Lets be fair, if IBB starts spreading the money to some Igbo politicians, that will be supporting him as well.

Money talks and shyyyyyt walks.

Ojukwu just said that IBB could run if he wants. Don't see how that translates that he supports the man.

Ojukwu was actually mocking the man.

rethink,

What did I tell you about making this thread about Nigeria?  angry

This is about Africa in general. Is Nigeria the only country in Africa that you know about? Maybe it is right about some Nigerians, not knowing about the rest of continent. And you have definitely polluted my thread. I hate you thread derailers. It is like you people are way too dumb to discuss a topic in an intelligent way. I hate fools who given computers to type such nonsense.

If you can discuss the DR Congo, in which their borders definitely need to be redrawn.

Amadioha shall strike both the author of that post and the messenger who created this thread.

I pray to God that he deals with our "fellow" Africa in which he will die of a painful disease for wishing death on my people.

Juju shall be used in this case.

Aigbofa:
You never cease to annoy me with your silly statements. I know so many Yorubas who can speak Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba fluently. My own brother can speak Igbo like a  native and if I didn't go to a boarding school, I'll probably be speaking Igbo fluently as well.
Do you know anything about Nigeria at all?
Oh really, I thought Yorubas don't like to leave the southwest? The first Yoruba I seen a Yoruba was when I moved to Port Harcourt when I was 10.

You will see an Igbo speak another man's language, before they speak their own. That is why I said that. I have cousins fluent in Yoruba, and I have cousins fluent in Hausa, but they don't know Igbo.

And I didn't know Ekiti made tribalist like you. Let me find out my little sugar banana is a closet tribalist.

And I am happy for Enugu. Wonderful town!

Enugu and Port Harcourt will lead to a reawakening in the East.

I have come to the conclusion that Kobojunkie is an Igbo.

Since she has traveled widely through Nigeria and know all three of the major languages, only an Igbo is capable of this.

ezeagu,

Your words were well spoken! Truer words were never said.

Just seeing the Benin statues just amazes me how advanced we Africans were, and now the sorry state we are in now.

The rich culture of the Oyo Empire, the mighty Ashanti Empire, the Kingdom of Nri and Aro Confederacy, the religious scholarship of Sokoto Caliphate, Ancient Empire of Ghana, Mali and Songhay, Great Zimbabwe, the Zulu, Dahomey, etc. We had thriving kingdoms and empires. Our states were advanced. Our people culture were flourishing, our languages were flourishing, everything was alright!

Then the European came and everything changed. Chinua Achebe's literary masterpiece, Things Fall Apart is a clear illustration. We must reclaim our heritage.

rethink,

Do us all a favor and go jump off a bridge. What did I tell you about trying to derail this thread?  angry  This thread is not only about Nigeria's internal problems, it is about AFRICA. But your narrow view is starting trouble.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, back on topic.

A discussion is needed on this issue. People have come up with many reasons why Africa is not progressing, but no one wants to discuss the issue of these colonial made borders. When you have an outside influence draw up lines that were never before, of course there will be problems.

The Berlin Conference and the resulting scramble for Africa really messed up Africa as a continent.
