Your new passport will carry your old passport number, you got nothing to worry about.

My sponsorship letter carries my passport details which is expiring in 6 months. I have applied for a new passport and I am about applying for Visa.
Do I need to inform my employer about my new passport number?
If I go to the embassy with the 2 passports, which of the passport will be Stamped?

I am quite in a dilemma, I would appreciate your response.

Calm down I did mine same day too at ikeja tls got collection mail on 10th and got my visa on 12th, I have a friend that did his same day but nothing yet for him but am hopeful it will come out

My friend and I both applied for a standard visitors visa in October. We did our biometrics on October 25, 2021 at TLS Ikeja. After three months of waiting for decision precisely January 10, my friend got his, which was a refusal. Til date, I have not received any refusal or collection mail while my friend is already collecting his passport on Monday when we did our biometrics same day. I'm curious now!
What could be the problem?
What can I do?

Good News Fam!

I am so elated today. After the long wait (49 working days), finally picked up my passport. May God be praised.

Sent a paid mail to UKVI on 6th Jan asking for application update I was told it was still awaiting decision. Sent another on 12th Jan and was told a decision has been made that i should wait for 10 working days to be contacted.

Biometric- 2nd Nov
Centre- Abuja
Transferred to VAC/Received by VAC- 14th Jan at 10am and 1pm respectively
Collection mail- 14 Jan at 12:30pm
Collected- today, 17th Jan
Visa stamped- 12 Jan
2 years visa granted

Am so downcast, I just got a refusal mail

My cousin was my sponsor and we don't bear same surname and I did not show any pictures of both of us together. I just provided my pay slip did not add my bank account and was given Visa

They are immediate family with the husband's surname, but in this case who is the sponsor, it was her sister. So in respect to the application as the sponsor, the pictures of her sister and every other of her siblings are important to the ECO than others. But if the husband is the sponsor then picture of your sister with her husband and kids is considered more. You can shed more light too.

Your new passport carries your old passport number that covers it. No need scanning it

This might be a silly question, but my current passport is very new (renewed less than a month ago) and so the only travel history in it is my end of year vacation. However in my application I filled in my earlier travel history as well. Should I have scanned my old passport and included it in my documents?

Hello Fam,

So much has happened today!! Remember, at 10am this morning, the status changed to sent to VAC. At about 2pm, it changed to received at VAC and the collection email came in. We live close to the TLS centre so we went down there. Got there at about 2.50pm.

Received at VAC/Collection email- Wed 12 Jan 2022
Collected happily- Wed 12 Jan 2022 at 15.01
Vis Stamped- 31 Dec 2021

6 months granted to my husband who's a first time visitor.

I just tracked and it says application transferred to VAC, finally!! It's been exactly 12 weeks now. We are looking forward to the collection email. I'm keeping faith and believing that it's positive; God willing. Thanks for all your support and encouragement. You are a star!

If you are refused you will get a mail from UK embassy before getting a collection mail but if you given you won't receive any refusal mail you will only get collection mail
