PoliticsFarmer Dies In Ibadan After Fulani Herdsmen Set His Cashew Farm Ablaze by EzeAro(op): 7:54am On Feb 11, 2021
An Igangan-based farmer, Alfa Sikiru Akinlotan, from Gbogi Compound, Isale Akao Area, Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government, died on his farm on Wednesday after Fulani herdsmen set his cashew and cocoa farm ablaze.

SaharaReporters gathered that he died while trying to quench the fire on his farm.

The commandant of Amotekun in the state, Col. Olayinka Olayanju, confirmed the incident in Ibadan on Wednesday night.

Olayanju said; "Alfa Sikiru Akinlotan from Gbogi Compound, Isale Akao area, Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government, died inside his farm at Itigbo, Apodun Road, Igangan, on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

"It happened that his cocoa and cashew farm was set ablaze. He met his untimely death while he was trying to quench the fire. Hee was never attacked by any Fulani nor any other person."

Though Olayinka could not establish who set the farm ablaze in his statement, a source in Igangan told SaharaReporters that it was done by the Fulani herdsmen who are hellbent on destroying Yoruba farmers' properties.

The source said, "Can fire destroy a farm without somebody setting it ablaze? This is one of the reasons behind the notice to quit Yorubaland.

"If Wakili and his men are still operating in Ayete, Igangan and Tapa axis, we cannot sleep with our two eyes closed. Don't forget a similar thing happened in Ayete recently when the farm of Odomofin, Baba Saubana, was set ablaze. All their cashew farms were destroyed."

If you don't know how Nigeria functions just leave it. Nigeria is a country built on bigotry.
So the Yorubas, Igbos and Northerners are preventing your people from bursting their arses in school to get the education and managerial skill set? sounds like a whole bunch of excuses and lack of accountability to me?

I wonder why you forgot to include the Igbo drug mules that were caught in India this week!

If we burst pipelines it is on our land ( Ijawland) and not other people's land. We are trying to correct the anomalies Nigeria created. Unlike you Igbos who are too lousy but can do nothing.

Killing you in the North has become a near annual event.
The oil lies beneath your land yet you don't have the brains to control your own resources except resorting to violence and self-destructive acts that end up polluting your own waters/land. Why aren't your leaders encouraging the youths across Ijaw land to become CEO's, human resource managers, board of directors and executive managers in all these multinational oil companies that operate in your land? why are foreigners, Northerners, Igbos and yorubas the ones at the top helm of managerial affairs in the Niger Delta while your youths waste away in shackles of poverty? you need to be honest for once and start owning up to the failures of your own leaders who don't care about your people.

PoliticsThe #occupylekkitollgate Vs #defendlagos Script by EzeAro(op): 12:14pm On Feb 09, 2021
This is how it's going to play out when it all goes down this Saturday...

A group of #occupyLekkiTollGate social justice footsoldiers (or miscreants depending on how you want to see them) majority of whom will be Yorubas will clash with the so called #DefendLagos factions also predominantly yoruba hard-core conservatives... it will all degenerate to utter chaos, destruction of public properties, mayhem, injuries on both sides and even possible loss of few lives before order is restored. Then after the dust settles a day or few later and the mist of pandemonium and it's aftermath clears up... the yoruba media will as usual look for whom to pin the madness of their restive youths on, and as usual they will bim their ethnic baiting/probing searchlights on the Igbos who are minding their own business... then comes the insults, attacks on Igbo owned businesses and threats.

I seriously warn the Igbos to be very alert and ready for any eventualities, if possible arm yourselves (learn from the Hausas who don't tolerate their rubbish) and defend yourselves tenaciously against attacks on your various means of livelihood by any means possible, self-defense is a fundamental human right afterall.

This should serve as a lesson to the senseless bloodthirsty idiots who are always pushing and baying for war to "crush" the Igbos...war isn't like the action films you watch on TV, when that war comes, not only Igbos will be the victims, but you, your brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers will also be victims as well.

PoliticsFulani Herdsmen Raped 15 Women, Collected N50million Ransom – Igangan Residents by EzeAro(op): 10:25pm On Jan 25, 2021
- Fulani herdsmen raped 15 women, collected N50million ransom – Igangan residents

Residents of Igangan in the Ibarapa area of Oyo State on Sunday recounted their ordeals in the hands of Fulani herdsmen.

