buhari is a fúcking hypocrite what do want him to do? he sold off a Jet and donated a chopper to Airforce, do you want him to fly about in hired jets so that Nigeria can go bankrupt with the hiring fees, or do you want him to fly cormercial so that evans the kidnapper can kidnap him and cause another civil war |

Agboriotejoye: Let's not forget what we're talking about here: Is the chief of staff same rank as a special adviser in the presidency and more particularly, can the CoS in this Buhari admin, make life difficult for Femi Adesina and ultimately end his job there?
For the first question, here is what is written on the state house website: "The Office of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is overseen by the Chief of Staff to the President. The current occupant of that position is Alhaji Abba Kyari, appointed August 27, 2015. The Chief of Staff manages the President’s schedule and correspondence, and any other duties that may be assigned by the President. The Office of the President comprises staff who perform the following functions: Administrative Duties, Protocol, Security and Media". https://statehouse.gov.ng/presidency/office-of-the-president
It is easy to see from here that the media fall under the office of the president ant thus is overseen and managed by the chief of staff. As a matter of fact, here is the responsibilities of the chief of staff: You can see that the first one there is coordinating the activities of the prinicipal staff officers of the president. So I guess you can agree without question that the special adviser is subordinate to the chief of staff in the presidency.
To the second question, i'm sure you'll agree that in this ethno-religious colorated govt of Buhari, a Fulani muslim holding such high office will be of more influence and power than a mere Yoruba town crier who only speaks in defence of whatever the presidency does no matter how much it is against his own principles. Therefore, given that the first question has shown the superiority of the chief of staff and the type of admin we have presently, you should be able to see that Gambari can end Adesina's job if he wishes to. A good example is the former HoS Oyo-Ita who was suspended indefinitely pending the completion of her case with EFCC for making the "mistake" of confronting the ex-CoS Abba Kyari. Another will be the case of the former FIRS chairman Fowler. first let me debunk your claim on Presidency appointing anyone into government without SGF https://dailynigerian.com/osinbajo-lobbies-buhari-as-sgf-delivers-sack-letters-of-35-aides/ only SGF can sign appoint ment or sack of any political appointtees and hold same power to sign hiring contract unbehalf of the Government of Nigeria, a statury power Chief of Staff clearly doesnt have only and i repeat only the Presidents internal memo duly signed by Buhari can authourize the Office of the SGF to initiate the sack of Femi Adesina and any other Senior Special Adviser .. if you are talking about mere assistant to the president people like Garba Shehu yes the Office of the Chief of Staff has some bit of oversight over them, and can indeed block them from seeing Buhari, however all Senior Special adviser have access to the President anytime upon request and as for office management role assumed by a chief of staff, in companies secetary and administrative officers also run office doesnt mean they have any power to hire and fire without recourse to the Director in charge or other board members Femi Adesina already denied knowledge of his appointment showing he give no damn about gambari, he still went on to ignore him, and refuse to congratulate him even after assistant like Garba Shehu made the annoucement . |

Agboriotejoye: Wrong!! I wasn't talking about Saraki's case with EFCC. Oyo-Ita is not retired. She was sacked and has a case with EFCC over some estacodes when she was a perm sec in one of the ministries. Seems you missed that bit of news.
That aside, i'm sure you agree, that, all the aforementioned had issues with the CoS and lost out including the first lady. Even Adesina alluded to the CoS's powers in the article he wrote for him. I already referred you to the link you pasted and more importantly now, since you claim that is in the US, I refer you to Buhari telling his ministers to report to Abba Kyari, the CoS. I'm sure no minister reports to Femi Adesina and of course ministers are of higher rank than special advisers or assistants. Even the service chiefs took orders from him as wailed by the NSA in his letters.
You may say the powers are given to that office by Buhari and you will be correct but i'm sure you'll also agree that Gambari is also coming to work in that same environment which seems to heavily favour his office. From all indications, Buhari does not look ready to change that configuration. Gambari is highly educated like Kyari which suggests that Buhari looks to compliment his mental deficiencies with that of the occupier of that office whose other attributes must be loyalty without equivocation and, seeing how Gambari performed fantastically with an Abacha, he seems to be a very loyal dog. i'll google the estacode probe of for head of service, well I agree with you in parts, Buhari is a smart dude who use the brainy guys to achieve his goal while using their loyalty to keep them silent and he forms saint, he did this with his Military ADC in the 80s Major Mustapha Jokolo did a lot of dirty work which he was blamed for unknown he was only carrying out orders, same way Tunde Idiagbon was the brain behind the anti corruption success of the the 80s, he was a bright student before joining army and after joining army he aced all his exams, he neither womanise like buhari or drink like the likes of abacha, buhari insisted on him to be the 2ic even when he was a junior rank to IBB the army Chief of Staff, every effort of anti corruption idiagbon achieved got attributed to buhari while or negatives stick to idiagbon (same thing they tried with osinbajo), so what am saying is, Abba kyari was not calling the shots, he never called any shots nor was he powerful he strictly acted on orders of buhari and Buhari's nephew Mahman and his money guy Isa funtua(just has adenuga was ibb's money guy).. Thinking a Chief od Staff holds a super power is just an illusion used to protect the President's imag . |

