Biakwa:Where? You can resend. I just changed my nairaland email |
Chiggsglover:We have called and called and called more than 30 times, they kept saying they will notify us once there is a decision. My wife's own has been issued about nearly 2 months ago and she has traveled. My anger is we have an 11 month old baby who is here without the mother for 2 months now. At a time the last email they replied was on October 3rd 2019. The last call to the Embassy last two weeks, they said they had some changes in personnel and processes but that someone has been assigned to look into our case. Even somewhere in September, they said my first son who is 5years plus and VFS didnt capture his biometrics should be brought to Abuja for biometrics. We brought him to Abuja, yet the VFS couldnt capture him as their system was programmed to capture 6years upwards. We had to contact the Irish consular while still there at VFS and they told us to go back to our base that they will make an exemption for my son while they will come back to reprogram VFS system. The last person we spoke with whom I guess is a Nigerian working at the Abuja Embassy, told us to exercise a little patience as he wouldn't want the oyibo in charge of our application to feel he is being pressured which may affect the decision. That's where we are stuck. We don't know what they are waiting for and how long they will wait for it. They didn't ask for any further documents or clarification. It's 16 weeks now |
olajimii:I agree with you. Our Join family application has been at the Abuja Embassy of Ireland since July 25th, 2019 till this moment. They kept saying application is still undergoing some checks. This week will make it 16 weeks for us |
imagbudufaith1:8 weeks |
Hello Everyone. I have been a silent reader on this forum. Most of the posts I see here are for study visas. Actually my wife is a nurse and got an employment with one of the biggest private hospital in Ireland after obtaining her nursing PIN. The hospital got her a critical skills employment permit which enables her to apply for visa with her family immediately, which we did on the 24th of July 2019. My wife's application was for employment while that of me and our four kids were for join family. My wife's visa has been issued and she traveled to Dublin to resume work but the embassy is yet to release ours. They said the application is undergoing some checks and next four days makes it 3 months whereas they said visa application will take about 8 weeks. Our application is being processed at Abuja Embassy. |
It's because they earn a living with their bodies. So any broke and unemployed man doesn't deserve them QED |
Nice piece |
Tell them |
I dey your back bros. I am an aspiring pilot too. Currently doing my EASA PPL in Dublin. Please Mods, give us an aviation section on Nairaland, it will be very educational and interesting at the same time |
This obviously looks like the Boeing 737-500, and for the records despite the software issues for 737 Max 8,9 and 10, the 737 family of Boeing aircraft and Airbus A320/321 remains the most widely used narrow body aircraft in commercial airline services |
folarr:That's nice they are getting there small small. They should consider Boeing 737s. The CRJs at least are more recent than the Douglas MD83s that Dana Air is using which are as old as my father |
MrTrend:They are recruting captains and first officers with just one Bombardier CRJ 900 aircraft they have. Who has been flying the aircraft before now or are they looking at acquiring more aircrafts? Ordinarily Ibom Air is not supposed to operate scheduled flight services just with one aircraft. It is not practiced anywhere in the world. They should only be able to do charter services. There will be a lot of stress on the aircraft and assuming there is an extensive maintenance scheduled for the single aircraft,it means all flight operations will be suspended. Sometimes I look at NCAA and laugh at the joke of regulatory body At least they should acquire some Boeing 737-300,-400 or -500 from 1990s which costs between $3.5m to $4m. They should be able to do that being the highest oil producing state. Even if they can't buy, there are lease options for aircrafts which runs from $2,500 per Business hour and maximum of 180hrs per month. In the absence of that,I think they might just be joking. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibom_Air |
GAZZUZZ:Boss man even you? |
perryy:I am really sorry at your predicament but I won't generalize this issue. I married a nurse 8 years ago and till now she is the best thing that happened to my life. Give me the opportunity to marry 10 times and I will marry her over and over again |

presiade:so what's your advice? |
I was denied today at Lagos. Transcript goes thus; Me: Good morning VO: (didn't reply) Asks for passport and i-20 Me: Passed on requested docs VO: Why M-1 visa Me: Its vocational training (Aircraft Pilot) VO: What do you do? Me: Am the managing director xyz firm and we do business VO: What do you sell? Me: Office and Home furnitures we import and clear too VO: Cuts in...Why study aircraft pilot now? Me: I don't have sponsorship and program is quite expensive, so it took me time to be financially prepared for this since I am financing myself VO:What do you want to do with the training? Me: I want to work as an ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) VO: You import cars too? Me: I used to but business wasn't favourable so I quit VO: Reaches for and hands me a blue paper and you know the rest. Note: I went for B1/B2 Last year June and was denied. then I wrote car importation and sales as major business. I waited for one year before enrolling for a flight training school so that this car dealer thing won't pop up, but it still did. I guess that reason for denial. I am going to wait for a month and try again. My Pilot program starts on October 1st |
I am having my interview tomorrow August 4th for M-1 visa, I pray it can only get well. I am going for my PPL |
Hustlersdiary:That's not a Bentley, its a 2013/2014 Ford Mustang GT |
Mandrake007:I quite agree with you. All these incidents they try as much to cover up. I am still surprised that till now on Nairaland or anywhere, it was not reported that a catastrophe was averted by God's intervention on Wednesday 7th March 2018. An Air peace Boeing aircraft named OBINNA, flying from Enugu to Lagos on the said day by 07:00hrs,immediately on taking off from the airport with the front tyre up already, lost an engine and the pilot was forced to abort take off. They said the engine failure is as a result of bird strike and the aircraft was grounded. Even till about 13:30hrs the whole passengers are still stranded at the airport. Its sad having to fly with your blood pressure shooting high to the heavens. I was flying Arik that day by 12:25hrs from Enugu to Lagos, and after seeing the aircraft at the Enugu airport and interacting with the stranded passengers who were onboard that aircraft, I had to close my eyes and fly to Lagos that day but not without the highest level of blood pressure |
olamilarks:I have a nice hire purchase car to put in Uber/Taxify. But Gazzuz will be involved should we deal. Its a Tokunbo 2004 Toyota corolla |
MissRaine69:Well spoken dear. One bottle of Alomo, Monkey tail and paraga for you |
