tombraokoto: We all know that the struggle for biafra is all about control of the oil, land and sea of the SS minorities in Nigeria who aren't igbos. The game of the igbos is to wrestle it from the reach of Nigerians and have it to themselves alone in a country where they can muzzle the minorities with their population.
They claim they will have a constitution which allows for 100% resource control. So funny . A constitution that can be erased at the drop of a hat just as they stopped Nigeria's flourishing regionalism through a bloody coup.
If they so much love the SS by promising them 100% resource control, why not love them enough to let them be or have their own country without being with the ibos in a biafra which will seem like a mini-Nigeria where they won't have another majority tribe to run to should the igbos oppressed too much.
The new mantra of the igbos is 'give us referendum like it was given to the scots'. One would think they want the referendum to hold only in SE igbo land.
We all saw how they used buses to export igbos from SouthEast to South South cities like yenegoa, PH, asaba etc to protest, making it look like it was the SS minorities that were protesting in support of biafra.
Now, they want UN to hold a referendum in SE and SS. Their game plan is to export their sons and daughters from not only SouthEast, but also the North and SouthWest straight to the South South cities to vote for biafra the same way they exported them during their protests. This will give the impression that the SS wants biafra cos we all know the huge population of igbos outside igbo land. That is what I call being clever by half.
If the FG must allow igbos go, no inch of SS land should be forfeited to them. Prevent them from having SS minorities, then watch the agitation fizzle out. are you not ashamed of yourself? don't you get tired of this nonsense? are you the only one in rivers state and ss at large? I am igbo and from rivers state but not as foolishly loud as you are. there is large Igbo population in ss even your President acknowledged that, if you want to form your own country then restrict it to I jaw and whoever that is interested. I am tired of these childish behaviours you just displayed your age and how idle you are. there is practically nothing I jaw have that Igbo do not have. is it oil, money, human resources or whatever. the tribes are not competing because they are not equals. just go get a life bro |

chiedu7: Generally a good write up but for
In this age that most software are 64bit, getting a machine with just 4GB of ram is like driving on a single carriage road instead of dual carriage or higher! Speed is really restricted on single carriage road.
Likewise for 64bit machines which are now the standard, getting anything less than 6GB is simply putting bumps in your way. 8GB is ideal for most people but certainly not 4GB.
If you are gonna do things like Photoshop get at least 8GB. but my guy is using 2GB ram laptop for Photoshop and It is working perfectly for him. mokoshalb, I have a HP elite book laptop, 64 bit window 8.1(upgraded, initially windows 7) 2.53GHz processor, 300GB hard drive. upgraded VGU. pls is the laptop suitable for auto card? |

OkutaNla: Wasn't she the most powerful minister during GEJ admin? Sotay some were even calling her "Prime Minister". She had so much power and influence that there's absolutely NO WAY in hell that she didn't know about all the thievery going on in that administration as Finance Minister who signs off on all financial matters at the centre. That alone has soiled her image for good. Of course there are other many allegations against her stewardship. And yet many international firms, govts and organizations are seeking for her. like it is said in the bible " a prophet is not valued in her home town. who brought the idea of excess crude account? the sovereign wealth fund which was used to bail out States? she formulated policies that kept the country going unlike what we have now from a mere commissioner of finance as experience |

Nigeria should swallow her pride and appoint okonjo iweala. we need her now more than ever. our current finance minister is clueless and daft. we all know that Igbos are naturally good managers and we also know what happened to the companies that fell victim indigenization policy. professionalism should supersede tribalism and party.
Ogun economy is not thesame with Nigeria's economy. |

