Some pastors have found outrageous ways to milk money from people or have created barbaric cultures that make no sense at all.

Due to desperate times, when people have needed miracles, they have either ended up eating grass or doing some unfathomable things.

People crowded around TVs and rushed to grab newspapers to take in the extraordinary news that took the world by surprise.

Others packed city squares and cheered as the agreement was announced.

'In theory, we have an armistice but the atmosphere... is actually quite frightening when there's nuclear tests and missile launches,' Jang Gyu-won, 23, told CNN.

The deal also paved the way for families separated by the split up of Korea to be reunited, and for citizens to freely travel between the two countries.

Usually when South Koreans see Kim Jong-Un's face plastered on news billboards it fills them with the dread a potentially devastating war.

But on Friday the unthinkable happened the two Koreas pledged to end more than 60 years of hostility and de-nuclearise the peninsula.

Suddenly ordinary Koreans who grew up knowing nothing but tension from the north were cautiously optimistic about a peaceful future.

Until your government wake up to its responsibilities, your country will continue to be a dumping ground for salvage cars.

It'd be really shameful if that mess of a car was actually cleared by officials of the Nigerian customs in its damaged state.
We're not even fighting against salvage because clean cars are expensive and we're not there to manufacture ourselves.

Issues is importers/dealers that are bringing in salvage cars are them branding them and selling them as clean.

Just a thought.
Some said with my quote, the dealer is good to go, despite lying to the buyer that the car has never been touched.

The reason i came up with this.

Did you realise that most Japanese cars have this issue? It's rare to see this complaints in Europeans and America cars. Just my observation though or what do u think?
The reason is patronage or demand.

German and American cars most times are for the few that are rich.

But Japanese and others are for everyone. They have cars for the rich, middle class or average people. The demand is high that's why issues like these comes often.

Lesson learnt from both threads. I would be extra vigilant when am about to purchase my car.
Sure, some salvaged cars are very ok with little collision or damage.

I can purchase like this car in the first image where yoy just need to replace the bumper, headlamps, fender or bonnet, and little panel beating and spraying.

Imagine the second imagine, some worse cars that are certified non-repairable on the site will be shipped down to Nigeria. They will cut it, weld, spray it and tag it Accident free.

What about easy access to bank loans by civil servants + civil servants do cooperative contributions.
Yes all bank can bring loan to the Office anytime, you can even go to bank with yout payslip, last promotion letter for loan. Those documents will determine how much they can loan you.

Cooperative is a must where i am, you get car loan, housing loan from them and they deduct from your salary.

Some people are just so dumb and annoying.

What is the grade level of the papa? How much is his salary? Does he not eat, pay rent, attend parties etc?
Who is fooling who?
Is it that he has been scammed in the same manner that he scams others for corruption money at his civil servants’ deskhuh
Actually i dont really quote people like you.

You should have asked is he working with the Federal govt or state.

Is he buying from his savings alone or with cooperative loan payable in 3yrs.

For your information, he's working the federal government on Contediss 14.

In a tertiary institution where he treat mails from employees.

Not in the busary or works or where they deal with cash.

In that division, corruption is not existing.

There is access to loan.

Yes, the Seller should have provided full disclosure about the car but he did not. Most car dealers here in Nigeria rarely come out clean about the true condition of the cars on their stand.

However the onus lies on the buyer to carry out a thorough background check on any vehicle before paying for it. But most of us are always in a hurry to pay and later develop 'buyer's remorse'.

I feel sorry for the buyer though.

Have you approached the Seller about your findings on the said vehicle?

It's called business, as a businessman, is your money or your capital. You buy, you sell or resell at any price of your choice.

Not anybody's business but yours.

What about letting the buyer know exactly what he's buyinghuh

Can still remember the face the dealer made when the question was put him that what have you replaced in this vehicle?

Responding to the question, he said nothing, the car came into the country like that clean untouched.

I talked to some people about VIN yesterday, but they don't know it, like hearing from me for the first time and they are all car owners.

That's the reason why people can easily be deceived there.

Who am i to against salvage business or it importationhuh

Is a business, but is all about full disclosure and letting the buyers know what they're paying for.

This vehicle had accident or flooded but has been fixed perfectly.

They walk away because of the history, some will walk in and pay and everybody go home happy.

Why advertise a car to be clean, accident free and the history says something elsehuh

walahi, human beings are wicked. I will not advice anyone to buy a vehicle from US without knowing the history. Even if it's a repaired vehicle, the damage should not be this extensive. My neighbour also bought a corolla of this kind 2 weeks ago and every indication tells me it's an accidented vehicle.
I am feeling very sad for the Baba right now. This seems like it happened in Akure. You must tell the Baba and let him involve the police. But there is very little that can be done here. Over a year now, the old man has been working to own a 2008 Corolla due to the low fuel consumption.

We both talked about the car several times and because of the price, he went for a 2006.

So papa, a boss and also a father brought this Corolla to the office on Monday with dealer claiming papa is very lucky to get a clean title and accident free car like this.

Congratulations sir! congratulations sir!! everywhere(Civil servant na)

Sir, how much did you get it?

He said over 2.2m.

But i noticed that the bumper, headlamps and the grill are kind of not in line(Space between them).

So i shot the vin, the first picture and brought it to one of my thread for assistance(cosplay).

And i got this result.

Kim Jong-un has become the first North Korean leader to step into the South for 65 years as he met with President Moon Jae-in for a historic peace summit on Friday.

The dictator crossed the 38th parallel and warmly shook hands with his sworn enemy before both men walked side-by-side to a welcome ceremony attended by flamboyantly-dressed South Korean soldiers.

Moving on to the truce village of Panmunjom, Kim signed the guest book at the Peace House, which will be the venue for talks focusing on whether the North can be persuaded to give up its nuclear bombs.

'New history starts from now, at the historic starting point of an era of peace,' he wrote.

In televised talks shortly afterwards, Kim said he was ready for 'heartfelt, sincere and honest' discussions with Moon, although he did not mention denuclearization.
