Tale of the Warrior Princess
❤️🗡️🦋👑

Episode 16

The morning was cool as Zamu dwelled deeply on her father’s words. Today marked the beginning of her training, a prospect that filled her with fear. She was not cut out for a life filled with violence; it wasn’t her calling.
“My princess, are you alright?” Oma’s concerned voice broke the silence as she untangled Zamu’s hair, preparing to braid it anew. Despite witnessing Oma’s interaction with Khaz, Zamu wanted to rely on her as her only friend in Brazat, someone she could confide in and share her fears with.
“I’m afraid of the training. What if I’m not capable enough to become the warrior princess? And Neema, she dislikes me. I can already foresee the hardships she’ll put me through. I’m terrified of the weight this destiny places on my shoulders. Why couldn’t Khaz be the warrior prince?” Zamu lamented.
Oma yearned to reveal that she was there not because Khaz was incapable, but due to another unknown reason. However, she recalled Khaz’s warning not to disclose anything about the palace to Zamu. In time, the princess would find out the true reason she was in Brazat on her own.
“Princess, you’ll be fine. I know you possess the courage to become our warrior princess,” Oma reassured, though Zamu bit her lip and remained silent as Oma braided her hair.
“Armani will be present, along with other warriors,” Oma added.
“What? Is this some form of public humiliation?” Zamu’s heart raced.
“Do you care for Armani? Are you afraid of facing public embarrassment in front of him?” Oma inquired, but Zamu refrained from responding, recalling the sight of Khaz and Oma together.
“No, it’s not that. The prince is incapable of such cruelty. I injured myself while working in the kitchen. It’s nothing. Just the life of a slave,” Oma tried to conceal her scarred hands from Zamu’s gaze.
Zamu attempted to say something more to her personal maid, but she struggled to find the right words, sensing that Oma was hiding something from her. Doubts regarding trust lingered in Brazat, leaving her unsure of her place in this unfamiliar world.
Oma remained silent, holding back the multitude of things she wished to say to the princess. Zamu held little real power until she became a warrior, perhaps a mere pawn in her father’s power game. Oma understood that much was transpiring in Brazat, but she was bound to silence as commanded by Khaz, who struck fear into her heart with the terrible things he had done. She bowed to the princess once she finished braiding her hair and hurried to her room, where she could weep over her wretched existence as a servant.
In the armory room, Neema sat examining the swords and various weapons used in their kingdom’s wars. Yet, her thoughts weren’t on the men and women she had defeated with those swords; instead, she fantasized about defeating Zamu in combat during their training.
Neema believed she should be the warrior princess, not Zamu. She had fought in numerous battles and brought honor to their land. However, King Bara decided to bestow the title upon a naive young girl. Filled with frustration over her lack of power and wealth, Neema swung the sword angrily, venting her anger with a loud cry.
Nila sauntered in, clad in revealing attire that emphasized her figure, aimed at captivating men’s attention. But her focus wasn’t on men at the moment; it was on her sister.
“Neema, you must control your rage and let go of your ambition to become the warrior princess. If you push too hard and inflict pain on the princess, her father may notice your animosity,” Nila advised calmly.
“I’m not like you, Nila. Spare me your useless counsel and do your part. Keep Armani in line, and maybe you’ll secure your future. Or perhaps set your sights on wealthier men like Khaz,” Neema retorted.
“Enough about Khaz! We’ve had this conversation before. I don’t want him. I won’t abandon Armani for any woman. I came here to tell you to be strategic in training the princess. Don’t make it obvious that you’re out to harm her,” Nila responded firmly.
“I know, Nila, I know. I am the warrior here, not you! Remember that! I will teach her a lesson while exercising caution,” Neema swore.
As she finished speaking, Neema noticed Armani standing behind Nila, his face etched with deep concern.
“Who are you planning to target? Neema, I hope you’re not about to do what I think you’re planning. What has that poor girl done to you since you met her? You will not…” Armani’s voice trailed off.
“What will I not do, Armani? Why are you getting so worked up, acting like a protective rooster? Is there something between you and the princess that we don’t know?” Neema accused Armani outright.
“What?” Armani stammered, his anger intensifying.
“Neema, watch your words! You don’t know how to treat a man as brave as him!” Nila scolded her sister while caressing Armani’s arms.
Consumed by anger, Neema stormed off, waiting for the opportunity to take out her frustration on Zamu. In the armoury room, Nila ran her hands over Armani’s muscular body, attempting to soothe his anger.
“Don’t be upset by Neema’s rude behaviour. Like you do for me, she needs a man to calm her down,” Nila whispered as she kissed his lips.
“Stop it, Nila. This isn’t the way to talk to me. Your sister made a serious accusation against me, and if anyone hears it, the King won’t be pleased. The title of warrior princess is reserved for royalty, not a mere warrior like me,” Armani breathed heavily.
“Then make it clear that you don’t care for her, so there won’t be any rumors. Treat her as if she means nothing to you,” Nila suggested.
“What do you mean? She’s destined to be the warrior princess, and we must show her respect. That’s all I have for her,” Armani replied.
“Fine, Armani, if that’s how you feel. Just remember that you have a beautiful woman like me, and you don’t need anyone else,” Nila said between breaths, resuming their passionate kisses. Armani could barely control himself as he reciprocated with even more passionate kisses.
“Yes, Armani,” Nila moaned, pulling him closer to her warm body.
“Wait, Nila… Have you been with other men before? I mean…” Armani hesitated.
“How dare you ask me that? I am a maiden, and you’re the only man who has ever touched me. I don’t even know what I’m doing. I’m just a helpless, innocent young woman trying to make her man happy. And now you insult me!” Nila sobbed.
“I’m sorry, Nila. I just…” Armani blinked innocently, his hands retracting.
“I’m afraid of being alone with a man,” Nila feigned innocence, leaving Armani confused and foolish for questioning her about her virginity.
Despite needing to keep him closer more than ever, she couldn’t let him believe that she had been with other men. He was to be her husband and he could never know!

ST.ROCKS BOYS: CHAPTER 10
A Bloody Fight

While the boys got the chance to escape, Emilia and Jessica were unable to leave before the outbreak of violence overtook the once joyful hall where both boys and girls had been dancing vigorously.

Nobody knew what had triggered such a violent outburst. However, the bloody violence that occurred that day had never occurred in the history of ST.Rocks. Yes, ST. Rocks was a renowned school, known for ganging up on rival schools or seniors ganging up on juniors. But this one was different. No school had ever dared to bring a fight to their school.

This attack was brutal and unexpected, and it lasted for several hours while Emilia hid under the table with her Friend.

How she had gotten there she couldn’t tell. Or maybe she could! She suddenly remembered when someone fell on their table and both her and Jessica had to scramble out while screaming in fear.

They ran to the door, pounding on it with urgency, but no one could hear their cries amidst the deafening music that filled the hall.

I’m so scared! We should have left earlier. Where is Amy? What is happening?” Jessica spoke frantically as she and her companion ran through the hall, attempting to flee from the groups of boys engaged in violent fights, smashing bottles on each other’s heads and fighting like wild animals.

As the girls made their way through the tumultuous scene, a warring group nearly struck them. They could hear the deafening screams and sounds of weapons clashing and blows being exchanged as they hurried in fear.

As they ran,one of the fighters accidentally hit Jessica’s legs, causing her to lose balance and bruise her elbow. Emilia helped her up quickly, dragging her to the stage as she suddenly remembered there was an exit from there.

However, on the stage, there were more than seven boys engaged in a violent brawl, leaving no safe path for the girls to escape without sustaining injuries. With trembling hands, Emilia had to take shelter behind the curtain of the large stage window with her friend, waiting for an opportunity to exit.

Behind the curtain, Emily shook uncontrollably as she watched the madness happening before her eyes, suddenly remembering how everything had started. Greg had tried to warn her to go back to her hostel but before she could ask him why Senior Don was marching her way and Greg had vanished.

Everything happened so fast and before Senior Don could get to her, a strange-looking guy had smashed his head with a bottle from behind which had him dazed for a moment while his head gushed with blood. But the boys didn’t stop there, they punched and kicked him while Emilia stood there frozen. She couldn’t understand why she couldn’t will her legs to run from danger or why she couldn’t even scream.

In her frozen state, she heard Jessica’s voice urgently urging her to leave the hall. She snapped out of it and ran with her friend, her heart racing as they made their way towards the exit. As they reached the door, ready to leave, it suddenly slammed shut with a loud bang, and a group of boys shoved them aside in their haste to get inside. That was when the true chaos and madness began.

The boys of ST. Rocks were in a furious state, attacking any boy who wasn’t wearing their school uniform. They had all the doors locked to make sure no one could escape their terror.

Someone had dared to hit a ST.ROCKS senior in their own school… that was all they thought about as a deadly fight broke out. Many would go home with broken joints and bruises, Emilia thought as she watched the bloody fight. Tears welled up in her eyes as she asked herself why she hadn’t left earlier.

When was it ever going to end? She thought as the brutal fight continued. The punch and bottle stabbing was too much for her to behold. Why didn’t she go to her hostel earlier? She wept alongside Jessica. They held each other behind that curtain while they waited for someone to put an end to the madness and violence.

And someone did. The fight finally ended when someone hit the door of the hall hard and repeatedly. It was an old door, so it didn’t take such a long before it came open and Mr. Kams and more ST. Rocks boys rushed in to join the fight and chase their attackers away.

Emilia and Jessica felt a wave of relief wash over them as they watched the boys disperse and no one told them to run back to their school, with the memory of the violent fight.

Leaving the hall was no easy feat, but they gathered their courage and raced out of the door alongside many others who were also struggling to escape.

But not everyone could escape. One of Zuki’s guys was caught by senior Gabo who had seen him brutally punching Senior Don. And Gabo and the other seniors had no intention of letting him go until they had taught him a lesson.

“Make una leave am!” Mr. Kams said while the boys punched the bruised and tired boy.

“Mr. Kams, we can’t just let him go! We won’t! This guy and his crew planned this attack. You should have seen how they were beating up Don. They went after him specifically and we need to find out why,” Gabo exclaimed between heavy breaths. Despite his own injuries and the scent of the fight on him, he was determined to bring justice for Don. The boys at St. Rocks were like brothers, and they would never rest until they had turned every stone to get to the bottom of things.

“Calm down guys! Calm down! No beat am again. Just calm down!” Mr. Kams told the boys who circled Zuki’s guy.

“Did you people offend any of your rival schools and they have come back for revenge?”Mr. Kams asked, rolling his sleeves up as he stared at the wounded boy sitting on the bare floor of the hall surrounded by angry ST.Rocks boys. The boys were unable to provide a clear answer, as they had a long history of offending many schools.

“See, Matt and Jazzy, go and make sure Don is receiving the treatment he needs. Go, while I deal with this guy. I cannot believe you boys have become so weak that any school and any riffraff can challenge you in your own school! Your own school! His bitter voice echoed in the hall.

“Sir, we were not expecting any fi…”

“Silence!” Mr. Kams barked, glaring at the battered ST. Rocks boys. “As ST. Rocks boys, you should always be prepared. How many schools have you fought and wreaked havoc on? How many? And yet you expect your social day to go without incident. You boys are a joke. You should have been ready. In my day as a ST. Rocks boy, nothing like this ever happened. No one dared to lay a finger on a St.Rocks boy. But look at what you’ve done. Blood and broken bottles everywhere, and school property destroyed. Do you really think the school administration will let this slide?” He continued to scold the boys.

“Sir, please hear me out.” Senior Gabo pleaded again he had feeling someone had planned the fight and that it wasn’t coincidental.

“What?”

“Sir, They targeted Don, I think we should find out from him why they did. We have him here, let’s interrogate him”

Mr. Kams saw his point but he really didn’t think beating a younger boy was the answer to the whole mess. So, instead of letting the boys beat the poor boy some more, he grabbed the boy by his collar and made him a promise that if he shared why they targeted senior Don, he would ensure that he left the school without any further harm.

“Na some ST. Rocks junior arrange am. I no know their class but I swear no be external beef!” the wounded boy managed to say, wobbling on air as Mr. Kams stared in dead in the eye.

“You de lie!” Mr. Kams slapped the boy, letting him land on the floor. No junior could have the mind to plan something so deadly.

“I swear, sir. Na them bring the ladder wey we use climb enter una school. I swear, abeg make I just go! Abeg!”

Mr. Kams and the boys looked at the boy in disbelief. It was hard for them to fathom that a junior had masterminded such a dangerous plan. However, they were determined to find out who was behind it, and with Mr. Kams’ assistance, it was only a matter of time before they did. Since Senior Don had been terribly injured, it was crucial they identify the junior responsible and deal with them.

ST.ROCKS BOYS: CHAPTER 9

A Deadly Day

In, out, In, out, Greg tried to breathe as they hid behind the building that offered them a clear view of the House of Pain.

“Wait, how do we make it across? Those seniors will surely see us and punish us even before we get a chance for revenge” Greg asked, as he wiped the sweat away from his face, the sunny day adding to his apprehension.

“I don’t know but let’s just wait. We can’t afford to go back now” Jide said breathlessly and for the first time he was afraid of moving forward with their revenge plan.
While Jide and Greg hid behind the wall waiting to put their plan in motion, the rest of the school were cheering and jubilating as students from various schools participated in debates and other performances that were the highlight of Social day. The large hall was filled to capacity not just with ST.Rocks students but also with pupils from other esteemed schools in Minner town. The atmosphere was charged with cheer and celebration.

And it was hard for him to be out here in the sun away from all that fun… away from Emilia. This could have been his chance with her, Jide thought to himself, squinting his eyes because of the brightness of the sun as he scanned to see if the seniors were still in the House of Pain.

“No” he shook his head, he couldn’t have possibly had any chance with her not when Senior Don had his eyes on her and when she obviously liked Greg. He glared at Greg as he suddenly remembered how Emilia had ignored him. However, Greg was oblivious to Jide’s watchful gaze and had no idea about the intense jealousy Jide felt towards him.

“Are you sure we can do this? I think we have gone too far! We should not do this, it is too risky!” Greg lamented as he crouched on the floor.

“Just shut up! We can do this! There’s no turning back. And we will finally succeed, everyone will praise us even without knowing we planned this. Just be calm.” He chided Greg whose light-skinned face was red with doubts and fear.

“Look they are leaving already! They are leaving!” Jide said in excitement, tapping Jide to get up from the floor.

“Once they are out we will go over to that fence and signal for your cousin’s guy to climb in. We will describe which seniors we want him to target. Senior Don is tying a scarf on his wrist, so it would be easy to identify him. Greg, do you hear me? Snap out of your fear and act like a true ST.Rocks boy!” Jide screamed at him.

Greg sat up immediately and wore a hard look on his face. Steadying his breathing, he joined Jide as they made their way slowly in broad day light to let the notorious Zuki into their school.

Social Day was the only day students from various schools were permitted to dress in both mufti and uniforms and stream through the wide-open ST. Rocks gate. It was the only day when the gate was unlocked, unlike on all other days it remained firmly shut, secured with a giant padlock.

But today anyone could walk in without raising suspicions. So, once Zuki and his boys were inside, they could mingle easily and get the job done. And after that they would escape from the high fence using the short ladder Jide and Greg had brought for them, if they were lucky.
As they raced to where they had the ladder hidden close to the wall, the only words that screamed in Greg’s mind were “What if they were caught?”

They would probably be punished and suspended for letting notorious cultists into their school. He scanned the vast empty space between the House of Pain and the school fence, but there was no one in sight.

“My guy! I don miss you. So na here you de hide?” Zuki spoke slowly, his half-closed eyes wandering over Greg’s ST. Rocks uniform, as he jumped down the ladder.

“St. Rocks boy! I de feel you!” He hailed Greg, slapping him on his head as five more boys got down from the fence and joined them.

“So who be this?” He asked, suddenly noticing Jide who was watching him with fear in his eyes.

“My name na Jide Akintola” Jide blurted out of fear. It was obvious he was standing before someone even more dangerous than senior Don. The way Zuki spoke and carried himself said that much.

“Eh, Akintola… e be like say I know you. You de stay for that big house for Marina Junction” Zuki, said as he studied him and Jide’s eye widened as he wondered how Zuki knew his home.

“Zuki abeg no time, we need to leave before someone sees us.” Greg said, his gaze darting around in fear.

“No de fear, I de here. You see those boys, una no go recognize them after today. And I go tell them say na because of you, my guy, I come disfigure them”

“No abeg, no tell me abeg!” Greg pleaded.

“Eh?” Zuki’s intense gaze locked onto Greg, causing him to gulp in fear.

“Make we go de go. Let’s do this, guys!” Zuki commanded, and they all marched towards the entrance of the hall where the Social day was taking place. Meanwhile, Jide and Greg returned to where they came from. It seemed as if they had never met the boys, and that’s the way they intended to keep it.

Greg observed Zuki as he walked like a zombie, while his followers strutted behind him with their chests puffed out. He hoped they could try and blend in until evening when the plan would work perfectly.

“Hey, it wasn’t that bad. This will work. I cannot wait to see those wicked seniors in pain.” Jide slapped his back playfully.

“Yeah, I guess” He feigned a smile as they both adjusted their uniforms. They walked into the hall, joining the others for Social day as if they hadn’t planned the greatest hit on their seniors.
———————————————————————————————-
“Can I talk to you outside?” Senior Don asked Emilia, his gaze trailing over her curvy figure as she waited backstage for her turn to present.

“No, I can’t talk to you. I am about to go on stage. So, please maybe another time.”Emilia replied dryly, without even glancing in his direction. Who did he think he was, asking her to step outside at such a crucial moment? She rolled her eyes at him as he watched her.

Senior Don was taken aback, wondering why Emilia was trying to make a fool of him. Did she not realize that she was speaking to a senior?

“I said I want to talk to you” He repeated.

