The bone of contention isn’t the withheld salaries. Government set up a committee to negotiate with ASUU. The committee recommended some stuffs including agreeing to increase the salaries of lecturers and prof to the tune of 1.5m. When they met on Tuesday, the government brought another paper and only added 60k to Prof salaries to make it #474k. The poorest in Africa. ASUU rejected it. This is because the Briggs committee had an agreement with ASUU to increase their salaries to an enviable heights. But what government brought on Tuesday was off key, low and poor. The minister is talking about withheld salaries as diversion. The salary is very poor |

Make dem televise the meetings between ASUU and federal government live so that everyone will know who's lying exactly and also know if ASUU are really fighting for the interest of the students or just themselves. Also we'll know if it's the ministry of education that's using Nigerian students lives to play ludo. 1 Like |
