Bigsin: I ventured into ebook and paperback publishing about three months ago. My desired marketplace was Amazon. I encouraged myself to take the route of an author after doing a lot of research and watching a lot of tutorial videos on YouTube. However, Amazon kept blocking my paperback, ebook and hardcovers. I mean, the books don't even go 'live' before being blocked. I used a pen name for the two books and they were college related books. You know, the "how to be the best" kinda thing. The audience I had in mind were Parents who would be convinced to buy it for their kids in Highschool or in the university. Amazon has blocked my book about 17 times. So, I gave up and tried Selar. Good gracious, I doubt if I would ever get to sell anything there (Especially to Nigerians in this present economy). I'm not a big fan of ebooks. My hope was in Amazon's paperback as they have more prompt to be bought as gifts or even by bookshop via expansion distribution. Currently, I'm at a crossroad (if that's the word for it). I took a bow from college at 300lv in '024 because of insufficient funds. Been travelling in search of greener pastures since then. Now, I'm back at mom's. I saw a post you made about writing contents and getting paid. Would you mind putting me through it please? I can work with or for you. Anyone you seem fit. I am on my own in life right now. (Except for my chickens) My English is not very bad. I think... Average. Been speaking it since I was five as mom was an English teacher. I'll be very grateful if my request is favourably considered. Selar only help you to collect money and deliver your product. It doesn't sell. You have to promote and bring in buyers yourself. That's how selar works. But the most important thing is that you don't just write a book for people to buy. It doesn't work that way. What works? Take your time, search for what people are looking for to solve there problems, then write on that. Show them how to solve that problem and they will buy. So just get in touch with me. |

But another important thing, even your own mindset is warped, as your mind tells you "babes plenty" means I'm talking about prostitutes. Maybe you patronise them anyway. Re-orientate your mindset bro. Thanks. Well, I don't imply prostitutes in my reply. But let me use this opportunity to tell you that marriageable girls are very scarce. When you come across one, hold her and treat her well because I know that you're not married. One of my friends was giving 6 month leave to go and look for a wife. After 6 months, he couldn't find anyone. No worry na when it reach your turn to marry you go know say it is easier to make one million Naira than to find a wife. It is then that you will know why the op is crying. |

Babes plenty? Go to Oshodi and pick just one. Then when you come back you tell us how far? The op has every reason to cry. Though it was his fault. |

Always the same story of an ambush. Why would our security men not be conscious of this ambush when they are in the enemy territory? Why won't they change their tactics in this fight against insecurity? There are many technologies out there that can help the country to defeat this insecurity, but one keeps wondering why the government is not applying them. From my base in Lagos, I monitor what happens in my compound in the East. I can eliminate any trespassers if I want to. Plenty of technologies can tame this insecurity. Everything is not about how much money one can steal . The government should wake up because the Boko Haram, bandits, and kidnappers are having the upper hand. It should not be so. |

nairalandadeux: Want a better health care system?
You have too agree that we can't have a good healthcare system. Not on this Budget
Many of you want UK levels of healthcare. UK spends 176 bn pounds on health. Our budget for this year is 14 billion pounds
We got to fight corruption, tax the 70 % of Nigerians that don't pay tax and also diversify the economy so that we can attract trillions of naira in the hundreds of trillions so that we can have budgets that make sense
Or we increase hospital fees The so-called budget that you have, how much of it is applied to health matters? That's the question you should ask. |
Politics › Re: How Kenya Collects More Taxes Than Nigeria With Fewer People by EXPRESSSMAN(m): 7:21pm On Sep 23, 2025 |
The other day, it was reported that the Police administration bought cartons of Cracker biscuits for up to 2 million Naira each, here in Nigeria--A carton whose price is N3,000 in the market. The National Assembly budgeted about 800 million Naira for each stand of Solar street light, which costs less than N150,000 to install. These are the kinds of things that go on in every government agency, department, and ministry. From the Presidency down to the Local government, these are the ways they operate. Public funds are openly and shamelessly drained away. So, how will there be progress in the country? Why would the people be happy to pay more taxes? Is this how it happens in Kenya without anybody saying anything? These are the major problems of Nigeria. Any President who does not address this issue or feigns ignorance of it is not worth the people's vote. I will never vote for such. It is not about how much tax we collect, but about what we do with it. |