“I wish I can but I have to go” Emilia walked away because no boy had the right to command her. Not even a senior at ST. Rocks. There was only one boy she wanted to see now and it was Greg. And he was nowhere to be found, she said as she watched the large number of students seated in the hall, from the high stage.

-------------------------------
It was 6 o’clock in the evening, and while most of the well-behaved and frightened students had retired to their rooms and schools, students like Emilia, Jessica, Amy, and a significant number of others still hung around the hall, enjoying their only free day to socialize with others. Standing near the exit door, the three girls were a bit apprehensive because they knew it wasn’t a good time to be in the hall. But Emilia refused to leave until she spoke to Greg.

The hall, which had been filled with the booming sound of debates and loud clapping a few hours ago, was now shaking with loud noise as students partied hard. Despite being approached by numerous students to dance, Emilia had no interest in dancing with anyone. Her eyes finally settled on Greg, who was speaking to his friends, and Amy’s eyes followed hers. The only reason she and her friends were still enduring the steamy, noisy atmosphere of the hall was because of Greg.

Purposefully, Emilia strode to where Greg stood, determined to speak with him. She noticed that he was about to walk away when he saw her, but she called out his name and followed him, leaving him no choice but to stop and turn to her.

“Hey, are you avoiding me?”

Greg swallowed hard because he was indeed running away from her since Senior Don had warned him off her.

“I am just looking for someone to hang out with before social day is finally over! You promised to hang out with me, did you not?” Emilia asked a bit angry she was beginning to like Greg a bit too much. She ran her hands through her braids while she ignored all the other boys around.

“But social day is over. Why are you still here? You shouldn’t be here, Emilia. Things could get dead…” Greg tried to say but Jide shot him a deadly look that made him shut up.

“I mean we would soon be leaving. It is getting dark.”

“I don’t care. Let’s go to that corner and talk. Come on!” Emilia said, playfully dragging Greg along. Jide watched with anger building up inside him, but he wasn’t the only one. Senior Don also seethed with rage as he saw Emilia pull Greg away. How dare this junior reject him for some clueless newcomer like Greg? His pride was wounded.

With a sudden desire to show Emilia just how powerful he was as a senior, Senior Don bounced towards them from the opposite end of the hall where he had been standing to teach Greg a lesson. But at the same time, Jide discreetly signaled to Zuki and his boys who had been waiting for him to help them identify Senior Don before he sneaked off through the back door.

Greg saw both Senior Don and Zuki’s boy headed towards his direction and no one told him to disengage from his conversation with Emilia and find his way back to his hostel.

“Go to your hostel now!” He managed to say as he saw the Zuki and his boys walking marching faster to block senior Don. It was about to go down and he didn’t want to be caught in the middle of it. As he escaped through the back door to safety the last thing he saw was Emilia’s frightened face.

Romance / She Caught Her Younger Sister Kissing The Strange Man In Their Home by ExploreFeelings(f): 4:54pm On Apr 13, 2023
He closed his eyes as his mind traveled back to when his father was alive. Jack had been his favorite son and Maverick and his mum knew they had to trick him into bequeathing his major wealth to Maverick. His mum… He wished she was here with him, what would she advise him to do now?

He wondered and when he opened his eyes Rose was standing in front of him in a skimpy flowery gown… what a lovely view! He smiled to himself. She was beauty itself. Her dimples were pronounced on her cheek as she smiled back at him.

“Do you mind if I sit with you?” she asked in a charming tone and he didn’t hesitate to scoot over for her to have a seat beside him. She moved closer to him and their naked skins rubbed each other's and he felt this electrifying sensation. And Rose was loving the effect she had on him, she licked her lips seductively.

As their skins touched, Maverick could hardly think clearly. When Rose turned to look at him, their faces were inches close and he couldn’t stop himself from swallowing hard as he felt the intense desire to kiss her well-shaped lips. And she watched with intense desire burning in her eyes.
————————————————————————
While Maverick and Rose were having a great time outside, Rachel was having a terrible dream. She had just returned from her place of charity work after which she decided to take a nap but the terrifying dreams just wouldn’t let her be.

It was Mezie chasing her down a lonely street while his evil laughter echoed after her. And her legs were simply too heavy to take down the road… but she kept running and panting. Then she saw her car just down the street and was about to open it when…

“Oh for Goodness sake! Why won’t he let me be?” She exclaimed, feeling devastated as she scattered her pillows all over her massive bed. She regretted ever falling in love with a maniac… she had been so so foolish! She almost screamed! Now, widely awake, she chided herself for still being afraid of Mexie after 2 whole years.

What she needed was fresh air…maybe it would help her feel better. So, she threw a simple kimono over her jumpsuit to take a walk around the house. There was absolute silence when she stepped out of her room and she wondered where Rose and the others were.

Knowing Rose, she was probably in her room swiping through her phone. The naughty girl… she was lucky she didn’t get a hold of her the last time she dragged her into the pool.

Rachel was still lamenting about Rose and wasn't prepared for what greeted her next. She was dumbfounded.

“Rose!” she screamed when she finally got herself.

Rachel’s Cross: Chapter 33

With a racing mind and a furrowed brow, Maverick thought about their options before finally concluding that they had to leave Duke’s town that night.

“But why? We can’t just leave everything behind and go into hiding? Tell me who we are running from and maybe we can find a way to defeat them together” Rachel’s voice wavered. She had no idea where she had gotten the courage to say those words after what she had suffered that night.

Drawing closer to Maverick, she looked him deep in the eyes with pleading eyes and said “Tell me about your past. I have opened up to you and you ought to do the same. We need each other now.”
Maverick locked his gaze on hers for a brief moment before moving to a couch to sit and revealed his deepest secret.

Rachel leaned back in her bed, listening to him.

As he began to narrate the scam he and his mother pulled on their father and Jack, Maverick deeply hoped Rachel wouldn’t think less of him.

But as he revealed the truth of his past, there was no judgment or condemnation on Rachel’s face. Her eyes never left his face as she listened to him with rapt attention.

“There was no way I or my mum would allow Jack take over the company. He had no single idea how to run it and he would have run it down in just a day. He was a ruthless gangster who didn’t care about our family. My father was so fond of poor Jack that he decided to leave almost everything to him because he was the first son. But my mother, in her wisdom, had already devised a plan. My father was already bedridden and nearly blind when he asked for Jack, I went in his place since Jack was barely ever home. I dressed like Jack… and mind you we look very much alike, the only way to tell us apart is a very tiny scar on the side lips and I made sure I looked exactly like him with my mother’s help. My father mistook me for Jack after feeling my face and noticing my rugged dressing style through his half-blind eyes. It was believable because I mimicked how Jack spoke. He handed me a flash drive containing all of the information on where his property documents could be found and which investors to contact.”

Maverick narrated as his mind wandered back to the time when he defrauded his ruthless brother of his inheritance.

Rachel watched him the entire time, never judging him.

“I had everything planned out with the help of my mum, who is now locked up in an old people’s home by my evil twin. Well, I had a hiding spot in mind where I could lay low until I could deal with Jack and take control of the company, not until Peter ruined everything. And he was my friend and he knew all about my plan” Maverick’s expression darkened as he remembered how his former best friend had betrayed him.

“I had no idea he was working together with Jack… I ended up being locked in a dark hole by my brother for months where I was tortured” He continued in a pained voice.

Rachel gasped at the mention of Maverick’s suffering. Maverick noticed the genuine concern on her face and he knew then that she cared deeply about him.

“”Rachel,” he said urgently, “Jack is a dangerous and ruthless gangster. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants, and right now, I have everything he’s after. That’s why we can’t stay here and why no one else must know. Do you understand?” He cupped her worried face and looked into her eyes.

“I don’t know what I have gotten us into.” Maverick groaned, his distress quite obvious. Rachel instinctively reached out to him, her hands gently caressing his face.

“Hey, we will survive this. Just tell me what we need to do now. We will survive this” She kissed him.

“I love you Rachel… I really do.” He said to her but Rachel only nodded without saying anything in return. Closing her eyes, she mediated on those words and how beautiful they sounded to her ears.”

“We have to leave now!” Maverick suddenly announced with a renewed sense of determination.
Hurriedly, they moved towards the backdoor, leaving the blaring sound from the event behind.

But suddenly there was Rose in their path, her eyes widened in surprise as she saw them leaving.

“Don’t tell me you both are leaving? Come on guys, it is so not fair to your guests. You can always do whatever you are both going home to do some other time. Come on! Don’t you think your love is driving you both a little bit too crazy” She blocked their path, her lips curled up in disapproval.

“Rose, we need to leave now!” Maverick said in a low voice.

“But I don’t understand why. Rose, this is your event and you are just going to leave after planning this for months? Come on, what about your guests?” Rose asked again, staring at her mute sister.

“This is not the time Rose. Get out of the way!” Maverick growled at her. Rose hesitated for a moment before stepping out of the way as the couple stormed past her.

Her eyes were filled with hurt because Maverick had never spoken to her in such a way as she watched them disappear into the night.

A faint smile graced Rachel’s lip as they walked away. She couldn’t help but feel satisfied that Maverick had finally put Rose in her place.

In the empty dark compound, Maverick Maverick surveyed his surroundings with keen eyes, alert for any signs of danger, doubting his decision to leave Duke’s town. He sighed as she gently pulled his wife towards their car. He would keep her safe no matter what.
All they had to do now was get home and gather some things before leaving.
—————————————————————————–

Maverick and Rachel sat in silence as they drove along the dark road, illuminated only by the dim street lights. Maverick’s mind was filled with doubts, questioning whether he was making the right decision by taking Rachel away from her family in the middle of the night.

Contemplating about his rather rash decisions, he had no idea when he got closer to the intersection of their home. But at the narrow road was an expensive car that looked quite familiar he got closer, his hands grew clammy on the steering wheel, and he realized with a sinking feeling who it was.

It was already too late when Maverick saw the tall domineering figure of his twin brother. He tried to reverse backward, but there was already a second car blocking the entrance.

The driver of the car stepped out menacingly, and panic surged through him when he saw Peter.
They were trapped!

Rachel was both scared and dumbfounded and she couldn’t understand why Peter was blocking their path.

“Rachel, they just found us! It is too late! We are in trouble” Maverick stopped the car.

“Who?”

“Peter and Jack, my twin” Maverick managed to say before the doors swung open and standing before him was his replica, Jack who was wearing a wicked grin on his face. The last thing he heard was Rachel’s piercing scream as a brutal blow knocked him out.

CHAPTER 25: I AM UGLY

Her time for revenge was near. She was alone in her room again, her duvet wrapped around her long legs, her upper body adorned in a wooly white sweater. The weather was a bit chilly. It was that time of the year and it was so easy to stay curled up in bed all day because of the cold.

The others had gone for morning lectures. But Mildred had other plans. Her cold eyes stared at the view of the school from her room, but it wasn’t beautiful; it was blurry and bloody. Yes, it was her time to take care of the menace they called a cleaner. Quickly, she tossed the duvet aside and climbed down her bed towards the door.

Mildred peered through peephole on the door as she watched the cleaner who had accompanied Madam Agatha leaving with her mopping bucket… was she really gone? Was Madam Agatha alone now? She didn’t wait to find the answers as she opened the door gradually and tiptoed down the corridor that led to the T-end. The hostel was awfully quiet for a place that buzzed like a town of bees. And that was because most people had gone for their morning lectures.

From the corner where she hid, she could see Madam Agatha washing the toilet sinks indolently, while she watched the students who strolled to school in their trendy outfits. She hissed at their outfits and mumbled curses only she could hear. She was so busy criticizing the students that she had no idea when Mildred walked into one of the bathrooms and closed it gently. With her back facing the entrance to the bathrooms, there was no way she would have seen Mildred.

The T-end was made up of 2 rows of bathrooms and 2 rows of toilets, which were demarcated by tiny steps. Each row was made up of 4 rooms, which were specifically for the girls in Mildred’s hostel wing. The toilet and bathroom area of the school was large to accommodate more than 10 girls at a time. At the back of the bathrooms was a dark area which housed the taps where cleaners and students often fetched water before climbing the steps that demarcated the rows of toilets from the bathrooms.

The area always remained dark, even when the toilet area was well-illuminated. The dark area also led to the spot where she had waited for Vivian before dousing her with water. But this time, the small door looked locked and she couldn’t hope to use it as a means of escape. She would have to find a way back to her room, she told herself when she passed that area… that shouldn’t be a problem, since the hostel was quiet and scanty in the morning. There would be no one to catch her. Her eyes glittered with mischief.

Locked up in that bathroom closest to the steps, Mildred kept thinking about her next move… she had no laid-out plan but she knew today was the day. This was her chance! She heard Madam Agatha heavy footfalls as she climbed the steps that led from the bathroom to the toilet. She was heaving from the easy chore, which seemed like difficult to her because she was lazy.

“Chinekem, what is all this?” Madam Agatha yelled as the small bucket of water she was carrying splashed water all over the stairs. At that moment Mildred opened the door gently to peep through it and Madam Agatha still had no idea someone was there, even though the bathroom door was close to the tap area. Few of the girls who were in the hostel didn’t come close to the toilet because they knew Madam Agatha was on duty. So, the area remained quiet. The only noise came from Madam Agatha’s hissing and cursing.

Having splashed the little water she fetched all over the tiny flight of stairs, Madam Agatha had to take yet another trip to the dark area close to the bathroom. Mildred watched her as she did her chores lazily with her face squeezed like she was eating hot Akara. She wasn’t an ugly woman, but her wickedness made her appear so.

Madam Agatha wasn’t an observant person. She was slow and only had eyes for ridiculing and criticizing young girls. As she fetched the water slowly, the bucket was barely full before she lifted it like it was filled with sand or heavy stones. Grunting like a baby, she hauled the bucket down the stairs and still she had no idea someone was watching. She climbed down the steps gradually since her weight was too much for her to carry.

When Madam Agatha paused on stairs, Mildred knew that was her moment… she tiptoed out of the bathroom and walked directly behind Madam Agatha. And then she pushed her down the wet steps and her old bones crackled as she fell. She screamed in pain as rolled down the remaining stairs, but couldn’t look back in time to see who her assailant was. Quickly, Mildred walked back to her room seconds later, after making sure no one was coming to help Madam Agatha.

Madam Agatha’s chubby body lay on the wet marble floor of the T-end as she continued to howl like a wounded animal and no one came to her aid. They were all afraid she was up to no good. It wasn’t the first time she had put up such dramatics just to lure students to the toilet so she would exchange words with them.

Several Minutes later, One of her colleagues finally came to the toilet area and found Madam Agatha sprawled on the stairs and weeping. The cleaner who saw her in her helpless state raised an alarm, which made some girls to dash out of their rooms towards the toilet area. But when they got there, they simply watched Madam Agatha without helping her. Maybe they were really the spoilt brats Madam Agatha had deemed they were. The other cleaner pleaded with them to go get some help, but no one moved an inch. Maybe they all secretly wanted Madam Agatha to meet with an accident, and Mildred had made that dream a reality.

The Cleaner who found Madam Agatha had no choice but to rush out again to call for help since no one was helping her and she came back accompanied by the hostel porter. Madam Agatha resumed her howling in pain when she noticed she couldn’t stand up or move her legs and no one was strong enough to carry her because she was so heavy.

The few girls who were around watched from their doors as the heavy madam Agatha was hauled out like a heavy-duty truck by four hefty men, after much deliberation by the hostel authorities. She was crying profusely since her hip bone appeared to be broken… and no one knew what had happened to her.

Mildred stepped out of her room then just like everyone else, acting like the whole thing was a shock to her. But when four hefty men carrying Madam Agatha passed her door and she saw her moaning in pain, an evil sneer spread across her pretty face and she couldn’t help it. One more down! She muttered to herself.

“This is so similar to what had happened to Vivian; no one knew who the attacker was. This is so strange. Maybe there’s truly an evil, vengeful spirit lurking around the T-end.” One girl whispered to her friend as they watched Madam Agatha being carried away.

“Something spooky is happening in our hostel and I am scared. There must be something hiding in that T-end. God help us o!” The other girl’s pleading voice echoed in the hall.
Mildred chuckled to herself when she heard the girls repeat this ridiculous statement -Yes, a vengeful spirit was out and that spirit was her!

RACHEL’S CROSS: CHAPTER 26

Zinne scoffed as she watched Rachel march off, probably to speak with her father. With her lips curled up in disdain, she stared at her retreating figure. She couldn’t let an over-pampered brat cause her to lose her composure.

She had worked extremely hard to look presentable enough for Dr. mark. The slum girl was gone and in her place was a fine well-behaved lady, Zinne thought to herself, smoothening her yellow fashionable pencil gown. It was rich to touch… it was bought by Dr. Mark of course, she smiled to herself, feeling like the lady of the house.

Gradually she was gaining access into his home and his heart too… and soon she might be his wife too, who knows?

Who could have ever imagined that a slum rat like her who lived in a single room with a tiny window in a stinky neighborhood would one day be seated in a mansion? She asked herself as she took a long look at the exotic home painted in white… the furniture may have looked simple but they were stylish and definitely screamed wealth.

Finally, Zinne’s gaze rested on the picture frame of Doctor Mark, his wife and two daughters. She noticed they all looked happy in comparison to the other photo on the wall in which the wife was missing.

Lacking the energy to feel any sympathy for the family, she turned her attention back to the book. If she played her cards right, she might end up marrying the doctor. He was lonely and she was in need of a wealthy benefactor, they could complement each other. She giggled, as her eyes skimmed through the book she was only pretending to read while she waited for the doc to deal with some issues in his study.

But now his irritable daughter was here, she wondered if that wouldn’t affect their plan for the day. She slapped the book on her laps, and reached for a snack in a saucer. Munching the delicious snack, she waited eagerly for when the doctor to finish with his spoilt daughter. Peeping through the doorway, she wished she could hear what daughter and father were talking about.

