kingBolton:Between Aug -Oct 2007, Fabregas had 10 goals in all competitions. He was the EPL player of the month in September (maybe even top scorer can't remember). Scored against United, Liverpool, Tottenham and so on. Arsenal were top of the league as well. The goals will eventually dry up and so could Hazard's. His fanboys should sit down and be humble. |
kingBolton:Before I respond, is English your first language? |
popizaino:Fabregas has more assists and goals. Xavi did not but the burden of providing those rested more with one than another. One could argue that had Xavi added those to his game, he would have been the best player in his time at least once. You cannot deny that the burden of providing those for CFC and Belgium rest on Eden. You know this, but want to excuse him of it and bring Zidane and Xavi who were exceptional at what was expected of them - never mind the extra they could not do CONSISTENTLY. That is why it is criminally insulting to claim Hazard is on Messi's level barring goals and assists. While one has been top of every class in what was demanded of him and more, the other has been a potential since God knows when. We cannot compare Messi to a player who went 30 matches or so without a goal regardless of coach or playing style. To make an argument for Hazard his numbers should be 25+ every season in a "defensive side" so that we can say in a more expansive side maybe he can get to 40. There is nothing we have seen that suggests he can except hype. He is not enjoying a better scoring form than Fabregas did in 2007/08 particularly in the same Aug-October months. You people should just relax. He is a very good player but that is where it stops. No matter the periodic table you are looking at, he is not in Messi's group, period. |
popizaino:Messi was the 2nd best player in the world prior to Pep. That is a feat Hazard is yet to reach 7+ years in time comparison with more playing time, less injuries and more leeway/creative freedom. It is beyond similarities (which are hard to see by the way). One is a generational talent while the other is very good at the moment. |
eph12:Is Iwobi on Hazard's talent level? |
pkasso:Which is funny when we consider "take-ons" have 2 subunits- successful and unsuccessful. It was not stated. Voodoo stats. He brought 2017 news in 2018. Intellectual dishonesty. Then concluded that chances created is that much to look at. Meanwhile, if a player pulls out, makes a cross, drills a pass as long as it is into the box, it will be recorded as "chance created". Here, a player with 500+ more goals, 250+ more assists, more dribbles, awards, trophies for a far longer time over another player that is not even a generational talent. The difference between arguably the greatest player of all times and someone who is yet to top Adebayor's 2007/08 or even Fabregas' 2009/10 season in efficiency or numbers. I am in shock. |
Popizaino's my neega I hate that it had to be him. |
Isomerizm:Somebody said it. The hype train on NL is so frustrating. |
Unlimited22:If you saw something different delineate it. |
Neymar1095:I know na. I saw celebrations here after the first 10 mins and nobody was talking when City deserved 2 other penalties in this game. |
Unlimited22:Nobody abuses Laporte so giving him the honorable mention was not needed. But Lovren, Stones, Mendy (yes Mendy neutered Salah)..if they get things right..they should be. |
Prisoner-of-the-moment analysts. Both teams cancelled themselves out for most of the game which means mistakes were made in high-pressure points. I don't know what Mendy should have done differently save ensuring he did not concede a penalty to the opposing team with 4 mins to go. I am enjoying how Salah looks ordinary when they don't allow him score goals from an offside position or no Oxlade to score long-range goals that people will interpret here as product of ghenghen pressing. Meanwhile, the much maligned John Stones or Lovren will go home without getting plaudits for putting a shift worth 75M pounds. |

Nigerians, THINK! APC swept Saraki's corruption case to pacify him. He would have been nailed otherwise. They appointed some of his recommendations to the presidency and compromised on the leadership of the NASS. But after PMB went ill every one sought their own agenda and even Ibe Kachikwu's letter hinted at that. There was nothing to pacify those self-serving rogues. Saraki left to chase a presidential ambition that would have been useless in APC now that PMB returned stronger. He is not running now to win - hence why he got the senatorial and presidential form. He just wants to test run the environment in readiness for 2023 which has always been his target. Dogara left because APC Caucus in Bauchi were planning a coup for him following his closeness with Saraki. There was nothing else to do to keep both men in APC and their exit is a sign of their political misstep and tomfoolery. |
