Can anyone help me out here? For almost 30mins I couldn't post anything on NL and was wondering if I was banned. I have always tried to be very careful with my choice of words, so I'm wondering what happened. |
Na wo! All the big guns, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, dey lose!!! |
damola1: On second thought you are right. But still, I hope someday in our society, we can develop to a point where criminals in our society can be made powerless, and when they or their families, friends see this supposed property, it'll be a reminder and a good source of story for thousands if not millions of our children to avoid crime, as it does not pay!I think leaving such structures, especially the residential, can embolden some people to go into such crimes with the belief that crime pays if u are not caught. |
Just heard that the federal government has awarded the construction of 11 airport terminals, nationwide, to a Chinese company. The question is, with the lack of maintenance culture in this country, do we need such projects now. When Abuja national stadium was built in 2003, we were promised that it wouldnt suffer the same fate like that of Lagos, but today, the stadium is almost as bad as it's counterpart in Lagos. |
Sirmee: 58 Nigeria and 11 in africa.Na wa o, even countries like Gabon, Libya, Mali are now ahead of us! |

I was just day dreaming of the 'impossible'. What if the unthinkable happens and Ronaldo moves to Barcelona! Gosh! A team with Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi, Iniesta leading the attack, that'd be devastating. Hmmmmm.....like I wrote, I was merely day dreaming |
How does it destroy 29 buildings and only kill too? Injuries only abi? Abi where everi bodi dey at that time?
From the report, only 2 of the buildings were residential, while the remaining 27 were shops, so I want to believe that all the shops were closed b4 the inferno |
mu2sa2: U should not be too concerned about the use of language or choice of words on Nairaland because it's a large forum and u cant have uniformity in such situation. Some people ar rude, some semi-illiterate, abusive, loud-mouthed, improperly brought up, myopic, bigots, liars, cheats and so on - so expect the good, the bad,and the ugly on Nairaland. That's what makes it interesting.I understand, but sometimes the choice of words can be pretty heavy. Thanks man |
luvmijeje: Yoruba this, ibo that. This is getting too much.Seun u ve to do something.Main reason I came to nairaland is 2 read intelligent discussion tha will add 2 my knowelege and shape my opinion. Now all I do is read 3 comments and log off without bothering 2 read other comments.HABAThat's why I don't like commenting most times. We cant be tribalistic and expect this country to move forward as one entity. |
proudlyafrican: Still terrible in my area, have been without light through out the week. They brought it around 1pm today and they are yet to interrupt the supply as at the time of writing this post.I gave my Mum a Jotter this morning to keep record of when electricity is supplied and when it is interrupt on a daily basis beginning from today September 1st 2012.My bills are over estimated, yet i pay up without qualms, irrespective of the leprosy supply i get. Dignitary: It's just dt I dnt like hurling insults at people..wud av said u are stupid, foolish and uneducated. But sir, u have already hurled the insults na. Like a friend once told another friend "if not that u are my friend, I would have told u how stupid and childish u are". What difference does it make? ![]() |
I wrote about this b4, that it doesn't matter what people say or see about this couple, but the fact still remains that they are comfortable with each other. And just because we have celebrity divorces out there, doesn't mean that this one will suffer same fate. So many celebrities are still married, even after several years of challenges. My prayer is that God shall give them the grace and endurance to overcome whatever challenges that come their way. Together, they do make a lovely couple. I'm so happy for them! |
I'm building a 4 bedroom duplex with a basement in an estate here in Abuja and my client has spent more than 15m, however, we have done the roofing and plastering and the soil is pretty stable. Would have loved to upload some pix here, but I do need his permission |
Estatemanager: pls, how much wil it cost to complete a 4no. 2bedroom bungalow with 2toilet and bath.thanksDepends on so many factors, like location of site, materials needed, finishing etc. Is the purchase of the land inclusive? |
It was like wonders yesterday at The Place, Ikeja, Lagos venue of the press conference for Prezzo when he visited Nigeria and had chat with some journalists in Lagos. During the question and answer time, the Kenyan rapper disclosed that he was in Nigeria for a serious and unfinished business, which is proposing to Goldie to marry him. With this, he and his BBA Stargame lover, Goldie, would finish what they started in the Big Brother House in South Africa. When asked why he was in Nigeria, his response was, "My mission here is to look for Goldie. I have not spoken to her since the show ended. I came here for Goldie. In all honesty, I care about her and she cares about me. With God on my side, I pray everything works out well." Commenting on his marriage with his Kenyan wife who he has a daughter with, the ONE Campaign ambassador said, "I was married before, but now, we are separated. I had a baby girl with her and that is not the end of the world. Our divorce is in process, my babymama has the divorce papers with her. "We have been living separately for the past three years. There is no relationship between us any more. I will tell Goldie that I have been thinking about her since I left the BBA house. I will marry Goldie, you will get the invitation soon." As at press time, there has not been any response yet from Goldie. Goldie and Prezzo developed an on and off love affair while contestants at the just concluded Big Brother Africa Stargame show. http://www.africaeagle.com/2012/08/big-brother-star-game-prezzo-dumps-wife.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Africaeagle+%28AfricaEagle%29&m=1 |

homody: The referee brings the first half to an end. |
Guys, u are doing a wonderful job. I'm on the road and can still feel the excitement. Well done. Those of u watching, we want to read ur analysis since it is half time now |
As the Federal Ministry of Finance and NUPENG meet tomorrow on the fuel subsidy payment/proposed nationwide strike, what do u think will be the outcome? What are your expectations? |
As per paper things,I'm guilty of that.
I'm also very guilty of this. My back seat is a mobile office/store. My wife has complained severally about this and I'm seriously trying to stop this habit |
With the long queues forming in most of the petrol stations here in Abuja, please do share if it's the same at your side of the country. The trust level in the country has degenerated to the level that we don't know who to trust between the FG and oil marketers. And because of the deceit, we are made to suffer the consequence |
