I am still trying to understand how the egg heads in MTN came about this new wuru-wuru. Like someone posted, they certainly know that some nigerians will certainly fall for this and when u try to calculate what they are likely going to make from this, considering their customer base, it's mind boggling. And I wonder what percentage goes to the top 'ogas' at NCC
PhonesWin Brand New Aeroplane! MTN Ultimate Wonder! by etunoman76(op): 8:18am On Aug 10, 2012
When I saw this advert on the front page of a national newspaper, I couldn't help but laugh. If MTN has so much money as to give out a brand new plane, then there should be enough to take care of the network problems we are experiencing at the moment.

Come to think of it, how many of these (previous) prize winners has anyone, on Nairaland, seen? Or has anyone on Nairaland won anything from any of the network providers, apart from the occasional free credit? Please share your story
Jobs/VacanciesCitibank/fidelity Banks' Recruitment by etunoman76(op): 9:10am On Aug 09, 2012
Got this from a job site I subscribed to:
Fidelity Bank is recruiting and u can send ur CV to:
careers@fidelitybankplc.com and for those of u in Lagos, u can drop it by hand@2, Kofo Abayomi street, Victoria Island.

Also Citibank (but requires BSc 2.1), walk in and drop ur CV@27, Kofo Abayomi street, Victoria Island
However, when contacted, Citibank Customer Service disclaimed the advert but added that 'nothing stops anybody from submitting his/her CV to the bank'. With this, it will be wise for those outside Lagos to get someone living there to help them with their CV submission

I hope this helps someone out there
CelebritiesRe: Teju Babyface And Tobi Banjoko`s Pre-wedding Pictures by etunoman76(m): 12:40pm On Aug 08, 2012
It doesn't matter who is more beautiful or handsome, the most important thing is they love each other just the way they are and are willing to make things work. No one is ever perfect. The so called 'ugly' girl cud just turn out to b a great wife n a wonderful mother, and I believe that'd make Teju a contented husband. I wish them the very best!

PropertiesRe: Caught Between Paying Rents And Building A House. by etunoman76(m): 2:36pm On Jun 26, 2012
andyanders: My broda, don't mind people discouraging you now by telling you nonsense over what they do not have an idea of.
Forget people discouraging you by telling you that you needed 2.3 million or 11 million or that you needed to rent another house again.

Listen, depending the area you want the house, you can build your house with anything God put in your hands.
Block is not a house and also a house. If you have 12,000 naira, you can get 100 blocks and with 120,000, you get 1,000 blocks.
If you have that, start your house and work towards arranging up to 3,000 blocks which can give you good 2 bedrooms with 3 toilets in-suite.that amounts to 360,000. Buy your cement and get an experienced bricklayer and do not involve all these so called contractor as they will eat you dry.
If I have your number, I will call and advise you of what you can do and please, forget about those telling you that you spend millions to build house.
When you are talking about spending money, that becomes any individual's choice of the kind of fittings he wants in terms of roofing, and other kind of building materials. You can get toilet sinks of your choice,
Let me not continue because we love discouraging people. I had similar experience when my landlord increased my rent and I took the bull by its horns by taking drastic measure and it paid. I bought a land and it took me 3 months to develop a 4 bedroom apartment with 5 toilets and a 2 BQ. Now for a space of 4 yrs, I have built by myself a block of 4 flats rented out to people.

You can do same with nothing. Just have hope in God and move ahead. Most faceless people come on here to claim what they dont have and also even live in a slump claiming they have duplex and built their houses with billions. Forget them.
@andyanders, that's a very good advice. Pls, do let me have ur email address so that i can send u my fone no for us to talk more on the fone or u can send urs to my email add: gsmmayakis@yahoo.com. Thanks man!!

PropertiesWhat Happened To Nairalist.com? by etunoman76(op): 12:35pm On Sep 19, 2011
i am a little confused here cos i woke up one day and nairalist.com was 'dead'!!!! The properties section used to be an avenue where people meet and share what they have to rent/sell/buy. The properties section here (Nairaland) is quite comprehensive, but not specific enough. U come on and u dont know what is on for Abuja, where i live. I think the site shud be returned

@SuyaEater, it truly depends on ur taste. u could buy and remodify it, but due to flexibility, i'd suggest building from the scratch that's if the person has the capital for such

All I know is we can do better with those kits. May not necessarily decide if we win or lose, but since the 90's, our kits suck.
so what do u suggest? i think we had some good ones in France '98

Fellow members, i am a bit confused here and i need help. I have been hearing in so many quarters, even from U-20 coach John Obuh, that the reason why the team lost to France, was because the players wore white instead of green and, i am wondering, are we just being superstitious or there is more to it?, What do u all think?
PropertiesRe: Cost Of Building A House In Nigeria by etunoman76(m): 7:01pm On Jul 30, 2011
@ese1985, i am building a 4 bedroom duplex here in Abuja and the estimate is about N20m. Like most people have posted in here, it'll really depend mostly on the nature of the soil, the area the site is situated, access to site, ur taste, the time u want it completed and so many other factors