Peterobi90: You are wrong...
How do you reverse what someone never said?.
Someone out of the blues under any profile and could be anybody claimed to acquire guns, he assumed the person is Igbo claiming to get the youth forum involved for information from someone you dont know his identity to checkmate innocent people, just because of deep personal reservation of hate he may have for that tribe..
His statement was filled with Generalization for a profile that could be anyone from anywhere.
That is totally wrong. I really am not too concerned about what the first comment is pained about, I have seen countless bias from the mods too, what I barely pointed out is the guy calling some one tribalistic went further to generalize and claim how else would northerners react rather than violence , mayhem and other things he said I am not an Ibo or a northerner but if after I changed kano and kaduna to Enugu, and also made the tribalistic stereotype against Ibo and he feels the same way about his own comment then I accept he isn't an hypocrite |

Agboriotejoye: Okay sir. But you pasted the link yourself which suggests you endorse what it contains. I will assume you know more about the Nigerian presidency and its intricacies than I do. However note that three out of the five people you mentioned are at home jobless. One is having a day with EFCC on some long forgotten matters that suddenly popped up. Of the other two, the female has been screeching from an angle of pain from the inception of this govt while the male's matter can be considered inconclusive due to circumstances beyond abba's control. I'm sure you'll also agree Femi will qualify as a small fry when compared to all those individuals in the larger scheme of power. Let's hope then that Buhari resets the power he gives to the new CoS for the sake of Femi. Ibe Kachuckwu is back in the Oil and Gas industry where he had being earning more money even before Buhari came to power, Former Head of Service retired and has fat pension and gratuity to enjoy, Aisha is the First Lady, Saraki's corruption case was started by Jonathan Administration, and has nothing to do with Kyari I still stand on my point my brother, C of Staff cant order any Aide around and he is just a senior aide just like Adesina, he has no control over Adesina or any other political appointees has all political appointees got appointed after receiving their appointment contracts from the office of the, SGF, infact the trash he was trying with the Aso Rock Permanent Secetary , director and deputy director is a total abuse of office, they just tolerated him because he is a very close associate and friend of Buhari.. just as Mamman Daura and his family also ride everyone like donkey in the villa |

There is no where it is written that Abraham gave tithes before or after that out of his own property
Since you introduce Moses can you tell us the circumstances that he gave tithes?
Moses commanded in Deuteronomy that tithes be given of AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS. Not from any and all income

Until we start fighting back as one then they will take us seriously Democracy is kind of new to us, for tens of thousands of years ago our ancestors use the Monarchy System where if you complain to a king, he has the right to remove your head, and the colonial masters that partly abolished monarchy also made it clear that all powers belong to her majesty the queen or his majesty the king of England, and they demonstrated their power by unleashing terror on our most revered kings, then came the Brutal Military dictators of 70s 80s and 90s.. before we can have our voice and collective power to criticize government like the americans, it would slowly take a while of constant democracy |

Agboriotejoye: Lol. Fact indeed. So someone you take orders from is not your boss. I guess the only orders you receive from your boss in your office are only in written format no verbal ones. You really think Buhari signs all the orders that come from the "presidency". All that is by the way. All staff in the presidency take orders from the CoS a la Buhari or not. Get ingratiated into political circles to know better.
Here's an excerpt from your link. I suggest you go through that link well. oh please stop comparing White House Chief of Staff to Chief of Staff to Nigerian President.. if my boss sent a sack letter or query letter to me through his secretary am I to blame the secretary? whose signature was on it? Did Dr Ibe Kachukwu, former Head of Service Etta ennag, Aisha Buhari, National Secuirity Adviser Mogunu take any nonsense from Chief of Staff Abba Kyari? hell no, they know he lacks such power, even Saraki as a Senate President insisted letter communicating Buhari's medical vacation must contain buhari's signature or it doesn't stand yes Buhari is changing the rules, but CoS in Nigerian settings can order any of Presidential Advisers, Aides or Minister he can only relate what the president says |