The community leaders, who spoke during a visit of the state government delegation to the town, stated that they had paid a total of N50m as ransoms for kidnappings carried out by herdsmen in the community.

The community also presented to the delegation, pictures and other evidence of ransoms paid to the herdsmen.

They accused the Seriki Fulani of complicity in the negotiation of ransoms.

The delegation comprising officials of the state and the new Commissioner of Police in the state Command, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko, on Sunday, visited Ibarapa where violence erupted on Friday over kidnappings and killings by herdsmen.

Recall that there was violence at Igangan on Friday when a popular Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, well known as Sunday Igboho, alongside his followers, stormed the Fulani settlement in the ancient town to eject Seriki Fulani, Salihu Abdukadir, and herdsmen accused of perpetrating crimes ranging from kidnappings, killings, rape to invasion of farmlands with their cattle.

During the crisis, the Seriki Fulani of Igangan and his family members were evicted from the town and their property torched.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to state Governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa, Igangan community leaders on Sunday stated that besides the payment of N50m as ransoms, 15 women were raped by the herders in the town.

But Fulani leaders, who attended the meeting, begged for forgiveness, saying the Fulani were ready for peaceful co-existence with their hosts.

The Secretary of Igangan Development Advocates, Lawal Akeem, said the people were tired of the antics of the Seriki Fulani of Igangan, whom he accused of complicity in different kidnap cases.

He also said that the community had been forced to pay about N50 million in ransoms for different cases of kidnapping, while also accusing Fulani herders of regularly vandalising farms and raping women of the community.

A youth in the town, Taiwo Adeagbo, said that no fewer than 15 women had been raped in recent weeks.

A member of the state House of Assembly, Peter Ojedokun, also told the delegation that the peace in Ibarapaland had been stirred by the Fulani herders with the incessant attacks on members of the community, kidnappings and other crimes.

LG caretaker chairman, community leader accuse Seriki Fulani of complicity

The Caretaker Chairman of Ibarapa North-West Local Council Development Area, Okediji Olusegun, also corroborated the allegations levelled against the Seriki Fulani of Igangan, saying that the Seriki had been fingered in the series of security challenges in the area many times.

Fulani leaders beg for forgiveness, pledges peaceful coexistence

Two Fulani leaders, the Seriki Fulani of Igbo Ora, Alhaji Idris Abubakar, and the Seriki Fulani of Eruwa, Alhaji Sule Mohammed, solicited for forgiveness, assuring the forum that they would facilitate peaceful coexistence in Ibarapaland.

Also during the meeting, those who paid ransoms to the bandits presented pictoral evidence to back up their claims.

The traditional ruler of Igangan, the Asigangan of Igangan, Oba Abdulazeez Adeoye, whose cousin was kidnapped tendered the evidence of the ransom he paid to secure his release.

Residents also stormed the venue of the meeting with photographs of those who were killed and those who suffered attacks in the hands of criminal herdsmen.

The same Fulani herdsmen killings you were using to mock the East before ESN outfit was launched to tackle the menace has now reached your region in full swing and your people are feeling the heat now all over the South west. The duplicitous and wicked nature of you Yorubas is the reason why you remain the only ethnic group in Nigeria and the South to still have a Yoruba dominated state been controlled by a Fulani emirate.

Breaking: Orlu On fire Again As Eastern Security Network Members Storm Community In Search of Nigerian Army

Johnson Emilade

The war between men of the Nigerian Army and the Eastern Security Network(ESN) started in Oru communities in Imo state, is far from being over after the latter stormed the Orlu local government this morning again,in what looks like a reprisal attack on the military men.

The communities which has been under siege after some military men were reportedly killed during a heated gun battle with ESN members, has been thrown into chaos again as residents were forced to take shelter from series of gunshot by the returning ESN members within orlu metropolis this morning.

Overtnews gathered that the ESN members who returned to orlu on Monday, came heavily armed in eight hilux van and started shooting sporadically into the air.

According to an eyewitness, the ESN members said to be looking for the military men who came in search of them last week. it was also gathered that the Orlu police area command is currently on fire with no police man in sight.

Efforts by Overtnews correspondent to reach the Imo state police command spokesman and men of the Nigerian army has so far proven abortive with both parties currently incommunicado.
