They where. The second team of 200 only moved in one year before the battle.

They can't down play the losses, no solder will let his comrade death go unrecognized. Thanks to our union no solder who leaked su h info would ever get punished.
it changes nothing

andrewza:
All been disprooven. One sa solder was captured. The report that claimed the extra solders killed could not exolian where the bodies went. I mean dead people don't vanish. Actually I suspect they did see 50 body bags. But where there bodies in them.

Bozzie pay for them? With what money.

Sure South Africa had minning interests and other interested in CAR. We would not have been there other wise.
but you guys come swaggering in here, claiming that SANDF troops were drafted to CAR to train government troops.
if you read the source, many mysteries would be revealed before your eyes.
your government downplayed the casualty figure in CAR,for fear of being labelled weak.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 6:12pm On Feb 23, 2015
Msauza:
13 and two more died later from injuries sustained.
lies!!,36 died,with 22 or 26 injured.
remove that number from your total 200 troops in CAR,and you will have a 138 soldiers remaining alives.
when the NA captured baga,we only lost 2 soldiers{RIPP} against over 1500 highly sophisticated BH fighters who wielded Tanks,APCs,AFVs,atillery guns, rocket launchers,anti-aircraft guns, radius and perimeter touch sensitive mines,AK47 and kalashnikovs etc....
That shows a high level of training and sophistication.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 5:50pm On Feb 23, 2015
andrewza:
13 died in CAR with 2 deaths latter on back in SA
That's a hard one actually. The training team was around 50 with the protecstuon team at 200. During the battle SA flew in a medical team and a rapid response speciol forces team. I forgot there numbers but the SF team had 5 hornets. The total force was under 300 every one included.
BLUE LIES!!
over 36 SANDF troops died, with 26 more injured.infact, seleka's commander alledged to have capture 42 SANDF troops, while eyewitnesses and french sources claimed to have counted 50 body bags.

You had 200 combat troops who went to CAR to help secure SA's mining interests, they were drafted, and perhaps paid by bozize to act as mercenaries under full authority of the government in pretoria.you didnt go to train CAR government troops, contrary to your claims about train CAR troops.

In other words, you have no idea what happened in CAR, but you have been posting about it for months - in chorus since you saw others posting about it.
common sense,you no get.
i'm asking questions that will lead the arguement to the point where i will reveal my ultimate proof, using words from his own mouth.
i know more of what happened in CAR than you can ever phantom, unlike you,i do not rely on what a tomato minister says.

andrewza:
Since I refuse to even glance at the site why don't you use there links a d make your own argument.

Some facts. Before there was even a fight south Africa secured a agreement to use the airport. It was the only airport. Durining the fight sa Double checked. The training team evacuated to the airport first. The paras and SF only moved there after the fight. The airport was the second last fall back point to. The last was to get to the DRC.
Mr Andrewza,i want to ask you a few questions, and i would love it if you answer them truthfully:
how many paratroopers were killed in CAR?
how many SANDF troops were there in the first place?
let me stop at those two for now.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Army Lied, Baga Is Still Under Our Control – Boko Haram Claims by EVarn(m): 3:47pm On Feb 23, 2015
propaganda, even the residents of baga confirmed that it has been liberated, chad also confirmed it,even BBC reporters who are known for their thorough scrutiny confirmed it.so how come BH is now coming out to deny a well established fact?,they want to cause confusion, division between citizens and the military and also kill the morale of our troops.

you are always backward with the current news and affairs or is it because you live in SA and seem to have forgotten about that small nigeria

NUNU RIBADU is a member of the rulling party

http://www.nationalbeacononline.com/new/index.php/politics/item/617-nuhu-ribadu-dumps-apc-for-pdp

Chief!! that was just the same. That was a man who was directly involved in procuring those illegal, rusty and second hand weapons which were acquire from the back door in the black market. Surely, they should have got all the information from SA mercenaries.
another proof that you are one of those south africans running a marijuana network in the suburbs of lagos.
anyways,a politician is a politician, what does ribadu know about military affairs?,give me concrete proof from a military source.

Yet I can only see children here.
it is inevitable,as children are fresh minds that can be easily radicalized.but a bulk of BH are trained fighters, the children are mainly used for suicide bombing and shielding.

Bwaahajaajaajaajaja!!! giving people's personal views as a source. You have lost it. There is no where I can attach Nairaland forum as a source. That would be an unprofessional academics ethics.
if you had bothered to read the source before typing rubbish with that your jaku jaku hand, you would have seen reuters being quoted numerous times.

Yet we killed over 600 of those child soldiers until they cried for their mommies.

What about Nigerian troops who have been slaughtered and even beheaded by these rag tag BH child soldiers?
BH isnt an army of rag tag child soldiers,it is an organised islamic terror complex supported by international allies and fielding trained guerilla fighters from the arabs and even france.

you said that it was our top military commander who made the claim,is nuhu ribadu a top military official?,nuhu ribadu is an opposition politician, how come you are posting comments made by a politician who is running for a governorship seat instead of a top military official?.what does a politician know about delicate military matters?

