Career / The 5 Keys To Wealth And Happiness by Erukuomoibadan: 8:24am On Nov 15, 2013
We all have the ability to take absolute
charge of our lives—but having the
ability isn’t the same as using it.
Life is full of pitfalls that prevent us
from maximizing our full potential. The
5 Keys to Wealth and Happiness is your
map to where some of these pitfalls
are, and your guide to overcoming
them. If you master these keys, there’s
no limit to what you can do!

Key #1: You must learn how to handle
frustration.

Frustration can kill dreams. It can
change a positive attitude into a
negative one, an empowering state into
a crippling one. Look at almost any
great success, and you’ll find there’s
been massive frustration along the
way. All successful people know to plow
through roadblocks, using each
setback as a learning experience.

Key #2: You must learn how to handle
rejection.

Is there anything in the human
language that stings more than “no?”
How often have you decided not to try
for a position at your company, make a
sales call, or take an audition because
you didn’t want to be rejected? There
are no real successes without rejection.
The more rejection you get, the better
you are, the more you’ve learned, and
the closer you are to your outcome.

Key #3: You must learn to handle
financial pressure.

Handling financial pressure is about
knowing how to get and how to give,
knowing how to earn and how to save.
Money is like anything else in life; you
can make it work for you, or against
you. Learn to deal with financial
pressure with the same purpose and
elegance as other things in your life, so
money is no longer a source of
unhappiness or compromised ideals.

Key #4: You must learn to handle
complacency.

We’ve all seen people—celebrities,
athletes, business owners, etc.—who
reach a level of success and then stop.
Comfort can be a disastrous emotion
because when we get too comfortable,
we stop growing, creating, sharing and
adding value. The key to managing
complacency is to stay focused on your
vision and make sure you don’t “major
in minor things.”

Key #5: Always give more than you
expect to receive.

This is the most important key because
it virtually guarantees true happiness.
Most people spend their time thinking
about how they can receive. Our lives
change the moment we change our
focus from what we can get to what we
can give. The key to any relationship is
you have to give first and then keep on
giving.

Sports / SHOCKER: Victor Moses Parents Alive In Edo State? by Erukuomoibadan: 6:26am On Oct 11, 2013
Having moved from a relatively small football club in England, to one of the top 3 best in the UK & one of the best in Europe presently, in the shape of Chelsea FC of England.

The young man contributed so well to his club achievements in only his first season there. Not forgetting he was also fantastic in Nigeria's Nations Cup win in South Africa earlier this year.

The gist currently going on about is that contrary to his claim to have lost his parents a few years ago to sectarian riots in the Northern parts of Nigeria (Kaduna State to be more precise).

That claim might well be very farfetched and totally away from the truth. According to some reports, his parents are said to be hale & hearty, very alive in Edo State of Nigeria presently.

According to the old media reports Mr & Mrs Austine & Josephine Moses- supposed parents of Victor Moses, who were said to be missionaries and were supposedly killed in 2002 during the sectarian riots in Kaduna.

The 11 year old had gone out to play football, only to return to a home already destroyed and parents murdered. Victor Moses hence had to travel to the UK to seek for asylum. And the rest his now history. With this new discovery now as claimed by Sunday Express of Sunday, May 26 to June 1, 2013 on their page 6, what is the true situation of things?

What does Victor Moses have to say about what has been discovered? Is this a case of doing all one could do, to seek for the golden fleece abroad?

Sports / Victor Moses Unveiled As Glo Ambassador by Erukuomoibadan: 6:15am On Oct 09, 2013
National Telecommunications operator and Africa’s biggest supporter of football, Globacom Tuesday in Lagos announced the appointment of Nigerian International and Liverpool Football Club player, Victor Moses, as its newest brand ambassador.

Moses was unveiled to the public at a press conference held at the Mike Adenuga Towers headquarters of the company in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking at the occasion, the Group Chief Operating Officer of Globacom Mohammed Jameel stated that the 22- year-old footballer had within his short playing career distinguished himself at both club and national team levels.

He added that the highly talented winger has also been a good inspiration not only to up and coming footballers and the younger generation of Nigerians.

Jameel said that one of the ways in which the company has been promoting indigenous sports as well as arts and culture was through the appointment of enterprising Nigerians in various sectors as brand ambassadors.

According to him, “This is not only meant to promote the growth of the various industries but also to encourage our teeming youth population to aspire to realise their dreams by looking up to these crops of ambassadors as mentors.”

“It is in line with our commitment to delivering value and rewarding excellence that we have signed up one of our own, a Nigerian International, a dynamic winger and outstanding member of our victorious National Team, the Super Eagles, Mr. Victor Moses to project the Globacom brand across the continent,” Jameel stated further.

