Celebrities / Re: Meet Enam Honya, Ghanaian Model With Vitiligo. She's Stunning! by EvilBrain(m): 5:24pm On May 28, 2018 |
obonujoker: MJ used to paint his skin black to match his original skin colour. There are old pictures of him sweating on stage where you can see the brown make up coming off and exposing the the white patches. It was only when he got tired of constantly wearing and retouching make-up every day that his doctors advised him to just bleach the remaining skin since most of it was already white anyway. His case was actually worse because he had Lupus which is a terrible disease that kills people. Plus he had terrible burns on his head from the time Pepsi set his hair on fire. His problem was that he was too embarrassed to show people what he actually looked like. All the stuff he did to hide his real appearance just made him look weird so people were willing to believe all sorts of stories about him. The guys whole life was so sad. 1 Like |

Religions is nonsense. The new testament is full of lies. Christians don't have super powers and they can't heal anybody with magic. This glorified witchdoctor can't even claim to be more moral than others since there are secular and non-religious people who risk their lives, leave their safe countries, wear the space suit and cross that fence to take care of others they don't know. The only thing religion has achieved is to divide people, spread ignorance and make it harder to solve problems like the Ebola outbreak. We Africans should have kicked out the priests and mullahs out along with the colonial invaders that brought them. Nonsense. |

The Liberian that brought Ebola to Nigeria was desperately trying to get to TB Joshua's church. He temporarily suspended his fake healing scam only after Lagos State officials went there to threaten him. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/millionaire-preacher-sends-4000-bottles-of-holy-water-as-ebola-cure-9674136.html Religion is cancer. The rule against collecting things with your left hand is muslim thing that came from one of the prophet Mohammed's many superstitions. Unfortunately, it has been absorbed into our culture with few people realizing where it came from. It doesn't have any basis in reality and here is nothing wrong with your baby. The people giving you advice are ignorant. Ignore them. 1 Like |

naijaguy77: It's not that you can't digest milk, it's that you can't digest lactose i.e. the type of sugar found only in milk. You can still digest the fat and proteins and all the other milk components. The problem this causes is that all the undigested milk sugar gets into your large bowl where it gets broken down by bacteria producing huge amounts of gas. It also makes it harder for your bowels to absorb water causing diarrhoea. A lot of people will notice that the get serious funky smelling gas and the shîts a few hours after drinking a large amount of milk. If this happens to you, it means you are lactose intolerant. |

Demmzy15: Yes. But since I left, nobody has tried to murder me. If I was in Saudi Arabia, I would have had to pretend to still be religious or risk being jailed or killed. There are a lot of paper Muslims over there that don't believe in the religion but have to fake it because they live in an islamofacist state. If they ever stopped using state terrorism to harass people, the percentage of Muslims there would drop like a stone. 1 Like |

Religion / Re: Why Are There No Igbo Muslims? by EvilBrain(m): 5:19pm On Apr 03, 2017 |
Islam spread through Africa primarily because of the slave trade. The main slave route in Nigeria was from the South West through Kano, then up to North Africa and the Middle East. Islam doesn't allow the enslavement of anybody whose religion has a magic book (ie Muslims, Christians and Jews). That meant that people who were being terrorized by slave traders had a strong incentive to convert and to teach their children to recite Muslim stuff to reduce their chances of being kidnapped. Since Ibo areas were outside the main slave route, they got raided less and therefore didn't have much incentive to convert to Islam. 1 Like |

Wilgrea7: Near death experiences are bullshît. A dying brain that is starved of blood and oxygen is going to malfunction and start seeing funny things. I don't know why anyone thinks this means anything. Also, people always see afterlife that matches their religion. Muslims see muslim heaven, Christians see Jesus, Hindus see Lord Shiva. If heaven was real, they would all see the same thing. Then there's the people that are just lying and making stuff up. There's an ongoing study where scientists hid secret messages in emergency rooms that can only be seen if you're floating near the ceiling. So far, none of the people who claimed to have NDEs have been able to describe it. NDEs are bullshît. |
Gaming / Re: Gaming Pc Vs PS4 Which Is Better by EvilBrain(m): 10:57am On Feb 22, 2017 |
You should definitely get a PC. Cheaper games, free online, free to play games, a far bigger library and the he fact that you can play them forever unlike the PS4 which will be abandoned in a few years when the PS5 comes out. You should get a desktop though. Gaming laptops are stupidly expensive. And this is probably the best possible time to build a desktop. AMD is about to crash the price of high end CPUs and motherboards. For the price of a gaming laptop, you can build a crazily powerful desktop. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Pic: Nigerian Prostitute Leads Protest For Sex Workers' Rights In Lagos by EvilBrain(m): 1:35am On Aug 05, 2014 |
Prostîtution should be legalized and regulated. Banning it just drives it underground and makes the women more vulnerable to exploitation, trafficking violence and even murder. Dis-empowering these women further is the exact opposite of what society should be doing. If you want to reduce prostîtution, you must first bring it out in the open. Besides there is really nothing wrong with selling sex as long as both parties are adults and know what they are doing. People do it all the time: sugar daddies/mummies, trophy wives, regular wives and girlfriends who demand money or gifts. It may offend some people's religious sensibilities, but that is not a reason to ban anything as Boko Haram is clearly showing us. The HIV and STD issue is easily solved by enforcing mandatory condom use. The real problem with prostîtution is the activities that tend to surround it like pîmping, street-walking, violence and human-trafficking. But all of these things are made worse by criminalizing prostîtution and can be better dealt with by strong regulations and allowing these women to call for help when in trouble and stand up to people who try to exploit them without fear of being arrested. The only reason prostîtution is still illegal is because people in government blindly follow religious doctrine and refuse to use their brains to pass sensible law that can make society better for everyone. 1 Like |

