Maryland is a wonderful place for Nigerians to live. Especially in the DC area. And if you feel a little brave, maybe you could venture up to Baltimore where the housing is cheaper, but it has a high crime rate.

Anyway there are plenty of jobs in the Washington DC area. Move to Montgomery County where is safe, but has high housing prices or PG County where land is cheap, but the akatas from DC are moving there in droves.

The North will not have a chance to rule the south!!! If everything goes as planned, Goodluck Jonathan is going to oversee the break up of this country. cool

This is just beautiful. The U.S. understands that it will take a Niger Deltan to rule this nation, plus he is a Christian and not one of those Muslim fundamentalist.
Politics › Re: Goodluck Ebele Jonathan For President! (Vote Now) by EzeUche(m): 12:47am On Apr 19, 2010

All those that want Nigeria to break up should start civil war.

I dont think it will start anything becuse the pastor was an hausa.

So obviously its not about religion for southerners and middlebelters- they are just tribalistic.
It does matter, because if these Christian Hausa attack, then the Muslim Hausa will attack all Christians, regardless of ethnicity. See beyond your computer mumu.

hmmm there is Oil in SW. So what are you saying?

and you must be dumb if you didnt know the West consisted of Edo delta Bayelsa which are also part the new SS.
So nothing that was done the SE wasnt done to the SW before aside from the SW having 1 state more.
You and your asinine statements. Delta State was never considered part of the West. Especially when you have a huge number of Igbos living in this state since time immemorial. You all had Edo but only half of Bayelsa. That is clearly part of the SouthEast. Any state east of the Niger River was part of the SouthEast. Even though it did divide Igbo speaking communities
Politics › Re: The True Face Of Thieves In Nigeria by EzeUche(m): 5:35pm On Apr 17, 2010
Mostly filled with Hausa and Yorubas I could only count like 4 Igbo names. Wow!!! I am speechless. shocked

Well not that shocked. We Igbos do not need to cheat when it comes to business. grin

What is this business of partitioning the South-East into such oppressing and conquering terms just because oil was discovered there? Where is North-North? If the oil was found in the south-west, would there have been a region carved out as South-South there?

Foolish notion if you ask me. The Acting Presidents middle name should be proof enough. This carving up of my precious South-East. Complete and utter nonsense.

He is right though.

At least the West tries to help its most vulnerable citizens. Look at welfare policies in the West and then compare it to the plight of the average Nigerian.

I come from a wealthy family, but I understand that the common man is suffering. We live in our secluded worlds, without venturing outside it. Most of you all writing in this board most likely live in a good part of Lagos or in Abuja or some wealthy district, not some poor area.

All I have to do is go to my village and I see people suffering yet smiling. This is not the Nigeria that I want my children to have.

So all you deluded people who has insulted the poster, get your head from out your arses is smell the truth.

akigbemaru:
What do you mean by IBB's achievement?
I may list his achievements:
1) He single-handedly put Nigeria on list of Muslim countries of the world
2) He single-handedly divided every little bread n butter of land constitutes Southern Nigeria and left his state "Niger State" untouchable, so that when Nigeria divides today. He can enjoy the 76, 000 kilometer squares.
3) He single-handedly annulled June 12, the most credible election.
4) He single-handedly killed Dele Giwa and Vatsa.
The list continues!!
My Yoruba Foe I agree with everything you said. This man is dangerous for the south.

IBB has been reading the 48 Laws of Power. Good Lord, he is filling his campaign with smokescreens and carrots. By him saying that he wants to end the quote system, then he really trying to fool the ppl.

This man is dangerous, even though I support what he said on this issue! sad

KnowAll:
The fact that some unruly men in uniform hijacked the Nigerian economy between 1983 to 1999 a period of 16 years, turning a boyant and vibrant economy into a basket case of undevelopment, wholesome illetracy, and both brain drain and capital flight is unforgivable. The truth must be said once in a while, the Hausa / Fulani destroyed Nigeria. Even now the Hausa / Fulani have the chance to pick a credible candidate from the North, yet they are bickering amongst themselves re-presenting and wheeling out the same men who undoubtedly have a case of subversion and mutiny to answer.

I cannot remember when coup plotting was excised from our common law, unless we pretend it has, as far as I am concerned and as far as the law stands today whether written or un-written,  I still believe death by firing squad or hanging is the price those who endeavour in this kind of abject banditry. It would appear our law favours those who suceed in this outright subversion of our common wealth only rebuking those that failed, a policy rethink should commence,  reprehension and justice should follow suit in tandem.

Why is some coup plotters still walking around with a swagger today,  presenting themselves as Presidential Candidates, when their fellow colleagues such as Gidieon Orkar, Dimka and Vatsa had to pay the ultimate price.

This double standard needs to be revisited, rectified and the law applied accordingly, it is not only unfair to the likes of Dimka or Vatsa family it is cruel, evil and gross injustice. The day of reckoning and reproaching is at hand, IBB and Buhari should be apprehended wherever they are in the country and tried for their brazen and malicious mutiny. Even if they don't get the death penalty like their failed collegues, we should all abhor at the prospect of rewarding them with the higest office in the land, there permanent place of abode should be the gory arena of the Nigerian Prison,  they should see and count themselves lucky to miss the hangman's noose only because they had a succesfu day in the game of death that they are a signatory to.
The truth is that the Hausa/Fulani did not destroy the Nigerian economy alone. They had the help of many Yoruba who were complacent with the status quo. You can only blame them for so long without looking at the Yoruba who I consider the main problem in Nigeria. We Igbos already know where the Hausa-Fulani stand, they wish to rule, but the tricky Yoruba are the ones who blow in any direction.

If IBB is being forced to say this, then a break-up must be imminent. However, he is a NUPE so he should choose his side. Does he wish to be with the Core North or the Progressive Southerners?

Yes, our language unites us. Think of the Igbo as a nation like the Iroquois Nation in the United States. We are made up of different tribes that are united in language.

My tribe is the Aro Igbo, arguably, once the most powerful Igbo speaking group in the East.