Besides, being poor while growing up does not imply being poor at that particular stage of his life when his father had already become a councillor. Or is a councillor in those times a poor man? Read between the lines bro a son of a politician could visit NTA and get asked to go for an audition based on his fathers goodwill and his voice, but that doesn't mean jobs where everywhere... yes unemployment rate wasn't as crazy as it is today, but I still remember many peoples main reason of running out of the country in the late 80s and 90s still remained poverty and unemployment especially after Babangida's SAP and I agree with you.. his father might be a rich councilor, he could as well be a poor one, only Ameachi can tell, and since all politicians lie maybe people who know him |

The truth is lockdown did not work, will not work and can not work in Nigeria because we have neither the resources nor the structure to sustain it! Simple!! I like what you said it would not work.. yes perhaps not now, but if we planned ahead as I suggested then I see no reason why we cant sustain a lock down like what happened in Wuhan and I even started my write up with this each country needs to have a full policy document and piece of legislation on disaster management, this fire brigade approach is very stupid... we should set up a special fund in case things like this happens which is suggestive that if we plan it might work |

Agboriotejoye: English Studies and Literature combine honours. Not that it makes any difference in terms of being employable though.
Where did he mention being poor? Did you not read the part of the NTA interview and how he already joined politics before his employment letter reached him?
Like I said, read between the lines. At least he could have taken up the employment when it came or which political post was he already occupying in 1987 when we had a military govt in place?
I didn’t join politics because I wanted to be a leader or because I wanted to solve Nigeria’s problems. I joined because of unemployment. I also believe there is a part that grace played in it. I actually got auditioned at the Nigeria Television Authority to be a broadcaster. I recall that I walked into their office then and said I wanted to see a certain person. But the person I met asked me if I had been auditioned because I had a wonderful voice. I told him I hadn’t and he asked for me to be auditioned. However, before the employment letter came,
if I am to comprehend this part clearly, he went to visit someone at NTA and someone loved his voice and asked him to audition which he did, but he had joined politics before any employment letter or employment came.. simply put he was jobless when he joined politics with only prospects of NTA job may or may not come There was no silver spoon. I didn’t even know there was anything like that. One would then have to sleep on the ‘passage’ because it was a tenement building of about 12 rooms. If one was unlucky to have slept off by 2am, that was when my father would come out with a cane and flog this part of the passage suggest they were prolly poor, besides he had always said it in different interviews that they were so poor he had to go peep at TV from there next door neighbors |

omonnakoda: Why this Abraham account is faulty
Tithe is 10% of AGRICULTURAL products. What Abraham gave was not AGRICULTURAL products Not Abraham's property
Some bandits came and looted the property of his Nephew. Abraham took up arms and recovered the property. He gave 10 % to Mechilzedek but he DID NOT KEEP A PIN OF THE REST FOR HIMSELF. Why not follow that practice too.?
There is no account anywhere of Abraham giving his OWN PROPERTY as tithes
Mechilzedek was a priest and A KING. The share he took cannot be claimed to be tithe but a share of the spoils of war Did he receive because he was a king or a priest? This was a common practice in the region just like owo omo onile ,money claimed by force
There is no where it is stated that Abraham did this because he was commanded to do this or that any of his sons did it after he died. So if there was no command it is being assumed that it is necessary because Abraham did it
BUT
There are many OTHER things Abraham did He married 3 wives Circumcised his children Sacrificed animals to Jehovah
Why not follow this too? in relating what you said to this thread... Abraham (a prophet of God, and Father of faith, and prophet of 3 most common religion we have today) gave in your own words 10 percent (one tenth or tithe) of looted and recovered properties to a Priest whether Royal or not in celebration of victory God gave him.. Mosses (a major prophet of God, and second mortal to catch a glimpse of god and speak to him) gave his ten percent to the "house of God" so if the O.P wants to stop giving tithe because he feels Jesus sacrifice is enough to end ways of the old testament, then its his choice, but if he has to give tithe he had better do so as the true prophet of God did . |

Nigeria jaga jaga that's why Presidential aides easily usurp the duties of public servants and no one gets worried. both Gambari and Adesina are both on same level take it or leave it, both are senior aides to the president and according to RMAFC they earn same pay , same package, non seniors the other, due to bureaucratic nature and lack of orderliness in Buhari's administration is why anybody would even think Chief of Staff holds special power outside organization of documents for the President and maintaining his schedules as authorized by him, and releasing internal memo signed by the president upon his order each state has Chief of Staff, same with all ministers, Legislature and previous President like Jonathan and Obasanjo and never has one of their Chief of Staff assumed any power, they simply follow orders except Mr Kyari buhari's friend of 45 years |
