@ Evathyst. What you have done here is not right! You can still make your point without badmouthing NCE. It's unfair! Honestly, it's unfair especially with the word bolded you used.

NCE, BSc, B.Ed, etc have their respective purposes for which they are established. In education settings, all these are supposed to complement one another and not for rivalry wars.

There are very sound NCE holders, B.Ed holders and BSc holders out there. So also, we have weak ones across all the levels.

I'm sure you have Lesson Notes too in your B.Ed programme. How would you feel if a BSc graduate consider him/herself superior and refers to your Lesson Notes as "YEYE"? We need to try and empathize with others before commenting.

As I said, it's not fair! You need to make an apology on this. We are all human beings. To err is human; to forgive is divine.
Apology my foot! Try to read from previous pages so as to understand the crux of the matter. But to demand an apology from me is not only hypocritical but an height of partisanship.

Sir, you've been noticed. So, you can please swerve left. I'm here today to finish all those NCE holders who call themselves professional teachers.

It's a shame that education does not make sense and it's very disappointing when one meets senselessness where you ought to meet sense. Just read what you wrote again. I am done with you. No matter what you say henceforth I will see it a stone thrown to a palm wine tree. Mtcheew.

Could you please tell me the part of my statement that doesn't make sense to you? And I'll volunteer to translate into warri english which you were brought up with. Nonsense!

If not that we're on the internet, I'm sure your first instinct would have been to bully me as guys in that part of the world where you're from do. It's simple, people like you can't argue intellectually because you've got no stuff upstairs. Quote me again and I'll place an everlasting curse on you. Nitwit!

Miss Evathyst, let me disagree with you for the fourth time this year...

If you look at the way our educational system was initially structured, you would agree with me that an NCE graduate is more qualified a teacher than a Bsc holder.

NCE holders have been exposed to the rudiments and methodologies of teaching, while we Bsc holders haven't. Although, a good number of Bsc holders learnt from experience. Now, let me share a life-experience with you.
Sweetie, even though I'm always inclined to agree with your assertions, but on this I disagree.

Even if our educational system gives a higher priority to education graduates, it's not like comparing an NCE holder to a Bsc holder. On top wetin? is it the 4yrs that Bsc holders spend in school or the tutelage of the different Professors that they have been opportuned to pass through, or that they took courses from various departments. See, no let me vex for you o.

That our educational system gives them a higher priority doesn't change my opinion. Which yeye educational system are we even talking about self? The one that makes Civic education compulsory while Biology is not? Or the one that keeps changing the format for lesson note without adding any positive value to the overall students' WAEC result. Abegi!

Visiting Prof, please tell me another story and I'll listen to you. But this one, I beg to differ...

I can believe some people are here to talk about certificate. You claim you have Bsc whatever, you are nothing those that knows about education don't make noise at all. Talking about big schools it might surprise you that they employ NCE holders I know of someone who went for interview on the so called big school were Bsc, master and what have you came as well but to his surprise out of about 60 people he made it to the final stage. Please stop bragging about what you have because it's nothing if you can't defend it. All this Computerised graduates of these days making noise, that's if it's real. All na online.

For the degree holders . Don't think you have it all but think of ways to give in your best at all times. Stop jumping from one place to another every 3 months looking for fat salary.
*Lamentations from a frustrated buffoon* cheesy

Talk is cheap, if not you wouldn't dare say graduates can't defend their certificates. If there are graduates that can't, then, that number would be inconsequential compared to a whole lotta NCE 'waka abouts'.

Besides, you could tell us in what way you've impacted in the field of education with your 'golden' NCE. Or is it not the same you that couldn't pass POST-UTME before ending up in a college? Abegi!

I don't seem to understand your own definition of big school but in my definition a big school will never employ a BSC holder that is not in EDU or that has previously passed through NCE.
If you differ from that, you can kindly name 1 or 2 big school you know of that employ non educationist as teachers.
Now you're talking! grin

Now that I have you on the rope, lemme quickly finish you off while I await the next NCE vain-braggart. I've friends who are also members of this forum that teach in big schools like Caleb, Greenspring, Corona, Newhall at lekki. They didn't even study anything relating to education.