Her phone rang then and she suddenly lost her cool. It was Peter… with shaky hands she silenced the call. He would probably kill her later for doing so but she couldn’t risk anyone hearing her conversation with him.
—————————————————————————————
Rachel could barely contain the rage she felt at seeing the rude strange woman in their home. Was it her father’s patient? She wondered even though she knew her father never let his patients encroach in his personal hours or business.

The image of the lady lingered in her mind. She was elegant in her yellow gown and her face was so long and expressive, almost difficult to forget.

What if her father had found someone to replace her mum? The ugly thought was stuck in her mind when she knocked on her father’s study door.

He didn’t ask her to come in before she calmly opened the door and walked in.

Even though she was furious, she would never disrespect her father, especially since she was still assuming a lot… the lady could be his patient, and she silently hoped so.

Her father was too old for her.

“Rachel… my darling, you came to see me.” Her father exclaimed with delight from where he was buried in reports and research.
.
“Come, Rachel… come in. It’s good to see you. It’s almost like it’s been an enternity since I saw you. I tried my best to hold myself from visiting your new home and it worked. I figured you needed some time to adjust to your new life” He chanted on and on, while Rachel’s face remained expressionless.

“Are you okay? Rachel… Is Maverick treating you fin…”

“I’m fine, Dad,” Rachel interrupted abruptly, “I’m sorry, I… I’ve missed you too, dad.” She smiled as she raised her eyes to meet her father’s kind eyes.

“I am truly glad you came to see me. And you look well, my dear. You look good!”

“Dad, do you care to explain who that woman in our sitting room is?” Rachel asked finally.

There was absolute silence as Dr. Mark thought of how to break the news to his daughter. He had thought hard on how to inform the two girls that he was dating someone close to their age, knowing that they would both be against it, especially Rachel who was very close to him.

“Well, Dad… I am waiting. You never bring your patients into the house. So, what’s so special about this one?”

“She’s not my patient Rachel, I mean she used to be” Dr. Mark paused to study his Daughter’s face before he said the next words.

And her eyes were slowly clouding with anger… she looked so much like her mother and that didn’t make it easy for him to say what he wanted to say. But he had to do it anyway. Since his wife’s death, he had made his daughters and work his sole focus but Zinne made him feel young, which he liked.

“Rachel” He rose from his seat and approached her as she sat stiffly waiting for his response.

“The lady is my girlfriend!”
Rachel exhaled harshly and Dr. Mark watched her calmly before continuing.

“I understand how upsetting this news might be to you but Zinne makes me feel things I haven’t felt in a long time”

“Zinne? What? Dad, she can pass for your daughter. Do you know how that makes you look? What are you doing dad? You can’t be seen dating a little girl! You are doctor Mark! You are upright and you love our mum!” Rachel snapped, bolting out of her chair.

“Rachel… I know how it seems but what I feel for her is genuine and I think I might marry her” Dr. Mark said to Rachel who was pacing around and avoiding his gaze.

“Jes…no! You cannot marry her! This whole thing is irritating to my ear. She is too young and she’s playing you!”

“Rachel” Dr. Mark growled and Rachel involuntarily shook in fear, standing still like she had just realized who she was talking to.

“I am not asking for your permission to date or marry her. I am simply telling you what I would do for my own happiness. I might be your father but I am human too and a man”

Rachel finally sat back on her seat, rocking back and forth. She just couldn’t make a meaning of what was happening. Her father was getting a new wife and her sister was after her husband. Her life was falling apart, she wrung her hands in apprehension.

“Rachel, please understand me and don’t stand in my happiness. This is not lust, I care about her. ” Her father rubbed her back. “And I would love it if you can get along with her.”

“You mean that rude opportunist sitting in our home like she owns it? Never!” She yelled at her dad.

“Rachel!” Her father snapped at her. “Do not be hostile to my visitor. This is my house and not yours!”

“Dad, how could you? Just three months and you have already replaced us. Next thing you are having babies and you would forget mum and everything we had as a family” she shook in tears.

“Rachel. That can never happen and you know it.” Her father tried to comfort her. She let him hold her for a while before slipping free.

“It’s fine. We have no choice but to accept your decision. It’s your house after all!” She slapped her hands on her body “It’s fine” she repeated, standing and walking to the door.

“Rachel… come on. You are my daughters and no one can change that!”

“It’s fine dad, I will get over it!” She said, trugding out of the door, still furious. Dr. Mark watched her go, his hands resting on his table, with his head bowed in frustration as he wondered why he let himself fall for sweet Zinne.

When Rachel got to the sitting room, she took one last look at the strange woman who was munching snacks and reading a book like she owned the house.

The anger and pain she felt from remembering what her father’s comment about the lady being his girlfriend and Maverick behavior towards Rose combined to heighten her pain.

She stormed into her car, vowing to drive far away from both homes, where no one would ever find her.

They’ve all betrayed her…

She sobbed as she drove to an unknown location.

Dad, how could you?”

She sobbed, pulling over to the side of the road to vent her rage.
He’d forgotten about their mother so quickly. It wasn’t even that long and he was already falling for some cheap little tramp!

It was late in the afternoon when she made up her mind to visit an exotic bar in their town.
She had never set foot there because she was afraid Mezie would find her.

But she didn’t care whether he did or not.

And she intended to spend her time relaxing in that bar, possibly even drinking some sweet wine.
She just needed to forget her pain.

She sat at a corner in that bar, feeling awkward that she was all alone in such a place. Her rage was gradually fading, and she felt foolish for venturing out alone.

What if Mezie showed up?
She scanned the area, thinking to herself.

She was alarmed when a strange man approached her.

“Hello, beautiful! Why are you all alone?” His husky voice filtered into her ear and she didn’t know how to react to it.

“My name is Peter” He said as he took a seat in front of her.
He had a clean, well-shaved appearance and a charming smile. He was nearly as tall as Maverick.
And Of course, he smelled good.

“Is it a crime for a lady to sit all alone? She gave him a flirtatious smile. She would show Maverick that two can play the game.

Literature/Writing Ads / She Was Sold To A Slave Trader After Her Father's Death. by ExploreFeelings(f): 6:46pm On Apr 03, 2023
Nri knew she was no longer safe in her father’s home. Yes, she could hear whispers about what would be done to her as soon as she and her mother were done mourning her father. Of course, they wouldn’t wait that long. She had to come up with a plan before her kinsmen murdered her or sold her as a slave. Her father was no more! Her mother was lost in pain and she had no one to comfort her, no one to cater to her future. She had no future here. She thought about leaving, but she couldn’t go without her mum.

Each day she tried to convince her mum to leave with her, but she was determined to mourn the man whom she loved. She didn’t know what to do about her mum. How could she not see that they were no longer welcome here, or even safe? Couldn’t she hear all the whisperings about imminent danger? How could she let her pain blind her at this moment?

Nri was pacing around her tiny room as she thought about these things. She looked through the half-open mat door then and she could see her uncles pointing at their hut to a strange man. An icy current went up and down her spine. It was just a matter of time before they killed or sold her. She shut the door and sat in a corner in fear. They knew she wasn’t her father’s daughter, though they had kept it hidden. And she knew she meant nothing to them and they had no love for her. They had merely tolerated her all these years.

“What was she going to do now?” “Should she leave without her mum? Will they kill her?” Nri looked around frantically for some signal from anyone or anything to help her make a decision. But there was nothing and no one to help her out. So, she decided then to convince her mum for the last time. If she didn’t accept, she may have to force her to go with her or leave her behind.

Frantically, she rushed to her mother’s hut and was left shocked when she found her uncle and some strange men in it. She wanted to run out, but she couldn’t leave her mum behind. She paused. Her uncles were staring at her with so much evil in their eyes. And she knew they had already planned her death or disappearance.

“It is very unacceptable for men to be in a widow’s hut! Let her mourn her husband in peace” Nri spoke with so much hurt.

“Oh! Your father is dead and your mother has mourned him long enough. No more! We have got to get to rather important subject matters,” One of her uncles said in a small voice.

He was a small man, who had moles all over his face, and he always had that wicked glint in his eyes like a greedy person who Enjoyed taking others’ things. Nri thought he was the most hideous man she had ever seen, and he was. Her wicked uncle was always the mastermind behind the conspiracy against her and her mother. And her other uncle was ever ready to execute his plans.

“Evil souls” she wanted to spit at them. But she had to hold herself in order to find out their plans for her. Her father was a wealthy man, and she knew they wanted all his wealth and land to themselves, especially since they knew he had no offspring. Her father didn’t deserve this…He had treated her with kindness, even though she wasn’t his child. Oh, how she missed…if he were here he would have dealt with her evil uncles.

Still lost in her bitter train of thoughts, Nri was jolted to reality by the strange voice she heard. It thundered from the corner where he stood and throughout the room and for a second she felt the urge to run out to safety. She, however, swallowed hard, stood her ground and stared at the giant in front of her eye to eye.

He was garbed in expensive garments and beads. He was good-looking and over-powering and Nri knew just one slap from him would send her to her early grave. How did she and her mum get here? How?

She rushed to her mum who was looking lost like her mind was gone to get her out of her miserable state. But her mum barely said a word to her, she looked at nothing as endless tears streamed down her eyes.

“Your mother is gone, her spirit has left her and all that is remaining is empty flesh. You need someone else to take care of you, and that’s what we are here for.” Her uncle said like they cared about her future.

She wanted to say something, but no words came out of her mouth. Nri silently prayed that her mum would stand up and say something. She waited for the strong woman she once knew to chase the men out of her hut. But her mum said nothing; she just leaned on the wall like a mere vegetable, like she had no life. This was it! Nri’s fate was sealed. She was going to die a slave. And no one cared… no one came to her aid… It was over for her. She wept inside.

The Secret Lives Of Dorm Girls

CHAPTER THREE

The stadium was packed with students from various schools, each hailing their own athletes as the inter-school sports competition commenced. Everyone was excited except for the schools that were losing in the competition. Gloria and her friends couldn’t sit at the Stadium stands like every normal student, not when they were seniors and the hottest and most popular girls in school.

“Girls, we can’t be here… this place is over-crowded with youngies and losers. We are too hot for this!” Goodness bragged, a frown on face as she stared at other students like she was better than them. Her friends scanned the stadium stands too with disgust on their faces before taking their leave.

The three of them walked majestically towards the back of the stadium. All eyes were on them as they cat-walked away from the stands, and that was when Gloria noticed Anna, the silly junior she had punished, staring at her with a judgey expression. She had given her such an evil stare that she would never, ever think of staring at her like that in her life. Even though Gloria was confident she had instilled fear in the junior, she was still scared the silly junior wouldn’t be able to keep her mouth shut. Gloria bit her lips as she thought about what her mum would do to her if she found about the immoral things she had done. Her mum would make her life a living hell. Her mum was so strict that Gloria believed she was wicked. She prayed silently that her mum would never find out.

She tore her thought away from her very strict mum and focused on where they were headed…. the back of the stadium where all the real fun stuff was happening. The wildest and hottest girls often met at the back of the stadium where they could chat freely with each other and even do some nasty stuff away from the supervision of their teachers. Gloria and her friends took their seats and scanned the area for cute boys who would hang out with them. They were so many hot girls and handsome guys that Gloria started feeling out of place because she looked too modest to be there. Most of the guys were seductively eyeing her friends, but not her.

Gloria watched Edith as she glittered in her make-up and well-fitted skirt and she felt even more jealousy of her.

“I wonder where your so-called boyfriend is? I mean, shouldn’t he be with you now?” Gloria asked, just to annoy Edith.

“I am looking for him. I’m sure if he sees me, he won’t hesitate to come to me. I am his girlfriend, after all.” Edith hissed before giving her friend a fake smile.

Gloria was also looking around in search of Clinton for reasons best known to her. Yes, she wanted that fight between Edith and St. Monica Girls to happen more than anything. Her stupid friend needed to suffer for ever accepting Clinton’s proposal.

Edith was also searching all over the stadium for Clinton just to make her friend jealous that she had the Most Wanted Boy in the entire school as her boyfriend. All around the back of the stadium, senior students from different schools were standing in groups of five, three or coupled up chatting. Most couples were either holding hands or kissing and handling each other. It was the back of the stadium and students could do whatever they wanted here. As Edith watched different couples making out, she prayed silently not to see Clinton handling any girl… she didn’t have the strength nor the desire to fight any girl. When she told her friends she would fight over Clinton, she had just been making mouth.

Gloria was the first to see Clinton entangled in a hug with a pretty girl in a St. Monica uniform. And a smile spread all over her face as she envisioned the drama that will ensue as soon as she told Edith what she had seen.

Edith was suddenly angry when her friend whispered in her ear and pointed to Clinton. He was in a corner kissing a girl. Edith’s hands shook as she thought about storming off and dragging the girl off Clinton.

“Don’t do anything stupid. He’s not worth it! There are other cute guys here.” Goodness whispered to her.

“I thought you said you will fight St. Monica Girls if you saw any of them with your boyfriend. Can’t you see one of them kissing your boyfriend? Didn’t you say you will pluck out their eyes?” Gloria shouted because she wanted the fight to happen by all means.

Everyone around suddenly turned their attention to Edith, and a few St. Monica Students stepped out and stood in front of Edith. Gloria backed away because she had no intention of getting entangled in all the mess that was about to start.

“You said what?” One huge St. Monica Girl asked. “So you think, you stupid, ugly ass can compete against my school? You think you can fight us?”

“Why not? You think because you are fat and useless, I will be scared of you?” Edith challenged her, suddenly eager to fight just to abate her anger.

“I will so beat you till your mother won’t recognize you. Girls, she has no idea who she is talking to. Ask about Hefty Diana. I will beat you to a pulp.” The huge girl bragged, stepping closer to Edith and looking at her eye to eye.

“Oh, please! Your breath stinks!” Edith waved her hands in front of the huge girl and the huge girl immediately caught her hands and twisted them. Edith yelped in pain.

“Stop it!” Goodness yelled, as she joined in the fight.

All around was pandemonium as a serious fight broke out. St. Monica Girls Vs Bishop Evangelical college Girls fought while others hailed them. Gloria was behind the crowd, watching it all and enjoying every aspect of it. Edith would surely get the beating of her life. She giggled. But she wanted more. So, she whispered to one of the girls in the crowd to record the fight.

“Do you have a phone? You should record it and sell it to bloggers.” She whispered to the girl, who nodded and smiled in agreement. Gloria wanted her friend to be in deeper shit than she could handle.

Clinton was making his way out of the crowd when he saw Gloria. He couldn’t be part of such a stupid fight. Gloria walked off to a dark area when she saw Clinton headed her way. She was acting angry, hoping that Clinton would follow her, which he did.

--------------------------------------------

“Our seniors and St. Monica Girls are fighting, come and see…” One of the female students screamed in excitement into the stadium stand packed with Bishop Evangelical College students. Some students rushed out with her towards the back of the stadium to watch the fight of the year. Some other stayed back because they didn’t want to get involved in case there was a mass punishment later. Anna was part of those who didn’t want to go… for once, she was able to control her curiosity.

“Let’s go and see. We can’t miss the biggest fight of all time. Let’s go!” Sylvia pleaded with a reluctant Anna.

The same girl who had announced the fight came rushing back to the stands, laughing and clapping her hands in excitement.

“Guess why they are fighting? They are fighting over a boy. I think it’s Clinton.” she blurted out before rushing off again.

“What? Why? I… Anna, please let’s go! But they can’t be fighting over Clinton. He’s my boyfriend now.” Sylvia muttered, looking sad as they both walked towards the back of the stadium, which was strictly prohibited for juniors.

“Why can’t they fight over him? Because he is married to you? Sylvia, you are getting yourself into a deep problem by having anything to do with that womanizer. That snake!” Anna warned.

“Why would you say that about him? What has he ever done to you?” Sylvia asked in a sad voice.

“Look, he did nothing to me… I just think you shouldn’t be dating a senior!”

“But he likes me and I like him too.” Sylvia confessed.

Anna rolled her eyes at her friend, wanting to tell her about Senior Gloria and Clinton’s illicit affair. But as they got closer to where the fight was happening, they both lost their attention to the fight. They watched as a huge St. Monica Girl held one of their seniors by her collar. The senior’s face was squeezed in pain, like she couldn’t breathe. Some seniors in the crowd were pleading with the huge girl to let her go while others encouraged her to beat senior Edith.

“Isn’t that senior Edith, senior Gloria’s friend? Why would she be fighting over a boy like a mannerless person? I thought she was better than this.” Sylvia asked in a disgusted tone,

“This is really bad, if any teacher catches her, they may expel her…” Anna said, feeling sorry for the fragile senior Edith, who was struggling to free herself from the tight grasp of the huge girl. Suddenly, Edith got a chance to slap the huge St. Monica girl. And out of anger, the huge girl tore her school top. Her top ripped open while the crowd went wild with excitement as Gloria’s fancy bra was exposed to everyone. She was crying as she tried to cover up, while her friend tried to help. Everyone was staring at her…

“This is crazy… we have to get out of here before we get implicated.” Anna said, dragging her friend who was lost watching the fight.

“Look, someone is recording her… This is too much. She will be expelled.” Sylvia exclaimed, still watching the fight.

Anna followed the direction of her friend’s eyes and noticed that someone from another school was recording senior Edith.

“That person recording her it’s not from our school. I wonder what she would gain if they expel senior Edith. Let’s get out of here before our faces are captured in it. ” Anna grabbed her friend.

“Look, I need to tell you something about Senior Clinton and …” Anna could hardly finish her sentence when she saw Senior Gloria coming out of a door, adjusting her skirt and tie. And Clinton was right behind her.

“Let’s get out of here!” Anna yelled before dragging her friend with her out of the fight scene.

