Realtalk20:

Well these structures look dilapidated and worn-out due to poor maintenance.
No millionaire will ever come here talkless of a billionaire although except if that millionaire is a criminal thug like MC- oluomo..
You can't work hard for you money and come and stay in such a slum.
Listen Lagos State is one over hyped ghetto , very dirty , poor facilities, zero drainage, expensive for the sake of it.
That state is a cesspool of diseases and crime .
You want to see where billionaires and millionaires hangout ? Learn to travel
Gasaka gumoti park in Taraba! Ever heard of it? No you won't because you are a commoner it's the only park with three different weather zones in west Africa .. do your findings, part of it is owned by the United kingdom and they have lodgings in the middle of the tropical rain forest there ... I bet you think that's a typo.. tropical rain forest in the north? You don't know anything
Billionaires go to ball there or tinapa or Seplat resort or Obudu or private resorts in cross river hidden away from nonsense Lagos traffic , bloggers , beggars or the Abuja surveillance.. they go to hide !!
Your tinubu only kept his house in Lagos as his heritage but he is more in Abuja
Everyone is tired of Lagos ... Lagos has lost its glory give up already and stop disturbing this forum with daily pictures of 'Surulere in Lagos in pictures'
"Mariko in Lagos in pictures' it's so pathetic and shameful that you are resorting to that and all these local marketing . Seems since they opened BUA ports trully people started moving their business else where ?
Look already Eko Atlantic is a failed project cause partner started pulling funds , Covid 19 changed the global business plan , companies downsizing and downscaling.. spending less to achieve more
Lagos is dying ...
Other states especially the northerners know and are fast developing and marketing the north
Foreign country investors don't want to come and set up where there is so much traffic and crime ..no
They know all the bad press other states get in the media was all propaganda and the north allowed it cause they didn't have infrastructure and an investment plan. But the Saudi emirate has given then a plan to turn North to the next Dubai in Africa
Lagos will just be a a gigantic park and warehouse eventually Yeah right. The North, with all the terrorist attacks by Boko Haram and Buhari's armed Fulani militants. |

Also in the new Nigeria we don't wind down and throw thrash out of our car windows.Baby steps my dear and one day it will happen. We have agreement on this. It's an uphill task though, especially since we are talking about a society where insincerity is the norm. |

Kay25: Alakija who happens to be the richest black woman is a christian got hers from investing in oil business.the chairperson of first bank Mrs ibukun awosika is a billionaire she started out with her firm producing plastic chairs and she is a christian that you can verge for and know that is pure money made out of business.I can tell you one of executive directors in Procterand gamble he is a billionaire and even a pastor while in Nigeria with christ life church.jumoke adenowo might not say she is one but on the toplist of forbes as an entrepreneur doing great she is an architect and has made major designs and international recognised one..quite a number who won't shout or make the noise yet they are rich through diligence hardwork, perseverance and ideas that makes the difference. You obviously don't know what you are talking about. You cannot even live your every day life in Nigeria without cutting corners. You definitely cannot get involved in big business in Nigeria without cutting corners. You should read up on how Mrs Alakija got an oil block from Babangida, and suddenly jumped from being Mrs Mariam Babangida's hair dresser or fashion designer to oil tycoon. I'm surprised you also didn't mention T. Y. Danjuma, also a Christian, and how he also suddenly got rich from allocation of oil Block. You think you can get oil block allocated to you in Nigeria without cutting corners ? Maybe you don't understand what the argument is all about. Mrs Awosika is a real and genuine business lady. I have respect for productive people like her. However, like just about every business person in Nigeria, I expect that she would be cutting corners in order to get along in business. You don't expect her to come in public and be telling how they get things done by money changing hands here and there. It's near impossible to operate in Nigeria and not cut corners, unless you don't understand what it means to cut corners. |