Yes, from Black market as confirmed by the highest ranking member in Nigerian army.
post a source where our COAS claimed that ALL of our new weapon platforms were purchased from the black market.

Msauza:
Our troops never failed, they were waiting for reinforcement. They commited massacre by killing 600-800 seleka rebels until they backed for mercy. Gripens and Rooivalks arrived and we were waiting for Game 2 and the parliament said NO.
more like you were cowed by the french government, the same french government that cameroon is now boldly defying.
your troops were slaughtered like babarians under the sword of rome by child rebels.seleka smote your paratroopers with the edge of the sword, leaving your soldiers running in wild panic under the umbrella of france.your troops failed, period.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 9:01pm On Feb 22, 2015
Msauza:
False, large majority of your weapons were acquired as second hands and illegitimately as even confirmed by Nigerian military. They even tried to acquire them illegally from SA, remember.
1 gripen= thousands of drones
1 ingwe= 1 T72, MRAPS, BTR, etc.
give a source to support your claims and i will acknowledge your point and accept defeat.if you cant, then you are a lying bas.tard.
your ingwe missiles will dissipitate uselessly against the T72 MBT ERA.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 8:53pm On Feb 22, 2015
Msauza:
Yes, you can. Executive Outcomes were specialist of Russian weapons from their armoured vehicles to their gunships and you know what, they acquired all that from the black market.
we acquired our OPCVs from the black market?,what of our CH-3,T72,T55,BTR-4,and BVP-1?,did we acquire them on the black market too?.are you mad?
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 8:49pm On Feb 22, 2015
Msauza:
Nope, war jurnos who were supposed to have been born and bred of CAR could have filmed the whole scene and pictures. In SA, there is a journalist in almost every city to cover any incident which appears to be newsworthy and if it is too risky will even organise a well trained war jurno.
to cut the long story short; your troops failed in CAR,they ran to the airport on bare foot, leaving behind dozens of your geckos to the rebels.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 8:43pm On Feb 22, 2015
Msauza:
Most of recently acquired Nigeria's weapons are just junk which has been bought from the black market. Nothing is big about them, they will only be good to chase after terrorists and not a fully fledged professional army like SANDF. We have a solution in a form of an antidote for all of them. We are definitely immune.
That same arrogance will topple your nation into a pool of flaming sulphur.
Most of our weapons were acquired legitimately through defence contractors,moreover;
what 'antidote' do you have to our CH-3 UACVs cruising leisurely into your airspace?
what 'immunity' can you muster against a convoy of T72 tanks pointing the business end of their 125mm guns at pretoria?
what 'solution' do you have against NNS Centenary OPCV penetrating your territorial waters and running circles round your frigates and submarines without asking for free fuel?
do you really have answers to our BTR-4,CS-VP3 MRAPS,Super puma armed attack helicopters etc....?

Do you mean second hand products bought from the black market which are nearing their life span?
can you buy T72 MBTs,CH-3 missile drones,BTR-4 and OPCVs{fitted with combat system} on the black market?
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 8:21pm On Feb 22, 2015
Msauza:
There were special people who were assigned to do that work and they are called war journalists. Unfortunately, CAR is still backward more like Djibouti.
so you say....in the absence of civilian 'war' journalists,a special team of SANDF troops who werent actively engaged in combat could have done it.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 7:15pm On Feb 22, 2015

That's unprofessional and immature for soldiers doing battle with video cameras and carrying riffles at the same time. We only see that unbecoming scenes happening in Nigeria, Thank you.
it isnt unprofessional,do you mean to tell me that video recordings of scenes in WW2 by world military powers are unprofessional?,it isnt unprofessional,it is something to be done with pride, something that future generations will witness and be proud of.it also has the positive effect of psycological morale boost for both soldiers and citizens.
that your troops werent capable enough to do something doesnt mean its unprofessional.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 7:01pm On Feb 22, 2015

important as in media running after them to look out for the faces of those who died among them.
hmm....be that as it may, there are supposed to be picture and perhaps video evidences recorded by your soldiers specially to prove the reports of your adventure.
a lack thereof signifies defeat.

Are you still crying foul about our mercenaries who are training your rag tag air force. Your jets are still flown proudly by SA mercenaries. born and bred in SA.
'proudly'?.you've taken too much punches to your head.

South Africans training the rag tag Nigerian military

http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/weekly/index.php/top-stories/19041-south-africa-s-secret-role-in-nigeria-s-boko-haram-battle
the purported 'secret role' isnt so secret anymore if the media is blowing a vuvuzela about it,is it?.
dailytrust is not to be trusted{pun intended},it is an obscure media group known for its notorious purvey of journalistic gibberish.
There is no defining evidence to support the obscene allegations that your source is announcing,no SA mercenaries in nigeria, dailytrust has no evidence,it also heard unconfirmed 'word' from SA's chubby tomato minister, who also heard 'word' from beeld.lol.grin grin grin grin grin ; D
it amazes me how people are content to sit down and swallow the unrealistic propaganda being heaped on the headlines of the newspapers.
