited were better than City players in 2016? Did I see those players play? The only way I can judge them is their PREVIOUS achievement. Just like if CFC end up winning the league this season. Only a fool will turn around next season if they are 15th to say they are no better than Sheffield who maybe are 12th that season. |
raumdeuter:I saw how the psychological effect of hiring Pep made City finish 4th. They have an explanation for any thing Pep achieves. |
larride:Sterling of 2016 over Duff in 2004 Joe Hart that was sold by Pep. KdB of 2016 over Robben of 2004 Patrickmuf can you see why I asked you that question? Working brain. |
larride:Working brain. The season is over. |
benji93:LOL Don't forget when he left. We did a video thanking him. We said we will retire his jersey. In warriors game of the decade 2 of his shots were there. So when did things change? After he did those interviews and was throwing shade. That is why I think they did what they did. |
BARAJ92:Of course, but I just played along to watch him tie himself into tortuous knots. The man finished 3rd when Conte won 30/38 league games but was fired after his next season. Mou won 30 and 29 league games in his first 2 seasons but still needed 142 games to win 100 matches. Wenger inherited an Arsenal team and was 3rd that very same season equal points with Newcastle. Won the league the very next season. But it is better squad that made Pep with how wobbly City have been this season to still get 100Ws in 134 games. Just don't get worked up by some of them. |
larride:Where did anybody say Klopp inherited Suarez? I said the squad of 2010/11 that started the season to the one of 2013/14 Gerrard was the only survivor. To disprove your nonsense about 8th, 6th being Liverpools true level. In other words TWO DIFFERENT SQUADS. Also, now you have switched to when Pep was announced City were 2nd on the table. Because you have been owned. You can call me names. It means nothing to me. Like I said, it proves you have nothing to say. |
raumdeuter:"Did they just jump from 1999 to 2004"? Lol Functioning brain. He can see different players on the roster o. |
larride:Suarez was bought Jan transfer window of 2011. That is why I said he was not there when the season started. If a coach took over City today and signed Messi will we say he inherited a squad having Messi from Pep? Remember you are claiming the squad Pep INHERITED was better than what the other managers inherited. LOL the fact that 7-8 players were there when Pep came makes my argument for me. That the squad had just finished 4th by the same manager who used them to finish 1st and 2nd. Now due to revisionist nonsense you now want to claim that that squad was better than the one Mourinho got that had just finished 2nd with a UCL SF spot. |
Ibime:It is not by force to quote me. I purposely typed 3 EPL titles. There was no error. I am predicting City to win this season. That is why. I typed there 2015/16 for Pep. 2014/15 for Klopp. Both were intended. |
Roland17:Curry simply took the high road. What I meant by saying KD was talking rubbish about GSW is that he was throwing shades rather than taking the high road. But because you like KD he is allowed to be petty. 1. KD said I will never be one of them. That is to allude to the fact that he never truly felt appreciated. They are THEM and I am ME. 2. That I HAD to create stuff on MY OWN (I am paraphrasing). THEIR set up was not working. 3. THEY did not force me to play when I was hurt. THEY are them. I am ME. Again. Disunity. 4. Best PG I have PLAYED WITH in the NBA is Kyrie. A player he HAS not played with. Yet he won 2 RINGS with Curry. 5. My favorite PG currently playing is Damian Lillard. At that point Curry is playing. Kyrie is injured. 6. SAS asks him about Curry's injury. "Nobody likes it when another player is injured". Not addressing Curry as a personal friend who is hurt and what not. There are many more of these things he was saying. Don't you think it is funny that Warriors in that 3 min video even used players that were there during a losing streak but were drafted? It was petty. To leave KD out like he had been claiming and alluding to. That I don't agree with them for doing it does not mean he was not being petty. That is why I agreed with Tundesam923. KD should have just thanked the organization and deflected questions about why he left. I can also tell you why he was doing those things to Curry. Simply because Curry rightly listed Lebron as the SF in his all-time greats team. |
