Good day everyone. I have been an anonymous follower of this thread for few months. My wife delivered a XX today after over 18hours of contraction. I was a first class witness of a my wife delivery session and my resolution is that mothers need to be adequately taken care of. We registered for ante natal at both private and government hospital here in Lagos. One thing I observed about general hospital is that they advertise CS to their patients which I am not really cool with. My wife met a consultant at general hospital and the consultant was persuading her to go for CS without even asking us to go for a pelvic test. On the other hand the private hospital also gives us words of encouragement. My wife opted for the private hospital and she delivered without going through knives and scissors. I can now boldly wish myself happy fathers day

Yes, tried actively to conceive for 13yrs before I braced IVF and was lucky got answered at my first IVF Trial. It's still surreal, I keep thanking God every second. I always take a second look at myself anytime I pass a mirror or reflective glass

Dear Mama's, since 3 days I have been experiencing malaria symptoms and contractions at 34wks and 3days. I refused all advances by DH and my people to go to the hospital to have LO myself checked. Around 1pm yesterday, it got worse and I started feeling feverish and since I was at my family's house, my mom forcefully called a nurse close to the house to check me. She gave me antimalaria drugs (3 tabs) with paracetamol because I am pregnant. I told her about the contractions and she checked if my cervix was dilated or getting ready for labour (so painful cos I struggled and she didn't use lubrication ). She said it was just preparations by my baby and I wasn't in labour yet. After she left, I started feeling strong contractions which I knew something went wrong from the check. I beared and this morning I felt better, no more temperature or fever till past 7pm whoo. A tingling sharp pain appeared in my left hip close to my waist, then the fever thing started again. I couldn't bear the pains and by past 10, we left for the hospital and I was checked by the Dr and he said, it wasn't labour, it was false contractions and I had to be admitted and given drip with injections and Tablets. Fast forward to 2 hrs later when my mom and little sis had gone home, I had to pee. DH took me to the restroom and on the 2nd trip I tripped and fell on the bathroom floor with my upper back hitting the tiled floor edge of the restroom so hard, the drip needle came out of my hand and blood came gushing. The nurse ran in, she and DH got me up and the drip was reset. Baby has started kicking again, I know she is fine in Jesus name. My due date is June 28th. Please Mamas and daddys pray for me and my lo. I'm still in the hospital currently on the drip. Feeling dizzy just wanted to update y'all.

Good morning manas. Pls I have a little problem. Sunday morning in church, I started feeling little lower abdominal cramps, the pains continued till yesterday evening when it stopped completely with no spot or discharge.
The pain wasn't rhythmic but was little discomforting and was majorly on the right side. Pls should I be worried of anything? We are in our tenth week. I only got a little relief when google said it round ligament pain, uterus expanding. Is round ligament pain not too early at ten weeks?
I can't go see a doctor yet till maybe weekend. Pls house should I be worried?

Well, if its round ligament pain, i dont think it's too early cos I started having the pain since 8 weeks sef. Though it not so bad anymore or maybe I have gotten used to it.
I think its cos of my small frame I had the pain early sha. Not sure.

How are we all doing? Mbok let's come out and encourage each other and also share how we are feeling.

I've started feeling baby soft kicks abi flutters, I went for a scan 2 weeks ago and the sonographer said it's a SHE but I don't want to conclude yet. I'll be going for another scan at 20weeks to be sure, we are presently in our 18th week.

We are fine o. Glory to God. Just praying that the rest of the journey goes smoothly.

Yes I did and to be honest with you, the pains were out of this world. I was admitted and have forgotten what the pain was called jare, like the fibroid was melting away(fibroid degeneration) So after that episode I didn't experience any discomfort, went on and had my baby.
Most of us June 2018 mamas had fibroid then, one mama's fibroid was removed while giving birth through Cs and some degenerated. But my sister the pains of that fibroid degeneration I felt ehh, my labour pain wasn't compared to it.

Wow. May God help me ooo. The pains have increased and pelvic pressure has joined. Will see the dr tomorrow.

Mine is just stomach pains too, strong pains like menstrual cramps and it shift to the left or the right side sometimes.

I haven't heard him address the press directly for some time now.

Anyone with experience of pregnancy and coexisting fibroid that went on to have a safe delivery should pls shed more light on what to expect.

I think it's 6 weeks, the scan usually states the exact calculation. It also states she has fibroids, please let her go to the hospital to monitor the fibroids well, I have the same issue and the doctors said I have to be monitored closely because fibroids and pregnancy na real work.

Hello, I saw this your comment and wanted to ask what symptoms you maybe having, as I have same issue.
I sometimes have this pain especially on the left that makes it difficult to turn to my side sometimes. I'm 11wks .
Really worried about this coexisting fibroid even though my Dr tried reassuring me that it can be managed.

Some bumps come early for some ppl while some dont see a visible bump till 2nd trimester. I'm a 2nd TM and my bump at 14weeks is way bigger than it was with my first pregnancy. Bottomline is every pregnancy differs same way bodies differ.
As long as ur Dr checks u out and says there is nothing to worry about, then u r good.

U can start practicing how to sleep on ur side as that might be the only comfortable sleeping position as u progress.

Like I said earlier, relax n enjoy cos its gonna be a sweet ride

It's a thing of great joy to officially join this page. I have been dreaming of when I'll be qualified to join. Currently about 6 weeks and I return all glory to God.
The only thing giving me concern right now, is that I can feel the outline of my womb when lying down on my back. I feel the firm bulge(about the size of a small orange)when I touch it, but when standing I dont feel anything. This makes it impossible for me to sleep on my back or stomach because its uncomfortable. I'm a FTM, does anyone else have this experience? I'm just scared and different things have been going through my mind.
I use to think there should be no bulge till about 2nd trimester.
