I bought a car at an auction site in USA nd was shipped to Nigeria through Grimaldi. When d car arrived here, the car keys were missing meanwhile the keys were there at the auction site and the driver dat took the car to the port in the States confirmed that the keys were there.

Surprisingly, I am getting this kind of trash from Grimaldi dat I hav always believed is reliable.

How do I go about this to recover the car keys? Any suggestions, pls! Thanks

Oga this happens thousands of times. Its a pity that's how bad things have gone in this country and our ports. My best advise is that you go get ur keys replaced by the Ladipo guys. I hope ur key is not one of those that are da bomb as regards to price

4 payment for clearance when if get to Lagos.
When buying a car make sure you are buying a car that has a value here in Nigeria so that you will not feel the clearance fee much

Never can he get GS300 for 2.4m. The least you can get is 4m. There is no 2008 GS300, it only has 2006 Lexus GS300 then 2007-2010 Lexus GS350 which share the same body but different engine capacity

Most of us did and still do the car business by the side, go to any auction it is always filled with 50% Nigerians, i still buy cars for people or give my login to be used and take the fee for using it. I know you can bid from anywhwhere and anytime, but the allure of being on ground and seeing cars is real. You can buy from your toilet seat or while making love, but do not mention going to the auction next time simple.

The amount is not too small in any way for tourism,how many Americans have 10k in their accts? or how many have even visited the next state closest to them?. Always keep the answer to some 2 edged questions short and simple. No need mentioning he will be going to the auction for fun, as a business man he might be tempted to do business if he finds a car on sale at a cheap rate.

Whether at the auction or online, I can use my device to bid. So either at live auction,in the hotel, restaurant, church, if I see any cheap car, I buy with my device online

My transcript goes thus;

Me: New York

Me: I am the Managing director of .... and we do car importation and sales from US
VO: Have you traveled out of Nigeria before?
Me: Not at all
VO: Do you have friends or family in the US
Me: Friends
VO: Do you intend to do any business in US?
Me: Well as an online buyer from IAA Auctions in US, I might take time out to visit two Auction locations in NY just for fun.
VO: How many cars have you imported from US?
Me: Over 60 cars this year alone
VO: How much do you intend to travel with on ur trip?
Me: about $10k
VO: I am sorry you are not approved for US Visa bla bla... and hands me the blue paper and my passport

Note: My passport is virgin. The lady was busy refusing people and I was praying on the queue that they shouldn't direct me to her and they did. Lessons learnt and experience acquired. I will try visiting UK before US again.
