The issue of bricking rooted phones during OTA didn't start with Xiaomi anyway.

Why do you want to root?

If I were u sha I would download the whole rom (not update dt pops on my phone) and flashed with Orange fox recovery. Finally reflash the magisk zip file to regain root access.

Sir you mean it is safe to unlock the bootloader and root, if there is an update; instead of updating via OTA, instead, I should download the whole rom that has the new update and flash via orange reocovery and flash magisk again to regain root?
I'd want to root because am an android enthusiast and so love playing with android phones and also extend the phones capabilities like using gcam and co.

Am about acquiring redmi note 9 pro 6/128gb global version; will unlocking bootloader and rooting with magisk cause problems if I do OTA update?
Am asking because in the past, I witnessed people bricking their xiaomi phones after rooting the device and doing OTA update, is the problem still there?

It is only death that is an emergency for a money kept for a gadget that will be obsolete after 2 years. Am not that disciplined but I have this mental picture that is distressing that I have to continue with a gadget am tired of and find no intrigue in again.

I plugged my follow come charger to some generator and puff it started smoking grey fume with a pungent burning smell, but I immediately unplugged it, allowed it cool down and replugged it with shaking hands and it still was charging my phone but now was making a hissing sound. Now I had no money to change charger and the love of that my charger made me to care less to change it so I continued using it like that.

Next I noticed was that the hissing sound only start when the charger became warm during charging, it wasn't charging fast like before and if I was charging and using my phone, the charge either remained static or declined with time, so to charge full, I'djhave to either switch off or leave the phone alone. The most annoying was that my phone battery wasn't lasting anymore, it barely stayed a day even overnight as I have a habit of using my phone to cause myself to sleep at night.

Now, I had to buy this xindi charger, a funny name for 2400 naira, since I started using it, it charges super fast and now my battery behaves like it use to formally like lasting well and all that.
Mind you am using redmi 6 pro(chinese version) and its over 2 years.

I've been saving mine for 2 years when I bought my redmi 6 pro cos I know it will expire now. Once I get the 9 pro I'll start saving again for next two years.

Yes, I am a dumbass I dont know much about the phone. Only reading about it online doesn't give the full picture, you might have actually use it and have a better insight.

Like they think people just want to chat them for the fun of it. (This is my experience from chatting with 3 sellers fron here) change your ways, because you don't know much about marketing since this product are basically selling themselves due to the brand; so don't undermine people.