Politics › Re: The Igbo Community In Edo State:igbo Akiri by ExplorerReturns(m): 3:23am On Jan 22, 2016 |
laribari: This is very interesting and funny to me digging into these things because it feels like when those white (half cast) people are tracing their root........lol.
Well i'm not really bothered about the change of name be it Igbanke (Edo) or Igbo akiri (Igbo) because that can change pending on the region you are in, since everyone will want to call it their own way. There is another one which is Omolua (Edo) or Umuolua (Igbo) but i will prefer to stay in the middle to avoid controversy and the middle is where we really fit in which is Anioma, although that is more Igbo.
Ika is subdivided just like Igbo language too, so there is slight difference btw Igbanke Ika and Agbor Ika but you will understand 100% what each person is saying. Geographically we are nearest to Agbor than any bini town. The bini might be our founding fathers based on ancestry just like they founded itshekiri but that doesn't make us Edo (Geographically).
I am a first class indigene of Igbanke from Omolua as it or Igbo akiri from Umoulua village (whatever). I'm in my late 30s and what i have always known our king to be called from childhood till date is Eze ( Eze Umuolua) even though most of us call it Omolua. we used to visit the palace whenever we travel. I attended the university of Benin so i know plenty about benin too but my going there was not because we were ceded in Edo State, after all my Dad wanted me in Unilag.
However, i'm naturally at home with Anioma people mainly because of my IKA-ANIOMA LANGUAGE, style of music, cultural attire and way of life with no affiliation to bini which i still do not speak or understand despite living in the town in the past. I have flair for languages but struggling to even understand bini.
We from Igbanke see Agbor as our big brother and that is where we go shopping back in the day. To be honest, Agbor is about 10 mins drive from my village.
Naturally (without struggle) all Igbanke people understand central Igbo language and many of us also speak the central Anioma tongue which i love so much because there is no struggling with it.
I have heard the whole story concerning Ogbemumia and how Igbanke became Edo but most youth of today we are not comfortable in EDO and some of my Yoruba friends in secondary school days jokingly call us slaves because we speak delta, yet being trapped in Edo but that is what it seems. when people ask us where we are from we just say Agbor just to spell us the whole question and answer thing because if you start to speak Ika then i and my brothers can respond better.
whether the Oba of Benin calls the king of Igbanke as enogie does not matter but what the indigenes calls their king is what counts. To call the king an Enogie is expected because he will adopt a bini name and title being that he finds himself under Edo state but ask any Igbanke person (first hand) what we call the king, then you will be told it is Eze because naturally we can relate with that. In my village it is called Eze Omolua. My uncle's name is also Ezewani meaning "the land belongs to the king". In terms of names, we bear Ika-Anioma names and Edo names which for me does not matter because somethings can influence that.
If you ask Igbanke youths out there, none of them will go with Bini because already Agbor and the Ika town is a big influence on us. We have been with Bini since but no affiliation to be honest.
However, i remain a NIgerian. I love this. I love people who are proud of their Igbo origin. though you people are unfortunate to be in Edo just like Igbos of kogi and Benue. we are fortunate in rivers state because the I jaws were driven to bayelsa and we have the numbers |

TippyTop: Communism "a theory or system of social organization in which all property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their ability and needs"
China or Russia don't practice Communism. Boris Yetsin ended it in Russia, am not sure who ended it in China. It's a failed system, countries that practice communism are abandoning it, why should we try a failed system? that is a very shallow definition of communism. over 90% of companies in China are owned by the government. communism has transformed beyond your definition into something more modern that suites development. Russia is not communist but socialist, USSR comes to mind. |
Politics › Re: What If We Practice Communism Instead Of Democracy by ExplorerReturns(m): 9:20pm On Jan 21, 2016 |
TippyTop: Where did communism lead China, Cuba, South Korea etc?
China abandoned communism for a reason. China did not abandon communism. it eradicates corruption last two years the chief of army staff of China was imprisoned after his tenure for corruption and selling of classified national information. democracy is a means used by Western govts to control and monitor the development of weaker nations. I would like Nigeria to practice communism but it is not at the interest of my Igbo nation. that means that the oligarchs would have sovereign control control over us intact it is the easiest way to islamized Nigeria@Spanishkid |
