Your WAEC result is still valid. |
lovingT:Because on the first date, you both are supposed to spend time getting to know each other. Taking her to the movies doesn't allow for that. |
DRISKLEF:No matter what you think of Nigeria, it's our country, our home and the only one at that. Things might not be perfect, but at least we have peace. That is something that people in Syria, South Sudan, Iraq, etc with give anything, yes anything just to experience once again. And for the young men and women of our armed forces fighting a terrible war on terror so that we can live in comfort, we'll forever be grateful and always remember you in our prayers. Some of them might pay the utilmate sacrifice, never seeing their families again, others might become physically challenged and even those that came back physically unscathed will never be the same again. Our leaders might forget these Nigerian heroes, but I and many millions more will never forget them. |
The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice... I want everything black because I'm proudly African. |
Buhari is being lopsided in most of his appointments, only the Muslim north is considered fit to hold any sensitive position. These appointments will only further divide Nigerians, the effects might be not felt now but it will come back to haunt the north later in future. The north cannot develop by these actions. And before you start calling me a 'wailer', I'm proudly from the north, but what is wrong, is wrong. GED might have being ineffectual and surrounded himself with corrupt individuals, but he gave every part of Nigeria a sense of belonging. As a northerner, I can tell you that if the tables were turned, the north would not have kept quiet. I really fear for the future of this country. |
suyamasta: ![]() But on a serious note that's a bad experience, I understand your concern. |
This is a nice idea and I'm really excited about it. If all modalities are sorted out, I'm ready to invest resources and expertise. I have a suggestion though, instead of actually setting up a venture/company, why not invest the money in a variety of assets? Something like a hedge or mutual fund. |
@op So if the people on this forum advise you to leave her, you'll do it? Will you take the advise of faceless people online over the word of someone you love and have dated for over 2 years? People here will only advise you based on their personal experiences or the experiences of people close to them. Those with bad experiences will certainly advise you to forget about her. The decision to continue or not rest with you and only you alone. I've seen a distance relationship that lasted five years. I was in same school with the girl while the guy was back in Nigeria. Throughout the period of her studies, she was faithful to him. Of course sometimes during the summer break, she'll travelled to Nigeria to be with him. I've also seen distance relationships that couldn't last a year. Whether yours will succeed or not will depend on you both, only you both can make it work. Understand though, that it won't be easy. But if you truly love her, then distance should just be another challenge. Good luck. |
I think it's a nice idea and a step in the right direction (Even Google was not perfect at the beginning). But here are a couple of issues I noticed. First, it's too slow and that is unacceptable. My internet is very fast and so, slow internet cannot be the reason. Ask yourself, why should a user leave fast search engines like Google or Bing to use yours? In addition, when I searched for some terms, it found nothing. And even when it returned search results, they were few compared to searching for the same term in Google, Bing and Yandex. I think you really need someone with a strong CS and Algorithm background. Search engine is more than just programming/coding. Secondly, you've already created space for advertisement. That is just too fast. Making money should not be your main aim now. Instead, focus on delivering quality services. Look for features that will make your search engine unique compared to others. Believe me, the money will come later. |
It’s easy for the present administration to blame the previous government and failing prices of crude oil for everything. How long will this blame game continue? Yes, oil price is low, but with proper management of our available resources Nigerians should not suffer. |
I just don’t understand why some Nigerians are bent on defending every action of the present government even when it’s against the interest of the masses. Yes, I supported GMB when he was campaigning because I felt that he will perform better than GEJ. Unfortunately, apart from fighting Boko Haram (which in my opinion, he has really done well), this government has taken Nigeria backwards. The economy is a mess and is sinking deeper every day. Even the war on corruption that we all hoped would be total is one sided. I have been privileged to live outside Nigeria for about six years now and that has shown me how heartless our leaders are. At the minimum, Nigerians have the right to affordable health care services, power, education, security and infrastructure. If every Nigerians would realize how our government has consistently cheated us, we will all drag them out of their homes, give them the beating of the lives, lock them up and throw away the keys. You have no business singing their praises and defending people that are responsible for your present circumstances. |
number13:Nothing yet. I'm still searching. |
number13:@number13 I'm heading to München. Any success with accommodation? |
Neyoalao:And it also depends on the university. Some accept direct applications. I applied directly to three universities (TUM, RWTH and Saarland) and got admission into two (TUM and Saarland). |
ebele17:@ebele17 It's clear now, thanks a lot. |
ebele17:@ebele17 Please, I need more clarification. I'm going for Msc in Informatics and due to certain circumstances, I'll be resuming late at TUM. Maybe late October or early November. Can I still leave the insurance until I get there? I thought enrolment must be completed by early October and health insurance is required. Thanks. |
Eke40seven:Congrats. Earlier this month, I got admission to TUM for Msc Informatics. Have you started the hostel application process? What about the visa application? |
phaayy: Hi.Unfortunately, most of the countries are non-English speaking countries. As for learning a language, though it's challenging, but it's all about attitude. |
BayodeAA: Hi Abdullahi, I really appreciate your comment and will more appreciate your constant input. Kindly help disseminate this thread amongst guys out there (in russia) expecially the guys in Preparatory faculty (PodFak) and year 1 in order for them to share their experience while processing the scholarship This will help prospective scholars benefit and put them on track on how to go about it. I am trying my best but unforunately I went through this process over a decade and a lot has changed.I just want to commend BayoAA, he is doing a great job here. If we have more Nigerians like him, Nigeria will be a far better place. He is an inspiration to me. I'll try my best to bring more guys in PodFak to this thread, unfortunately, there are no first year students students in my city. Like I said earlier, I'm in second year, studying Computer Technology and Production, in Volgograd, Russian Federation. I came to Russia in Dec, 2010. Learnt the language for about 6 months(it's supposed to be for 9 months), before proceeding to my main course. I got the info about the scholarship scheme from a friend and decided to apply. Believe me, I knew nobody in FSB. I just applied, wrote the test in March and was called around June/July, 2010. Most prospective applicants think that the whole process is influenced by the Nigerian(bribery, tribalism, etc). But it's not so. I did not know any director or senator before applying and the only money I spent were for my own personal expenses(attestation of results, international passport, etc), every other expenses like visa application and air ticket is handled by FSB. So, forget about the Nigerian factor. It is worth a shot. Just pray and try. |
Davo93: Hello Ethical please drop your e-mail, i will like to ask you some things. Am one of the applicants this year. Thanks... |
lanwo: Plz i had all b's in my O'level result, and i want to study aeronautic engineering,do i get a chance to,and dat wat are d kind of questions, been asked in d appitude testjust give it a shot. the questions are a mix of maths, basic computer knownledge, english language, etc. the test shouldn't be a problem. |
somtiano2: Pls is d referals compulsory?everything is necessary. |
masteb: @Bayo About the medical certificate in a state hospital, I was told that HIV/Aids result will only be giving to you Orally(not Writing). Is that true everywhere? Also checking through the website, there is a place they made mention of Yellow fever which is not indicate on the requirement. What do u think about that? If possible tell me more about necessary documents.Thank youit's not true. you should be given a medical document showing your HIV status from a government hospital. the yellow fever certificate can wait till when you're picked, it is not necessary at this point. I'm presently a second year university student in Russia. |