Goodness dragged her half-naked friend away from the crazy crowd, feeling really bad for how everything had escalated. She took her to a small room at the back of the stadium and shut the door. And that was when Gloria saw them. She giggled because her plan had worked before heading to the room she had seen them enter to act like she cared.

“Where were you Gloria when your friend was being torn apart by a crazy St. Monica girl? Where were you?” Goodness asked her as soon as she stepped into the room.

“I told you girls I can’t be part of such a fight. I am the Deaconess’ daughter, remember? And I wanted to help, but the fight was too wild. I’m so sorry Edith. You don’t deserve this.” Gloria said, patting her sad friend on the back.

“Let’s just hope none of the Bishop Evangelical Students who watched the fight won’t have the courage to report to the proprietress. It will be like it never happened. Don’t cry any more, Edith. We just need to get you a shirt.” Goodness proclaimed hopefully .

” I saw someone recording everything, from the beginning to the end of the fight. That senior is really in deep trouble. I’m sure it will be all over the internet soon. I feel sorry for her,” someone announced from outside the door. Edith broke down as she heard that. Goodness tried consoling her while Gloria smiled to herself. She was such an evil genius.

“Can you get her a shirt?” Goodness asked Gloria.

“Yes of course!” Gloria answered before bouncing off, happy that her plan had worked. Her mum won’t hesitate in expelling someone who had brought so much shame to her school. Edith will be expelled from Bishop Evangelical College and Clinton will be hers alone and her secret affair with him will be safe.

“As long as that little youngie keeps the secret to herself!” Gloria muttered, suddenly angry that the junior had caught her in such an awkward position with Clinton. “I will make her life a living hell if she dares tell anyone about that night. I promise!”

Romance / My Friend Set Me Up With A Guy At A Party And I Almost Got Raped. by ExploreFeelings(f): 11:09am On Mar 31, 2023
CHAPTER 20: I AM UGLY

The party — young people drinking, smoking, dancing and rocking each other in a small room that had a dim red light. They held it in a guy’s house, which made it even more distasteful for Mildred. Why did she agree to attend a party so late in the evening? The party venue was a well-arranged sitting room and well-furnished for just a student’s home.

Nevertheless, it was still crowded, more than 20 people cramped up in a little space, and the loudness of the music was unbearable for Mildred. But what was most unbearable was the way the guys looked at her, and her dress even made her situation worse. It was too tight and boobs were almost popping out of it. She hated the way she was dressed and the way they looked at her. It reminded her of her cousin’s boyfriends who…

“Cheer up, it’s a party. You are going to scare the guys away if you keep frowning.” Sylvia stated in a loud voice as she dragged her to the centre of the room.

” I told you I hated parties, I want to leave soon. I can’t stay here anymore”

“You are funny, the party just started… so stop acting like a child and drink, dance and have fun with the guys! Okay?”

“I said I want to leave. I don’t like it here. Are you not listening to me?”

“Relax, Mildred. Stop acting like a naïve little girl. Gosh!. Let’s dance… come on. Free yourself up. Stop being so uptight!”

So many eyes turned towards her as Sylvia forced her to dance. Sylvia was wearing a bum short, high-heeled leather boots, and a top that was more of an underwear than a top. Her shiny cloth and Sylvia’s skimpy outfit made it hard for them not to be noticed even in a crowded place. Soon enough, more than 3 boys were all over her and Sylvia had magically disappeared; she wanted to panic. She hated all of this… she wanted to be in her hostel catching up with Gift, not here. Most of the guys were smoking or gulping down a pill or two and Sylvia was having a great time smoking with them and wiggling her bum on almost every guy on the dance floor.

The guys eyed her and she noticed they appeared to be older than her. And she knew then and there that coming to the party was a terrible idea. This life wasn’t for her. Her panic was increasing. She dashed out of the room to get some fresh air escaping from the mingling scents of 20 people smoking and drinking in a room, only to be accosted by a guy who had been staring at her earlier on.

“Pretty, The party just started. Where are you headed?” He asked in a really slow voice. He appeared to be half-awake and Mildred was certain he was on pills like the rest.

“Look, I don’t know you, so you don’t get to ask me dumb questions. Let me pass.” She responded angrily, feeling trapped.

“Really? Well, since you are headed nowhere, you need to go back to the party. We need more girls to come to the party and not leave. So, you are going nowhere!” He raised his eyebrows and Mildred could see he was very much awake and could harm her. He grabbed her by her hands, and dragged her into the party room as she struggled against him.

“Leave me alone!” She grunted.

“Shut up! Now, you must dance with me whether you like it or not. Let me feel your soft beautiful body on me. Has anyone told you that you are very pretty? Oh… here, no one cares here because we all just want girls. I guess I’m lucky I found a pretty one.” He whispered to her as he held her tightly on her waist while the other guys hailed him.

His rigid body rubbed against hers. He held her so tight that she could feel his breath and other parts of him she never wanted to touch her ever again. Mildred felt ashamed of herself. It was happening all over again, and this time, she still couldn’t save herself. And It was all because of Sylvia. As she endured the harassment, she searched all around for Sylvia and she was nowhere to be found. Has Sylvia left her in this lion’s den? Why? She thought they were friends, but alas, she has broken “The Girl” code again.

As the mysterious guy kept on grinding his manhood against her bum Mildred thought about how Sylvia had abandoned. She didn’t move and couldn’t move. All she wanted was for the ground to open up and swallow her. It was all too much for her, having bodily contact with a guy… she could barely breathe as her panic rose.

Through half-closed eyes, she saw that other guys wanted to dance with her, too. They were pleading with him to let them dance with her and he told them to wait for their turn, like he was in charge of her body and could do whatever he wanted with it.

“You are mine to do whatever I want. Are you not enjoying dancing with me?” He whispered in her ears and his words echoed in her head.
She wasn’t the only girl on the dance floor, but she was the only unwilling one. The number of girls there was very few, while the guys were twice the number of girls. Mildred figured out then why Sylvia had desperately wanted her to come.

From the conversations going on around, she understood that the party was exclusive to a certain group of boys. She didn’t know what they were called, but she had a feeling she was in a cult party. The way they greeted each other, the kind of songs they played and the occasional display of violence made her believe so.

One of the boys could drag any girl into the room any time he wanted. She could hear screams of reluctant girls being dragged into the dark rooms and she was afraid her own time would come. She was trembling as her stiff body stayed glued to the body of the strange guy she was dancing with.
But the school had banned cult activities on campus. How did these guys manage to continue with perpetrating their evil? The answer to that question wasn’t her problem. Her problem was how to get out of the disgusting situations she found herself in.

Different guys were dancing with her now, grubbing her breast and pressing their manhood on her behind. She hadn’t even noticed when they switched with the other guy. But she hated it all… she felt sick… the smoke, the confinement of the room all made feel sick and used. She had to get out somehow. But how? She cried silently in her head while trying so hard to keep a plain face.

A tall calm looking guy whispered to the guy who was dancing with her and soon they swapped places. The new guy was now dancing with her but he wasn’t harassing her like the others did. And he didn’t let any other guy come close to her and she had enough breathing space to think. He turned her face to his, and touched her cheek slightly like they were old-time lovers. She didn’t know why he was more interested in her face than her body, unlike the other guys.

“Are you okay? You look scared? Why are you here if you know you are not the sort of girl for wild parties like this? The harassment will get worse as time goes on. They are just getting started. Why are you here if you are afraid?”

Mildred stared at his dazzling eyes for a while, unable to answer. She thought she would throw up if she tried to say a word. Her head was feeling light, and she needed to get out.

“Please, I just want to go home, please I beg you.” She pleaded with him. He could see she was really frightened and tired, and he was touched by her helplessness.

Stylishly, he took her outside the party room, all the while pretending like he was going to take her to his room. He didn’t want the others to know he was taking a girl out of the party when they all desperately wanted more girls. Other guys didn’t notice since they were watching others break bottles and dance around in circles and enjoying themselves. And the guy who had forced her to dance was nowhere to be found, just like Sylvia.

Ken looked around the disturbing party with bottles scattered all around, blaring music, laughter and violence. And the party was so creepy for someone like him who happened to be there by accident. He tried to play along but if he didn’t leave soon enough they would find out he wasn’t a cult member.

So, he took Mildred outside before the party got even messier. Her hands clasped his tightly and he felt really bad for her. “ What was she doing here?” He wanted to ask again but he didn’t. They had to leave soon… there was no time for questions.

When they stepped outside, Mildred was enveloped in darkness and awkward silence. She was in an unfamiliar part of the school with a strange guy, Mildred’s frightened mind reminded her. She walked reluctantly beside him in the dark because he was her only ticket out of the party even though she wanted to bolt.

“It was already very late and soon the hostels will be locked. She couldn’t afford to sleep outside” The troubling thoughts disturbed her, she shivered then, and he placed his masculine warm hand on her back. She wanted to push his hand off, but his words made her feel safe.

“I have no intention of harming you. I promise. I don’t know what you have been through in the past, but not every man is a beast. I will make sure you get to your hostel safely. Trust me.”

That assurance from a strange guy almost changed the way she thought about men. But no, they could never be trusted. She still had her doubts about men, so she shrugged his hand off her back calmly. He was still a strange man in a quiet strange place and she couldn’t afford to provoke him.

“Why did you attend this kind of party? Don’t you know what happens at these kinds of parties?” His rich baritone voice jerked Mildred’s attention to him. But she said nothing in reply to the question and he didn’t any questions again.

They walked silently out of the area, which was in a remote place. There were no cabs and people strolling around at that hour and Mildred was afraid… What if her good Samaritan decides to hurt her? But he did nothing of that sort. He simply escorted her until they got to a major road leading to her hostel, his hands in his pockets as his eyes combed the whole area to ensure there was no danger awaiting them.

When they got a major road, he immediately called a cab for her and it took her back to her hostel. Before he let her go, they stared at each other for a while, and the strange connection between them was undeniable. Mildred had never felt so safe with anyone. She had never looked into any man’s eyes as she looked into his. On her way to her room, she remembered how softly he spoke to her and how handsome he was.

“Stay safe” He had said to her as his eyes smiled at her. Her heart fluttered as she remembered the way he had looked at her on the dance floor like he was in love with her. “love at first sight?… No way!” She laughed at herself.

But, still she wondered why he had helped her. Was he not a cultist like the rest of them? Why was he kind to her? And Why did she feel like she would love to see him again?

But she soon forgot about his kindness when she remembered Sylvia and how she had abandoned her in the lion’s den, how she had taken her to the most dangerous of all parties and left her all alone? Sylvia must pay for this… She wanted more than anything to see Sylvia on the floor begging for her mercy while she stood tall in front of her, her eyes glittering in anger. That was all she dreamt about when she slept that night… vengeance.

Romance / My Husband Is In Love With My Younger Sis. What Do I Do? by ExploreFeelings(f): 10:12am On Mar 31, 2023
“———————————-
Rachel stabbed her food angrily as she listened to Maverick and Rose dominate the conversation over dinner. Their usual dinner which was filled with both of them talking about their childhood and random experiences was now replaced by Rose’s noisy laughter and silly stories. Rose giggled louder then and Rachel stabbed her food harder.

But none of them took notice of her as Rose continued telling Maverick stories about school, he laughed heartily and it was just too obvious that he was glad Rose was there.

“So, this my friend has been disturbing us to come visit her in their home, yeah… and I am not a fan of visiting people’s home. But after so much disturbance we decided to surprise her. So this very day, I and my three friends decided to pay her a surprise visit after we openly told her we couldn’t come. But, look we had no idea they had this mighty dog in their home” Rose’s bubbly voice filled the dining room while Maverick watched her keenly.

And occasionally his gaze rested on large breasts and her pretty face.
Rachel’s clenched her jaw, unable to eat her food as she watched them with a glowering look on her face. She had slowly turned into a bitter jealous soul and she hated herself for it. But no matter how hard she tried she couldn’t get herself to ignore what was happening in front of her or stop her heart from pounding in anger and pain.

“And then we got there, knocked on the door and there was this thunderous barking from their mighty dog and no one told us to run back and dial our friend’s number. After we called her, she opened the gate and there was the hefty dog watching us and she told us to come in and that it was harmless. I said no no… I can’t sign my death warranty by walking into this lion’s den. One of my friends stayed back with me but the other one insisted on going and when she got into the gate, the door bared its teeth and growled so loudly that she ran out and sped past us” Rose said in between laughter.

Maverick laughed even louder, unknowingly hitting his hands on the table. And that was enough for Rachel, she pushed her seat aside and walked away from dinner.

Maverick and Rose watched her go and Maverick didn’t know what to make of her awkward behavior.

Rachel couldn’t endure one more moment in the presence of the annoying lovebirds. She was burning in anger as she paced around her room. This wasn’t her, she told herself. When did she become so jealous and bitter? Towards her own sister? But why was Maverick staring at Rose like he had never seen a woman before?
She sat on her bed to think until Maverick came knocking. She opened the door and asked

“What do you want? Are you done having a great time with Rose?”

“Rachel, what’s wrong with you? Rose is your sister!”

“And the woman you have always wanted. You never wanted me! I was forced on you, wasn’t I? So, why are we even pretending you care about how I feel? Go and enjoy yourself with Rose. She is finally here, go feast on her!”

“You are yelling and she may hear. You don’t want her feeling uncomfortable in her own sister’s home. This is insane! You are behaving like a silly child who can’t get over the fact that her sister wants to share her doll with her.”

“A doll? What? Are you trying to say you want us to share you?”

“No, that’s not what I mean. I am only saying that you are acting that way.”

“And how have you been acting since you saw Rose? How? Like some lost puppy, staring at her like you have never seen her before. Gosh! I can’t believe we are talking about this. Maverick please, just leave my room, please. I need to be alone and control this stupid thing I feel.”

“Rachel…” Maverick said in a low voice, going to her to touch her but she moved away and said.

“Please just go away! I don’t need this now!” and he had no choice but to go to his own room.

When he left, Rachel couldn’t go to sleep. She tossed and turned in her bed restlessly as she tried really hard not to let her anger consume. It took a very long time before she could get herself to fall asleep, with a heavy heart.

The sun was barely up when her eyes opened but the weak rays somehow found their way into her room to disturb her sleep. She woke up to the sound of chattering and laughter. Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she tried to make sense of what was happening in her home. Yet again, she heard Rose’s bubbly laughter and that was the last stroke that broke the Carmel’s back.

Forcefully, she dragged her door open and walked to the sitting room. However, when she got to the doorway she paused to observe Maverick and Rose. They both had no idea she was there. And even though their conversation was totally harmless, the look Maverick gave Rose wasn’t.

He had that same longing look in his eyes as he watched her lips move as she spoke, his gaze moving through every inch of her body…
He desired her.

And it made Rachel’s heart squeeze in pain.

Marching back to her room, she took off her nightdress and jumped into the bathtub where she furiously scrubbed off her anger until it was replaced by indifference. In that pool of warm water, she cried out her frustration and came out feeling nothing at all as she made up her mind to go visit her father.

They were both still laughing and chatting when she entered the sitting room all dressed up. Maverick saw her first and he had a guilty look on his face as if he had been caught doing something bad.

“How are you, Rachel. Where are you off to?” Rose asked but Rachel simply nodded as she made her way to her car.

Maverick hurried behind her.
“Rachel, where are you off to so early?” But he was greeted by silence as she walked majestically to her car.

“Rachel” he called out again as she got into her car and banged the door.

“Rachel” he came to her window and she rolled down the glass.

“I am going to see my father. Don’t worry about me. Enjoy your home!”
She wound the window up and drove away.

Maverick felt so guilty as he watched her drive off and he was extremely uncomfortable that Rachel left him all alone with Rose. He couldn’t deny he wanted Rose and being alone with her in the house was a very bad idea. He hurried into the house towards his room, ignoring Rose.

“Maverick, where’s Rachel?”
He said nothing as he ran into his room, locked the door and got ready to leave the house before he did something he would regret.
——————————————————————————–
Rachel wasn’t angry when she drove into her father’s compound. The short ride had somehow helped her to calm her sour feelings and now what she felt was silly for being so jealous…

“Gosh, what is wrong with me?” She muttered to herself, taking her time to calm herself before going to see her father.
She hadn’t seen him in three months.

And she had done it on purpose, despite the fact that they lived close enough for a daily visit, to show him she was strong enough to care for herself.

But now she was here to see him, she was happy and just wanted to cry to him. But telling him about Rose and Maverick would be a silly thing to do, she reasoned as she knocked on the door. The housekeeper opened the door with a welcoming smile on her face.

“Where is my dad?” Rachel asked as she walked into the place which used to be her place of safety.

She felt nostalgic as she looked around only for her to see a strange woman sitting with her legs crossed in their sitting room. And she was reading their father’s favorite book.

“Who are you?” Rachel asked, suddenly furious that her father had let a stranger into their home.
The woman lowered her book, and gave her a cursory look without answering or acknowledging her.

“I said who are you?”

Romance / Have You Ever Read The Love Story Of The God Of Thunder? by ExploreFeelings(f): 5:51pm On Mar 30, 2023
They woke up to a quaking sound and howling noise that sounded like that of an angry animal. Nri’s head ached as she hurried up to wake Amadi from his slumber so they could escape to safety together. But the ground where Amadi had slept last night was empty.

“Where had he gone?” Nri asked in Panic. She looked around the cave only to find him standing at the entrance summoning his powers and speaking to himself strangely. He looked back at her and his eyes sparked with lightning before he set off, leaving her in the cave.

