Romance / Nigerian Women Are The Most Unfaithful In The World - DUREX Reveals by exlinkleads(f): 4:27am On Jan 22, 2019
Facts don't lie. Without the intention of wrecking marriages or relationships, if you are a man and you have a wife or you are in a serious relationship, then it is very paramount you read this article.

And here’s why…

According to a recent study by condom manufacturer Durex; 29,000 people in 36 countries were interviewed on their likelihood to cheat of their partners, Nigerian Women were considered to be the most unfaithful in the world! As a Nigerian, you might dismiss this survey as untrue on religious and cultural basis; however, Durex may not be far from the truth actually.

To tell the truth, the unfortunate day I discovered that my wife was cheating, I wasn’t prepared for it. In fact, I had not suspected her once since we got married five years ago. I mean I TRIED to satisfy her as a man the best way I can, the sex wasn’t bad (at least not to me…I ASSUMED); although I was battling with some SEXUAL ISSUES, however, she always told me that there was no problem that she loves me regardless of my sexual weaknesses. She promised me that we were going to find a solution to it together.

I am an author and a successful one at that. The day my entire world crumbled before my eyes was the day I came back home 5 hours earlier than normal because I forgot a very important office document. To my dismay and utter betrayal, I saw my beloved and ‘faithful’ wife being banged and spread wide from side to side by another man who seemed to be in total control of the game. My wife was screaming, moaning, and enjoying herself in ways I had never seen her before.

Suddenly, warm tears involuntarily started to drop down my cheek because she was not just the mother of my little children, but she was also my lover and best friend (at least that was what I thought). They were totally into each other, very unaware of my presence in the room. I sat by the corner of the room almost losing my breath like an asthmatic patient. My first impulse was to pick a knife off the kitchen cabinet. I almost did. If I had done that, chances were that I would have committed murder that day and my entire family and bright career would have been brought to shambles.

I decided to kill that thought of murder, and at least see the face of the person who is rough handling my wife. Then I saw his face, it wasn’t my boss, or neighbour, or best friend. It was hers. The guy who had always been there. They were very close friends before I met her. They were still friends even while we dated. When we were getting married, she asked me to make him one of my groomsmen.

They had been friends ever since. At first I was uncomfortable with how close they were. However, she told me he was like a brother to her. Then he got a girlfriend, who he eventually married and I never saw him in that light again – a threat. Until that unfortunate moment of course, when stark reality stared me in the face like a one-eyed monster…

ALL BECAUSE I HAD A SEXUAL PROBLEM AND DIDN’T FIX IT IN TIME; AND SHE ALWAYS TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY TOO MUCH THAT SHE UNDERSTANDS.

It was at that moment that the eternal words from my grandmother resounded in my head: Alatise lo moatisearare (meaning, it is only you who can fix your own problems not someone else).

Here are eight (cool STAGGERING STATISTICS about how negligence of YOUR sexual activeness can destroy your home, happiness, and life.

1. 39% of Nigerian women are currently cheating on their husbands due to lack of attention and of course the INABILITY of the MAN to perform is MATRIMONIAL DUTIES.

2. 24% of Nigerian women are tending towards depression and extra-marital affairs due to SEXUAL STARVATION or BAD SEX LIFE. There is a 65% chance that they will cheat on their husbands in a matter of weeks.

3. 77% of Nigerian men actually believe that they are great in bed…A Sex god! Very funny. However, studies show that only about 21% are actually good at knocking the hell out of their partner’s P*SS*Y; the remaining 56% are living in delusion because when they bang their wives, they hear her moan.

4. 55% of women moan not because they are enjoying the sex, but because they don’t want to bruise the ego of their partner. So they just keep deceiving the men.

If a court judge sentences a person to death and the noose man carries it out on the basis of the guilt of that convict , it is not murder, it is called JUSTICE !!

Besides what does this have to do with the article ?

Christians and circular arguments.

Jesus said ;
"Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one " - Matthew 5:37

"Christian and circular argument" - hate to say it, u r very right.

One will soon ague that even if the hangman that carried out the death sentence was mandated by the judge and the law of the land, does it now mean in the eyes of the Lord, its not murder?

Religion / Why Do Christians Condemn Polygamy When The Bible Clearly Allows It? by exlinkleads(f): 9:56am On Jan 20, 2019
The undeniable fact is, Bible is vague and contradictory. This question has been bugging me for a long time and on like so many people that goes with what their various "daddy GO" told them, I'm not one of them. When I read the Bible, the logical interpretation is glaring to everyone but yet people tend to see other things from the interpretation rather than what it actually conveys.

The question is; why do Christians claim biblical marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman when the Bible clearly allows 1 man to many woman (polygamy)?

The truth is, whether you choose to believe otherwise because of sentiments and what you personally call morality, the fact still remains that everyone can interpret the Bible the way he or she understands. Please don't claim your interpretation is best. To be candid, the advantage of such a massively contradictory, and vague and often metaphorical book as the bible, is that you can interpret it many different ways.

The fact that there are, depending on who's counting, 10-50,000+ different sections of Christianity, all of which have at least slightly different interpretations, is empirical proof, that the bible is not a perfect communication from God. Any human can write a more clear communication, why would the God of Truth encourage division with such a contradictory, vague book as the bible? Reason why I didn't offer CRS when I was in Secondary school.

To answer the question in my own idea, (you can answer in your own way via the comment box below) the typical Christian way of dealing with this argument, is that God's created ideal, was monogamy... underwritten by the Adam and Eve story, and backed up with a couple verses in the New Testament, and that he allowed things like divorce and polygamy to allow for human weakness or something. Kind of like why he allowed slavery.

