SmooshCHN:Bro, no fear, I got this. Make I see one post talking about Kerr so I will go to my archives and expose their HOF coaches. |
Manutd19:Last season, with Curry out after the all-stars, we went 5-1 against largely Playoff contenders including beating Cavs, Bucks, OKC both on their ground. Kerr was not overrated then. When it was then clear that we could not catch Houston, we dropped games towards the end even losing by 40pts to Jazz. We saw roaches come here to spew thrash without considering the team was coasting. Fast-forward into the main playoffs we were 5-1 between Spurs and Pelicans before Curry played. I did not see you ask if Kerr could coach. Billy Donovan at that same time was losing to Utah Jazz. Golden boy Brad Stevens, how is he faring? Let me put this season aside, Brad beat Raptors with his feeder team and got blown out by the same Raptors when his starters played. Where was your post questioning his coaching? I have more stats on Brad losing with his starters but he is not the widely regarded best coach so let me settle for the best coach. Greg Pop won 20 games out of 82 without Tim Duncan. In fact, over the course of his coaching career, Great Pop is sub 500 without Timmy. You know what that means? It means Pop has lost more than half of the games he coached when Tim Duncan did not play. So why is Pop a great coach and Kerr overrated? When you have answers for my questions, I will bring stats to expose all the "HOF coaches" in the NBA so we would see if Kerr is not the best coach in the NBA statistically. |
raumdeuter:Some french Journalist on ESPN said Deschamps felt the time Laporte was called, he stayed on his own. Barely spoke to any of the others nor did he hang out with them. They felt he was too quiet and serious and might hurt their team chemistry. If talent was key, Laporte will start for France. Mumu french team that is still calling old man Ramis. |
In case anyone was wondering, this will be KDs life in NY for example. Score a lot of points and lose. We suck. |
Fkhalifa:Oga this is fraudulent analysis. From what we have seen, Pep's City cannot outspend anyone. We know this because each time he competed with any team for any player, the other teams almost always won. Fred, Jorginho, Alexis are some of the players he was outbidded for. Pep goes for talents that he can identify with- some of which other managers either cannot see or do not even want. When he moulds them into wonderful players, you people switch and start spewing trash. The only reason some of Pep's players come a bit pricy is because most teams know "if Pep wants this player, then he must be really good" so they hike the price. That is why Mahrez that will later come for 60M was few months prior tagged at 90M because they thought Pep was desperate to have him having lost Alexis. |
iPopAlomo:So if he won it, what next? What criteria will you then reassign him to, to prove he is the best around? You should be hiding. You have been totally exposed. Thing is, I already know your type. Soon as the UCL is won, you'd say, let him do back to back like Zidane to prove himself. You have quarrelled with common sense and she swore never to help you again. |
Fkhalifa:BTW, Pundits did not instantly do anything. It was a toss-up between United and City. City started gaining traction because of how they started. Even at that, Pep kept warning that his team was not yet fully set and some NLders here told you people about how old the squad was. To now claim acquisitions made Pep a favourite is nonsense. |
Fkhalifa:You were corrected on Sterling, I would think you would fact-check before calling Mangala a league winner. Hope you know Pellegrini only won one league title at City? And Mangala is a massive flop. But tomorrow, if Pep makes him like prime Puyol, you people will turn around and claim he was a world class star who had it in him and was therefore bought for 42M. I tire. |
Fkhalifa:Mangala was bought for 42M. Which means any manager who bought him got a world class potential player, right? Since that is how it works. |
Fkhalifa:Sky will report any transfer. So reporting a transfer means nothing. You guys puzzle me. What is "he was not SO unknown"? The Sané you see today is that the Sané of Schalke? The same free scoring decisive Sterling of today is that the one we have always known? |
iPopAlomo:You are not supposed to be responding to any posts. You are the one who has confirmed yourself a fraud. Stick to one narrative. If Pep won in Bayern you will still say he did nothing because Bayern won it before he came. You people are incorrigible. |
raumdeuter:After the Southampton game that Stones made a mistake, even the British media turned on him. It was Pep who came out first to say as long as he remains City manager, Stones will be a huge factor to it. Next, he approached the same Stones and encouraged him to continue passing it out the back the very same way. Today, Pep did nothing. |
Spy360:You are the only previous sceptic I respect because evidence convinces you. |
Just this last world cup Fernandinho..Sterling...Bernado Silva and Jesus were criticised and called frauds. I don't want to talk about Mendy and co that did not even play at all. Even KDB was criticised. But as soon as these same players play for Pep we start hearing about how much they were bought for and how world class they are. To me, it is a testament to Pep more than a criticism. I don't get irked by such anymore. Another thing I was hoping people will state on NL (but I am yet to see on any thread) is that Maradona is a very good friend of Jose Mourinho (you can watch the documentary on Mou's 10th year as a manager to see this) so it should come as no surprise that he has been taking his man's side. He does not believe what he is saying. As for the confused people who talk about tiki-taka and what not. They should go and watch Pep's Barca, Bayern and now this City. He plays (and has always played the most balanced style of football) where he mixes great counter attacking, short passes, long passes and even root one to win games. I laugh when I see "analysts" on NL spew thrash. Eveyrwhere he went his teams usually scored the most and conceded the least except Barca 2011/12 and City 16/17 and in those 2 seasons he did not win the league. If his style was just "tiki-taka" why is it till date impregnable to other tactics from other coaches? |
There they go again. Because we did not lose to this same Rockets at Oracle when KD first got here? I don't understand. Someone cannot lose in peace again. |