He described the unveiling ceremony of the footballer as a further demonstration of Globacom’s commitment to the development of Nigerian Football in Nigeria.
Responding, Moses thanked Globacom for considering him worthy of being the company’s ambassador, promising to make Globacom a bigger brand and “score more goals for the company”.

Moses stated that the Globacom ambassadorship is his first endorsement contract in Africa, adding that he will make everybody proud by working very hard to ensure that the Super Eagles qualifies for the next World Cup.

He also advised young footballers to work extra hard on their talent to become outstanding.

Business / Re: What Do Millionaires See That Others Don't? by Erukuomoibadan: 11:34pm On Sep 26, 2013
naijacutee: Millionaires see opportunities where everyone else sees problems.

- For example, in the 90's everyone saw a problem in getting clean drinking water while about town. The filtered bottled water of the time (Ragolis) was expensive at N100+, and the "ice water" people sold for 1 Naira had no credibility. Someone saw a gap in between, and thought about treating water to make it drinkable, and selling it at an affordable rate of 5 Naira. A millionaire was born.

In the same way, where many see an ASUU strike, some will see opportunities for alternative teaching methods that can lead to successful careers. Where many see a phone battery problem, a few will see an opportunity for portable battery charging devices, and stations. Where many see a traffic problem, a few will see an opportunity for a home working solution that can be employed across businesses. Where many see a problem in the effort required to pound yam, a few would see an opportunity for an automated yam pounder.
youre blessed

Bluetoooth:

1) Give up the habit of waiting

The way you spend your time defines who you are.  You don’t get to choose how you are going to die, or when; you can only decide how you are going to live right now.  Trust me, a year from now you will wish you had started today.  Read The Now Habit.

2) Give up the excuses

Sooner or later you will come to realize that it’s not what you lose along the way that counts; it’s what you do with what you still have.  When you let go, forgive, and move on, you in no way change the past, you change the future.

3) Give up trying to be perfect

Sometimes we try to show the world that we are flawless in hopes that we will be liked and accepted by everyone.  But we can’t please everyone, and we shouldn’t try.  The beauty of us lies in our vulnerability, our love, our. complex emotions – our authentic imperfections.  When we embrace who we are and decide to be authentic, instead of perfect, we open ourselves up to real relationships, real happiness, and real success.  There is no need to put on a mask.  There is no need to pretend to be someone you’re not.  You are perfectly imperfect just the way you are.

4) Give up doing things you know are wrong

Nothing is more damaging to you than doing something that you believe is wrong.  Your beliefs alone don’t help you grow and thrive, your behavior and actions do.  So always do what you know in your heart is right, for you.

5) Give up feelings of entitlement.

Nobody owes you anything.  When you approach life with the false sense that you are owed things, you will naturally become less productive and constantly find yourself disappointed by reality.  When you are grateful for what you have, and see positive things as bonuses, versus owed entitlements, you will earn great successes gradually as you grow.  Read The Road Less Traveled.

6) Give up relationships that want you to be someone else

The best kind of relationship is the one that makes you a better person without changing you into someone other than yourself.

7) Give up letting others decide what you can and can’t do

In order to live your own authentic life, you have to follow YOUR inner GPS, not someone else’s.  When others say, “You can’t do it!” or “That’s impossible,” don’t lose hope.  Just because they couldn’t doesn’t mean you can’t.

8.) Give up being a helpless victim

Yes, it is unfortunate that sometimes bad things happen to the best of people.  Life can be unfair, unkind and unjust.  However, being stuck in a victim mentality does not nurture your ability to move onward and upward.  You’ve got to stand back up and take positive steps to heal and grow.

9) Give up worrying about past failures

Accept your past without regret, handle your presence with confidence, and face your future without fear.  You are today where your thoughts and actions have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts and actions take you.  Read How to Stop Worrying and Start Living.

10) Give up blaming everyone else

Either you own your situation or it will own you.  Either you take responsibility for your life, or someone else will.  Blame is a scapegoat – it’s an easy way out of taking accountability for your own outcome.  It’s a lot easier to point the finger at someone or something else instead of looking within.  Blame is not constructive; it does not help you or anyone else – nobody wins in the blame game.  The amount of energy and stress it takes to place blame elsewhere takes away from your ability to move forward and find a real solution.
And remember, the road you are traveling may be the more challenging one, but don’t lose faith.  Don’t listen to the doubters, don’t let setbacks keep you down, and most of all, don’t give up on yourself.

It’s okay if you don’t know how much more you can handle.  It’s fine if you don’t know exactly what to do next.  Eventually you’ll let go of how things ‘should be’ and start to see all the great possibilities in front of you.  This is your life – grab the wheel with both hands and keep steering yourself in the right direction.