larride:Chelsea that finished 3rd last season is not the same SQUAD that Lampard has today. Just like Klopp's team that was 4th in 2016/17 is not the same squad of 2019/20. To break it down for you, Liverpool of 2010/11 was NOT the same squad in 2013/14 which is why when Rodgers finished 6th they fired him. They did not feel he overachieved when he finished 2nd. That is why I told Patrickmuf that Raheem of 2015 is not Raheem of today. |
larride:Hahaha. I also said Pep came 2015/16. When we know he came 2016/17. I was referring to the "squad" he inherited. Lol @ old age. If you only knew. Suarez was not there beginning of the season or why did you not include Drogba, Essien, Robben and Cech when you were discussing the team Mou used that you claimed Pep's was better than? They did not jump from 1999 to 2004 but when it is Pep the same City players of 2012 when they won league are the same players of 2016 when he took over. I should throw away my advanced degrees. Your brain is functioning. |
kokaneprodigy:In his defence, I said 3 EPL titles. I am sure you thought I said 2. But you can probably know why I typed 3. So it is not your fault. You speed-read me. |
Greatihex:Of course, you and Larride belong to the same group of people with functioning brains. Essentially the same CFC players finished 3rd, 1st and 10th. I said that squad was not a 10th-placed squad. If they finish 1-4 it is okay. But 10th, no. Contradicting myself? even when this season I argued that Arsenal and Tottenham squads are top 4 squads and CFC are not. Even though CFC finished 3rd last season. LOL. |
larride:LOL. More of the same name-calling to hide behind shallow points. 1. Bring where I said Klopp came after 2013/14 when they finished 2nd. You will see that you are the one who has comprehension issues. 2. You are the one who said Liverpool were 8, 6..bla blah. I brought out the squad that were 8th and compared to the team that was 2nd. There was no Suarez etc. But you have come to lie....Again. You gave me a 5-year time frame about a squad that had different players. To argue that what the team was in 2004 was similar to what they were in 1999. And your brain is working? ![]() |
DeeMain:When Green acted a fool here...I called him out and was happy he was suspended. D. Green did not represent the organization until KD accepted he was not falling in line. Remember, the issue they had was Green not conceding the ball to KD in the dying seconds of that Clippers game and KD being angry. Green's argument was "stop treating me like I am some bum, I was doing this before you got here and we were winning as well". Was Green wrong? Yes. So what is the KD issue now? It was the underlying fact that he started acting like what was working before he got there and was part of the reason he came was no longer working and that he had a better strategy. It explained why he got passive in the first 2 games against the Clippers in the P/Os. It was a subtle way of rebelling but it backfired. GSW blew the Clippers out in the first game and were doing so again when Curry fouled out in game 2. We lost that game 2 dramatically and the " they know who I am" talk came out. He was bonkers but the games were close. Why? Iso ball makes the other players off-rhythm. Why Kerr hates it even though it works sometimes. Fast forward to the Rockets series and the same trend. Curry is suffering. So is Klay. But KD is making buckets for fun. Before long..Rockets figure us out and the series is tied 2-2. The way we are going..we are looking like losing. Then fate happens..KD goes down..we go back to ball movement. Iggy..Curry etc have big games. We beat them. Nobody said we did not need him. He EARNED his rings. He was instrumental. But the notion that GSW were past it and needed KD to get over the hump. Complete and utter nonsense and the evidence alludes to it. |

Greatihex:Ok. You were found out. So use invectives. I get it. |
I want well-meaning people with non-functioning brains to see the trail of events. Pep wins 100 EPL games in 134 he had the best squad. Pep wins 100pts. He bought the league. Pep wins 98pts and all the domestic trophies. There is no competition. Why did he not win the UCL? Pep wins the UCL twice. He needed Messi. Pep wins 14 titles in 4 seasons. La Liga is weak. Pep wins 7 titles in Bayern. Germany is weak. Pep wins back to back to back EPL titles. Local trophy. A wise man once said "once you have made up your mind to hang your dog, any thread will be good enough". I rest my case. |