Manutd19:How much more money do you think KD needs to make that will change his life? Not much I can tell you. The Lebrons..Jay Zs..Drakes..Kanyes of this world all live in California and they are his friends. Then KD is a businessman. There are certain gigs and portfolio businesses he only got to know about because he was in and around the who are whos in California. Let me not even mention how strategic San Fransico is. You can't compare that life to any other state. Never mind the weather that is perfect for celebrities like him. Notice I have not even mentioned winning which (in terms of passion) gets renewed every year. If you think people get tired of it, ask Jordan who till this day regrets retiring for almost 2 years. The only thing keeping KD from re-signing is his insecurity. The man just loves being courted. He admitted that seeing the whole warriors ensemble come to pitch him made him make the decision. You can see the same warriors making similar not too subtle moves. First, they introduced him last during the ring ceremony. Next, he was taken to the site of the new building. And now Draymond even got suspended without pay for him. Those things get to him. If you really think someone can win enough and make enough money to now go somewhere else to struggle and earn big, then he could have never left OKC nor would he have ever come to GSW. Other teams could have paid more for him. Make no mistake, if he leaves, GSW will not be a 16-1 championship team like they did when he first got there, but GSW will still be the team to beat in the NBA that fact is very clear. Then the next thing will be where will KD go to? Raptors? Cold Toronto? NY Knicks? To garner scoring titles whilst winning fckall? Clippers? Do you genuinely think that Clippers team will best OKC with Russell and PG in the playoffs? So what about his friendship with Curry, Klay, Cook? His respect for Kerr? Bob Myers? He will throw everything away because Donkeymond lost the ball trying to play hero and they got into a spat? Let us use our tongue to count our teeth. The man wants to be courted this off season. Neega created burner accounts to praise himself. I love him but that is how insecure he is. He will listen to a few pitches from teams that will largely brandish money at him (money he already has a ton of by the way) and then sign for GSW. It is what he was going to do from the jump. And no recent event has convinced me otherwise. |
Roland17:Of course, I agree many teams can clear rosters and pay luxury tax for KD. The question is to what end? What is that one team that can afford to do that and still maintain their status as genuine championship contenders? Ziltch. Not one. KD is a great player but not great enough to win anything with an unbalanced or poorly coached team. We have OKC evidence for that. Then he is a full grown celebrity at this point. No offence to New Orleans, Dallas etc but they are just suburbs. Boredom will roast him there. The lot of those other teams are dysfunctional and he can see it just as we can. We also know he is very insecure. KD is not going to play in LA with Lebron and enhance Bron's legacy. Most of the seasoned analysts know this but keep churning out hot takes for ratings. In fact, of all the things Draymond would have said, the only thing that would have gotten to KD is Green reminding him that the team had won a ring before he got there and that certainly is the reason the team took his side and not Green's. KD is a Green-apology away from re-signing with GSW. That is not to say he will end his career at GSW but I can bet almost anything, he will be a Warrior come the new building in SF next season. |
This media narrative about KD leaving. LOL. To where? People talk like every team can afford him or can win with him. The only thing that man cares about at this point is money. Nothing else. Nothing about the whole "we knew he was moving" narrative makes sense. Two highly tensed people were involved in a scuffle and Draymond tried to get at KDs insecurities because Draymond is a nut-kicker. That is his persona. KD is not moving anywhere. People can quote me after the season. |
ollah2:Always go where you are celebrated not where you are tolerated. |
raumdeuter:I even thought James was injured. This Ribery conundrum is something. |
2 many egos in Philly. |
Rightly disallowed goal sha. Lewa was off. I don't know why Ribery and not Gnabry finished this game. I think it is fair to say Kovac is afraid to challenge the status quo at Bayern and it is his greatest undoing. |
Ribery is past it. |
ollah2:He is already enjoying his football here why would he want to mess that up? |
ollah2:Would you return if you are him? |
RuuDie:I have seen oh. Na this Paco Alcacer wey Barca no use well dey pain me right now. |
Yea...Hummels and Ribery have deserved yellows. My first Bayern game of the season. Impressed with what I have seen. Kimmich and Boateng have thrown mad passes. Gnabry is looking rejuvenated. Even Ribery has put in a shift. I don't understand the Dortmund hype. I was expecting more. |
I love Henry but he should be fired. |
daveP:Fake news. Ronaldinho NEVER played for Pep. |
Unlimited22: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mql9dPsOGpg That is the official match highlight of that game. While you are at it, kindly show us how City were on the backfoot prior to the penalty and what stat you have that will support it. As for the people hailing whatever they want to hail; it is called propaganda. Only one team consistently had all their players behind the ball. Only one team was hoping to win through counter and pressing. Only one team hoofed the ball to by-pass the press. The other team did everything they are known for only that Mendy and Walker did not bomb forward as they usually would. Like I had said before; Any game City don't win by 4+ goals the narrative is always that the other team deserved a draw. Invite me to a discussion on praising Pep and rubbishing others. I am not sure I have seen a thread where that was happening. |
IKON360:Ironic, that this is coming from someone who has made one irretrievably daft statement after another in the past week or more. LMAO. |
Unlimited22:The same game you could not explain what Salah was doing all game? If you play Liverpool, in their ground, where you have not won, since 2003 and only get a draw, because you missed a penalty and had better scoring chances, I struggle to understand how else you did not outplay them. But I understand where you are coming from, whenever City don't win a game by 4+ goals the general consensus is usually that the other team deserved their draw. People on your thread actually said if Conte was more attacking your team would have nicked a draw in the 1-0 loss at the Etihad last season. LOL |
