A Pastor of the Holy Gathering Evangelical Church of God, Papalanto, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state, Oluwatobiloba Ipense, has been arrested for allegedly killing his secret lover, Railat Sanni, for ritual purposes.

The victim was a 35-year-old divorcee with five kids. The Pastor, who claimed he was ordained at the West African college, Sango in 2011, was paraded alongside his accomplice, Daniel Sopeju, who also claimed to be a prophet in another church.

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, led newsmen yesterday to the crime scene, saying, the suspect beheaded the victim, severed the two hands and buried the decapitated body in his uncompleted church. When the Commissioner of Police and his entourage, as well as newsmen, got to the scene at Papalanto, thousands of residents of the area bordering Lafarge Cement trooped out to catch a glance of the incident.

Iliyasu, who supervised the exhumation of the decapitated body of the victim in the church located in the bush, said the suspect and his accomplice were arrested last week Monday.

While explaining the process that led to the arrest of the suspects, the police boss said the command received a report of a missing person at its Divisional Headquarters in Ewekoro on Monday 26th March. He said, “The case was reported by one Adebola Saheed that his younger sister, Raliat Sanni left home since 21st March and was yet to return.

“On the strength of the report, our operatives at Ewekoro Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, OluwarotimiJeje, swung into action and embarked on technical intelligence investigation.”

Iliyasu said the suspect was arrested following a discreet analysis of facts surrounding the disappearance of the victim, as he was the last person that had contact with her.

According to Iliyasu, the suspect was a pastor in charge of Cherubim & Seraphim white garment church, Elebute area of Ewekoro. He added that in the course of interrogation, the pastor confessed to the killing of the victim and burying her inside his church after removing her head and two hands for reasons only ‘’known to him and God.”

He also mentioned one Pastor Daniel Sopeju of Iyana Egbado as his accomplice.

Iliyasu claimed that the victim was a ‘secret lover’ to the pastor, who reportedly hacked her to death. He, however, disclosed that forensic investigation into the case has commenced, adding that the case will eventually be charged to court.

While speaking with newsmen, Ipense denied the allegation that he killed the victim, but said his accomplice, Sopeju, killed Ipense claimed that Sopeju led seven members of an occultic group to his house with the aim of luring him to become a member.

Ipense who claimed to be teaching Accounting and Commerce at Methodist High School (Private), Arigbajo, said, the group had earlier asked him to submit names of his church members from which he alleged they eventually picked Raliat. He said;

“It was not true that I killed a woman, it was one Mr Sopeju Daniel and a woman that wanted to initiate me into their occultic group and they said that they are going to collect a ransom. "So they collected the names of my members and picked the name of Raliat Sanni. Having mentioned her name, they asked me where she was living and I told them she was living in Wasimi. They later got her and brought her to my church.

“Mr Sopeju brought out a knife and beheaded the woman and after beheading her, he collected her blood and put it in seven calabashes”.

He further explained that the group told him that the severed head and hands would be shared by members of the occultic group. When asked about his reaction, Sopeju denied killing her, but, however, admitted that they all belonged to white garment churches in the area.

The elder brother of the deceased, Saheed Adegbola said Raliat left home on the 21st of March, 2018 and did not return. Adegbola said:

"But on the 22nd of March, my mother came to meet her pastor to ask for her whereabouts, and the pastor told her if she sees Raliat, she will not know her again because she was owing him N200,000.

“He claimed that she borrowed the money from him. He even told my dad that they should go to Police station together to report, but my mother told him not to worry. "But on the 26th of March, I went to report the case to Police, and they gave me full support to look for my younger sister.

“Since the day we have been looking for her, she has been appearing to me in my dream. On the 31st of March, I brought Policemen to this church to ransack everywhere. When we got to the exact position she was buried, I told the Police that she was buried there because I was seeing her spirit.

“She was a divorcee with five kids; she was a hairdresser, living in her house with her children in Waisimi. She was 35 years of age and 5th position in the family.”

A tragic incident in Ijako area of Sango Otta, Ogun State has shocked the residence after a businessman, Mr. Azubuike Okoro, 34, and his wife, Jacinta, 18, were allegedly hacked to death by his brother over issue of settlement money.

