My husband details his car once a week , mine once a month... Mine takes much longer time than his.

Car/booster seats habor chunk of dirts (cookies,wraps, chips), and wreck leather seats. Gosh . So why would they install them permanently in their cars??
Men are exclusively picky and neat with their processions/toys . Lording them over it is looking for trouble. hubby puts his in his trunk and affix them only when needed. ( I don't like that truck anyway so who cares and I'm starting to think he bought it for a reason).

OP tell your friend to buy his own set and put them in his trunk or keep them in the garage and fasten them when needed. Simple.
