sorry to hear that, are you ok now? i mean how are you coping in your neighbourhood. I thought Holland was cool generally, i guess some parts are not so nice, wow being the only black in yor school that must have been hard for you. Are your sisters mixed race? I have not experienced this , but my manager told me of when she was in South carolina working, she had to go to Nigeria to get married, a lady at the office asked when she got back how the wedding went and she went on and on and just said of hand '' wow i bet it was a nice party, with you all dancing round the fire''. she said she was taken aback but then replied'' yes it was a huge couldron and we had a captured local tribesman for starters''
Needless to say , the lady's face was picture and when the penny dropped they both laughed. I wonder if she took it seriously though. Lived in London all my life and have not had such experiences, trust me if anyone had come out with such comments in Brixton back then, they would have had their heads kicked in.

This is news to me, as far as i know and from my surroundings, there is no beef where Nigerians and Ghanians are concerned. I personally was rooting for ghana during the world cup, and i don't need to prove to anyone how much i love the small number of people i have met from Ghana, i say small because, i will not generalize and say they are all lovely or the sun shines out of their a$$, because we all have good and bad in all of us , i take each as they come.

I have not seen such generalization as you stated among my friends or family towards Ghanians, so i am really baffled as to where this is coming from.

All i say the people who argue most are the atheists and nothing wrong with it and i am over it. However, seun and Nfern you two do spoil this christain section, why did you create it seun if you wont let people of similar minds share and enjoy their faith? with out the need for them to always argue about whta they believe, if they want to beleive leave them to it, i want to post things sometimes but dont bother ncos i know it would be turned into a mooting session.

Why not create an open forum for such agruements?

My response to that particular scenario is, if it out of spite she does this,then the baby is better off without her. If she can't cope and wants to off load the responsibility on the guy then it says alot about her stat of mind and the child is ultimately better off with the dad. At the end of the day there were two parties in the making of the offspring. If she wants to give the child to someone else then she is not the best person for the child and whatever her reasons, be it wanting to have a jetsett lifestyle or live it large, she certainly is doing the best thing by the child, whether the child is looked after like it deserves to be is left to her conscience and karma.
