They are running to Ghana to setup factory there because of constant electricity they have there in Ghana (courtesy of Nigeria), whereas we in Nigeria don't have constant electricity.

@OP Don't fret, those products will still be in our markets just that they will no longer be manufactired here in Nigeria but in other African countries.

And this is cool to you?.. how about the employment?

LegendHero:
Tinubu is the GCFR and he will run the government based on his own terms because Nigeria people gave him the mandate.

If he likes, he can appoint 1000 ministers if he believes that is the best way to drive success faster.

Anyone trying to compare Jagaban to that Awkusu murderer and stingy clown Obi should have their brain checked. Is it not the same Obi that would rather buy fuel in his car himself rather than allow his aide?

Both of them faced the ballot with their manifesto and the Nigerian people voted Tinubu enmasse relegating Obi to a distant third.

Jagaban govern the way he wants, so far we get the right result. All of you crying about his minister can wail on, it is your constitutional right BUT it changes nothing!

Politics / Re: LP Abandoned Me After I Sold Property To Support Obi –retired Colonel Shot By Th by Essenza01: 8:23am On Jul 29, 2023
I don’t know the kind of human beings people are. I sold all my property to campaign for Peter Obi. I know if it was Tinubu, I would not be suffering like this. He would have sent for me.

I challenge them; nobody in the LP did up to what I did for Obi. Not even the National Chairman, Julius Abure. I was busy borrowing money and selling some of my properties, but all he (Abure) was doing was collecting money
. Take for example, how can you collect N25m each from 15 persons in Imo State for the same governorship ticket and he didn’t screen anyone out? Who does that?

How did you get treated?

After I was shot and reported to the police, I went to the Owerri Health Centre. That’s where they started the treatment. I have been selling my property to treat myself. I sold my SUV of N4m for N1.5m just to pay the hospital bills after the gunshot because I’m diabetic. You can imagine having diabetes with BP and a bullet wound. It was a lot of cost for me during my stay at the hospital. I had to also borrow from some people. One of the people I borrowed N250,000 from has called me for the money. I will have to look for something to sell. I can’t go out again because there is no car. Transport fares costs have also increased.

I can’t believe that the LP could do this to me. I was even calling them to send me money for food while I was in the hospital, but they didn’t respond. Only two people did; Dr Omoh and Mandela, who sent me N20,000 and N10,000, respectively. I sent Kenneth Okonkwo the receipt for the car that I sold and called the national chairman, Julius Abure, but no response. I wish it was (Lamidi) Apapa that is the chairman; I know they would have come to see this old woman who suffered for the party. I just came back two weeks ago since the incident happened and am still being treated

Tales by moonlight..

Removing subsidy should have long-term positive impacts but will be painful in the short-term. Personally, I would have preferred a gradual phasing out of subsidy but it's better to remove it than to leave it in place.

Its not better to remove it without reasoning, it's better to deal with corruption, protect your borders and build modular refineries before removal... all these can be achieved in 6mths with proper monitoring on the refineries already on ground.

Nigeria... if the benchmark was to get renowned technocrats with visible investment in the real sector, minimum employment of 10,000 (direct and in-direct), I dont think we would have more than 7 persons to pick from.. that way, we would encourage technocrats to push up employment figures, thereby increasing output and real investment.. alongside giving them a "cherry at the top" self actualization..

Anyways, we can still pick from Wike, Ganduje, Fayemi and Ngige.. they are the best in society..

FreeStuffsNG:
This is academic. You don't even need millions of livestock farmers. Database is the least of the problems facing the sector. CBN had a very effective and comprehensive database of those real stakeholders and not briefcase livestock farmers.

Awesome, I like intellectual discuss... was it not the CBN database we used for the farmers growers whatever that got us no where?..

What I meant by interwoven database, is a database of not just farmers, but all other skills, Jobs and categories.. take the money out of the context and work with promisory notes. Rather than the farmer seeking fertilizers funds, he gets promisory note from the fertilizers manufacturer, who gets promisory notes from other chemical manufacturers manufacturers to make the fertilizers.. this would drastically curb corruption, increase employment, manufacturing etc.. the Govt only pays off the supposed profit 20% of the product the manufacturers were supposed to make in sales on a monthly basis. While the farmers are tasked for produce based on quantity supply. The grant stops if there is a default.
Politics / Re: Nigeria Developing A New Master Plan For Livestock by Essenza01: 7:30pm On Jul 25, 2023
What did the buhari's farmers whatever fetch?

Until we build a true database that reflects the core society, all these are just looting overheads..

Now to build that database is almost impossible in Nigeria, so what the Government needs to do is building an interwoven/interdependent database..