Because the all-powerful God who bothered to outlaw shellfish and mixing fabrics, couldn't be bothered to confront an evil in the culture of the day, and instead allowed it and regulated it. One wonders why they are bothered to confront what they see as an evil in our culture (LGBT), when God couldn't be bothered to confront owning, beating, and raping slaves, and instead explicitly allowed and regulated it.

Funny how when they talk about objective morality, they claim morality is grounded in God's character. What logically follows, is the highest ideal for humans to strive for, is to behave as God does. God allowed owning, beating, and raping slaves.

What does God do when he see's a child being raped? What does God do when he sees a child starving to death? When he sees parasites boring into their eyes? - Nothing. Obviously. If your morality comes from copying God's character, you cannot then justify stopping suffering. You SHOULD BE campaigning against modern medical science, vaccinations, etc.

You should be in favor of allowing suffering, rather than making things better... rather like Mother Theresa was. Mother Teresa and the fatal love of suffering. Anyway, it's all entirely irrelevant, because of the separation of church and state, what the bible says about marriage has nothing to do with what the laws should be regarding marriage, because that would be a clear example of the state establishing a religion.

If you can't make an argument in a way that doesn't require your religion, aka a secular argument, then it doesn't apply to politics. It only applies to your religion. Otherwise you are forcing your religion on others, which is a violation of religious freedom.

One would wonder then, why do people give credence to the morality and the supposedly way of marriage being peddled by the vague Bible.

The gospel truth is this: Polygamy or Polygyny (1 man to many woman) is explicitly not forbidden in the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Torah includes a few specific regulations on the practice of polygyny, such as:

Exodus 21:10 "If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, or her marital rights".

Deut 21:15–17 states that a man must award the inheritance due to a first-born son to the son who was actually born first, even if he hates that son's mother and likes another wife more.

Deut 17:17 states that the king shall not have many wives. The king's behavior is condemned by the prophet Samuel in 1 Samuel 1:8. Over 40 important figures had more than one wife, such as Esau - [Genesis 26:34] [28:6–9], Elkanah - [1 Samuel 1:1–8], and Solomon [1 Kings 11:1–3]. Moses had three wives; Zipporah [Exodus 2: 21], the daughter of Hobab - [Numbers 10: 291] and the "Cushite" woman. [Numbers 12: 1].

Multiple marriage was considered a realistic alternative in the case of famine, widowhood, or female infertility. The practice of levirate marriage obligated a man whose brother has left a widow without heir to marry her. [Deut 25:5–10].

Polyandry which is another form of polygamy was explicitly forbidden. If a man slept with a woman married to another man, both were to be put to death for adultery. [Deuteronomy 22:22] Under this law, if two men were married to one woman, all three would be subject to the death penalty. It is for this reason that all examples of polygamy in scripture involve polygyny, not polyandry, and in most Christian discussion the words "polygamy" and "polygyny" can be considered synonymous.

Dchair2:

What is the shame about this? Man is fallible in all ramifications of life and that's the reason we have words like, remorse, repentance, etc. History is full of examples of people who lived wrong, did wrong, etc and then we're either repentant or remorseful of their past deeds and when they had a second opportunity they were able to right many wrongs they did and even excelled better than those who had criticized or even had a very clean past! Obasanjo is human and could have made mistakes in his assessment or he might have even seen signs of repentance which made him change his position , so what's shameful about that?

The shame is not for him (Atiku) or Obasanjo rather is for Nigerians and Nigeria as an entity which is selecting their leaders from two evils.

We r now left with the only choice of selecting a lesser evil. Its shameful my dear no matter how you try to see the bright side.

Foreign Affairs / Breaking News: Military Coup - Military Hijack Power In Gabon by exlinkleads(f): 2:10am On Jan 08, 2019
The unrest in Gabon, the ill-health of her president and the under performance of the current administration has now taken a toll in the oil-rich nation causing the military arm to stage a coup d'etat. The military is saying it has seized power from the President, Ali Bongo - led government in the country who's family have ruled the country for 50 years.

The BBC reports that soldiers in the African country said they launched a coup to restore democracy.

They took control of the national radio station in the early hours of Monday to read a short statement announcing a “National Restoration Council”. The BBC also reported that tanks and armed vehicles were on the streets of the capital Libreville.

President Bongo took over power in 2009 and since then has become a nightmare to the oil-rich country. He reportedly suffered a stroke in October and received treatment in Morocco. Mr Bongo sought to put an end to the rumours about his health with a New Year message in which he said he was feeling fine.

Soldiers said they had been disappointed by the message, calling it “a pitiful sight” and a “relentless attempt to cling onto power.”

Though after 18 hours the news broke, the Gabon government claims the situation is "under control". All five of the rebels who tried to take charge have now been arrested by the authorities.

The junior officers claimed they seized power "to restore democracy" in oils rich Gabon, where the ailing leader's family has ruled for 50 years. Tanks and armoured vehicles could be seen in the capital Libreville.

One of the rebels was on the run for a brief period, before being found hiding under a bed, reports Radio France Internationale.

"The situation is calm. The gendarmes who are often stationed there gave taken control of the entire area around the radio and TV headquarters, so everythingis back to normal", said Guy-Bertrand Mapangou government spokesman.

Is Nigeria ripe again for a military takeover? Or would you want such happen in Nigeria? Drop your comment below...
