Good day everyone, is it that one can not fix a power steering problem once and for all??

Ok, I use Toyota Avensis and since the initial power steering went bad I have not bin able to get it right, the last repair I did was to change the pump (brand new) and the steering beam (direct benjor), after fixing it, it works smooth for about a week but gradually hearing the power steering pump whining till it gets louder (steering is soft though), I went back to the mechanic and he said I have to change the pump again but I buy benjor this time and I have to change the cup which the power steering oil is been poured on...... please guys, I have spent over 100k for just this last repair, how can I get the NOISE to stop, the steering is still soft and easy but the pum is making noise and I am not comfortable with it at all.......

I seriously need advice before buying the new pump.....I will appreciate your contribution Sirs.....

Na dem oga GAZZUZ get link regards the sure plug....I actually bought half and top, that's an engine without alternator, power steering, compressor, ETC because I have those on my old engine and I bought mine 300k..

My corrola is showing low oil pressure which several mechanics has concluded it's the oil pump and the metal is now chopper making it bring some unwanted noise. The mechanic further said we will hve to sharpen the camshaft to some size in other for it to work and the noise to disappear and not come again after changing the metal.

I don't think I even need oil ring bcosi cant see smoke but he is telling me about smoke .
I'm even afraid because in the morning where I supposed see smoke , I dont see too unless they come out before I leave the car to clean there body.

Happened to me, I overhaul my 2AZ engine and with new oil pump but it failed, even buy top engine still failed, so I bought half and top Engine (benjor) and I am flexing till today, if u would want to enjoy the car, buy a new engine, full or half and top....

If it does not work under those conditions, the flap is either leaking , electronic motor for flap defective, or stuck open.

Also door seals and rubber seal plugs on vehicle frame might be missing or defective.

Finally if your car don too old, nor just worry yasef and my sef.

yes. Once your power steering fluid is empty or very low, steering will make a whirring noise, be stiff and cries when you step on the brake

Oh thanks, I guess my steering leaks somewhere but gradually.....fluid finish within a month wish is not normal and makes sound from d passenger's side....I will have to check it

Anyone with an idea how much the pipe that connects the steering pump to the steering rack is sold for? Mine is leaking and I constantly have to top up Power Steering fluid.

Please does your steering pump makes noise during this course?