larride:This is 2020. I can rubbish you and call you names etc but it will only prove that I will be using that to hide the fact that I have been found out or that I have no argument to make. That is exactly what you have done above. You were here when Patrickmuf said Pep's squad was equal to the other top 4 teams which is why he finished 3rd. It was right to you. Today, that same team that was equal to others is now better than a team that finished 2nd behind the invincibles and got to the UCL SF because...Pep. LOL. In your own working brain. It is the same Liverpool team that finished 8th in 2010/11 that finished 2nd in 2013/14. LMAO. Funny. The only player from 2010/11 squad that still played in 2013/14 was Steven Gerrard. But in a bid to lie that Liverpool overachieved in 2014, see yourself? History will show that your working brain agreed that Pep had the same quality of squad with Tottenham and Liverpool of 2015/16. Which was better than Mourinho's team that won the league with 95pts. History will show that your working brain compared a CFC squad with Petrescu, RDM and George Weah to one that had Makelele, Lampard, Hasselbaink in their prime. To argue that finishing 2nd in 2003/4 was an over achievement since CFC squad level should have been 5th (based on 1999/2000). To spite Pep. But your brain is working and mine is not. Ok . Ok. |
Greatihex:You people are funny but it is the reality of life. CFC are not a midtable team based on what? Finishing 3rd and then 1st. I never said they MUST win the league or that Conte had the best squad. I said finishing 10th was a huge drop-off. I hope you get it. |
SmooshCHN:GSW won rings for KD. Not the other way around. But he earned his rings..he was not carried along like say Matt Barnes or Quin Cook. Anyone arguing that is just living in a fool's paradise. All that hogwash about how the Cavs figured GSW out is for the marines. Remember when they said same when CP3 went down for the Rockets? Well CP3 was there. Harden there. E. Gordon there. All had big games especially game 6 at their ground. There was no KD. GSW still beat them. That is the evidence we have. Same people who kept telling us asterisk for our first ring are the ones who crowned Kawhi the best thing since sliced bread for beating a depleted GSW 4-2. LOL |
Tundesam923:You are intelligent. Forget all those epistles with "I never slandered him I only called his move a weak one". Call me when you find a greater hypocritical statement than that. Man left GSW and said I was not part of them. They did not draft me. Did they draft Iggy? No but Iggy was instrumental to their first ring. KD were you not instrumental to the other 2? Throwing shade at SC. Including announcing your decision when SC told you he was flying to NY to see you (of which you approved) only to do it when he was in flight. SC by his nature will forgive you, but there is no guarantee the organization will. All the players and staff are saying great things about you even when after the D. Green issue, KD was ONLY speaking to Quin Cook. The warriors downplayed it. System was not working? LOL. System went 16-1 when you followed it. As soon as the ISO balls racked up, we almost lost to Rockets. It would have happened had KD not gone down game 5. Funny, soon as he does, GSW beats Rockets comfortably in games 5&6. That is why I maintained here, with Klay fit, my money was still on GSW against Raptors. Nobody can deny the kid can score for fun. But he was doing so in OKC and winning nothing. He needed a winning formula with willing teammates to win. He got both, but still complained. Just like some funny coaches here that will criticise a coach for winning because he did not win the way they wanted him to win. You will see comments criticising Steve Kerr meanwhile the seasons he is being criticized man won 67-15 and a ring and 58-24 and another ring. LOL |
Tundesam923:Once you start crying more than the bereaved objectivity is thrown out the window. That is why I just read some nonsense here and laugh. There is always, the high way or the petty way. Both parties took the latter. KD had been petty after he left (anyone who is being objective will know) but GSW should have taken the highway (we- GSW fans, all agree). But you see this fake moral pedestal where the organization takes the highway while the player is allowed to be petty? It is rubbish. That is the hypocrisy I won't stand for. |
SmooshCHN:All are of the same ilk. Don't be deceived. |
benji93:You have said it all. |
Unlimited22:If Pep's sqaud was 15/16 Klopp's squad is 14/15. |
larride:Stop talking about working brains. What does CFC squad in 1999 have to do with the squad in 2004 Jesus Christ?! So the Leicester coaches that inherited the sqaud in 2017/18 after the league was won in 2015/16 should be expected to win the league since they inherited a team that had won the league 2 seasons removed? Liverpool finished 2nd one season removed before Klopp just like ManCity when Pep signed. So how will a working brain conclude that one squad was underachieving and the other was not? |