Nri rushed after Amadi as her heart beat erratically. He was finally getting rid of her, wasn’t he? She asked herself as she rushed into the early morning after him. But the atmosphere was covered in dark clouds and lightning and for the first time she was truly afraid of Amadi. He was truly a strange man… But she was also a strange girl, cause as she stood there in the clouds, her father’s ghost came to her. Yes, now more than ever she knew the apparition was her father. He directed her as she walked through the storm to fulfill her destiny…

—————————————————————————————————-

Amadi was no longer an ordinary man, he could feel the tremendous power surging through his every fibre. Thoughts of Nri and Olanma were well behind him, he couldn’t be an extra-ordinary man if women still made him weak. Last night while others slept, he had taken the final step into becoming a god on earth. He had watched from a distance as his old self was ripped away from his new form, and his love for Nri with it.

Now, in his full powerful form the attacker sent by the queen was no match for him. He was no longer a vulnerable or angry man like he had been weeks ago. He was free of any emotions or fears that could stop him from defeating his attacker. As he approached Nza, his clenched fist sparkled with lightning bolts.

Nza wasn’t afraid of the man who was approaching him even though his eyes were white like that of a dead person walking the surface of the earth and his hands glittered with lightning.

With every step he took, Nza’s men took backward steps, but Nza wasn’t an ordinary man and couldn’t possibly be afraid of any creature that walked the surface of the earth. He had been fortified by the queen and he wasn’t going to back down till his enemy was defeated and Nri was his…

He had barely finished his sentence when a lightning bolt struck him, it pushed him miles away from where he stood. It took him a moment to recover himself after the sudden fall, he was furious and stood yet again to challenge Amadi but before he could make a move he was thrown again on the floor by a lightning bolt.

The current shook him violently and he could feel the queen’s powers leaving him. He felt weak just like an ordinary man, as he inhaled and exhaled heavily.

“I am Nza from Akubata, fortified by the Queen of Ala and no man born of a woman can take me down” He howled as he stood on shaky feet, his hands in mid-air strangling Amadi.

Amadi could barely breathe as Nza choked the life out of him from where he stood. But he didn’t let that stop him as he remembered his dream as a child and all the voices in his head reminded him was the god of thunder.

With that echoing in his head even as Nza strangled him, he stamped his foot on the earth and it shook violently and threw Nza onto a tree and he fell on the floor with blood pouring out his mouth. The new men beside him were nowhere to be found. Nza tried standing on his feet again but there was a shadow cast over him and when he looked up he saw the eyes of a dead man, the eyes of the man who had defeated him.

He tried to plead for his life but before he could say a word, he received a heavy blow that shut him up forever.

After the last blow he gave the giant, Amadi seemed to recover his original self and for a while he wondered where he was and where Nri was. He was still lost in his thought when he heard the slashing of swords and screaming of warriors. It was just behind the big tree where he was standing. And as he peered through it, he could see one man fighting four men. He was afraid for the man and also amazed at his skills, there was only one man who he knew was that good…Onye

And it was Onye indeed, Amadi realized this when The man turned his face towards him as he continued to fend off his attackers. Amadi had no choice but to rush into the battle to save his friends. He needed no sword, with his bare hands he was able to defeat three men while his friend killed the remaining one. After the fight, they shook hands like comrades they were.

“I have missed this,my friend. I have for so long desired to have my brother by my side. All those nights you were away, I prayed day and night to the gods that one day I would fight beside you again,” Onye confessed as they rested behind the tree.

Amadi had nothing to say. The past was in the past…His mission now was to save Ala kingdom from the hands of Olanma. There was no time for slumber, he stood up and dusted off his clothes.

“There’s no time for confessions, no time for reminiscing, we have a mission to accomplish. It is time to take back Ala”

Onye could see that something had changed about Amadi… But he hoped he hadn’t totally lost his friend.

“But, what about the woman who was with you, did you leave her behind?”

Amadi said nothing, he simply strolled towards the beginning of the forest, where he would find the entrance into Ala Kingdom. The time is now! Onye had no choice but to follow his strange friend into the kingdom. He hadn’t even gotten the chance to tell him that his sister was imprisoned and the only way he was going to get her freed was if he brought his friend’s head back. He wondered if his friend would ever trust him again if he told him that truth…

———————————————————————————————————————

Olanma knew Amadi was coming for her, he was finally coming back to take back what rightfully belonged to him. She knew that too well. When he defeated the man she sent after him, that was when it became obvious she was dealing with no ordinary man and even more obvious that he was coming for her. He probably felt he was invisible but he had no idea the kind of powerful woman he was dealing with.

The dark cloud foretold the imminent danger and destruction that was coming to Ala Kingdom. But Olanma was not afraid, she had her mother the greatest witch in existence at that time as her ally.

She couldn’t possibly defeat Amadi alone but with her mother beside her, she was sure doing so would be like an ant wrestling with an elephant. She had been in her room all alone for days, no one was allowed to see her. In there, she communicated with her mum seated in the center of burning lanterns and muttering strange words which were familiar to her.

This very day as she continued her incantation and without saying many words, her mother appeared and entered Olanma’s body. Only then did Olanma stand up with the lanterns floating around her. She opened her eyes then, and it was burning with fire.

She walked slowly to take water from her earthen pot, which she used to wash her face before changing her attire to a brighter color. It is time to face Amadi, the god of thunder now!

The Secret Lives Of Dorm Girls

CHAPTER 10

Sylvia’s heart was beating fast as she sat in the big hall during night class pretending to read. Read? Of course not! She couldn’t get herself to read a word on her English Textbook. Not when her whole thought was about meeting Senior Clinton later that night. She felt a mixture of fear and excitement as she thought about venturing into the dark to meet the senior she loved while other students were attending night class.

Absentmindedly, she smacked her glossy lips to make sure it was still in place. She had taken so much time in decorating her lips by spilling almost half the content of her lip-gloss. Her lips were so shiny, it was the first thing anyone would notice when they looked at her. And she did it all to impress senior Clinton.

Mrs. Gracious was still wide awake, moving from desk to desk to make sure everyone was reading. And Sylvia was growing more restless as she waited impatiently for Mrs. Gracious and the other teachers in charge to sleep off or get distracted. Leaving the reading hall was often easy since there were just three teachers monitoring the entire junior classes. People often snuck out to secretly hang out with their boyfriends or do some other stuff prohibited by the school. But sometimes some of those students were caught by Mrs. Gracious or other teachers and were severely punished after. And Sylvia didn’t want to be caught, which was why Sylvia took her time observing their teachers. And when she got her chance, she escaped from the hall into the eerie night.

Anna had noticed how nervous her friend was and how her little eyes darted around the hall like she was in search of something. She had no idea why her friend was acting so strange and she didn’t ask. She was not yet ready to talk to her friend. Anna was still wondering why Sylvia was acting strange when she saw her running off into the dark night.

Why would anyone want to do anything as reckless as sneaking off into the empty scary school compound? Anna mused as she wondered why Sylvia was acting so foolish. Looking through the door into the darkness outside, she shook in fear as she remembered the night Senior Pablo and his friends accosted her. It had been one terrifying experience. And since that night, she had promised herself never to venture into the dark school compound alone, for fear of the unknown. Turning her attention to her book, she silently prayed for her friend’s safety.

Sylvia didn’t know what gave her the courage to sneak out of the reading room or what kept her moving through the dim school compound towards the back of the boys’ hostel. She wasn’t a rebellious student, but tonight she was ready to be bad for Senior Clinton. He was in love with her… the letter had clearly stated it… He was in love with her and couldn’t stop thinking about her… Sylvia smiled, feeling warm despite the cold of the night.

The night was so quiet she could only hear crickets chirping. No students were outside chatting or hiding from the teachers, not even one soul was outside! And that was super scary… But she kept on moving. At a point she stopped wondering if she should go back and disappoint senior Clinton yet again. No! She told herself as she willed her legs to keep moving. She wanted to hear him profess his love for her face to face! It would be so delightful. She giggled a bit before closing her mouth to stop the sound from escaping into the silent night.

Once at the back of the boys’ hostel, she sat on top of an abandoned desk close to a gigantic tree, waiting for her lover. Though it was well-hidden, she still wasn’t completely comfortable defiling the school rule. She looked around fearfully, praying no one would find them in that hidden place.

Her heart tumbled when she sighted Clinton walking in her direction. A mixture of excitement and anticipation overtook her, making her smile nervously.

“Senior Clinton, my love.” She whispered to herself as she watched his tall, attractive figure strutting closer to her. His light skin shining even in the dark night. She bit her lips nervously when he reached and sat close to her, staring directly into her pretty face. His unique and rich cologne making her brain dance with pleasure.

“You came… I was hoping you wouldn’t disappoint me.” Clinton’s baritone voice rang into the quiet night.

“Yes, I came. Why would I disappoint you? I read your letter.” Sylvia said bashfully.

“Did you mean all those beautiful words you said to me? You… feel those things for me?” She asked, waiting to hear him confess his love for her.

Clinton merely scrutinized her, noticing her shiny lips and the shy way she was looking at him, feeling sorry for her for ever thinking he was the type to do foolish things like falling in love. No… not a Bernard! A Bernard could never fall in love. That much his father had taught him after his useless mum had left them.

“Tell me, do you like me? How did you feel when you read my letter? Did you feel like kissing me?” He asked, in a seductive voice, squinting his eyes in a way that made him look cute, like a cat, as he continued to stare at Sylvia.

“I… like you. That’s why I came.” Sylvia confessed, wringing her hands nervously.

“When you read my letter, it made you feel like kissing and hugging me, right?” Clinton repeated his question while Sylvia smiled bashfully, unable to look into his eyes.

Clinton was enjoying their flirtations a bit more than he should have. Somehow he wished he could stop what was about to happen to innocent Sylvia, but the plans were already in motion. Sylvia must learn a lesson about playing with fire.

“So, that means you are ready to do what boyfriends and girlfriends do? Right? If you like me, that means you are ready for sexual intercourse with me tonight.” He asked blatantly, like it meant nothing.

Sylvia’s eyes widened at that shocking question because the night was suddenly taking a different turn. She hadn’t expected senior Clinton to be so straightforward! To be so deceitful!

“What? Here?.. I thought you wanted to tell me how much you loved me. To maybe hold me and make me feel loved.” Sylvia muttered, sounding foolish in her own ears. Clinton said nothing.

Still in shock about what senior Clinton had asked, Sylvia didn’t notice when he moved closer and grabbed her waist and slim neck as he forced unwanted kisses on her glossy lips. His hands moving eagerly all over her body, alarming Sylvia. Sylvia tried to push him off but he wouldn’t budge and the whole thing was overwhelming for her.

“Wait! Senior Clinton… is this why you wanted to meet with me? I thought you cared about me… you said you loved me, but you are only interested in doing nonsense with my body.” Sylvia asked, feeling flustered by the unexpected kiss and invading hands of senior Clinton. “I can’t believe this is the reason you asked me to meet you here”

“What do you think people in love do? You silly girl, you better relax. What did you think was going to happen when you agreed to meeting a boy in the dark?” Senior Clinton snapped at her, gritting his teeth in anger, as he let her go.

Clinton’s handsome face suddenly changed to a brutal one and fear swept over Sylvia like a gush of wind, and left her wondering what she was doing in the dark with a boy. She could get expelled if someone saw them… or hurt, Anna would have advised her against. This is wrong and unsafe! Just like Stanley said… Clinton was bad, just like Stanley had said, she told herself as she stood up to leave before things got worse.

“I can’t do this. This is not love! This is wrong! You are a liar! You want something else and I am not ready for it. I need to go back to the reading room. Someone might catch us.” She said in apprehension, suddenly coming to her senses.

“So, now you want to go? Just like that? This is not the first or second time you have belittled me. I start something with you and you run off every time. Do you know how it makes me feel? I am not a toy you can mess with. I took my time to plan this night and you can’t run off without doing what I want like I am those idiotic boys in your class that you play with. Don’t you know who I am?” Clinton asked, raising his voice while Sylvia trembled.

“ Senior, I’m sorry. I’m just scared. So sorry, but we can talk about this during the daytime. Right now, I need to go. Sorry!” Sylvia mumbled as she turned to run back to the reading room.

Three guys were suddenly in her path and she had no idea where they had appeared from. Nervously scanning the not-so-familiar faces of the boys, she finally recognized the notorious Pablo and her poor heart started pounding really hard. Everyone in school knew how heartless Pablo was, and there were rumors that he was a leader of a secret gang in school.

Scared and uncertain about what to do next or where to run to, she ran towards senior Clinton, hoping he would save her from them. But he was staring at her with a vicious look that marred his handsome face, making him appear as evil as Pablo.

“All these little girls don’t ever listen when they are told not to step their stupid legs out of the dorm room at night. They feel they are sleek and hot, and can do whatever they want. They don’t know Pablo is on the watch waiting for when he will pounce on them.” Pablo said menacingly, his enormous eyes on his massive head widening, while the other boys circled a scared Sylvia. Sylvia couldn’t stop herself from shaking visibly as she watched Vicious Pablo. Everything about him was scary, from his stocky body, big-boned hands and legs, big head to his scary voice that sounded like that of Chucky. She was in deep trouble!

“Senior please, I didn’t know… I won’t come out…” Sylvia pleaded before Pablo cut her short

“Shut up, Youngie… Who asked you for stupid explanations? See, there is a reason you guys are called youngie. It’s because you are all brainless like chickens, and do not think before acting. Look at you running into the dark to play with my boy’s heart. Idiot… Do you know who he is or who we are for a little sissy like you to keep messing with him? You are not ready for sex yet you want to be his girlfriend? You are mad!” Pablo barked at her, pushing her forehead violently with his thumb.

“Senior Clinton, please… help me. Beg them for me.” Sylvia pleaded with an unconcerned Clinton who was busy rolling up his sleeve as he watched Sylvia quake in her shoes.

“Shut up your mouth! I can slap madness into your little pretty empty head if I hear another word.” Pablo snapped at her before pushing her on the floor.

“Mehn! This will be fun. I have always watched her do shakara with her small waist waiting for this day!” One of the boys chuckled as he reached for his button, slowly unbuttoning them as he waited for Pablo’s go-ahead.

“Guys, wait… are we really doing this? We can just scare her a bit. We don’t have to do the actual deed.” One of the boys said, voicing out Clinton’s concern. He also only wanted to scare Sylvia. Going farther than that was being too extreme and may have consequences.

“Are you a coward? Do you want to run to your mummy crying?” Pablo asked, as he shoved the other guy. “Do you know what gang you belong to? We don’t condone cowardice here. So, if you are too scared to deal with this weakling now, better run to your room. But you should know what will be waiting for you in the midnight. Do you want to relive that terrible night? Cause I will cripple you this time!” He barked at the boy, who said nothing in reply. Pablo pushed him in his face before facing Sylvia.

“Let’s do this! Being evil is fun!” He announced before lowering his trousers as he stood over Sylvia.

Sylvia’s eyes widened in fear as she suddenly understood what they were about to do. “Oh God! This can’t happen to me in my own school!” She screamed in her head. She was going to scream and alert the entire school. She didn’t care if she got expelled. But just as she was about to open her mouth to scream with all her might, someone’s hands suddenly covered her little mouth, making her gasp for air. She looked up to see senior Clinton’s face, his soft hands over her mouth. Tears rolled down her eyes as she wondered why Clinton was doing do this to her. Pablo, she could understand… everyone knew he was vicious, but not Clinton.

“Clinton, this is how it is done! This is how to humble these little girls. After today, she would respect you, trust me!” Pablo bragged to Clinton, who looked a bit confused.

He hadn’t planned for this to go this way. All he wanted to do was scare Sylvia, but he had already made a promise to Gloria and also involved vicious Pablo. There was no going back!

Pablo was the leader of their secret gang in school and evil things like this made him happy. And Clinton wasn’t going to falter, not when belonging to a gang and doing dirty deeds like this made others fear them. He enjoyed being feared above every other thing. He didn’t want to be like other guys who were constantly bullied and beaten in the hostel because they were not gang members. Being a gang member made him feel almost invisible in school. So, he squeezed Sylvia’s mouth harder as Pablo lowered his trousers to defile her. He could feel her shaking in tears but he couldn’t do anything… Not when vicious Pablo was enjoying himself.

Sylvia had been gone for too long, Anna noticed as searched the reading hall for her friend. Something told her that Sylvia maybe in trouble and she wanted to go look for her even though she was afraid to go out alone. She looked around for Stanley, but he was nowhere to be found. He could have escorted her into the dark night. As if that would make any different if those vicious gang of boys caught them. It was no longer news that a secret gang existed in their school, and yet the school authority did nothing about it. There were so many scary stories about the terrible things they did to other students, yet nothing was being done about it. It was as if the school authority was deliberately acting like they were unaware of the evil things happening in their school. “What kind of school was this?” She wondered.

Mrs. Gracious was dosing off in her seat in front of the hall when Anna checked her time and made up her mind to go out in search of her friend. They may not be on talking terms, but Sylvia was still her friend and she may be in trouble. She hurried out of the reading hall into the lonely school compound in search of her friend. The chilly night air making her tremble. “Where was Sylvia, and how was she ever going to find her?”

CHAPTER ONE

“Close those stupid eyes and raise your hands properly. Stupid youngie.”

Anna raised her legs fidgeting as wicked Senior Gloria yelled in her face. She could still hear the chatter of other girls playing and interacting with each other outside the dorm room, and she wished her afternoon had been as normal as theirs. But no… she had managed to touch the tail of the lion and now she was facing the consequences. And it was all because of her curiosity. Her biggest problem has always been her extreme curiosity. It could never let her rest, not until she gets herself into trouble.

“What were you doing at the t-end that late in the night? I need the answer right now!” Gloria’s eyes bulged out in anger as she threatened Anna.

She hadn’t slept a wink last night because of this filthy brat in front of her. Gloria looked at the long Koboko she was holding in her hands and she was itching to use it on the little brat shivering in front of her. But flogging her would make her weep and her weeping would only bring attention, which was what she didn’t want now.

