Let me create a little scenerio. If somebody walks into an assembly with hijab laddened with bombs and detonate and kills many,they won't condemn it. If another comes in tomorrow wearing another hijab and blows up another assembly,they will still keep mute. If after series of bombing by some hijab wearing ladies and the authorities now ban the wearing of hijab into that assembly,all the muslims who had not uttered a word all the while people had been dying will now arise and cry marginalization. They will feel threatened and ready for fight. If you now call them aside and ask them to proffer a way out of this bombing of the assembly under the cloak of hijab,they won't come up with any. All they will tell you is don't ban hijab. Period!

Meanwhile,some has accused us of complaining because we were benefitting from the corruption,I ask them this: are you not debitted too of N50 for deposits into yor account? Do you have your own regular supply of petrol at the standard price? Are you exempted from the increased electricity tarriff from N13 to N21? Are you not affected by the drastic power shortage that has crippled the nation or do you have your own grid? Do you have access to the dollar at even N200? Don't you go into shops and markets to buy things at the increased price due to fall in naira or do you shop at special markets?

Yes son,I do know that you can count the viable commercial airlines with the fingers of one hand.
I know that those who are still in operation are doing so under heavy debt profile that occassionally require bail out funds.
I know that a few who had dared venture into this sector have packed up.
I know that there are more private and chartered airlines now than commercial ones.
Son,I know that most who have left complained of so much beaurecracy and high powered extortion from the regulatory bodies like faan,nama,ncaa etc which occassionally has caused friction between the management of the airlines and the regulators.
I know that these issues has led to a very few airlines like arik now catering for the teeming population of air passengers.
Son,you and I know that if we could boast of just 10viable commercial airlines,this rush won't be there on a single airline.
One would have hoped that the minister who covers the aviation sector would sit to discuss with the players and operators on how to open up the opportunities for more commercial airlines and hopefully reduce or even squash the extortions faced by the players at the hands of the regulators.
Son,as I speak to you,there are many private aviation companies rendering skeletal auxilliary services waiting for the enabling environment to expand(via international partners or local funding) their services to commercial airlifting.
So you see son,I know enough to know that if the minister will sit down to work and look for how to create the enabling environment,there won't be this run on a single flight.

At the build up to the 2015 general elections,I remember how Nigerians were shouting that they will use their PVC(permanent voters card) to vote out then President Goodluck Jonathan and vote in General Muhammadu Buhari. And some of us tried to showed them the porosity and falsehood of the APC campaign promises(thank God that we are being proven right today by none other than the APC government who are on a daily basis denouncing or denying their promises one after the other) but what I constantly heard people respond almost across the nation was what I considered 'the biggest joke of a decade' and it went thus: "we will vote out jonathan and PDP and give Buhari and APC a chance,if they don't perform,we will vote them out by 2019".
Am sure most of either heard this or said it. I considered that statement a big joke and I always tried to explain to people that we were able to vote out the GEJ led PDP because GEJ provided an unbiased umpire in INEC and an enabling platform that could give the voters the freedom to accept or reject him. 'Everybody is not GEJ'.
Today,APC is in power and we have seen how the elections is Bayelsa and Rivers State(and even Kogi) has been characterised by violence,heavy electoral malpractices and deaths. I ask myself,if APC can go this far in trying to manipulate the votes to wrestle power from a PDP controlled state,how then is it possible that they will allow the voters in states they control to vote them out. I remember shouting before the 2015 elections that we are chasing away the cat with a tiger,yes,the cat will run away,but how will we chase away the tiger. Many never bothered to heed. Today,its beginning to unfold.
The judiciary had always been the last resort for electoral justice but under this APC government,the judiciary is now suspect. The judiciary is now manipulated for the flimsiest reasons to nullify elections in rich PDP states and order for a rerun while upholding similar circumstances for APC won elections. All in a bid to see how the APC can thus use the federal might to improve on their chances. The supreme court has been able to distinguish itself from this judicial recklessness,but sadly,with the exception of the governorship and presidential electoral cases, every other appeal is not allowed by law to get to the supreme court. There is no single PDP governor,senator or even house of rep member who have not had to defend a judgement against his position,while the APC candidates have a smooth sail as the petitions against them are constantly struck out for flimsiest of reasons.
The first sign that showed that this administration has no plan to conduct an unbiased election was when President Buhari,on the retirement of Professor Jega, rejected hierarchy of public service and bye-passed the next in command to Jega to install his cousin,Mrs Amina Zakari as the National Chairman of INEC. And when there was a massive national outcry,he now shifted her appointment to acting capacity. A woman whose career included 5years as a staff of Afri-projects Consortium(1994-1999),a firm owned by Buhari's younger brother that was reputed to have been used by Buhari to launder millions of dollars out of PTF when he was the PTF boss. Now,how do we expect such a woman to be objective in an election which Buhari and his party is involved. At the end,he finally moved her as national commissioner for North West region. I personally feel for every other political party who may wish to run for any post within the states of the North west region. Your guess is as good as mine.
I constantly ask myself,if APC will fight this dirty to wrestle power from incumbents,will it be a fairy tale dream to think that another party will be allowed to emerge victorious in states the already hold? Will it be possible that APC will allow the voters who voted them in to vote them out in 2019? Can a Tinubu watch the masses vote PDP in Lagos? Can a Rochas Okorocha allow Imo voters to vote him and his party out in 2019? Its impossible for a saraki to allow voters decide the outcome of elections in Kwara state. Can an Amina Zakari afford to report to 'her boss and cousin' in Aso rock that PDP(or anyother party) won the North west region? Your guess is as good as mine. Rather that election will become 'inconclusive'.
