SE backwater region? which part of the SE have you been to before to come that preposterous conclusion. Outside of Lagos and maybe Ogun state, all the SW so called towns/cities are about on par with ordinary villages in the SE.

More than anything else the breaking point and most fatal mistake of the North in over-testing Yorubas was attacking Yorubas in Ibadan which proved fatal. I'm an Igbo boy born and raised in Ibadan, and I know enough not to mess with Ibadan people...Ibadan is the beehive of Yoruba militancy and ruthlessness... all the most violent street thugs, street fighters, vigilantes etc you can find in the SW are headquartered in Ibadan. I witness lots of ethnic violence when growing up in Ibadan - especially Sango and Beere axis), and the brutality of the killings alone was scarring reminiscence for me.

Ibadan is the South East equivalence of Aba or Onitsha when it comes to having no joy, that's why Hausas can do nonsense anywhere in the East and maybe get away with it... but in Aba and Onitsha? it will be a Slaughter house for them.

But if common sense should prevail in all of this, it would make more sense for the Nigerian army to take these women to some obscure location away from scrutiny and do with them what they please with no compelling evidence even if the victims talked... if I want to rape or abuse a woman (God forbid), would I take her to a place where I get easily caught? no be to carry an enter bush or uncompleted building? Fulani Herdsmen Kill Four In Ogun Community After Visit By Police Commissioner, Others
They reportedly invaded the areas in the evening, setting ablaze some houses and killing four villagers.

No fewer than four persons were reportedly killed by suspected killer herdsmen on Sunday evening at Agbon-Ojodu, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.


The suspected herdsmen were said to have attacked Ebute Igbooro, killing four persons and setting properties ablaze on their trail.


This was after about six persons were hacked to death and some thrown into a river in Owode Ketu on Thursday.

It was gathered that the latest attack on Sunday came a few hours after a delegation of the Ogun State Government left the area.

The delegation, led by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Afolabi Afuape, and his counterpart in the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Waheed Odusile, visited the affected areas in company with the state Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, where they promised to secure lives and property.

However, the visit, it was gathered, did not stop the criminals from wreaking another havoc on residents of Agbon and Asa, killing, maiming and burning houses.

They reportedly invaded the areas in the evening, setting ablaze some houses and killing four villagers.

A member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing the area, Haruna Egungbohun, has confirmed the incident.

Egungbohun said, “Fulani herdsmen killed four people along Agbon Road immediately the Commissioner of Police, Commissioner for Local Government and Commissioner for Information left the area.”

According to him, people ran to avoid being killed by the killer herdsmen during and after the incident.

Meanwhile, Eselu of Iselu, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, who also confirmed the incident, warned that if the killing of his people did not stop, he might lead an attack against the criminals.