kushe: I can see you came prepared for this thread. Are you a genuine Christian? If you are,by your own theory it is impossible for you to become a billionaire except you live abroad which makes it even worse. In the developed world, a genuine Christian can become a billionaire, of course. One very useful invention can make you a billionaire without having to cut corners. Many examples abound. Not so in Nigeria, a huge criminal enterprise. In fact, my observation is that you cannot really go about your daily activities in Nigeria without cutting corners. It's just not possible. Corruption is basically a way of life in Nigeria. Visit a government office, money must change hands. I read on this forum, how an employed lady proudly announced that she is dropping her unemployed boyfriend because the boyfriend failed to give her money for her birthday. Anything you do in Nigeria, money must change hands. Yet some of you believe that someone can become a billionaire in Nigeria without cutting corners. Yeah right. Just to drive around, you have to give bribe here and there. Just that you may not regard what you are doing as bribe in order not to feel bad. A typical Nigerian likes to live in denial. We have a very hypocritical and insincere society. You guys can continue deceiving yourselves and living in denial. As to your question about whether I am a genuine Christian and if I believe it is impossible for me to become a billionaire then. Of course I am a genuine Christian, obviously a pragmatist, definitely not a hypocrite and never in denial (unlike you). Unlike you, I'm not too naive to believe I can become wealthy in Nigeria without cutting corners. So I don't limit my horizon to the criminal enterprise we call a country. |

ThothHermes: This is a big lie. There are principles guiding wealth and prosperity from the Bible. There is an exactitude to genuine wealth with terms attached. In fact, one of terms is that you do away with financial misconduct of any kind. Job 22: 23-24
Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Chris, Pastor Ibiyeomie and others know and practice these principles that's why they are so rich. There's a covenant of wealth for interested believers. Deuteronomy 8:18. If you "do away with financial misconduct of any kind", you obviously cannot become wealthy in Nigeria. Nigeria is a criminal enterprise. It will be interesting to know how much tax the above billionaires you mentioned are paying every year. |

What did Jacob do to deserve favor, nothing. GOD just picked him, called him aside like HE did his Dad, Abraham and told Him he will favor him die.
Just follow me, be on my side. And he did, he didn't even do it perfectly, but the main thing was that his trust was always in GOD. We talking about Christians. |

kushe: WRONG. An enterprising mind will thrive even in the Sahara. Pls don't give up and start making defeatist unsubstantiated commentary like you currently are.Nigeria is corrupt, yet has a lot of righteous people who genuinely have a heart for God. Singapore and China were once written off but look at them today. When Nigeria's turn comes, entrepreneurs will become billionaires whether Christian ,Muslim or aborishas. Of course there are a lot of people getting wealthy in Nigeria. These are mostly people who understand what Nigeria is and what it is not. They are definitely not genuine Christians. They are the wheelers and dealers. Mostly crooked and ruthless and ready to do anything to get the money. They are the people that run Nigeria. They understand that Nigeria is a criminal enterprise. If you are one of those who see Nigeria as a normal society where hardwork and being upright pays, then you are naive and will have a hard time making it in Nigeria. |

kushe: There are two extremes in Christianity about wealth, the evangelicals who go on and on about prosperity and the conservatives who equate holiness to poverty and extreme modesty. The right thing however is balance following the instruction to seek first God's kingdom in sincerity of purpose and not because you hope to get something. Being a billionaire is usually borne out of creating value, monetizing the value created and being able to scale it several times. So anybody can be a billionaire including a Christian, but a Christian with no value to give the world can never become a billionaire but he can remain a dreamer. Those nice Christian principles you listed up there will serve one well in a normal society, but not in a criminal enterprise like Nigeria. When I think about the billionaires we have in Nigeria, I don't know of any of them I can associate with those Christian principles. T. Y. Danjuma told us about how he suddenly became a billionaire by being awarded an oil Block. Same situation with Mrs Alakija. I wonder what values these lucky Nigerian looters created to make them billionaires. Same story with the likes of Emeka Offor, Andy Ubah and many others. |