Celebrities / The Battle Continues:ffk & Bianca Ojukwu May Be Heading To Court by Erukuomoibadan: 11:28am On Sep 09, 2013
Yep, these two maybe going to court because Bianca Ojukwu has rejected Femi Fani Kayode's non- apology. Femi issued a statement last week withdrawing his earlier claims that they had an 'intimate relationship' in the past but Bianca's lawyers said the retraction was not sufficient and satisfactory and have decided to go to court. Femi Fani Kayode this morning responded to Bianca's lawsuit threat, insisting that he didn't lie and threatened to reveal details of his 'relationship with her. Like Bianca, he has also issued a statement threatening to sue. Read Mrs Ojukwu's statement below, issued via her personal assistant, and find FFK's response after the cut...
“The attention of Her Excellency, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu has been drawn to a statement purportedly issued by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode through one Mr Akinola Babatunde Rotimi and published in the Daily Sun and ThisDay Newspapers of September 6, 2013.The phantom claim in the said statement that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode and Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu were once good friends to the knowledge of mutual friends who are still alive is not only false, baseless and typical, but a further attempt by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode to create the impression of a connection between himself and Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu.
“Whilst it is important to reiterate that Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu has never met Chief Femi Kayode and does not know him in person, it is pertinent to note that the statement issued through Mr Akinola Babatunde Rotimi, falls far short of an apology and retraction of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’s false and libelous outbursts and is merely a desperate attempt to lend credence to fabrications, which he seeks to present as reality with intent to gloss over the very serious issues arising from the reckless publication.

“In the circumstances, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu is left with no option than to leave the matter in the hands of her lawyers.”

Femi Fani Kayode's statement...
We read the comments of the P.A. to Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu in the Sun Newspaper of 9th September and in a number of other newspapers where she expressed the view that the withdrawal of the comments made about her by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode were ''not enough''. We really do wonder what Mrs. Ojukwu really wants from Chief Fani-Kayode and what her agenda really is? Throughout this matter Chief Fani-Kayode has chosen the path of peace and has attempted to avoid an ugly and public quarrel with Bianca Ojukwu out of respect to the memory of her late father Chief C.C. Onoh and the memory of her late husband, Dim Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu . Consequently he has publiclly apologised to her and the two other igbo ladies that he mentioned in the said article (namely Miss Chioma Ansoh and Miss Adaobi Ucgegbu) on two separate occassions, in three separate national newspapers and online. He has has also publically withdrawn the words that they found offensive, he has edited the said article, he has ensured that no newspaper in Nigeria that published it mentioned their names in the revised version, he has admitted that the word ''intimate'' that was used in the online version of the article was ''indiscreet'' and he has bent over backwards to tread the path of peace and to appease all those concerned. Despite all these efforts Bianca Ojukwu has refused to be appeased or to let go and she has continued to peddle the shameless lie that she has never met Chief Fani-Kayode. This is sad and unfortunate and it is beyond the imagination of anyone that a serving Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria would so readily and so easily be given to telling such lies. Chief Fani-Kayode is not comfortable with publiclly joining issues with ladies when it comes to matters of a private nature such as this because he was well brought up and he is a gentleman but it is clear that Bianca Ojukwu is desperate to go to war over this issue and to cover up the truth about their past. It is also clear that she has constituted herself into the arrowhead of a group of people that are determined to use her and this whole unsavoury episode to attempt to distract attention from the wider and more important issues raised in the essay and to discredit him. Since that is the case we welcome whatever action Ojukwu wishes to take in court and we shall gladly meet her there. We will also be instigating our own legal proceedings against her in due course for her barefaced and malicious lies and her consistent claim that she has never met Chief Fani-Kayode all in an attempt to libel, defame, diminish and discredit him before the entire world. We wish to state clearly and categorically that not only did Chief Fani-Kayode know her but he also knew her far better than she cares to publiclly admit. The precise nature of that relationship will be explored and exposed in open court. It is not in the nature of Chief Fani-Kayode to fight unecessary and distractive battles over flippant matters such as this but on this occassion he has been compelled to do so simply because he will do whatever it takes to protect his integrity and establish the fact that he has told no lie. Since she has continued her shameless perfidy and wishes to tread the path of deceit and confrontation then so be it. Finally let it be clearly understood that at no point did Chief Fani-Kayode lie about the nature of his relationship with Ojukwu. However he did not feel that it was appropiate or necessary to share the details of that relationship with the public because he felt that such matters were strictly private. The fact that she mistook his mature exercise of restraint and discretion, even when provoked and insulted, his desire for peace and his gentlemanly nature for weakness is not only unfortunate but also a grave miscalculation on her part. Once again we reiterate the fact that we counsel Ojukwu to take whatever course of action she pleases and we welcome this opportunity to expose her for what she is. The matter has been referred to our lawyers for final preparation. They will prepare a vigorous defence to Ojukwu's absurd allegations and they will also determine our next line of action against her''- Mr. Tosin Emmanuel, p.a. to Chief Femi Fani-Kayode