Nigerians need to decide what kind country we want to live in. Do we want a country ruled according to barbaric customs and superstitions from dark and ancient times? Or do we want to look towards a brighter future? We should take a long, hard look at Somalia, and Iraq and Sambisa forest. That is the future we're playing with if we don't get this religious nonsense out of our laws and out of our government. And Christians should not start feeling smug about this case. Your religion is just as prone to barbarism as Islam. The only reason Christianity seems less horrible is because people in the west have managed to strip priests of almost all their political power. When your MoGs were in charge, things were even worse than they are in the middle east. |

Maurice Iwu is a transparent fraudster and a liar. Anybody who knows anything about how viruses work or how drugs are developed can clearly see that that the man's claims to have found a cure are complete lies. A 5 second search on Google Scholar will show that there is not a single paper written by or citing Iwu about Ebola or any other virus despite the man having claimed to have found a cure since 1999. He's not even a real pharmacist, he forged his certificate and was disclaimed by Bradford University in the UK. Iwu is worse than that Phillip Emeagwali fraudster, at least that guy's lies didn't put lives at risk. This is the thing I hate the most about GEJ's government. Is it possible that nobody in the Jonathan's inner circle know that Iwu is a fraud? Do they just not care? Don't they realize that this outbreak is a serious business with the potential to kill thousands, useless politicians included? Can't they find people who aren't fraudsters and who actually know something about virology and public health to man their panel? Are they not afraid at all? Nigeria is finished!!! 6 Likes |

nora544: and always pastors from the new churches who feel that they are doctors. Its not just new churches, its churches in general. All of them do the same fake healing nonsense and they all promote superstition over common sense. The only difference is that old churches are already well established so they don't have to be as brazen as the smaller ones to attract people. Plus people tend not to judge older churches even when they do the exact same thing this pastor did. Practically all of the older churches sell either magic prayer books or anointing oil, or some other form of fetish object for their followers to buy and use. Event the catholic church does it. You can't be condemning the new churches for harming Nigeria when you're still an active member of one of the old churches who also harm Nigeria (and have been doing it for far longer). All forms of superstition, including religion are poisonous to every society. Lets face the truth. |
Religion / Re: ‘FG Should Apologize To boko Haram For Killingtheir Leader’ – Bakare by EvilBrain(m): 2:33am On Jul 30, 2014 |
Which kin stũpid apology? They should arrest the policemen who murdered him and charge them with capital murder. And that includes the senior officers who were involved, not just the junior scapegoats that they arraigned a few years ago. They should also demote and sack all the senior officers along the chain of command and officially censure the then Inspector-General of Police. Every policeman and soldier involved in the 2009 Maiduguri massacre should be made to answer for his/her crimes. The fact is that this Boko Haram problem started because of the police's bone-headed policy of extrajudicial killings and violent suppression of peaceful protests. Boko Haram started as a peaceful preaching and teaching group and they only became violent because the police kept killing their members. And the police has killed more innocent people than Boko Haram has even by their own count. People keep abusing Boko Haram, but they never bother to think abut the police's role in the violence. Even today, they're still doing it. Despite the thousands of people they've arrested, when was the last time you heard of any Boko Haram member being tried or sentenced? Amnesty International keeps on exposing the way they just round people up, keep them in dungeons for a few weeks then take them to one corner and shoot them. Do we really think everybody the police arrests is automatically guilty? Shouldn't each person be allowed to tell his side of the story before he is shot? Should we really be ignoring their constitutionally guaranteed freedom of association and be executing people for allegedly being members of a group instead of punishing them for the things they actually did? Other countries are seeing what our policemen and soldiers are doing, that is why they have all refused to help us despite Jonathan going round begging for assistance. Nobody wants to become an accomplice in a war crime. There can never be peace without justice. As long as the Nigerian government keeps using terror tactics, Boko Haram will always have reasons to fight. You need to have the moral high ground before you can claim to be fighting evil. And if we're to be honest, it is difficult to argue that the Nigerian authorities are better than the people they are fighting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maW-GQuKl60 |
Religion / Re: A Priest Claims Demon Is Sending Him Hate Texts After Girl's Exorcism Went Wrong by EvilBrain(m): 2:04am On Jul 30, 2014 |
The guy should carefully go through all those texts to see if the demon made any specific threats against his life. If it did, then he can show it to the police and get the demon arrested. Even if the demon didn't threaten him, excessive texting can be considered as harassment. I advice the priest to throw the book at this useless demon and drag it to court to teach it a lesson. Even the devil and his minions shouldn't be above the law! 2 Likes |
Religion / Re: Catholic Priest Could Be Jailed For Refusing To Break Seal Of Confession. by EvilBrain(m): 1:57am On Jul 30, 2014 |
Its only a catholic priest that can fail to know the correct thing to do when a child admits to being molested. The poor girl came to this guy with a cry for help thinking he would know what to do and the senseless priest didn't even see fit to inform her parents or the police because of some ridiculous middle age tradition. Even doctors (who have a much older and more credible confidentiality tradition) regularly risk their licenses to warn others when they feel that keeping a secret can seriously harm another or threaten public safety. But I guess its the girls fault for thinking that the world's largest international pédophile syndicate would ever act against one of its own. In any case I see no reason why the law should make exceptions for these peoples' (or anybody else's) religiously motivated crimes. If you you are aware that a minor is being molested and you either cover it up, or fail to report it to the authorities, you should be punished just like any other criminal. "Yahweh/Sango/Guru Maraji told me not to talk" is not a valid defense. |

