Tonye Cole is not campaigning for Tinubu in Rivers State. His campaigns are fully on his Gubernatorial election. He knows the moment he tries it, imminent disaster awaits him. Even Wike can't be bold enough to announce any alignment with Tinubu because he knows it is political suicide. Amaechi used to be their favourite until he joined APC and Wike can't afford the same mistake.

When the cost of production rises , the cost of your subsidy rises....if you cannot pay the rising costs of subsidy...scarcity results, or price increases above the official price results.

When the budget was made in 2021 for 2022...no one knew that Ukraine would be invaded, that we would have really hellish weather in August and September, and that all that would 1) increase oil prices 2) increase the cost of refined products 3) increase the cost of transporting them....which had a knock on effect on subsidy costs.

As a result, by September 2022, we had spent more than we did for the whole of 2021 on subsidy. To make matters worse, diesel prices have been rising for the whole year (Diesel has not been subsidised since 2013,), raising the subsidy costs esp transport subsidy costs (government pays part of subsidy to transporters...that's why in theory fuel costs the same everywhere, unlike in India and the US where costs vary from place to place)....and the subsidy costs rose beyond what NNPC and government could cover.


Thus prices rose in many parts....



To give you an idea of how bad it is...in June 2021 it cost N261 to bring in one liter of fuel. By November 2022 it was costing N510 per liter.


And Government does not have the money because it is spending more on debts, massive oil stealing has reduced our oil income, and taxation is not providing enough cash, plus they did not diversify. At the end, here we are.

What nonsense are you trying to justify? Do you even know the quantity of petrol we consume daily? The fact that we pay over 3trn half annually for that fraud when we can build a new refinery and even revamp the existing ones with that same amount is something that should make any normal human being too angry to defend this government. They didn't investigate this subsidy fraud nor took any measures towards building any refinery and didn't collaborate with owners of newly built modular refineries and you come here to spill trash.. I see some people trying to defend this totally wrong action. Yes, communication of the gospel is not free and that is where asking for voluntary donations comes in. The early church asked for voluntary donations which is not wrong but asking people to pay for prayer conferences is all shades of wrong. See, carrying an Apostolic mandate or divine assignment is not easy and not for everyone. It involves complete dependence on God. Study the ministry and life of John G Lake and you will see the correct blueprint on depending on God in ministry operations. If we start practicing Christianity God's way, many people carrying titles up and down will abandon ministry because it will become less attractive to them. So sad that the gospel has been severely merchandized but worse still are the number of gullible followers of men who rush to the defence of these erring people than defend God's principles.

FYI, I used to be an APC member until recently. So I am not telling you fables. I can authoritatively tell you the ranks of Rivers APC has been severely depleted. Abe can't give Tinubu 25% in Rivers State. APC will have a good outing in the Gubernatorial elections but will be disgraced in the presidential elections as the votes will be shared between PDP and Labour party. APC won't get upto 25%. I am from Rivers state and I can tell you that I do not belong to any political party. You can see me hail a party member today and see me castigate him tomorrow if I feel his is not delivering good leadership, justice and development to its people.

2023 Presidential election I can assure you that majority of Rivers people will consider:

1. Region (North or South)

Looking at the candidate, Tinubu has more experience and has technocrats around him to deliver better than Peter Obi including judging from their past records as Governors.

Some may want to discredit Tinubu by judging him with age,religion and health status, the truth is that if Tinubu can read clearly, campaign across the 36 states without any health challenge then he can rule Nigeria.

Religion: Past history have not shown any benefits on the state of the country. Things keeps getting worst so let’s try this same religion and I can tell you it will reduce religious bigots and unite Nigerians irrespective of religion or region. These religions were imported, our root unites the black people more as one united people of Africa.

The battle in Rivers is between Peter Obi and Atiku because the average Rivers man still has this subtle resentment for the igbos. That is why Atiku will garner many votes in Rivers.
