ElRazur:The true inferiority complex is being shown through you. I would never serve a foreigner like some slave. I have way too much pride to hold some umbrella for a person who may consider me an animal. Money is not everything. He is no different from the ashawo who spread their legs for everyone. Especially expatriates. Come to Port Harcourt and you will see how these women with loose morals act like. |
![]() Chei! We Naija guys are too much. Rather we spread love then hate. lol |
ElRazur:Let me break racism down for you. rac ism 1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. 2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination. 3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races. Nothing I said was racist according to the definition. I just have a problem when a grown man is reduced in this way. What makes matters worse is that he is an African. And we all know how Africans, no matter what country seem to worship foreigners. Who cares if he is getting paid for this? Have you heard of something called pride? Just as the Black Americans what they think about this picture, since they had to experience slavery and Jim Crow. Any person caught defending this picture would be called an UNCLE TOM. |
ElRazur:A black man can NEVER be racist, because we do not have the power to keep other races down. We may be prejudiced but there is no way a black man can be racist. And only a person who has never experienced racism would post like that. Or a person who has never left Nigeria. People in Nigeria can be so naive about white man or Asian. Some view us as animals but we still kiss that arse. Our women throw themselves on these people, and our men treat them like gods. Sickening. That is why Africa is in the sad state that we are in, because we look to the West and now East to solve our problems instead of looking inward. |
mikeansy:Gbam! I experienced that when I was trying to leave Lagos for the UK. Those immigration officers have those hungry looks in their eyes. I was getting bombarded by them to give them a dash. You would never see that in a Western nation. |
ElRazur:Yes, because a man can hold his own umbrella. If he was hired to protect the man, then he should be protecting him, not protecting him from the sun. |
This picture sickens me. Just as bad as an African bending over backwards for a European. Don't tell me that some Africans are starting to worship Asians? Why is he holding an umbrella like he is some slave? |
The only state that should be created is Anioma state. That is all. The Delta Igbo need their own state. |
Ribadu for now. . . But Goodluck could change my mind if he does right. |
Nigerians with American or British accents should not be worried. Looking at the kidnapping incidences, it seems like they are kidnapping people who stay in Nigeria, not Nigerians from the diaspora. |
Stop derailing threads people. ![]() Well I am happy that the South-east governors are not focusing on the presidency. It would be a waste of time. However, I feel anyone should have the freedom to run no matter what tribes they are from. I could care less if the person is Igbo, Efik, Kanuri, Ijaw, Yoruba, Nupe, Idoma or Tiv. As long as the best person is running. |
^^^ are you actually trying to convince NL that Angel Micheal came to you and told you to stop being a tribalist? Anywayz, Nigerians are genetically stubborn and hardheaded, it'll take us a looooooooong while to get it together.
I was never a tribalist to begin with. My best friend name is Akin. Most of the time I was only joking around, but it is time for me to get serious on issues. I am not happy how this country is going. And a lot of us are losing our patience. A fool at 50 will always be a fool. |
Ummm, Sir, excuse me if I'm wrong. . . A lot of multiethnic nations as doing well. Not only Tanzania, but also look at India. However, I feel tribalism has spoiled any national consensus ever since Nigeria was created. Our forefathers should have prevented it at all cost, but I think it is too late. People in Nigeria will always look through a tribal lens. This is the sad fact. The coup, pogroms in the north and the civil war did not help either, but only make tribalism here to stay. This nation is simply rudderless. No one is steering this ship and will continue to float endlessly into the abyss. |
I am definitely getting tired of this nonsense. You claim our good people as Nigerians, but the bad elements of our society are known as Igbo. Does that make Chinua Achebe a Nigerian or is he just Igbo? Does that make Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie a Nigeria or is she just Igbo? People need to stop acting so high and mighty, because this nation is going down the drain. In the north, you have terrorist who are not only target fellow Nigerians, but now are taking their jihad global. In the West, Lagos has a ton of crime, but since there are too many people in that city, it goes unnoticed. In the Niger Delta, you have militancy and oil bunkering. And in Igboland, you have kidnapping. They are evils and cannot be ranked. |
Onye_ngbu, I should have ignored the illiterate. Yes, I support Wole Soyinka, and I see him as a man with integrity. This debate should never have been made into a Yoruba v. Igbo thing. It had nothing to do with the thread. People need to stop looking through tribal lens. Politicians use tribe and religion in order to get people upset at each while they loot our coffers. |
![]() I agree with you tho. . .
What is so funny? I am being serious. Don't tell me you have a problem with African Americans? Say it aint so. |
So. . . . that makes it okay to deal drugs?