If IBB, Abdulsalami, Danjuma, Atiku, Nnamani, the Senate, the Reps, the Governors, the Judges etc tell the Army not to listen to him, the Army would refuse to lock up the National Assembly. And that is also the end of his government. Where are all these people you mentioned when Abacha was plotting his own graph. You think that he would just say my people I want 3rd term. |

Nigerians complain of hunger in this administration More than any other one. The hunger in the land is real. The farmers complain of high cost of inputs and lack of care from the government. They said that the Tractors that the government bought is lying waste for 2 years now. No action on it. But the government is talking of external reserves, NELFUND, coastal high ways to Sokoto , to Calabar. But the simple things that people need, they cannot do. Always chasing the shadows. This is the definition of clueless. They will come and make some bogus promises on air, their supporters will applud them. After that, no action. No one will hear about it again. |

Kobojunkie: Divorce is thousands of years older than your "for better or worse" mantras, which only deluded individuals believe in. Reality is that divorce is as old as marriage, and it is a lawful exit from the marriage contract. 🥱🥱
If you go into marriage not realizing that divorce has always been a right path out of marriage, then I seriously question your maturity and intelligence for marriage. You talking of divorce is making it mild. Maybe it is the one that suits you. Don't forget that you can exit marriage with murder, sickness, disease, disability or death . These are what made it " for better or for worse" It is not for the faithless. So that mantra is still real. |

GiftofGod77: No sir. I never want to make you or anyone think or perceive me as a religious bigot or local champion. What I am saying is something you can help us crosscheck. Marriage is made by an Architect or a Designer. The problem we have, including myself please because I am only a poor sinner who lives by grace daily, is that we live just like I said by our human instincts or nuances instead of adhering to the rules the Architect has set. Let me give you an example, a person who is not mature spiritually will be very irritable and easily annoyed by the slightest provocation or any error committed by a spouse. You will see such spouses whether men or women resort to insults or even physical abuse or eve cheating outside because what is resident in such people is not the Spirit of God. These are carnal people who think living is not by the grace of God but by their own effort or their own capacity. This is what I am saying sir. Yes, I now agree with you. But before you made it look like God engineers some marriage and not others. But now we agree that everything depends on our understanding of God's word and how we apply it. |

GiftofGod77: Hahaha it's not a risk if the Creator and Architect of marriage helps and chooses a partner for one then it will be very successful. But when we use our instincts and our nuances we will find it difficult to understand the delicate fabric and stands of marriage. So it can be a risk if it is human engineered but not a risk if it is God engineered. Thank you. For your information, I am a born again Christian. I do know that God blessed man and gave him the things to live with including his words. God can also intervene in the affairs of men. You and I know that " we use our instincts and our nuances" to live. But now you want to deny that, to claim that you know God more than others. So all the marriages around us that are in shambles are what? Tell me the ones God engineered and the ones He left unegineered. I don't like talking with religious people. |

Gracefilled01: Fake pastor. What sort of pastor comes online to mock a supposed friend? By the way, there's no such thing as a female pastor. It's unscriptural. Let her keep deceiving herself and gullible followers. She gave a good lesson which many people would learn from. She didn't mention any name, so she wasn't mocking anyone. As you can see from comments here, many people relate with what she said. I personally relate with it because I know some ladies that held to their self imposed standards and miss the real deal. Again, there is nothing unscriptural about female pastors. The Bible says that what we agreed in this world will be establish in heaven. The Bible is not rigid. Jesus did not preach in the TV on or on the Internet, now that some pastors are using them to preach. Is it unscriptural. There were no female pastors at the time the Bible was written, but the modern world had embraced them, so heaven has also accepted it as the Bible says. |

Cheating in a relationship is a human thing. Even as I type this, many people both men and women are somewhere cheating, enjoying it. What I don't understand is why the same human being hate to hear of cheating and it's outcome with passion. Even someone that cheated yesterday will participate in stoning someone who is caught today doing the same thing he did yesterday. Society and you knowing that he/she is your child is stronger than biology saying otherwise. To me parternity test is irrelevant. I cannot try such nonsense no matter the situation I find myself. |