“Senior… I.. please…I’m sorry,” Anna muttered, as she opened her eyes to see the angry Gloria staring at her with a murderous glint.

“Did I ask you to open your stupid eyes? Now close them before I whip you with this cane!” She ordered

“Now, I am asking you again… what were you doing that late at night at the T-end?”

With her eyes shut, Anna remembered how she had snuck out of her room after Lights out. She had seen a figure making her way down the hostel balcony towards the stairs that led out of the hostel, and her curiosity couldn’t let her be. She was surprised to find the hostel door open, but that didn’t stop her from trailing behind the figure. Anna peeped at the Matron’s room and her lights were off too, which meant she was asleep. So, Anna continued on her little adventure, tiptoeing in the pitch darkness so no one would hear her.

It was past 11… what could anyone be doing out so late? She pondered, looking around to be certain no one was watching her too. The pitch darkness of the night almost made her lose her courage to keep following the figure. And she was having double minds about sneaking around school that late at night. What if there was a vengeful spirit on the loose? What happens if the Hostel Matron caught her? Everyone knew how strict Mrs. Gracious was and how severe her punishments often were. Anna swallowed hard as she remembered Mrs.Gracious’s hawk-like face and the coldness in her voice when she was yelling at someone. Her legs were shaky, and she was suddenly skeptical of what she was doing, but that didn’t stop her feet from moving towards the feminine figure she was following.

The figure she had been following suddenly stopped and Anna had to hide behind a pillar to avoid being seen. A male figure walked out from the passageway that connected the girls’ hostel to the boy’s hostel and hugged the female figure. The two figures were locked in an embrace before running off to the T-end without making a single noise. And Anna promised herself that she must find out who they were and why they were sneaking around.

As she got closer to the toilet door, the moaning sounds she heard shocked her innocent mind. She halted in her track, wondering if she should go back, but her skepticism did not stop her eager feet from moving closer to catch the culprits. Never, for once, did she stop to think about how she would go back to the hostel without being discovered by the figures. All she wanted was to know who was flaunting one of the most forbidden rules of the school. Bishop Evangelical College was a popular missionary school for both average and super rich students in her town. And the school had zero tolerance for immorality and even telling a little lie could get you expelled.

All around was dark and the only light Anna could see was the dim light in the bathroom and she knew it was enough for her to catch the culprits. And after that, she would decide to report them, or maybe not. She hadn’t really thought about what she would do when she found out who they were. She was more interested in satisfying her curiosity. The moaning sound was getting a bit louder as she got closer to the door of the toilet they were occupying. She had no idea what she would do when she found out who they were. She was still standing in front of the door looking confused, when the door swung wide open and she saw two naked people entangled in a very immoral way. Anna almost screamed as she saw their faces, but her hands covered her mouth before the scream could escape.

In her shock, she didn’t have the time to take cover, so they wouldn’t know who she was. She just stood there, staring at them in disbelief. Anna couldn’t tell when the female figure had stood up and grabbed her by her collar to a corner. She was still dumbfounded at finding out the true identity of the miscreants.

The familiar voice of senior Gloria jolted her out of her confused state. It was Senior Gloria, the school deaconess’s daughter, and she was asking her what she was doing at the t-end that late at night and she was still trying to adjust her sleeping gown. It really surprised Anna to see senior Gloria, of all people having a romp so late at night. She watched as the most handsome boy in school, Clinton, buckled his trouser as he whispered in Gloria’s ear. Gloria giggled, but her countenance changed as she turned to Anna.

That was how Anna had ended up in the senior’s room this morning, serving punishment for what she shouldn’t be suffering for. If anyone was at fault, it was Gloria… immoral Gloria. She judged with her eyes, her eyes tracing from her long school skirt, loosely fitted and make-up free face. “Pretender!” Anna hissed in her mind. Her gaze lingered for too long and Gloria’s gaze met hers and she got a nasty slap from Gloria for her judgey stares. The slap was painful, and she almost cried out, but Gloria threatened to flog her if she made a sound.

“Now, since you have refused to let me know what you were doing outside your room that late at night. I want you to promise me this… Are you listening?”

Anna nodded, tears threatening to rush out down her pretty face, but she held them.

“You know who my mother is? Right? Nobody can know what you saw last night, especially not my mother. If I hear any tiny gossip about what you saw last night. I will make your life here a living hell. Did you hear me?”

“Yes, Senior Gloria”

“Now get up and get out! And remember not to tell anyone about last night. Guard the secret with your life. And never ever again sneak out of your room so late at night!”

Anna nodded before standing on shaky legs. Her knees were aching, and she wobbled a bit as she walked out of the room, which had been a prison to her for hours. She checked her watch, and it was some minutes after one, and she had been serving punishment since 7. a.m in the morning.

“Come back here!”

Anna stopped in her track, afraid that Gloria had changed her mind about letting her go.

“Did you say thank you to me?”

“Thank you, Senior Gloria.”

Gloria didn’t acknowledge her greeting, she simply waved at her to leave the room. Anna was also in a hurry to leave befosniffled,re the other seniors came back to the room. Her worst nightmare was being in a room filled with seniors… It was every junior’s nightmare or “Youngie’s” nightmare, as their seniors often addressed them as. Everyone was well aware of how cruel seniors in Bishop Evangelical college were. She sniffled, wishing she hadn’t ventured so late at night to see what she had seen. Now, senior Gloria would always have her eyes on her and that was not good.

“Are you okay? Where have you been since morning?” Sylvia asked as she watched her friend Anna slump into her bed before covering herself.

“What are you doing? Breaktime is almost over and you were not around for the first four periods. Do you want to get into trouble?” Sylvia tapped Anna.

Anna watched her best friend, feeling a great desire to tell her what she had seen last night. But she couldn’t because Sylvia was a known chatterbox. She was always all over the place, the drama queen of the class, and she couldn’t stop her mouth from running. Sometimes, Anna often wondered how they had ended up as friends. She was the opposite of Sylvia… quiet, boring and quite unpopular in class. Sylvia was prancing about the room and as Anna watched her, she knew she wouldn’t want any other friend.

“But you can’t be in the room when everyone is in class. If the matron finds you, she will kill you. You know how evil Mrs. Gracious can be.” Sylvia warned

“I am not feeling well.” Anna grunted, getting more comfortable in bed while still dressed in her full uniform.

“Is that why you skipped class?” Sylvia asked, genuinely concerned about her friend.

“Yes, I was at the sick bay. I was having a bad stomach upset”

“Sorry, Anna… I’m sure that over-spicy pepperish rice the cook often makes is the reason for that. But you can’t stay in the room. It’s best you go to the sick bay.I’m off now before Mrs.Gracious pops out of nowhere!”

“Wai, let me come with you. I don’t want to get in trouble with Mrs. Gracious.” Anna said, suddenly jumping out of her bed.

“Wait… I just remembered The Maths teacher asked after you. He asked you to come to his office.” Sylvia announced.

“What? What does he want?” Anna grimaced in anger. Everyone knew how much of a womanizer, their math teacher, Mr. Jonathan, was and they just couldn’t understand why he had not been sacked after all the scandals linked to him. He had tried so many times to molest different girls in their school. Few had reported him, while others were afraid to because they knew nothing would be done about it. It scared so many girls whenever he summoned them to his office, except for the few who were already sleeping with him.

“Don’t let him shut the door and don’t get too close to him. If he tries anything with you, just run out” Sylvia advised before walking off to class, her skirt bouncing as she walked majestically to class.

Anna fidgeted as she thought about meeting the creepy Mr. Jonathan. He was a pedophile and yet they left him to work in a school filled with young kids. She hesitated as she thought about how to act when she met him and how to avoid getting fondled by him again. She got to his office door and paused. The light was off and the door was slightly open. Something told her not to open the door, but her curious mind wanted to find out what was going on behind the door. She opened it gradually and switched on the light to find Senior Gloria and Mr. Jonathan kissing in the corner. Before she could run out, Gloria had already seen her face.

“You again!” She shouted, still holding onto their Maths teacher’s head close to her boobs. Anna froze at the spot… Gloria stood up then and walked gradually to Anna, and grabbed her by the collar like a goat. And Anna knew her worst days in Bishop Evangelical college were finally here. As Gloria ordered her to kneel down for the second time that day, she looked at Mr. Jonathan with puppy eyes, hoping he will plead on her behalf. But he was also giving her a stern look, and she knew she was in deep trouble.

Romance / This Is The Scariest Journey Of My Life: A Must Read! by ExploreFeelings(f): 3:48pm On Jul 08, 2022
The Scariest Journey Of My Life “Part 1”

I never knew I would be able to tell this story one day, it is one of those experiences that are hard to forget and hard to tell. But I am finally summoning the courage to tell you about the scariest journey of my life.

Journeys… traveling from one place to another for hours, stuck in a seat with strangers for hours! I hated it with passion. Watching unique landscapes as the car moves is usually the fun part of any journey for me, but it wasn’t enough to make me enjoy traveling. But I had to embark on this journey. I was finally going to see my friends after 5 years of being apart. It was the only reason I was even excited about traveling, coupled with the fact that one of my friends was getting married. Sitting on the bench facing our bus with its doors slightly open, I smiled widely as I thought about the fun we would have when I got to Lagos.

“Oga, I no go pay 1,000 naira for that small bag of clothes. If you no go collect, you leave… ah! why una wicked like this?” The angry voice of a woman jolted me back to reality.

I sighed as I listened to her lamenting to our unconcerned driver. He was smoking and puffing the smoke in her direction even though he knew she had her baby strapped at her back. I looked around the park and I was truly angry with myself for not going to a reputable transportation company. This so-called park was unorganized and dirty, and I was pretty sure their vehicles would be in poor conditions. But I couldn’t blame myself for patronizing them because they were the cheapest I could get. Other transportation companies were too expensive for my budget, so I had to stick with one within my budget.
I looked at my phone and it was almost 9. am and our bus wasn’t even loaded yet and our driver seemed so less concerned about it. I studied his face angrily. He had bloodshot eyes and a scary black face with scars all over it. He was still smoking as the woman continued to lament about the money she was asked to pay for her luggage. A man approached him then to talk to him. It was hard not to notice the man because of his bulky body, skin cut hairstyle and high-heeled boots which distinguished him from other men there. After he spoke to the driver in a low voice, the driver stood up and started ordering everyone to get into the car. The bulky man dipped his hand into his pocket and gave the driver 1000 naira note. The driver squeezed it into his pocket as he yelled at everyone to get into the bus or they will be left behind.

We got onto the bus and left the park by exactly 10am. “10am, that was freaking late, when would we get to Lagos.”I was already apprehensive because I knew we would never make it to Lagos early enough and I hated night journeys more than anything. The beginning of the journey was smooth until there was a commotion at the back of the car. It was the same woman who was carrying a child and she was dragging space with a man in the back.

“Madam, if you touch me again, I swear I go slap you for here!” The male passenger’s loud voice threatened the woman.

“You no fit try am! You no fit! Why you and your friend wan suffocate me for this seat. Why you no pay for him seat? Now, he come de drag seat with me and my baby. Abeg shift!” the woman yelled back at him.

“Madam! Madam! I go slap you o, stop to de push me!”

The quarrel went on for minutes, and others joined in scolding the man for dragging for a seat he didn’t pay for. He said nothing as they continued to inconvenience the poor woman and her baby. When the woman couldn’t take it anymore, she yelled for the driver to stop the car and change her seat. I looked back and I could see her struggling for comfort in the overcrowded back seat. There were like five men in a seat which was meant for only three people. Even though they were lapping each other, there was no way that seat would have been comfortable enough for 6 of them. The driver stopped the car then and stepped down. Everyone thought he was going to help the woman find a better seat, but he hadn’t stopped the bus to change the woman’s seat but to work on the car. “But the car was working perfectly fine. What is he doing?” I whispered to the stranger sitting next to me, who said nothing in reply. The driver was now standing in front of the car engine, he opened the bonnet and started screwing or unscrewing things. I had no idea what he was doing but I started having a terrible feeling about the journey then.

The bulky man stepped down to find out what the driver was up to and the driver closed the bonnet immediately as he saw the man approaching. They both got into the car again and drove off. The woman behind had to stop lamenting since the driver didn’t care about her discomfort and I felt bad for her but I didn’t wish to trade positions with her. The men sitting with her looked scary and dirty, I could imagine how horrible they smelt…
Since the commotion in the bus had died, I dozed off as I dreamt about meeting my friends. But my sleep didn’t last long before the weird noise of our car engine woke me up. “What is the problem again?” I wasn’t the only one already fed up of the journey, others were complaining as they pleaded with the driver to open the passenger’s door for them to come down and stretch their legs. He did not oblige their request… he simply went to the car bonnet and touched a few things before the car started again. And that was the beginning of our incessant bus palava.

Every new town we reached, our bus stopped and the driver had to come down to touch the engine before it started. The bulky man sitting close to the driver asked him to take the bus to a mechanic, which he did not heed to. We continued the journey with our damaged bus since our driver strongly refused to get any repairs. His excuse being that he was not given any extra money for repairs, so we had to cope with the spoilt bus till we somehow got to our destination. While I prayed silently to reach safely, everyone was yelling at him for such a stupid decision, but he did not answer nor did he care… As we journeyed on, there was either a loss of engine power or smoke coming out of the bonnet and the driver got down each time to repair it and we carried on with the journey. We had no choice, we were on the highway and a lot of us had little or no money to board another bus.

Some people insisted on coming down to take another bus, but the driver refused to open the passenger doors for them. So, they all had to sit back and rain some more curses on him. They couldn’t do more than that. I checked my time then, and it was past 6 and we were nowhere close to Lagos. oh no! this was about to become a night journey. I cried out in my mind as I watched the evening sun sinking low. The bus started again with the weird noise and the driver got down to repair it for the 10th time. The bulky man got down and started yelling at him.

“You must take this car to a mechanic, or we are not moving from here. Do you hear me? This your nonchalant attitude has continued for too long. Find a mechanic now!” He ordered the driver

The driver said nothing as he got into the car to start the car again and the bulky man jumped into the car as the driver almost drove off without him. He got into the car and they started dragging the car steering. The bus was swaying on the road and we were all screaming for them to stop. The driver finally stopped the bus since the man was stronger than him and he promised to take the car to the mechanic. According to the driver, the mechanic was just a few miles down the road, and if we needed to hurry to meet him before he closed his shop.

Just a few miles down the road, and there was a roadblock, there were young boys standing around, holding sticks and asking for money. The driver saw them and swerved into a small bushy path… “What was this about again?” My heart lurched in my stomach as our driver drove roughly down the path with no explanation. One of the boys was running down shouting that we shouldn’t take that path but our stubborn driver paid him no attention. We were all pleading with him to listen to the boy, but he didn’t care and the bulky man beside him was getting angrier. I looked outside the window and it was getting seriously dark. I swallowed hard, scared as I watched the long trees and bushes enveloped in darkness through the window. The woman’s baby started crying then and it added to my apprehension. “Where was the driver headed to?” I looked around the bus and I wasn’t the only one who was scared and the baby just wouldn’t shut up!

The bulky man was looking left and right as we continued to journey deep into the forest. “What are you doing young man? Where are you taking us to?” He asked.

And at that moment, the men behind stood up, yelling for everyone to keep quiet or they will be killed. They were with guns… sophisticated guns, and I wondered how they had been able to keep it hidden all this while. I was shaking as I heard a resounding slap from the back, the woman carrying a baby screamed and I knew she had received the dirtiest slap of her life.

The driver was still headed into the forest and the bulky man saw he was headed into a small dwelling in the forest; he tried then to take control of the bus and the men behind started shooting. I was screaming as bullets rained in our bus, running under the seat for cover. “God what did I do to deserve this? Please help me!” I prayed silently.

The bus suddenly hit a gigantic tree and stopped abruptly. One of the men from the back slapped me on my back and told me to stand up. He yelled for everyone to get up and the powerful stench from his body had me moving faster away from him. He dragged me back and told me to follow all of his instructions or I will be brutally dealt with. There were shouts from outside the bus, victorious shouts and I looked around to see more men with guns. And that was when I knew we would never make it to Lagos. We were done for!

Romance / My Husband Is A Psychopath... How Do I Escape From Him? by ExploreFeelings(f): 9:10am On May 23, 2022
Chapter One

Another screening!…Francis sighed. How much he hated football screenings…he was never going to be chosen anyway, he wondered why he bothered to even come for them. Maybe it was just sheer hope that one day he would be chosen. He was the best on the team and he just couldn’t understand why he was never chosen. Why? Why? The questions echoed in his head. The coach had said he didn’t have what it takes to be in a big football club or even on the National team, Yet…
“Francis! Francis! Dude the football agent is here, put on your boots and pray you get accepted this time” Michael yelled trying to cheer his friend up. He knew why he was gloomy and he felt sorry for him.

Francis walked grudgingly to the changing room. He could see the coach discussing intensely with the agent. He was dressed in a black suit and Italian shoes and he looked really wealthy. He had one of those designer watches on his wrist. Everything about him screamed wealth. Francis hoped he could become that rich one day. The coach on the other hand looked ridiculously thin in his football kit which looked oversized for him.
He wondered what the coach was talking to him about. Was he already listing out his favorites to him? It was no rumor that only the coach’s favorites were accepted into big football clubs but Francis didn’t believe idle talks. Nevertheless, He wondered why he wasn’t the coach’s favorite.

He simply made up his mind to give his best and hoped he got selected this time.
During the screening match, he dominated the game and he scored 2 goals. Everyone on his team hailed him but they knew that wasn’t enough to impress the coach. Well, he said he was going to give his best and he would! Not for the coach but for the football agent to notice him. He could see that the agent was admiring his skills from where he sat. But occasionally he shook his head.

The sound of the whistle and shouts from the coach indicated that the screening was over. Here comes the moment he dreaded more than anything. Of course, he will not be chosen. Michael patted him then on his shoulder as if he knew he needed it.
The coach and the agent were still in a heated argument and they all wondered what it was all about.