PS: They may not want to confirm my claims so as not to give full vent to this controversial issue. But trust me, big schools employ Bsc graduates so long as he is sound academically.

I still do not know how to reply this your demoralizing post because it shows the scope of your exposure (I am sorry if that hurts). Can you imagine? You called a teacher's manual without which he is not qualified to be in a class "yeye" lesson note. I doubt if you were taught by a teacher (sorry if that hurts). Do you know who a teacher that went to College is? He is an embodiment of knowledge. And let me educate you a little. The first and only Prime Minister Nigeria had was an NCE holder in person of Alhaji Tafawa Balewa. And you mentioned the swift learning of Bsc holder in adapting to write almighty lesson note. See let me tell you, writing lesson note is one thing, teaching is another thing. Even if that Bsc holder can write a better lesson note in a short while the truth is that he is not a trained teacher. I agree not all nce graduates are also competent but now badmouthing nce and comparing it to ssce is ridiculous and annoying. I have also seen scores of Bsc graduates who can't put two words together. I can't because of that debase degree to primary school leaving certificate.
PS: I have nce and also a proud Bsc graduate by God's grace.
Your own post is bereft of logic, hence, I'll just ignore your rantings. But I've got some simple questions for you though, if you would be sincere enough to answer them...

1- How many of your secondary school teachers are NCE holders?
2- How many big schools employ NCE holders as subject teachers? You could please mention names.
3- How many Govt Sch teachers self are NCE holders. I don't mean Pry school teachers o!

Your answers to the above questions would serve as a template upon which my argument with you will be based. Also, did you just talk about Sir Ahmadu Bello as being an NCE holder? So? What's the correlation?

And as for the name calling, I'm too big a lady to exchange words with a e-entity whose whole existence begins and ends online.... Try calling me names again, and I'll prove to you that you don't have the monopoly of name calling.

PS: I'm a Bsc(edu) graduate of O.A.U Ile-ife. So? Have you any other bragging rights? Tender it or you argue logically next time.

That's a big lie, I am a product of College of education and I can say it without fear of contradiction that there is no college of education that teaches with essential textbook. Though majority of NCE graduates were nt opportuned to gain admission into the university but that doesn't make you better than them.
Do u think teaching is all about you been brilliant or intellegent, for your infomation it goes way beyond that and only a person trained in act can know.
You can say that again!

College of wah? College of adult teaching abi? First and foremost, permit me to introduce myself properly. I'm a Bsc(edu) graduate, and so I know what I'm talking about...

The first requirement for teaching is acquisition & possession of knowledge. Whatever it is you don't know, you can't teach. Period! While I don't know much of other field, I can categorically tell you that as a Biology Edu graduate, I did courses in Botany dept, Microbiology dept, Biochemistry dept, and Zoology dept. Hence, I touched every aspect of biology. Now, let any NCE graduate that read Biology come out to tell us in which dept he did courses.

I repeat, I've seen undergraduates of colleges of Edu using Essential Biology textbooks as their course material. Believe me or not, it's the truth. Most times I check some of their handouts, Jeez! I can't help but thumb my nose in disgust. What in the Heaven are these? huh huh

And you were talking about what teaching entails right? If you think all those paparazzi Lesson note, classroom management, teaching methodologies are what teaching entails. Then, I'm afraid your own case of ignorance is beyond anyone's help. Hence, I give up on you.

Ever wondered why big schools don't even mention NCE as their condition for employment? Lolz! grin

In as much as I respect u I beg 2 differ wit wah u just posted, Are u saying a BSC holder who is not an educationalist should be pay much more dan a NCE holder who was trained 2 be a professional teacher in a teaching profession?
And what's so special about NCE that one cannot place it side by side with SSCE? huh

Or is it not the NCE that they use Essential Chemistry, Essential biology textbooks, etc to teach them? Most NCE students I've met are bunch of University-wannabes... The case of NCE holders is analogous to Govt sch teachers that are professionally qualified to teach, but academically, many of them are not in tuned with modernity...

