Look around U & see which industry/institution is closer to U & how best U can use them to ur advantage in getting contracts.

At times, it depend on ur current profession or expertise. For instance, u are into Computer Sales, Repair & Maintenance, you can easily position urself in that aspect of contracting.
Maybe u are into Furniture sales, u can go into furniture supply contract.

Moreso, U can meet d purchasing manager of the organization to discuss opportunities to supply foodstuffs or agricultural produce for their production, stationeries, building materials, mechanical parts, cleaning of company premises or bush clearing.

U may be requested to write a proposal & file other documents. And, both parties will take it from there.

And 2;
Visit schools around U. Communicate ur intention to supply textbooks to the school authority.

Enquire the types of textbooks the use. If they show interest, look for reliable academic book publishers like Evans and the rest. Request for a distributorship deal or buy wholesale and add your profit margin when U supply.

Seriously, u've got to make ur own research. I need funds to start these businesses myself.

For instance you will 50 dollars to build what people would charge like for 400 dollars and that makes no sense to me in any way. So most times I don't apply for jobs that much it even pays me to do Nigeria jobs, however I think the solution is to target a recurring task where you already have the solution so its easier to do and implement, another alternative I have been looking at is Codecanyon where you sell scripts but that's a long time investment as you really have to build a serious solution and test, another faster is still codecanyon but theme development. However if you can develop WordPress then you will in a lot of money, sadly its a terrible mess as its code is not structured but hey if it pays I have no choice than to work with it. Will share more options as I research more.

I'm glad you're making a headway already. You are particularly right about recurring solutions. As a writer, I have something similar to that: three clients that pay well and consistently. How would I have survived all these peanuts most Asian clients pay?

Again, look beyond your niche - softwares. I once tried translations and made more money on one job in one month than ALL I made from writing in the three months that preceded it. I was shocked.

In a way i envy all you writer and proof readers, sadly I can't take project for 50$ most of them requires developing a Software solution that's robust and takes time for a meager amount.

You have a point brother. What I've learnt is that we can't just be offer the same services on different platforms. For instance, I write on Upwork, Proofread/edit on Truelancer, consult on Fiverr etc.

That way, it's difficult to go for long without a job. And while writing jobs are very plenty, the pay is often paltry. I reject more jobs than I accept. I was thinking your niche pays way better.

About Guest Posting

I presently earn about 100 pounds/us dollars per guest post, and I have pending contracts. The long and short of it all is that you have to be an authority in a particular area to have the credentials to be accepted on sites that accept guest posts. This means you have to invest money to acquire a professional qualification if you really want to make money from guest posts. Then you apply to websites that have high domain authority. For my own field, I have more than 500 websites and yet I only post to a few of them as I am way too busy.

Usually, you are allowed to post a link to just one website. Some high DA websites actually require you to pay to put up a guest post. There are also sites which allow you to do this for free.

I have been guest posting for 8 months now. My total earnings from guest posting has been about $3,000 so far. IT IS NOT AS EASY AS THE OP IS PAINTING IT. It is hard to get access to put up guest posting on websites, especially as we are not native English speakers in this part of the world. Furthermore, PPH is a very hard place to get such work. Why will a British citizen pick you ahead of a fellow Brit who can speak and write better English? You will only get jobs ahead of such people if you are an EXPERT in the areas of focus of the guest posting sites.

That's the long and short of it all. Coming from a guest poster and someone who has actually made money from it, not just heard of it from someone.

PS: You don't need any Fiverr experience to do guest posting. I do not have a Fiverr account and I will never have one.