“I cannot believe what you are saying. That young boy is the best on this team yet you want his name out of this list” The agent asked confused.
“He does not have what it takes to be on that team. I know my boys and this one isn’t ready. ” The coach answered in a shady way. He could see Francis staring at him, he smiled at him and continued his conversation.
“Look, you have to do as I say if you don’t want to be questioned by members of the board of your club.” Coach whispered
“Are you threatening me?”
“Of course not, just leave the boy’s name out of the list” He warned before stepping away from the agent.
The agent knew there was politics in football, though they tried their best to cover it up. But this one was pretty obvious and he hated that to be a part of it. The poor boy, he sighed.
———————————————————————————————————————
Michael had made it to the team but he didn’t?…he couldn’t just believe it. They started this football training together and each year they were both rejected during the screening. But now, Michael was on the team and he wasn’t? Everyone knew he played better than his friend. He was better than every other player but he was never chosen.
He watched as the coach patted each guy whose name was on the list on their shoulders. He felt like an outcast. And he was envious of them, especially his friend…
He got up angrily and started going home. He was almost in tears but he couldn’t let those tears out until he was home. Someone was screaming his name from behind and he had an idea who it was. But he chose to ignore him.

“Francis, stop! why would you leave without me?” Michael yelled as he reached Francis “I was calling you when you were leaving, you didn’t bother to answer.”
“What is it you want?” Francis asked angrily. He was very bitter and he wanted to fight.
“Dude, you have to change your tone. I didn’t cause any of this for you. It’s not my fault you were not chosen” Michael asked feeling offended

Francis pushed him then on his chest and Michael pushed him back. They have never fought before but they both knew it would be a tough one if they did. They were both hot-headed and well-built. And there was no one to stop them from fighting. The road was lonely. However, Francis was angrier and he knew he was going to defeat Michael.
Before Michael could say the next words, he received a dirty blow. He charged at Francis and gave him a few blows too. Francis didn’t let that stop him from toppling him down and holding him down by the neck.
Michael couldn’t breathe, he was choking.
“Please, this is not my fault. Stop this, we are supposed to be friends” He said in a coarse voice.

Francis Let him go then as he sat on the floor in tears. Why was he not chosen? Why?
“If you knew the price I had to pay to be on that team, you wouldn’t be fighting me” Michael said as he tried to catch his breath.
“What do You mean? What price?” Francis asked feeling guilty as he looked at his friend’s red eyes.
“That isn’t the right question. The right question is are you willing to pay the price?“
“What price?“
The question echoed in an older Francis’ head. He was dreaming! He looked around, he was in his gold-plated bed, He looked across his room and he could see his awards stashed out on a shelf. It was just a fucking dream. What time was it? It was just 4 in the evening and he was sleeping in his bed. What? He was supposed to be out with friends now! He hated going against his plans for the day. What made him sleep so early in the day? And where was that stupid wife of his?

Nancy walked in then and knew she was in big trouble. Francis was staring at her with murderous glint and she wanted to run out the door. ooohh! Please No! she couldn’t take another beating today.
She had come back from work not long ago and found her husband sleeping. She knew it was strange to find him sleeping by that time but she didn’t want to wake him up. He would have pounced on her that moment if she did. So, she had decided to leave him alone and go make dinner instead.

Now, he was awake and staring at her like he always did before he…
“Are you stupid, woman?” Francis growled. He took pleasure in seeing her tremble with fear. He was her lord, her tormentor and she must be ready to receive any punishment from him anytime.
He rushed towards her as she shrieked in fear.
Chapter 2
“Why did you allow me to continue to sleep so early in the day?” Francis screamed as he approached Nancy who was frozen at a spot.
“I am so sorry, I…I” She muttered
“You know I hate excuses” Francis slapped her “What is your job as a wife? Why did I marry you if you can’t carry out a simple instruction? You slowpoke!” He slapped her even heavier this time.
“Answer me bitch, why?“
“I am sorry, please. I didn’t want to wake you up” Nancy pleaded in tears.
He hit his hands on the wall then as he stared at Nancy, his anger building up. He knew he had no reason to hit her but he wanted to. He was looking for every reason to. He wanted to show how he was the master here…
“I can see you are growing wings. You are talking back at me?” He paused while Nancy covered her face waiting for blows to rain down on her. ” How many times have I told you not to say anything when I am speaking” He asked as he dragged her by dress and threw her on the bed.

I am going to teach you a lesson so that next time you won’t question my authority” He tore her clothes then and grabbed her by her neck.
“This is my kingdom and I am lord here. Never will you question me or go against my wishes.” He said in a thunderous voice. That was how Nancy heard it since he echoed in her ears.
“Yes, my lord” Nancy whimpered
“Are you crying? Why are you crying? Did I touch you? You want the world to know that we had a minor disagreement?” He said as he released his hold on her.
Nancy shook her head. She just wanted this nightmare to be over already. She had tried her best to make him happy all through today. But nothing ever satisfied him. Oh God! she was truly scared of living with a monster. And there was no escape for her. He was still holding her down waiting for her to make the wrong move.

She had to stop her tears now and act like nothing had happened between them or he would hit her again. She reminded herself.
“Open your legs for me” He said in a rough voice as he caressed her face. Nancy started crying afresh then. She truly was living with a monster. How could he be turned on now? How? But she had no choice but to do as he said. She was his wife whether she liked it or not.
She opened her legs as he penetrated her without any pre-intimacy. He was a monster indeed! He turned her back then and rode her fiercely. She cried silently until she had no more tears. And She was really aching but she knew he didn’t care about her at all. She had to endure it all.
———————————————————————————————————————–
Nancy was exhausted when he was done with her. He didn’t care she wasn’t moving or making any noise! He simply went to the shower like he didn’t just violate her. Her! His wife! or his slave! As he often treated her. She was still in tears but she made sure he couldn’t hear her crying. He would soon be out with friends and she would have some peace…. till…. he was back again! Back to steal her peace!
Moments later he stepped out naked, He had the body of an athlete…he was a footballer after all. He went through his clothes to select his expensive satin shirts. They cost more than some people’s annual salary. He was truly vain and insane too. Everything he had was overly-priced or designers, and nothing less. She kept her face low so he wouldn’t see she was looking at him. Any little action could trigger him to hit her again. There was hardly any peace for her.
When he was done dressing, he stepped close to her and held her face high before kissing her lips intimately. Then he bit her lip, she trembled and he let her go before stepping out of the house.
Nancy let out a loud cry as soon as he was out of the house. This was truly hell! And no one knew what a monster her husband was. In the world’s eyes, he was the perfect gentleman, a philanthropist, a family man, a talented player…
They couldn’t see…She looked at herself in the mirror then, her eyes were red, and there were cuts on her lips. Her clothes were torn and she couldn’t bear looking at herself. She had met Francis years ago and fell madly in love with him. She worked in an advertising firm and had met him through one of their sponsors. They had dated for a year before he decided to marry her. It was too sudden for her but she couldn’t just say No. He was successful, smart and attractive too. Occasionally she noticed his outburst but they were not frequent until when they were two years into the marriage. That was when she got to know the true Francis.

She rushed to her phone and dialed her friend’s number. She had to tell someone what was happening, she had to…but she was scared. What would become of her life after? How would she face Francis? How would she escape from all these?. She was in tears again when she had her phone ring. She wondered if she should tell her friend. She wiped her tears and picked up the call.

——————————————————————————————————————-
She knew her eyes were red and that was why she was putting on dark shades. Her friend Monica probably thought she was being fashionable.

“Oh my Nancy, you are freaking hot… way hotter than Kim. The dark shades perfectly suit your chic jumpsuit. And your bag is so expensive. Is this Chanel or Fendi?” Monica asked enthusiastically. She loved expensive stuff though she couldn’t afford most of them. However, she had her way.
“I have no idea” Nancy tried to act cool like she wasn’t just abused by her husband. She took a sip from the drink her friend had ordered for her.

“You look really good! So different from the lady who had 3 wigs and fake designer clothes 3 years ago” Monica teased her.
Yeah, she was different now, she was a sad woman! She was a prisoner living in affluence. Oh! how she wished she could have her old life back. She was so full of life then…
“Hey, haven’t you been listening to me? Why do you act like you can’t hear me each time I talk about you hooking me up with one of your husband’s colleagues?” Monica took her time to observe her friends. She could see marks on her neck, the scarf on her neck hadn’t completely covered it.
“Are you okay?” Monica asked concerned
“Of course, why wouldn’t I be? Look at me I am rocking a Chanel bag. Come on girl, I’m just a bit off” She tried to sound lively even though it wasn’t convincing enough.
“Off? could it be that you are pregnant…?
“What, no!” She screamed like it was an abomination. That was one of her worst fears, she didn’t want to bring a child into this depressing life.

“Okay, you are really off today. You could have just asked me to come visit you. You’ve never invited me to your home since you got married” Monica asked.
“I…well, my hus…the thing is…” Monica was staring at her in confusion while Nancy desperately looked for an excuse, her phone rang then and that saved her from the awkward silence. It was her husband! Was he back? She couldn’t pick the call in front of her friend. She would know immediately that something was wrong. She ran to the Ladies’ room to answer her call.
Monica had never seen her friend act so strange. She knew her friend had become a bit distant since she got married to that Popular football star, Francis. But shouldn’t she be happy? she was married to a successful man and they both looked happy in their photos. She even had the most expensive clothes and bags. She should be happy Or was he treating her badly?
Nancy walked out then, and sat nervously. She looked at her phone…Francis was already on his way back home and she would be in trouble if she wasn’t home before him. But She didn’t also know what to tell Monica. She wrote a check and looked up to see Monica staring at her with her arms crossed.
“Don’t tell me you are going? This is how you want to end the hangout? We didn’t even talk…what is going on with you?” Monica questioned her.

“I wish I could answer all your questions but I really need to go now. Please, please let’s do this another time. I am so sorry”
She walked out hoping and praying Francis was not back yet. She couldn’t face an angry Francis again. She just couldn’t!

Romance / Getting Married To My Friend’s Husband Is The Biggest Mistake Of My Life by ExploreFeelings(f): 1:04pm On May 19, 2022
GETTING MARRIED TO MY FRIEND’S HUSBAND IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE

The greatest mistake of my life was getting married to my friend’s ex-husband. I don’t know how I got to that point. Or maybe I do and I will tell you the story.

My friend Monica and her husband Stanley were inseparable, their love was the type that would make you say “God when”. They played like friends, they were fond of each other and went on dates together. Whenever my friend talked to me about their love and how it started, I had butterflies in my stomach. I wanted to feel that kind of intense love!
When I met my friend in University, she was already dating Stanley. People in Universities hardly stayed in relationships for more than a year. But they had been together for close to 3 years. They were in love! He always goes out of his way to show her that she was the woman he loved and she too wanted no other man. I envied them! It was hard to find true love…

After our graduation from the University, they got married two years later. I was so happy for them because I knew they were in love but I was also jealous of their love. University lovers hardly ever got married but they did, it was true love indeed. But after two years of marriage, I realized that their love wasn’t all that strong or perfect like I had pictured it. They fought a lot and I also figured out that Stanley had cheated on Monica more than once. My friend started calling me frequently to report her husband to me. Their quarrels were too much and I knew soon enough their marriage would come to an end. I felt bad for my friend, hearing her cry and complain about her marriage all the time was seriously hard. And I was happy I wasn’t married… This marriage thing is hard! Focusing on my career and having occasional flings with men was okay for me.

The calls and complaints were becoming too much. So, I advised my friend to do what was best for her.
So, I wasn’t surprised when my friend left Stanley completely when they realized their marriage wasn’t working. I was at home getting ready for work that day when she knocked on my door dragging her bags and other personal property. And that was when I confirmed that they were truly done with each other. I tried consoling my friend and assuring her that everything will work out but she refused to talk about her marriage or Stanley. She even blocked his number and never shed a tear for him! I believe she hated him or maybe acted like she did. He even called her with other numbers and when she realized it was him she would yell at him and cut the call. I wondered what he must have done this time to make her hate him with so much passion.
Well, since Stanley couldn’t contact her directly anymore, he started chatting with me on my WhatsApp. He would ask me about my friend, I would encourage him to take heart and give her some time. He would beg me to reach out to my friend but each time I mentioned his name, Monica would shout at me. So, I stopped updating her about anything concerning Stanley even though I was still in contact with him.

And that was how we started chatting with each other almost every day. We talked about everything apart from his marriage to my friend. I was falling for him even though he was my friend’s ex. I guess I have always liked him but couldn’t make a move because he was dating my ex. Now, he was giving me all of the attention he used to give my friend. He would call me and I would hide to take his calls. I can’t really tell how we got that point but we did! But he was my kind of man…
One day during our chats, he asked about Monica and it pissed me off. So, I went to tell Monica that he asked about her because I knew It would annoy her. I wanted to make her angry because I was jealous he was still thinking of her. When I told her about Stanley she yelled at me that she never wanted anything to do with him. But I yelled back that I wanted him even if she was discarding him. She said nothing to me about it! She just stared at me dumbfounded and I didn’t feel bad because I liked Stanley a lot. They were already broken up and she hadn’t even spoken to him for more than 5 months. It sounded like they were truly over… So it was my chance to start something with Stanley.

Months later, Monica traveled abroad to complete her study, which made it easier for me to move on with my life with her ex-husband. 3 months later , he paid my bride price and we started living together. And that was the greatest mistake I made. Monica and Stanley were not divorced, yet I went ahead to allow her husband pay my bride price. Each time I asked him if his precious marriage was over, he would keep on telling me that the divorce process was ongoing. Well, my marriage with Stanley wasn’t exciting like what I used to see between him and Monica. We were like friends without the romance. There were no special feelings in the marriage, it was empty and I was unhappy. It was really annoying till I got fed up with it and started talking to him about it, and that was when he started hitting me. I could barely express myself without getting a slap.

Things got even worse when he heard that Monica was Married to a white man abroad. He was so angry and he transferred his aggression to me. He would yell at me at the slightest provocation and often compared me with Monica.

Romance / This Crazy Girl Fought Me Over A Guy by ExploreFeelings(f): 11:59am On May 09, 2022
Story Alert

The crazy Rival

Chioma wasn’t sure what she was doing in front of James’ gate, and even worse, she had no idea how she was going to get into the building. She had been stalking around the building hoping that James would miraculously stroll out and see her. Oh no! what was she thinking? Why would he want to stroll out when he had everything he will ever need in the mansion.

She had thought about approaching the bouncers and telling them that James was expecting her but she remembered how they threw her out the last time. And she couldn’t even get any closer to the gate. She was just hanging around watching and waiting for James to come out. She knew she was behaving very stupid but she had no choice. James, she must see! She had to, so she could sleep peacefully at night.”
She had to, so she could sleep peacefully at night.

As she was contemplating about James, a car drove out of the gate, Chioma’s heart skipped a beat. Could it be JAMES? Had her prayers been answered?

When the car got to where she was, the window was rolled down and James was staring into Chioma’s eyes. They stared at each other for a long time and it was like that very moment was frozen and nothing else mattered. He remembered their goodbye, their first kiss and how they walked home together. He was still in love with her.. But James had to jerk himself to reality, he got out of the car and approached Chioma.

Chioma’s heart was pounding vigorously as he stepped closer to her, then he whispered in her ears. “You are not allowed to be here, this building is off-limits for people like you and I don’t want to see you ever again!”

Chioma could see the coldness in his eyes and tears streamed down her cheeks. He simply got back into the car and left without even looking back at her. He had really forgotten her but for a moment there she thought he was going to kiss her. Chioma stood there shocked and she couldn’t get her legs to move. Then someone pushed her from behind and she was even more alarmed. She turned around and saw Amanda staring at her furiously.

Amanda was so angry, she had been humiliated by James but the second he saw Chioma he forgot himself, he even got down from his precious car and spoke to her. Something she had ached for him to do for so long. This wasn’t fair and she wasn’t going to take it. She was so much better than this village masquerade.

Chioma was not ready to confront anyone, she just wanted to go home and sink herself in her tears. So she simply ignored Amanda’s push and started walking home. Amanda chased her like a madwoman, yelling and pushing her even more.

“What makes you think you are better than me? You village church rat! James is mine and mine alone. Do you hear me?” she yelled

He is not yours to give, he was never yours! Stop living in that fantasy world. You were simply a childhood pastime for him. He has no memory of you because he has me!” Amanda continued yelling
Chioma had decided not to respond to Amanda but this last thing she said got her so she gave Amanda a resounding slap.

Amanda was shocked and she stood for a moment thinking of a way to revenge. So, she dragged Chioma by the hair which made Chioma start scratching her face to rescue herself. Chioma finally got a hold of Amanda’s hair and dragged off her wig. Amanda left her then to rescue her wig and Chioma thought it was over and started walking home. Amanda rushed from behind and dragged her down, Amanda was on top and had the advantage.

Romance / I Almost Killed My Huband’s Side Chic...was I Wrong To Go After Her? by ExploreFeelings(f): 8:05pm On Apr 23, 2022
Dominic and I have been married for more than 7 years. I can still remember when he proposed to me and when he came to pay my bride price, it was the happiest day of my life. I loved Dominic and I know he loved me a lot too, so I knew our marriage was going to be perfect.

It was perfect for the first Year but after that it was as if the spark was gone from my marriage. We hardly saw each other, we barely had sex or even meaningful conversations. We were just two people living together in a house.

Yes we understood each other, we could stand each other but there was nothing more to our marriage. And when I gave birth to our second child things became worse between us. We didn’t quarrel or fight but we just got tired of each other. The kids took over our lives and we never had any fun together as a couple.