But Bsc holders, just show them the format of that 'yeye' lesson note, they will teach your students beyond your imagination because the stuff is there.

If you're talking of graduates, abeg, never ever mention NCE holders o jere.

What's this one saying? undecided

1) There are very old grown men that play nairabet they even play more than the young guys you see on the streets,,and yes they are married,,have jobs and kids. As long as the man doesn't channel the money he's meant to use for the family's upkeep into betting then there is nothing wrong in it.

The owner of the betting site is also married and with children who gets his income from the betting site. If you were married to him will you advise that he stops it? Something that has made him a multi-millionaire.? undecided

2) And who told you playing video games at any age is bad. There are men that still play video games at their leisure. It doesn't stop him from knowing he's a man. It's part of having fun.

You are not even happy he's staying at home to play video games with the kids. What if he decides to be going out with his friends to drink is that the one you'll like? undecided

3) so supporting a football club now makes someone an "agbero". I clap my hands for your Logical reasoning. undecided you have forgotten that it's this same football that men play and get their money. It's a sport.

From what you typed up there I will just conclude that you just have hatred for the simple pleasurable things men do to relax and have fun. You better have alternatives for your man if you don't want him to be doing any of these things,,if not just let him be.

The main thing is that he doesn't make those things a better priority than you. Shikena!

That's how many of you girls will be trying to change their man from the good things he did that make him happy meanwhile you lots can't drop your own irritating behaviours that we hate. undecided

Such double standard. undecided
Your points are quite valid so is your submission. But even you have opined that whatever a man does for fun shouldn't reduce his fondness for his wife. wink Oya, clap for yaself!

But as per playing online bet or any kinda bet, I just can't tolerate it in a man. For any reason whatsoever. Being an ardent supporter of a club also has it's toll on some guy's rationality. I've seen a lotta them argue, shout, and fight over the issue of football. Gosh! It's a sign of irresponsibility.
TV/MoviesDavid Beckham Not Interested In Being The Next James Bond. by Evathyst(op): 11:05am On Sep 10, 2015
Ex England and Manchester United football legend, David Beckham, has debunked claims that he is not interested in being the next James Bond.

Following reports and pressures from fans that the football star take on the iconic movie role of a British spy, a representative of the former Real Madrid, AC Milan and PSG midfielder has told Daily Mail that the father of four is not interested in being James Bond.

However, despite refusing the opportunity to play the next 007 after Daniel Craig, David Beckham will appear in the movie Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur directed by his friend Guy Ritchie. ‘Golden Becks’ will play the role of grotesque knight with blackened teeth.

Beckham’s foray into the film industry has only been recent with a role in a special episode of Only Fools And Horses last Christmas and acting in the short film Outlaws for the British leather company Belstaff.

19- If he plays online sport bet like 1960,Naijabet, etc. Look no further, he'd make an irresponsible husband.
20- If at the age of 30 he still plays video games like 12yr old kids. Taaa! That one wouldn't make a good husband.
21- If he's an ardent fan of Chelsea fc. Forget it, you've an agbero for a boyfriend.

PetsWorld's Hairiest Sheep Saved From Being Wooled To Death. by Evathyst(op): 8:28am On Sep 07, 2015
An Australian champion sheep shearer has set an unofficial world record after clipping a sheep that had become so overgrown its life was endangered.

The gigantic sheep, named “Chris” by a member of the public who found it just outside Australia’s capital, Canberra, could barely walk when it was found.

Shearer Ian Elkins volunteered to shear the mammoth creature, which had to be sedated throughout the operation, after being contacted by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) in Australia.

He took 42 minutes to remove the 47 centimeter (18 inch) fleece, which the RSPCA said weighed 40.45 kilograms (89 pounds). It easily beat the 27 kilogram (60 pound) fleece previously shorn from a New Zealand sheep, known as “Shrek.”