The assailant, Okoro Okwudili, aged 20, was subsequently arrested by policemen attached to Sango Division while his accomplice, one Kenneth, escaped. Vanguard News gathered that the businessman was eating with his wife on Saturday when Okwudli and Kenneth, who were armed with cutlasses stormed their apartment.

They descended on the couple, inflicting cuts on their bodies with the cutlass until they passed out. However, on their way out of the apartment, neighbours who were alerted with the couple’s shout for help apprehended Okwudili, while Kenneth took to his heels.

Suspect's Confessions;

During interrogation, the suspect stated that the idea to kill his brother was sold to him by his fleeing accomplice. On why he took such action, he said:

“My brother refused to pay me after serving him for three years. At the end of my apprenticeship, he was supposed to pay me N1.2 million to set up my own business, but he has not done so for close to a year.

“When I realised it was obvious he did not want to pay me, I reported the matter to my friend, Kenneth, who lives in Sappin, Abeokuta. He (Kenneth) suggested that we should kill him. So on Saturday, we bought two cutlasses. We sharpened them for over one hour.

“We then went to my brother’s house. Immediately we entered, we saw him eating with his wife. While Kenneth faced his wife, I faced my brother. We cut them with the cutlass until they could not shout.”

Ogun State Police Command imagemaker, Assistant Superintendent Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said the corpses have been deposited at the Otta General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. He also said the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Police Command, Amed Iliyasu, had directed that the suspect be transferred to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, for discreet investigation.

His words:

"The CP equally directed that the fleeing accomplice be hunted and brought to book within the shortest possible time. "He also appealed to residents of the state not to take any threat to their lives lightly, but to report such to the Police no matter who is involved.”

A man, Smart Ojeski on Facebook, has accused a prophet, Onovwiona Emmanuel for allegedly extorting his wife and sleeping with her. The pastor has been dragged to their town hall meeting to face the council of elders in Jesse town.

Sharing pictures of the alleged fake pastor, Mr. Smart wrote;

A Facebook user, Mr. Larry Shola have narrated a very bad ordeal he witnessed in a fast food restaurant when he went out to cerebrate a friends birthday. According to him, this lady walked in with 3 kids, bought rice for two kids "which is her biological" and gave the third kid a biscuit to munch.

The insurgent group (Boko Haram) whom the Nigeria government claim has been technically defeated, hits again. No fewer than 15 persons are feared dead while 55 others sustained injuries in a Sunday night attack by Boko Haram insurgents at Bale community in the outskirts of Maiduguri.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that echoes from sporadic gunshots and multiple explosions, which lasted for hours on Sunday evening, were heard from the outskirts of the city. Competent security sources told NAN that a number of insurgents attacked Bale-Shuwa and Bale-Kura communities near Maiduguri in an attempt to infiltrate the town at about 8: 00 p. m.

The source disclosed that the insurgents parked their vehicles few meters away from a security check point and sneaked into the community. The source added that the security operatives engaged in fierce gun battle with the insurgents who detonated Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and shot sporadically.

“Dozens of people including women and children were wounded from the explosion and gun shots. "Due to darkness dead bodies were not evacuated immediately because there were suicide bombers among the attackers,” he added.

However, the Commander of the Theatre Command of Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj-Gen. Rogers Nicholas, denied any death on the side of his soldiers or civilians in the attack.

Reacting to NAN inquiry in a text message, he said, however, that some of the Boko Haram insurgents were killed.

“That’s not correct. There was an attack which was repelled and some Boko Haram insurgents were killed by gallant soldiers. " However, Boko Haram came with suicide bombers who denoted their vests while running from the troops fire in a nearby community and that led to 14 civilians being injured from the blasts.”

When the news reached the groom, he immediately filed for divorce. According to him, their prenuptial agreement didn’t permit the bride to use social media applications like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat or Instagram to send her photos to friends.

The groom was said to have cancelled the marriage and filed for divorce when the bride broke the prenup agreement. Saudi Daily said this is the shortest marriage in the history of Saudi Arabia.