My husband had a furniture shop and I had a makeup shop. We barely saw each other because of the kind of business we had. When I was less busy that was when my husband was busy, so we never had time for each other.

So, when I found out Dominic was cheating I was not surprised. I had been suspecting him because he kept answering strange calls and coming back late but I never confronted him. I guess I was afraid of having any issues with my husband. I was simply okay with our boring routine, I never thought anything could disrupt our marriage.

That very day I was with his phone when I saw a text that said “I miss you my darling, when are you coming to see me?”. He was bathing so I had enough time to check who the texts was coming from and it was a lady. I was pained even though I wasn’t that shocked. However, I didn’t confront my husband, I simply dropped his phone so he wouldn’t know I had seen the message.

He came out of the bathroom and read his message, and started dressing up to go out. I watched him dress while I said nothing. As he got up and left the house, my mind told me to follow him and find out the identity of the lady. I did so, I followed him quietly and I saw him drive the lady to a restaurant where they ate and laughed before he dropped her back in her place of work. While I watched this my heart was filled with bitterness that my husband could treat another woman like a queen while he ignored me.

So, I marked the lady’s place of work, a small provision store where she was probably the store attendant. And I told myself I was going to come back the next day to deal with her. That night while I slept with my husband my heart was heavy, I kept on turning thinking of what I will do to the stupid girl.

Romance / Disadvantages Of Sleeping With A Married Man by ExploreFeelings(f): 12:17pm On Apr 23, 2022
Disadvantages of Sleeping With A Married Man

Sleeping with a married man is one thing you should frown upon. There's nothing right about sleeping with a man who is married to another woman. Once you find out a man who is asking you out is married then you need to stay far away from him.
Here are Some disadvantages of sleeping with a married man

1. He will never be yours to keep—

Ladies, God will never send you a married man. Instead, you should pray for yours to come.

No matter how good a mistress you are to him, be rest assured that at the end of the day he has a family to run back to.

2. High chances of contacting STDs.

Be rest assured that you’re not the only side chick that married man is sleeping with. Another side effect of having affair with a married man are that he can contact HIV/AIDS or any STDs from anywhere and transfer them to you.

3. You’ll have trust issues with men.

The funniest part of having an affair with a married man is that you won’t trust any man. All men become the same to you.

You know how you used your body to cause trouble in another woman’s home so you won’t want the same thing to happen to you.

I blame the man as well for choosing to deceive his wife whom he is supposed to love and cherish.

Romance / I Was Seduced And Kidnapped By My Own Boyfriend by ExploreFeelings(f): 5:30pm On Apr 14, 2022
Seduced and Kidnapped

“The evening was going smoothly, there was soft music playing in the background and James was looking like he had fallen for her all over again. She felt really special and didn’t want the evening to end. There was wine, assorted food and they talked about their secondary school days. She was living her dream… she had her James!

It was going so well till James wanted to make love to her which she was not entirely ready for. He kissed her softly on her lips and she was so tense. But she felt warm too and dizzy. She didn’t want to stop him even though she didn’t want to have sex with him then. He caressed her neck and she felt butterflies in her stomach. She was attracted to him and she “could see he wanted her too. She was getting relaxed, ready to give all of herself to him when he stopped halfway and excused himself. And that was when her nightmare began.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He wanted her badly as he had never wanted any woman before. There was so much chemistry between them and if he hadn’t stepped out he would have lost control. James knew he couldn’t make love to Chioma and continue with the plan. He knew that once he made love to her, he would tell her the truth. And that would ruin everything. He will not let his father down, most importantly he needed to avenge his mum’s death. And his love for Chioma couldn’t compare to the bitterness and hatred he felt towards the “townspeople. He just hoped that Chioma would forgive him one day.

He had left the room because he couldn’t be the one to capture Chioma. He just couldn’t get himself to be that cruel to her. He knew what was about to happen to her and he wished there was a way he could stop it from happening. But there wasn’t and Chioma’s life was doomed as a sex slave. He hated himself so much…how could he do this to the woman he claimed to love? There was no time for regrets…it’s done!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chioma wasn’t expecting the huge guy that came in after James left. She was shocked to find a man other than James inside the room. She tried to yell for James but she didn’t, she didn’t want to appear like a local crazy girl. The mansion was really a creepy place. It was huge and so quiet. Then she thought she could see a lady’s dress hanging at the corner of the room. It could be Claire’s, the other lady that everyone talked about, what was her clothes still doing here if she had left? So many ideas came to her head, she was “so quiet.

Then she thought she could see a lady’s dress hanging at the corner of the room. It could be Claire’s, the other lady that everyone talked about, what was her clothes still doing here if she had left? So many ideas came to her head, she was getting scared as the guys came closer to her, then she froze…

She may be overacting and the guy could be one of the employees who came to…She was about to finish her sentence when another huge guy entered with a duct tape and she had no choice but to scream for James’ help. There was no response and the only reaction she got from the guys was a horrifying slap that almost knocked her out. She was scared, and she kept on wondering if they were going to rape or kill her. But they simply dragged her from the bed like a rag doll and placed the duct tape on her mouth. She tried fighting them but they tied her”

“hands and legs. She couldn’t believe this was happening to her in James's house. She was struggling to free herself, only for her to receive yet another heavy blow and she blacked out.

A few minutes later she woke up to find herself tied to a chair and in a different room. They had removed her duct tape but she couldn’t get herself to say anything. She couldn’t feel her lips and she was scared they would hit her if she said a word. She looked around and found out she wasn’t the only one tied up in the room. There were three other girls which she knew but one of them was very familiar. It was Amanda! She couldn’t believe her eyes, what was Amanda doing here? How did she get here?

Romance / I Just Found Out My Friend’s Sugar Daddy Is My Uncle, What Do I Do? by ExploreFeelings(f): 8:20pm On Apr 12, 2022
I and my friends weren’t always wild and uncontrollable…we used to be innocent and simple-minded girls. But all that changed when we met Janet in the second semester of our first year at the University. We were just three friends, I, and Mercy before Janet came along and changed our entire University experience. She showed us what we were missing, she opened our eyes to a filthy but captivating lifestyle.

We became the type of girls almost every guy in the university wanted. The kind of girls every girl wanted to be, even though they often criticized us. Any guy we choose to sit close to during lectures felt like a king. Any girl we talked to felt important. We wore the most expensive clothes, our hairstyles were always trendy and we used the most expensive perfumes. Trust me, we were not just any average campus babe, we were big girls. And yeah people gossiped about us and often wondered how we got money to fund our expensive lifestyle but we didn’t care.

We were hot, we were living the University life! We were not living the basic life other students had, we went to clubs, traveled to different states to meet men and we shut down any party we attended. Our lifestyle was almost intoxicating, everyone wanted to be us or at least they all tried to be our friends. But we didn’t care, most people couldn’t meet up to our standards so there was no way they could be our friends.

Like I said before, we were wild girls and our expensive lifestyle was sponsored by sugar daddies…people’s husbands and fathers, well, that was none of our business, all that mattered was the money they gave us. Just one evening with a sugar dad and we could make more than 50k. Yes, our life was that awesome.
My friend Mercy had her favorite Sugar daddy who always took her to expensive places and showered her with gifts. She always talked about him and how wealthy he was, and she wanted us to meet him and his friends. So, we decided to go along with her to meet her favorite sugar daddy as she often called him. We were going to meet him at a very exclusive club only for the rich.

We of course dressed up in our glamorous attires and painted our faces with the latest makeup brands. We were directed to meet Mercy’s sugar daddy and his friends in the VIP section. Wow! It was very obvious he must be filthy rich. We were all curious to know who this mysterious sugar daddy was. We got comfortable and ready to flirt with the old men and probably end up in their hotel rooms. But I was shocked when Mercy pointed my uncle, my aunt’s husband. I froze in fear as he also watched me probably wondering what I was doing in such company. I was shocked and heart broke…This can’t be true, my uncle cannot be sleeping with small girls when he had my aunt who loved him. Just then I remembered how my aunt used to buy him gifts on his birthdays, and how she pampered him.

My uncle was equally shocked to find me in the company of girls who slept with older men. What I was doing was against my home training and if anyone in my family found out, I would be withdrawn from school and dealt with properly. My father was a very strict Christian and he always warned us against prostitution. My uncle said nothing to me, he simply bought us drinks and peppersoup and told his driver to take us home. Mercy was pissed off with his attitude toward us but he simply told her to go home and that he would talk to her later.

I later revealed to Mercy that her favorite sugar daddy was my uncle. But she didn’t care, I told her to leave him alone but she refused. We almost became enemies because of it but that didn’t stop their affair…and I felt bad for my aunty. I felt bad for the women whose homes we were ruining. But i couldn’t say anything to my aunt, I couldn’t tell on my uncle because that would also mean exposing my secret.

But everything changed when a certain young man started falling for Mercy. He would follow her around campus begging her to go out with him, but Mercy always shunned him because she was into older men. One day he came to her hostel to look for her and...

Romance / Why Can't I Stop Thinking About My Ex-wife? I Want Her Back by ExploreFeelings(f): 9:48am On Apr 03, 2022
My marriage had ended just after 5 years of being together. I didn’t want to end things with my beautiful wife but we were constantly fighting and there was no moment of peace, so we decided to divorce each other. It was my suggestion that we go our separate ways and my wife agreed to it. I was free again! No more fighting and quarreling! And I can find new women to date or sleep with. I hadn’t felt so free for so long.
I started going out with new women, I was happy at first. I could stay out late without worrying about annoying my wife. I could go out with any woman I wanted without feeling like I was doing something wrong. But soon I started comparing these women with my ex-wife. They weren’t as pretty as her, the kind of connection I had with her I couldn’t feel it with these women. I was tired of the late nights, I wish there was someone to call me to come home early. I wish there was somebody waiting for me at home. What was going on with me? Was I still in love with my ex-wife? Why can’t I seem to forget her?
We have been divorced for more than 2 years and the kids usually come to visit me. During the first year my ex-wife had tried to reach out to me but I didn’t want anything to do with her. I was still enjoying my freedom. So, she stopped calling or even caring. The only thing that connected the two of us was our kids. A boy and a girl, one was 4 and the other was 6 years old. My ex-wife would drop them at my door without saying a word to me and I wouldn’t say anything to her either. Or I would pick them up from their street. It was a normal routine we were all used to, but I was becoming tired of it. I wanted my ex-wife to visit with the kids but I knew she wouldn’t agree. She had cut me off entirely after the first year of the divorce. I didn’t have any idea which house she was staying in or what she was doing. I only saw her when she came to drop off the kids.

This very Saturday morning when she came to drop our kids at my house, I didn’t let her go. She was looking even prettier now and I wanted to take her to our old room and make love to her. But she barely answered me. I told her she was shining and she smiled. It made me remember the first time I had made her and how she smiled when I asked her out. Why did I ever let her go? Why?
Every day she came to drop off our kids I will try to flirt with her but she would ignore me. And that was when I decided I must win her over again. I didn’t care if she had a new man in her life or not, I wanted her badly.
One fateful Saturday when I went to drop off my kids, I didn’t just drop them on the street, I followed them to their house. My wife opened the door and was surprised to see me standing at the door. The house was beautiful and I knew my wife couldn’t have afforded something so big on her own, something told me she had a man in her life but I didn’t care. I wanted her.
She invited me to the house and I sat down to talk to her. She was putting on a skimpy gown and I couldn’t just get my eyes off her body. She sent the kids into their room when she saw the way I was looking at her.
“Why have you come to our house today? What do you want?” she asked
“I feel like I made a mistake divorcing you, I want you back” I confessed
She simply laughed and touched my cheek. “You are looking really handsome, those women are taking good care of you”
“I want you back, no other woman but you” I begged and I don’t know what pushed me to go to her and start kissing her. She didn’t stop me, she looked at me like she wanted more! So, I didn’t stop.
“You shouldn’t have left me! No woman can make you feel things I make you feel. No woman can make you burn with desire like I do. Tell me you need me” She commanded
I repeated her words, I wanted her that badly. We started kissing and pulling off each other’s clothes. We didn’t care if anyone found us, we were just crazy…our emotions were controlling us. We were almost naked when we heard a loud knock.

Romance / She Lost Her Life For The Man She Loves by ExploreFeelings(f): 8:14pm On Mar 22, 2022
Smell My Fear

A short story

Claire knew something was up when James made love to her twice last night, even though he had been distant lately. She wanted to ask him why he was being so nice but she wanted him so badly that she had forgotten to ask. He had also urged her to drink some more wine. But she didn’t. Now, she was awake and staring through her window, she remembered his warning “Do not leave your room no matter what happens”
But that was more reason she hadn’t slept. She was a curious person and her curiosity always got the better of her. She could see exotic cars as they drove into the mansion. “It was 3. am” “What was James and his father up to?” “What sort of business was done so early in the morning?” She mused. Something was telling her to go out of her room and find out. But James had warned her not to. She paced around trying to make up her mind, then she peered through the window again and she could see James greeting some men. “What were they doing?” She wanted to know so badly.
She had always had her suspicion about James’ father, and how wealthy he was. Now, she was going to find what he was hiding and once she did, she would leave Nigeria. Once outside, she can expose him.
Read also I Wish I Never Met My Friend
She tiptoed out of her room, the passage was lit with a dark red bulb so it was dim even though she could see where she was headed. She just hoped no one would see her. What kind of secret would she find out? She may be in danger if she found out their secret, whatever it was.
She could hear strange voices coming from James’ father’s Study room. They were not Nigerians. They were foreigners…one sounded Arabian and the other had a deep Russian accent.
“What were they up to?” She wondered. She moved closer to the door to hear what they were saying. They were arguing about business, but what business was it?. She was growing impatient! Maybe there was nothing to find out. She wanted to tiptoe back to her room when she heard the Arabian complaining about coming down to Nigeria for business. From what she could hear he was a prince. “What did a prince want with a Nigerian entrepreneur?” “Maybe oil, she knew James father dealt in oil sales and production”
But the next thing she heard shocked her. She froze at that spot unable to move. Her heart was beating. How could James be a part of this? Now, she would be in trouble if anyone found her. She couldn’t believe James was part of this sort of inhumanity. Oh no! And she really liked him. She dreamt of a future with him. Now, what was she going to do? Pretend none of this happened? She didn’t know for now. She had to go back to sleep and pretend everything was normal.
She turned to move, then she sensed a presence…she had been caught! She was dead! Before she could move any further, a huge hand covered her nose, then she passed out.
She woke up tied to a chair in an empty room. She looked around in fear.

Romance / My Best Friend Stole My Man From Me: I Wish I Never Met Her by ExploreFeelings(f): 3:23pm On Mar 18, 2022
Before I start my story, I need to ask you this question….Is it wrong for your man to be friends with your best friend? Is it wrong to leave them all alone because you trust they wouldn’t hurt You? Is it bad to let your man to be close to your friend? Tell me your answers in the comment section.

Now, let me begin my story. I regret the day I met Mirabel and I curse the day we became best friends. I and Mirable are not just any kinds of friends, we are very tight friends, we’ve been friends since right from secondary school. And somehow we got admitted into the same university…well that made our friendship grow even stronger. But right now, I wish I had never met Mirabel…the jezebel who stole the only man that ever loved me. But I’m the one to blame, I was the one that brought them so close. Now, she’s somewhere having a good time with my man.

I don’t want to cry, I have been crying for weeks while they enjoyed themselves together. They were happy together. And it all started when I asked Mirable to escort me to my guy’s house. We were university babes, so it was normal to visit our boyfriends during the weekend. Mirable had no boyfriend yet, not because she was ugly but because she was too selective. Well, because she had no boyfriend, I would take her along whenever I was visiting my boyfriend. I seriously didn’t see anything wrong with it. She was my friend and I wanted to go everywhere with her. Even though my boyfriend wasn’t comfortable with her always tagging along, I would warn him to stop complaining. Mirable was my friend and there was nothing wrong with her following me to my boyfriend’s home. I trusted her so much. She wasn’t the immoral type of girl.

Whenever we came back from our visits Mirabel would insult my boyfriend and tell me how much she disliked him. I didn’t understand why she hated him, and I wanted them to be on good terms by all means. Even my boyfriend disliked Mirable because she barely gave us the privacy we needed as a couple. I’m still surprised that the two people who hated each other so much are now lovers. They had been deceiving me all along.
Well, I kept on taking Mirabel to almost every date I went to with Justin my boyfriend. And any time I didn’t go with her, she would be angry with me. She would tell me that I was selfish and didn’t care about her. That I left her all by herself while I had fun with my boyfriend.

I didn’t want to lose her friendship so I started taking her almost every time to see my boyfriend. I know how bad she must feel because she didn’t have a man of her own. And I didn’t want to make her feel bad by flaunting my relationship in her face or keeping it away from her. She knew everything about my relationship and I felt that made our friendship stronger.

Soon, I started noticing that my friend and my boyfriend were getting closer to each other, they even played with each other and at first, I was happy they were on good terms. But their playfulness with each other was becoming too much, they were always discussing football and leaving me out of the conversation. Whenever my boyfriend held me or kissed me my friend would be angry like I was trying to make her jealous. My boyfriend on the other hand always asked after her or called her sweet names, all in name of friendship. I was beginning to get jealous of their relationship. What have I caused for myself? She would even call him her darling but later apologize to me that she was just joking. But I knew it wasn’t, I could sense their connection to each other. I complained to my boyfriend about his weird closeness to my friend and he told me I was being insecure.

Well, because of all these, I stopped carrying my friend along whenever I went out with my boyfriend. She would jokingly ask me if she could come along whenever I was going out and I would say No. Well, I was shocked one day when I gave my boyfriend a surprise visit and I saw Mirabel in my Boyfriend’s room. They were both alone in his room…my heart was pounding. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I went straight to where Mirabel was and dragged her out to question her.

“What are you doing in my boyfriend’s house? Tell me now”