Not saying that is ok, but if you deal with poverty, people would not have to look to drugs to survive. Just look at African Americans who for years, were ostracized and kept in ghettos and they turned to drugs. Poverty is the bane of Nigeria. |
Society reflects our gov't. When a gov't does not care about its people, the people will look to vices to escape this entrapment. |
It is time for us to stop these tribalistic rants. It is unbecoming of supposedly educated Nigerians. We need to become more progressive thinking, because the elite of Nigeria do not care about their tribe, they only care about stealing money. |
sjeezy8:You are a fool and you Yorubas are dark as fucccc so I doubt any of you baboon looking people look like those pretty Fulani. I know Fulani ppl too. True Fulanis, not the watered down Fulani you find in Nigeria. They originate from Senegal and speak true Fulani or Puula as they say. The Fulani spread their religion through jihad. Everyone knows how Uthman dan Fodio started the Fulani jihads in which he conquered Hausaland who were nominal Muslims at the time, tried to conquer the Kanem-Bornu empire but failed, and moved south against the Yoruba. You don't know shyytt about history. In addition, Uthman dan Fodio learned the spiritual side of Islam from the Tuareg as well in Timbuktu. The darker Fulani are not even true Fulani but slaves of them. They spread Islam with the sword. Even the Fulani jihads in other parts of West Africa were fought against fellow Muslims. Fulani Jihads targeted the Malinke, Mandinka and other groups. |
sjeezy8:Yea right, the Fulani were not forcefully taking over Yorubaland peacefully, they were slaughtering you all by the thousands. If it wasn't for the British, the Fulani would have pushed you all into the sea. Even the Nupe were doing there thing against you all. I already know what my people are doing. We will own your land soon enough and be your landlords. We Igbos don't care about politics, we feel like controlling you all through economics. It is only a matter of time. |
TewMuch:I could care less what you Yorubas were doing to be honest. I can't speak for other Igbo groups, but we Aro were a force to be reckoned with and we were one of the last people in Nigeria to be subdued by the British. You Yoruba and the Sokoto Caliphate fell so easily to the British. Even Great Benin did not fall so easily. And you all were building overcrowded cities that were dirty like the ones we see today, while my particular group of Igbos were establishing trade routes with the Hausa, Ibibio, Ijaw and subduing both Igbo groups and Efik/Ibibio people. The Fulani wouldn't dare enter our forest. |
sjeezy8:Why would a Fulani man call himself a Yoruba? Especially with the Fulani illustrious history of conquering other groups like you Yorubas. Even the word Yoruba is a Fulani term is it not? The Hausa would never start that type of trouble in Igboland and there are plenty of Hausa in Alaigbo. Especially in Abia. Hausa consider Yorubas slaves. They disrespect you in your own land. Oh I wish the British did not stop their conquest of your people. It was almost complete. |
and you think soyinka should also trust you and your ibo folks that may want to form alliance with him ? the north and yoruba seem to blend well in eveything apart from politics.if you doubt that, why do the ibo suffer more casualty whenever there is crisis in the north ?
Because your people are cowards. And if you know, Yorubas suffered heavy casualities in Jos the last time violence erupted. They didn't dare touch the Igbo due to our new strategy.Hausa do not even care much about the Yoruba, because they know how weak your people are. The Fulani almost conquered your people if it wasn't for the British. And the Hausa-Fulani consider Yoruba Muslims as Pseudo-Muslims. . . Not real Muslims. If you don't believe me, just ask a Hausa man. And remember Fulani herders have been targeting your fellow Yorubas in Yorubaland and Hausa are fighting Yorubas in the streets of Lagos. ![]() |
tpiah:I used to feel sorry for you since you are unmarried, old and probably ugly, but now I don't! You have went too far you kissed by the sun, bleaching old ugly woman. Obele nsi! Let me say it in English. . . Eat shhhhiiiitttt You ozodimgba looking woman. amadioha kpokwa gi oku! Alambalagada! You with saggy booobbs ![]() |
Definitely
LIAR! ![]() |
if ibo deals with minorities group comfortably, why are they having problem with yoruba and the north ? inferiority complex i guess ? does that stop yoruba blood from flowing in them ? no. these guys have alwas been social critics without political interest, that is why the ibo do not feel threatened by them.
Northerners like to deal with themselves and use the ocassional Yoruba as a house boy. You Yorubas burned that bridge a long time ago. We do not need to rehash history, but we all know why Igbos don't like dealing with Yorubas when it comes to politics. |
sjeezy8:Soyinka is from the same family as Fela Kuti. Fela Kuti was a descendant of repatriated slaves as well so wouldn't that mean Wole Soyinka who comes from the same family might have slave ancestry. |

Let me put it nice and simple. Anyone can be racist. With all due respect, you may want to look up the meaning and actions of someone who is racist. I stand by what I said before, your post is filled with inferiority complex, and you have shown that again in the post above.
