Well I didn't watch the program live. So I took your advice and made Google my friend. I watched the very revealing program.
From the information I got, it doesn't look like the diplomatic passport will help Diezani avoid prosecution and jail in Nigeria or the UK. If the Nigerian government is serious, they can still have her extradited to Nigeria and prosecuted. She can also be prosecuted by the UK if she committed crime there. I understand (by watching the program) that with diplomatic passport, you have criminal immunity ONLY in the country to which you are appointed. I don't think the Dominica appointed her Trade Commissioner to Nigeria, or the UK.
In the same program, I learnt about the case of the Iranian businessman Ali Reza Monfared. He was helping Iran to ship crude to China bypassing US sanctions. But he was pocketing some of the proceeds. To avoid prosecution by Iran, he bought the post of Ambassador of Dominica to one of the Asian countries (Malaysia?) where he was based. He did not know that his immunity from arrest was restricted to the country where he was posted. He traveled out and was arrested by Iran. He was convicted and is serving his 20 year sentence right now. There are other examples there, one is a US citizen and internet fraudster. He is also in prison in the US despite being appointed Ambassador by Dominican Prime Minister.
So your EFCC need to provide another reason why Diezani is not in prison right. It has nothing to do with diplomatic passport. It's a big fat lie.
I also urge you to make Google your friend. We all should in order to be better informed.
In any case, it's not like these countries are freely handing out these diplomatic passports indiscriminately. They actually don't want to be seen as corrupt. And they usually revoke the diplomatic status when one is convicted. If the EFCC prosecutes Diezani and convicts her , the Dominica will quickly revoke her appointment.

With the way the average Nigerian votes, I doubt if your hope for a better Nigeria will be realized. I see disintegration in Nigeria's future. That might be the best option for Nigeria as the present set up is dysfunctional.

Those girls who you say are taught values and probity are the ones doing runs in our universities and luring other girls into ashawo abroad.

They are the same women who take petty bribes from the politicians to either stay home or vote for useless cretins who squander public funds.

They make up the majority of the foolish congregations that keep enriching the numerous pastors who spew forth nonsense every Sunday and take a sizable chunk of money from communities throughout this country. They also drag their own children to these houses of religious fraud so that they might also be inoculated against reason.

They are the ones who are the first teachers of all the crooks and imbeciles who have bespoiled this country. How do you then conclude that they are responsible?
There is rot in the country generally. However, the average Nigerian woman is more responsible than the average Nigerian man. If you look around you, you will see many signs posted by businesses looking for sales girls. You will hardly see ones looking for sales boys. I wonder why.
The girls that are sleeping around are being enticed with money by men.
We constantly read about the sexual harassments of the female students in the Universities by mostly married male lecturers. We rarely read about that of female lecturers against male students. Happens but rare.

Stop watching NTA buddy...

Google is your friend by checking the immunity with diplomatic passports...

Ordinary ambassador passport cost less than $400k at the Caribbean...

Mrs Ojuyobo bought a house worth $2m to secure the Dominican republic diplomatic passports.
Me watch NTAhuh FG propaganda network. Diezani might have bought diplomatic passport alright. That is not the reason she is not facing trial in Nigeria (or the UK).
Reason she is still a free person is the incompetence of the EFCC and corruption within the agency.
When someone with diplomatic immunity commits a crime that needs to be prosecuted, there is a process that is followed to set aside that immunity. Has Nigeria followed that process? Have they even applied for extradition? Diezani has two partners in crime: Jide Omokore and Kola Aluko. Jide Omokore was charged. Nothing has been heard of his case for a long time now. Someone said he now lives in Mexico. Kola Aluko has not been charged. Do Omokore and Aluko also have diplomatic passport? Why are they not in prison?

Of course I am very alright. That is why I want Diezani to come back home and have her day in court.
For your information, I am not a supporter of the criminal and tribal bigot Buhari or the criminal enterprise called APC. Buhari and his band of criminals in the APC have taken Nigeria backward. I doubt if Nigeria can recover from the damage.
Having said that, those former officials that are accused of stealing should have their day in court.

She offeredhuh Wow! Does she have to offer? All these times Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala have been visiting Nigeria, she was not offering to come before embarking on her trip. She even visits to celebrate her birthday in Nigeria.
Diezani should just come to Nigeria and answer the charges against her. She should stop running from justice.

But I thought women weren't corrupt. wink

Where are all those women talking nonsense about how the world would be better if everything was managed by women?
Men are obviously more corrupt. Nigeria will definitely be a better place if our women are in charge. In a typical Nigerian home, the girl child is generally given proper training in how to take care of herself and the family. She learns how to sit properly, how to dress appropriately, how to cook, also learns proper personal hygiene. The boy child is left to roam the house and neighborhood, learning nothing useful.
The girl develops into a more responsible woman able to take care of herself and family while the boy develops into a mostly irresponsible man with little useful life skills. A lot of Nigerian men cannot even boil water to make tea.
These are the folks that are saddled with the responsibility of running the country. How can someone that cannot take care of himself be able to take care of a country? That is why Nigeria is messed up. We need to bring in more women into government.

Reallyhuh? How can she be asking to be extradited? She can just board a flight and come back home and report to the EFCC. Fayose turned himself in to the EFCC (and of course the political clowns could not do anything because the charges against him were political). Diezani is running from justice.

EFCC is just trying to give silly excuses and reasons for it's ineptitude. Allison has conspirators. Jide and Aluko. They've had cases here in Nigeria that has gone no where in the courts. Do those ones have diplomatic passports too? Her family must have benefited from the vile and desperate pilfering of the public purse she engaged in. Bank records will easily show that. Has EFCC gone after them? Yet when it comes to ordinary Yahoo boys we see EFCC showing strength.

Allison will not be touched. In exchange for peace in the Niger Delta, the present APC government is looking over a lot of misdeeds in the previous administration.
Exactly.

Citizenship in all those Caribbean island countries is not a matter of birth or naturalisation. It is a matter of cash. Dominica, St Kitts, Antigua, just pay the cash and bang, you have a passport on your hands.

In St. Kitts, all you have to do is pay or 'invest' something in the region of $250k and you are as good as being a citizen. Matter of fact the two Russian brothers behind Telegram bought St Kitt's citizenship that way. They simply invested a couple of millions each into St Kitt's sugar industry and that was it. Got their passports.

But this diplomatic passport for 'change' sh!t is getting messier. And I have heard a whole lot about that Skerrit guy. Not so savoury, I must say. Dude's gangster.
The developed countries, including the US, also offer route to citizenship through investment. It's not unique to the small Caribbean countries.

If true, this is a serious and criminal abuse of diplomatic immunity privilege. Nigeria should petition the UN and the UK.
Diezani needs to come back home to answer for her deeds. I'm yet to come across any Nigerian that is patriotic.

U wear boxer 2 days straight yet u open mouth to say girls smell. They hardly groom.their body.

The average naija body is a breeding ground because of the humidity. When we do clean up, we use only soap and water. Sometimes only water. Is that one clean up?

Germs breed mostly in the kitchen and bathroom. And on the body, ur boxers, bushy private parts etc.

Guy, meet a dermatologist. A simple culture will show what's wrong with u and adequate treatment administered.
The OP is a female. But I agree with you on the poor attitude of the Nigerian guys to cleanliness, especially young, less educated men. Too many stinking guys out there. Taking public transport is a challenge, especially in Lagos.