When we warned that the Buhari administration was setting an irreversible precedence, they all claimed its who he can work with... well, we are here now. The North can't complain, which is why it seems like the SE/SS is the major opposition.. another bad precedence is being set, the SE and SS has stopped complaining about skewed positions, the North would soon stop, then its only a matter of time before an all out anarchy breaks out... respect equity, it was there for a reason..

Politics / Re: Nigerians Will Reap Economic Gains Of Tinubu’s Reforms From Q1 2024 – Rewane by Essenza01: 8:11am On Jul 24, 2023
There is nothing to expect.... with Tinubu's policies, It would take Nigeria a whole generation to be richer than its abysmal situation, which would be as a result of de-population from the unemployment bracket. which can come in various forms, e.g migration, death, school graduation extention, infant age enrollment etc.

These policies only made Nigeria poorer than they can ever imagine.. it's not going away anytime soon, until the population adjusts with the cost of living alongside unemployment.. at today's standings, that disparity is getting wider with the less thought policies.. hope it won't get to a radical approach where we would have to pass the one child policy. just to avoid extreme insecurity or an epidemic due to poverty..

Politics / Pressure On Two Presidential Tribunal Justices To Resign, NGO Raises Alarm by Essenza01: 10:37pm On Jul 20, 2023
Pressure on two presidential tribunal justices to resign, NGO raises alarm
FIDA
By Olasunkanmi Akoni

A Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO, Face Of Waziri-Nigeria, FOWN, said strong indications have emerged of frantic effort to frustrate at least two of the Justices at Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT, to resign, in order to make mess of the judicial panel.

The group’s Director General, comrade Bukky Adeniyi, stated this in a statement issued in Lagos, on Thursday.

Adeniyi, maintained that “given the existing legal proviso which necessitates a replacement and retrieval in case the Justices resign and consequently translates to buying time beyond that stipulated by the Supreme Court is a ploy to make the case statute barred and of no effect.”

FOWN, allegedly stated “there is surreptitious move by President BolaTinubu to make the Justices resign which is targeted at ensuring the time frame of 180 days elapses before the case is concluded by the panel.”¹

According to Adeniyi; “The Justice has not resigned at the moment but we have it on good authority that Mr. Tinubu and his team are seriously working hard to threaten and frustrate one or two of them to resign so that the panel will be bereft of jurisdiction at this stage.

“This will lead to replacement and retrieval de novo. In which case, it will be statute barred once outside the 180 days stipulated by the constitution and attendant of which ends the matter, because Supreme Court cannot extend time.

“At the moment Tinubu is pressuring the tribunal. He wants two judges to withdraw or resign from the panel.

A particular Governor formerly with the PDP but now in APC sequel Tinubu’s blessing from South-South is delegated to use document of money exchange between the government of that state and one or two of the justices in the past for judgement favour then, as a proof to harass and intimidate the justices to shift the judgement of the tribunal in their favour.

The group however raised some poser on the matter: “How do you explain if at all such money exchange occurred in the past, to now want to use such to blackmail the Justice.?

“Did the Justice or justices demands for money the governor gave then or was given as thank you? In whatever case, the tribunal matter is different from whatever transaction they had together in the past.

“He faulted the recent move by the counsel to the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar to subpoena the institution on the need to ascertain authenticity of documents relating to his attendance at Chicago State University.

“Abubakar had in a petition dated July 11, 2023, by and through his attorneys, requested the court to “issue subpoena commanding a corporate representative of Resident Chicago State University (Respondent) to appear for deposition upon oral examination of the topics set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto at the offices of Dechert LLP at 35 West Wacker Drive, Suite 3400, Chicago, Illinois 60601 on July 21, 2023 at 9.00am”

The respondent is expected among other things to, “testify and give evidences and in support thereof states as follows: “That non-party Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently the President of Nigeria and is facing various court proceedings concerning his election and the authenticity of documents relating to his attendance at Chicago State University; “That Mr. Tinubu had previously asserted that he attended various educational institutions located in the Chicago area, including but not limited to Chicago State University; “To test the truth and veracity of Mr. Tinubu’s assertions, Petitioner must depose a corporate representative of Respondent Chicago State University (Respondent) regarding educational record or lack thereof, from respondent,” among others.

Wow.... please take this down, it makes you come off as below par. Supply has never been the problem, do you see scarcity?, The importers virtually buy at very marginal difference from each other, the depots sell at very marginal difference from each other aswell, the trucks lift to different locations at marginal differences too.. your exchange rate is the problem.. would more planes reduce the terrible flight fees now?