Health / Re: US Widow Awarded $23.6bn Tobacco Payout by EvilBrain(m): 6:45pm On Jul 21, 2014 |
I don't understand why people are criticizing the size of the judgement. Tobacco companies have made a trillion dollar business out of enslaving people to their addictive cancer sticks. The whole point of punitive damages is to force the offending party to change its behavior by hitting it in the pocket. Anything smaller than this would make no difference to these companies since they make far more from their immoral business. You don't see people defending cocaine dealers when they get punished, but these big companies (who sell a product that's much more addictive) are somehow different? Drug dealers are even better since most of them avoid selling to kids while tobacco companies have been conclusively shown to deliberately target children and teens (e.g. the Joe Camel cartoon adverts). Since governments have refused to do the right thing and ban tobacco products outright, it is up to the victims to end the trade by making it too expensive for these companies and wiping out their illicit profits. I hope she enjoys her money. RIP to her husband and the millions of other victims. |
Religion / Re: Your View About Abortion... by EvilBrain(m): 1:03pm On Jul 12, 2014 |
The most basic of all freedoms is the control over your own body. Every woman has the right to choose whether she should have a baby or not. Your religion does not give you the right to dictate to others what they can do with their own bodies. If you really want to stop abortions, then fight for comprehensive sex education to be mandatory for all children before they reach puberty. Fight for freely available and affordable contraceptives without stigma so that women don't end up with unwanted pregnancies. The countries with the lowest rates of abortion all have legalized (and often even free) abortion. The reason is that they use their brains and attack the root cause of the problem instead of blindly following religious dogma that makes no sense. 7 Likes |

OP might have a point. Or maybe we should adopt strict sharia law just like al-Shahab controlled Somalia so that Allah can bless us and make us as prosperous as Finland. Or we could leave all these imported religions and instead dedicate 50% of next year's federal budget to organizing a huge national sacrifice to appease the gods and the ancestors. Or the whole nation can be come Guru Maraji followers and discover the secret to perfect living. No matter what we do sha, its clear that the solution is some kind of magic. Nairaland / General / Re: Muslim's World Population by EvilBrain(m): 5:02pm On Jul 09, 2014 |
These numbers are highly deceptive. The fact is that like many other religions, Muslims have been very dishonest in the way they report their numbers. For instance, they count new converts to Islam, but they totally ignore all those who leave Islam. It is estimated that 75% of new Muslim converts leave the religion within 3 years, and plenty of people who were born into it also leave but are never deducted from the total. There's also the fact that leaving Islam is punishable by death in most predominantly Muslim countries so plenty of people have to pretend to still be Muslims even when they don't believe. Then some of the figures are just straight up lies, like the 75% one about Nigeria for one. Nigerian Muslims always ignore the significant number of Christians and other non-muslims in the north, people who are Muslim only in name, as well as the fact that Christianity and Islam are not the only 2 religions in Nigeria. Islam maintains its numbers mainly by indoctrinating children, and using the power of government to repress free thought and enforce conformity among the people. The numbers of adult converts is negligible and more than balanced by those who leave. Its not even clear that Islam is growing at all, not to talk of it being the fastest growing religion in the world as the often claim. All the evidence I've seen for this claim is either circular or just someone's opinion being repeated as fact. In all likelihood Islam is shrinking just like Christianity, Buddhism and virtually all other major religions. Improved personal security, increased knowledge, and recently, the internet have made it far more difficult to convince young people of their bullshît or to prevent believers from seeing contrary evidence like in the olden days. It will all become very clear over the next few decades. 1 Like |
