PoliticsRe: Egypt Ordered Nigerian Students Back To Sudan Over ‘Unruly Conduct’ by ExpressBooking(m): 1:48pm On May 05, 2023

Unruly conduct it must be eastheners always boastful and lack manners
Easterners must surely have the least population in Sudan. Easterners have a greater motivation to travel abroad and mostly Sudan won't likely be their destination. We know the people that go to Sudan and why they go to Sudan. We look for greener pastures not just any pasture

FamilyRe: My Dad Insists That My Fiancée Must Take Fertility Test Before Marriage by ExpressBooking(m): 4:05am On May 03, 2023
Well I'd like to ask if you are the one marrying or your dad?

Your dad's role in your marriage at 38, should me advisory.

Does your dad want you to get married for the purpose of happiness and companionship or for the purpose of reproduction?

What do you want for yourself?.

Forcing or coercing the prospective wife to do a fertility test, might send the wrong reasons about the marriage to her. And trust me she will discuss it with people who will put such thoughts in her head, even if she wasn't that kind of person.

Equally be assured that if you choose to go ahead with ur marriage plans, and encounter fertility issues tomorrow, you won't dare speak to your family about it, it's your cross alone.

It all boils down to taking your decision for or against it, and standing by your decision. That's what makes you a man

Hi everyone.

I am married with a toddler. I have read so many bad news as regards Ph.D. Visa to Ireland and it's so discouraging considering the fact that securing a PhD position in Ireland is less competitive than in other countries. Please, I need some clarifications on:

If I secure full funding for the four years and apply at the same time with my two dependants, what are our chances of being approved?

How much do we need as POF?

Can my husband work in Ireland?

What's the processing time for such visa type?

Which of these three schools would you recommend for a Ph.D. in Social Sciences? Maynooth, Limerick, and Galway- in terms of quality, affordability of daycare centres, accommodation, scholarships, job opportunities, black communities, cost of living and standard of living.
I laugh when you ask cost of daycare centers. What you will pay for 2 children will shock you. Assume you got a minder or carer for €10 per hour and she does 8hrs for you a day and for 5 days a week, that's €400 per week and €1600 per month. That is if you are lucky to find someone who doesn't charge you per child.
So you and your spouse should perish that idea of daycare center and rather plan to share ur times and turns in minding ur kids.
Maynooth is closer to Dublin. Galway is on the West and lovely, Limerick is down south and good as well. But rent and cost of living is better away from Dublin and Cork

This is pure open daylight robbery

The youths are coming for them

It will happen so fast that they will not be able to escape

Massive Nationwide riots loading

Just wait for INEC to announce the results

220,000,000 people and how many soldiers do we have in the arm forces less than 5,000,000.

The security forces can NEVER crush over 220,000,000 Nigerians

Let that sink
The whole security forces in Nigeria are not more than 1.5 million. Both Army, Navy, Airforce, Police, immigration, customs, prisons, road safety, civil defence. That's against 220 million plus persons.

The worst is that African continent can't contain the refugees if anything happens in Nigeria

Abiodunstephen:
Church started in a normal ways, after Sunday school class the main service began.
Praise and worship was so amazing, we dance and praise God in unusual way.
Immediately after praise and worship, Offering and tithe follow and service was getting shape.

The next thing on the service was for the daddy G.O to come to the alter and lead some prayer but when Papa came he started with the topic of whom to vote and how he want the congregation to vote, I was like this is unusual of daddy G.O to be talking about the politics on the pulpit but daddy G.O keep saying vote for the man that has interest of Nigerian, do not vote any old man because is your tribes man.
One church man now asked that please sir who should we vote? pastor was like I think Peter Obi should be the best.
Immediately he pronounce that most member walked away from church with anger that pastor should stop that otherwise they will not attend the church again that they are for Tinubu and nobody can change their mind on that.
Spin doctor. You can do better

Sir, I am trying to reserve a room for 6 months starting Sept. in Hosting Power, but landlords keep declining my offer.

Please do you know the reason or any suggestions??
I don't know why, but there is a great housing crisis at the moment. And most landlords are very selective now

Thank you for your response. For her settling please.... As a new person in the system, there are definitely things she needs to know.
First thing is to book an appointment with Drogheda GNIB for IRP registration. The GNIB is located at Drogheda Garda Station, behind the District Court. Then she has to apply online to Intreo office for her PPS number and when she has it, she can visit Drogheda Intreo office opposite scotch Hall shopping centre, Marsh Road, Drogheda to apply for Public Services Card.

She equally needs to register online on leapcard website to get her leap card for bus services. For bank accounts, depending on where she lives, options ranges from PTSB, BOI and AIB banks. She can equally register for Revolut or Transfer Wise when she gets her IRP.

There is African shop(Abbey shop) at the entrance of the district court by the town centre there and one again (Noor shop) by the side of Louth County Council office on Laurence Street I guess.

For cheap clothing and wears, Penneys(Primark) on Francis Street and Dunnes Stores at scotch Hall shopping center to the rescue.
For Telephone calls and mobile data she can get a quick fix in Lycamobile, but must have to change to eir, Vodafone, Tesco mobile, 3, or something else later.

If she lives close to Tesco or Lidl, she can register for Tesco clubcard or Lidl plus to get points on her purchases which can be used as voucher in the future.

While doing this she will get to meet with other people as well and integrate

Based on the statements or comments in your refusal letter I don’t think appeal will have any effect in this particular case.

All you need to do is study the refusal letter and make sure you address those issues in your next application.

Note: I am not an agent or immigration expert. This is just my personal opinion.
Well said. The reasons are so many to turn around with an appeal.

Some of these churches that allow Peter Obi campaign on their altars also preach against alcohol. Do they know that Obi is the number one beer merchant in Nigeria? How do they reconcile this with their promotion of his campaign? May church never become beer parlour!
If your problem in Nigeria is with who sells beer, then i dont think you live in this Nigeria. Nigeria needs an all round solution in every facet of life. And if your only problem is beer, then my friend you don't have any problem

What's the average house rent in Dublin for a two rooms apartment?

Is it easy to find a job for example in IT? Work permit is not an issue.

How many months rent to landlords collect 1 month plus deposit?
Any house in Ireland is not for the weak. Its not about price, rather the availability

Sometimes I wonder if many of you on Nairaland think you are more knowledgeable than people who are at the fore front of certain matters.

So you think people responsible for this license don't know? Or you just want to show that you know some things?
Did you get to read the part I wrote "not so sure".
Car TalkRe: Lagos Begins Issuing International Driver’s Permit by ExpressBooking(m): 12:07pm On Dec 02, 2022
You don't wake up and decide to issue international driving permit, Nigeria must have to be a party to the convention on international driving licence/permit. I think there are two conventions on that and I don't know if Nigeria belongs to any nor have ratified any. Not so sure
