A former Presidential spokesman, Reno Omokri on Saturday said it was very unwise for the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara to have shaded the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike publicly.

Omokri, in a tweet said “I am not sure Fubara was wise to shade Wike publicly. No matter what has happened between them, he still got to where he is because God used Wike to lift him.”

According to Omokri, “It is spiritually and morally wrong for anyone to hurl invective, whether apparently or subliminally at your benefactor. Wike may be overbearing, but at least his bullish personality got you where you are. It shows crass, not class.”

He said this would hardly happen among the Yoruba, saying “And look at where they are today. Godfatherism is bad. But when you go into a royal marriage, you don’t expect a usual marriage.

Vladimir Putin’s plane has landed in Abu Dhabi for the Russian leader’s first trip to the United Arab Emirates since 2019.

Camel riders and horse-mounted officers greeted Putin’s motorcade as it made its way from the airport to the presidential palace.

The Kremlin said earlier that the leaders of the two countries will discuss “the prospects for further development of multifaceted Russia-UAE cooperation, as well as pressing international issues with the emphasis on the situation in the Middle East.”

The negotiations in Abu Dhabi will take place in both extended and one-on-one formats, according to Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov. The high-profile Russian delegation also includes Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak, Trade Minister Denis Manturov, Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina, and the heads of the country’s atomic and space agencies.