He made the statement cuz it is a disadvantage and the only thing keeping people glued on mobile phone is "Social Media"

1.You won’t perpetuate your own addiction Besides being a major time-suck, social media is one hell of a drug. The more you use social media sites in the present, the more you will crave them in the future. It’s as simple as that.

2. You won’t feel inclined to doubt your self-worth, or others’. Naturally, the argument is that it’s “totally normal and acceptable to self- evaluate.” Well, isn’t it? In the grand scheme of things, yes, self-evaluation can be beneficial – healthy even – when analyzing malleable aspects, like your weight or lifestyle.

But, when it comes to social media, the savage, scrutinizing beast within all of us is rapidly unleashed. Social forums cause us to observe ourselves and question, dissect, further gouge at the parts we are most insecure about. And this act of self-prodding is rather harmful for the ego. If committed perpetually, scrutiny can lead to sporadic melancholy-like symptoms. Or worse, depression itself. On the bright side, in foregoing self-scrutiny, you also won’t have to scoff the girl next to you for posting that stupid, semi-drunken picture of herself captioned “my squad > yours.”

3. You won’t feel inclined to validate your self-worth. Yes, we live in the real world, but our self-worth is decided by the virtual. Currently, ‘likes’ and comment quantities carry more weight than ever before, and follower count is almost as important as, if not more important than, your SAT score. And, boy, if your Instagram feed isn’t looking like Urban Outfitters’, you best damn be in the process of getting it there. But, let’s be honest, no one relishes the shitty feeling that comes after seven ‘likes’ and the realization that your best friend also posted three minutes ago and already has a whopping 65.

I’m sorry, but your how your Instagram feed looks is not going to matter in 20 years; and the amount of likes you got on your new Facebook profile picture is not going to get you into your dream school or help you nail that interview for the job you’ve wanted since you were little. That is the thing about social validation – it’s fleeting.

4. You’ll be more present. Too often, I’ve witnessed people sitting in silence – nose down, eyes wide, consumed by the two by six inch screen in their hands, ignoring their peers to the fullest extent. As if this virtual isolation – this constructed, technological oasis – could be comparable to content through actual, verbal communication. Millennials worship social media, almost as if they found God somewhere within the web and the power it held over them.

But, whether they realize it or not, they are tirelessly, yet amiably enslaved by something they can’t even see. No, this is not love. This is not God. This is their gateway drug to isolation. Social media has to power to create disconnection, all the while claiming its inverse. But despite feeling like you most certainly can’t live without it, in truth, you can.

Now you know the truth, what will you do different?

During The Time Of Jonathan Who You Claim Destroyed Nigeria "This Was The Case" - Reno - Osinbajo

An interesting debate regarding the administration of ex president, Goodluck Jonathan whom Prof. Yemi Osinbajo claimed "Destroyed" Nigeria have taken over the airwaves of Twitter as prominent Nigerians join in on a debate raised by former GEJ's aide, Reno Omokri.

Recall that last week, the Nigeria's vice president, Yemi Osinbajo said in a statement that ex President, Goodluck Jonathan "destroyed" Nigeria during his administration. Consequently, Jonathan's former aide, Reno Omokri has brought certain things and situations to the notice of the vice president, detailing how Nigeria was faring (clearly much more better than now) during Jonathan's time.

Sometimes, I personally wonder why politics, like religion make people lose all sense of dignity and worth, just because they want to serve the polity and the people in power. Nothing like politics of ideology again and one cannot even say the simple truth regarding the situations on ground.

Croatian Striker, Bruno Dies Tragically On The Pitch After Ball Was Smashed On His Chest - Video

Marsonia striker, Bruno Boban tragically passed away during his side’s match against Slavonija Pozega in the Croatian third tier football league over the weekend. Bruno, the Croatian third division’s top scorer, was 15 minutes into the game when Pozega player smashed the ball into his chest from close range.

Play continued until the 25-year-old suddenly fell to the ground unconscious. Realising something was horribly wrong, players from both sides rushed to his aid as those on the touchline called an ambulance.
Emergency workers spent almost an hour trying to revive Boban, after he collapsed on the pitch.

His team-mates and rivals struggled to fight back tears as medics pronounced the striker dead at the scene. The cause of Boban death has not yet been announced.