To me, Eden is a very dangerous player. The ball sticks to his feet, he is quick, can dribble in tight spaces and has mad gravity: That guy pulls defenders like no one else in the EPL and distorts opposing defenses just by his presence. But he does not score or assist enough to be that world class player that he potentially is, or should be. Brazil vs Belgium game for example, some people praised him because he was on a winning team. But what was he really doing all game? At the point where it was 2-1 and Brazil had come out fully to draw or go home, Belgium had spaces to really hurt them but Hazard was over-dribbling and holding on to the ball for too darn long. I remember watching that game and wishing he would just release the ball once rather than stall and get fouled. That peccadillo in his game is the difference between what he currently is and being world class. There are many games like that including the Newcastle game this season where he turned around to dribble some more and let the chance go begging. If you like him like I do, you should desire more from his game rather than make excuses. After all, if all he does is dribble, and score the occasional goal, then it gives credence to the Zaha comparisons -albeit, unjustified- because that is pretty much all Zaha does. Summarily, the people calling him world-class are over-stating what his accolades truly mean, while those rubbishing him completely are trivializing him to diabolical levels. If there was any level in football called quasi-worldclass, that probably is what Eden is. |
Hardetayour:TBH. I was in shock. |
Nihilstjnr:I said 2 off the IYRTITL "album". The other track was on MeekMill's own album and ended up being the biggest track of that album but okay. And also there are reference tracks of Drake that Jay Z used but he is not Canadian so let's not bring it up. |
krattoss:Huh? A lot of fluff in this man. Quentin was in Publix or Krogers. The features on IYRTITL gave him more money and clout. Quentin never admitted to having any life. You do know what Publix and Krogers are? And since he has not worked with Drake who has had number 1 tracks and who is still irrelevant? |
Nihilstjnr:Without even reading it. "Running through the 6 chorus" "10 bands" are from IYRTITL mixtape. The last reference track is for RICO which he used only the first 2 lines and ended up giving the track to Meek Mill. It is common knowledge. |
Nihilstjnr:I know the interview. I can buy a D-12 used mic primarily for Proof not necessarily because of Bizzarre even though both are members of that group. |
Nihilstjnr:Yes, by post-match 14 after confirming the kid is his and in the custody of his mum who is french and her son born in France. The Crib in LA is going to be empty until the boy gets into the US, no? |
Nihilstjnr:Biting Nelly? Weekend? An entire ghostwritten album? I just said Quentin helped in half a verse and a chorus for 2 different songs and he was given credit for it so he was not a "ghost". |
dopeJemi:Your first line already rules out objectivity. You are hiding a child in one line and then planning to announce him through an Adidas press run in another line? Lol. Sophie Brusseaux you have knacked once and was already well known in rap circles is who you is your Beyoncé? A son you only confirmed was yours March 14 and in response planned to make him a big reveal in your album June 29? Same big reveal you divulged to "your friend" who you were writing for only to hear that info in a twisted form said back to you by someone who works for that friend? Lol. Like I said..we can address every line for facts and they won't checkout. Including the Adidas lie. But okay. |
krattoss:From mixtapes from 2007 which prompted Wayne to sign him where do people get this evidence that an unknown entity had ghost writers before and after the accusation? |
Nihilstjnr:Opinions over statistics of course. 2 songs off IYRTITL. Actually one Chorus and half a rap verse on a mixtape of 16 songs. But will ignore the fact that while this was ongoing, Drake was writing for Kanye (Pusha's boss same time). Or "Poetic Justice" and "F*cking Problems" with supposed "better rappers" he had clearly the best verse. Or "In The Morning" with Jcole he bodied JCole on his own track. |
Nihilstjnr:Charlemagne's opinion which nobody fact-checked him for but is completely untrue. |
dopeJemi:Or told more lies? For e.g, you are a deadbeat dad but you are planning to use an Adidas press run to announce a child you abandoned? Your mum comes last place in your life? The same mother you have at least 5 different songs dedicated to? And so on... |
pkasso:Of course. |
Nihilstjnr:Clipse stan but I get the point. |
elrony:You're getting bodied by a "singing" Neega is the not the same thing as I am a singer but okay. |
diggz:Or because court of public opinion had already believed the lies and half truths they wanted to believe. The evidence is here. |
Greatihex:Was Arsene Wenger sacked by Arsenal? Yes or No. The same thing that happened to Wenger at Arsenal happened to Mou at RM. |
