The drive came back from Abuja yesterday and he said the road is bad. Since it's he route and he Plies it all the time, it's only normal we let him decide what's best for the team.
We've fixed the temperature issue. No more AC.
We're not even bothered about when we get to Abuja. Everyone is gisting and laughing and happy. Nobody's in a hurry.
We're back on the road. I wish you safe journey bro. |

41 year old woman, earns next to nothing, beauty falling everyday (that's if there's anything still left of it), probably achieved nothing in her 20s/30s, approaching menopause etc and a man came for you but your problem is that he earns 100k monthly?
You women are so so delusional. Don't worry, you'll probably die alone with this mentality.
Get a cat or dog instead (that's if you can feed it). Rubbish. |

rusher14: You lecturers are greedy.
If you think you deserve more, port to the many private universities that dot the Nation.
I know you can't.
Where else would you get cheap accommodation often in a place with 24/7 electricity?
Where else would you be bullying undergraduate and postgraduate students without repercussion?
Where else would you be pinching and harassing female students without restraint?
You down tools for months knowing you can't be fired and all emoluments for the period would eventually be paid.
Nonsense. Spoke my mind completely. These lecturers are one of the major problems of Nigeria, very useless bunch - most of them. |

Mullernobi: The federal government can never and will never dare to withhold salaries of ASUU members. Wake up, bro Let's watch. These ASUU members ought to suffer too in one way it the other. They knew this government is practically useless but chose to hold innocent students to ransom even when they were not owed a single penny of their salaries? |
Education › Re: Pay Salary Backlog Or Forget Unfinished Academic Sessions, ASUU Tells FG by Es350: 7:54pm On Aug 19, 2022 |
So ASUU wants to collect payment for the months they didn't work? Never. They must suffer with the students they're holding to ransom. As a student, I 100% support no work no pay. Why should they be paid? What did they do in the past 6 months aside running their side hustles and lecturing in private universities and state universities which were not affected by the strike? So students would be the only ones who'll bear the consequences of their useless strikes? Una never see anything. What a bunch of idiots. Not like they even teach anything. Rubbish. They should resume from where they paused before.the strike and go from there. No work, No pay baby! |

Thunder will fire this ASUU people. They don't know that they have now stepped on the toes of already frustrated Nigerian students.
Their time is coming don't worry. Very useless union.
As a Nigerian student, I 100% support FGs no work no pay policy. Students can't be the only ones loosing in this fight, ASUU must loose too.
What a bunch of rogues claiming to be "intellectuals". Nonsense. |
Education › Re: ASUU’s Insistence On 6-Month Salary Stalling Negotiations – Federal Govt by Es350: 7:26pm On Aug 19, 2022 |
Sacramento85: The bone of contention isn’t the withheld salaries. Government set up a committee to negotiate with ASUU. The committee recommended some stuffs including agreeing to increase the salaries of lecturers and prof to the tune of 1.5m. When they met on Tuesday, the government brought another paper and only added 60k to Prof salaries to make it #474k. The poorest in Africa.
ASUU rejected it. This is because the Briggs committee had an agreement with ASUU to increase their salaries to an enviable heights. But what government brought on Tuesday was off key, low and poor.
The minister is talking about withheld salaries as diversion. The salary is very poor And where did you get this information? |

Adeboy29: Good day Everyone.
I'm a 300L Medical student in OAU(yet to begin 300L though because of ASUU). Time is no longer on my side age-wise. ASUU strike and the current state of Tertiary education in the country have left me depressed.
Please, I need your inputs on the following options that I've thought about:
||Make a transfer to a private university, preferably Bowen, because medicine in Bowen is intercalated, they award a BSC alongside MBBS.
||Make to a transfer to a state university like Lasu, since they are not affected by ASUU. But my fear is this might change in the future.
||Make a transfer abroad, I don't think this is feasible though... Transfering abroad is the best option if you have the funds to process it. Transferring to a private university is also good but again, that's if you have the funds required and know your way around. Aside those, I'll advise you wait on ASUU, I know it's frustrating but you're not alone. That's what I'm also doing since I can't afford moving abroad yet - I'm not a medicine student though. |

Zeekaycn: Is it that people don't know how to live freely, peacefully and happily in Nigeria? Yes I agree that there are so many challenges in Nigeria but I tell you for free, Nigeria is the most free country in the world. You can become anything you want.
I don't understand how someone with over N10million will spend all that money searching for green pastures, to me you are already on a fresh green pasture.
This is a total scam, you spend so much money educationing yourself to work for people (Whites) who don't even have your level of education.
The huge money you spend educating yourself goes to their purse, you graduate and work to better their economy.
I think Africa is really sponsoring the well being of the Western world. Back home we use all our savings to buy gadgets, expensive cars and phones. Cars that we don't even have roads to drive them. They keep releasing new version of phones, imagine people using expensive phone for a show off. Don't we think our monies are still going back to where these luxuries are imported from?
Celebrities keep upgrading their garages without employable investment. If I talk they will say what concerns you. If you know the amount of money going out from Nigeria alone for importation of phones you will cry. Yes phones are useful but using phone that worth 500k or above while you are earning below 150k is waste, subscription not even included.
We keep blaming government for making live difficult but when we manage raise money we can't invest. We have empty land everywhere, no farming, foodstuffs are getting scarce now, but someone will prefer to raise like 5million to go and do care job abroad.
I'm tired with black man mentality Your only problem is that you don't have Japa money. If you did, you will probably be on one travel thread researching how to Japa and not here writing a whole lot of jargon. Baba even said "Nigeria is the most free country in the world". Lmao, something is definitely wrong with you. |
