its quite alright because new money and investments are coming into lagos as we speak.

What person would want to vacate in a region where militancy is like a day job? What Oil company wants to base their company in the ND where "borrowing" employees for ransom is a common practice? When I heard ND govs trying to make it mandatory for Oil companies to be based in the ND I busted out with laughter. lol really grin

Besides Oil, gas, water, trees and MOSQUITOES what is there in the ND? huh o yea babes i wont lie
We Igbos can pacify the region. grin

Then the oil companies will come back. We know how to deal with the militancy.

These pictures turned my stomach. Now I am really upset, I can only pray for the souls of these innocent little children.

This is a time for mourning. Soon in the coming days, it will be a time of vengeance, but right now I can only weep.  cry

Abuja will be abandoned. I will continue to live in Port Harcourt as a member of the Eastern Federation.

With a home in Enugu as the provincial capital of the Eastern Federation.

The killing of women and children is reprehensible! There are some things you do not do in war, and this is one of them.

Killing people in the early morning and not fighting fairly. Killing innocent women and children is horrible. How dare these fools do this!

Divide this county now!!!

I rather be free to govern my own people instead of being dictated by a person from another group who does not have my people's best interest in mind.

To hell with Nigeria. I hope it burns and from its ashes a stronger Eastern state arises!

Long live Biafra!!!

The Middle Belt, the choice is yours. You can ask for forgiveness with from the people of the East, after your forefathers killed innocent women and children or you live in constant terror of the Hausa and their Fulani overlords.

The choice is yours, We Igbos are waiting for your apology,

It is all about ethnicity with a Islamic twist. But people do not want to discuss this lipsrsealed

The Fulani are at it again. I feel bad for the people of the Middle Belt now. However, they do act as a buffer to prevent the violence from spreading down south.

So I salute all of you people from the middle belt. You all bear the brunt of the Hausa-Fulani jihads while I can post on this discussion board.

The children of Uthman dan Fodio has started their Fulani Jihads again! They are trying to extend the Sokoto Empire into the Middle Belt.

We people of the south must not know let that happen. The time for war is upon us! We must strike with righteous vengeance.

What we need is more prayer and more security.

These devils are sponsored by Saudi-Arabia and other state sponsors of terrorism.

JOS is the final frontier and that's why the battle is so intense.
There is a time for prayer and a time to fight back. We are tired of turning the other cheek. These Hausa-Fulani who cause this havoc in Jos targetting innocent Christians put their Hausa brothers in the south at risk for total annihilation. No more allowing them to leave while they slaughter our brothers in the north.

We must prepare ourselves for the coming dark days that will befall Nigeria!  angry

I have not called for the annihilation of these people. If you read my previous post, I just said we need to keep an eye on these people. That is all I said. Nothing I said, was wrong.

Did they not rise up against Biafra? If not, then you are rewriting history. That was my fundamental statement. undecided

The article is an eye opener. The Idoma, Igala, Tiv have more in common with Easterners than they do with the North.

Any alliance is welcome man. We can't forget the past but we won't let the past hold us from seeking accepting meaningful alliances that we'll benefit us. We have a common enemy so guy quit BItchhing @ eachother.
My discussion on the Ijaw problem is over. It seems that some of my brothers, refuse to admit that they fear Igbo domination. That is why many of their native sons fought against us, so I will drop the subject.

We all know that the North is not united. Some people despise the Hausa-Fulani. The only people that these Hausa-Fulani respect in the North are the Kanuri. These people were able to fight off Uthman Dan Fodio jihads into their lands.

We should have kept fighting till the last man. There should have been continued agitation until we got our own sovereign stare. I know some of my Biafran comrades would not agree with me, but this would have been the only way to break us out of the contraption. Our Biafran soldiers should have stayed in the bush to fight the Nigerian army with guerrilla warfare. They may have captured our important towns, but the forest should have been our home like our forefathers. cry

Whenever I hear war stories, so much emotion just swell up in me. Long Live Biafra!

Then you have foolish Beaf who wants to sideline the Ndi Igbo. That is why I do not trust him.

HERE IS ONE TRAITOR!

Isn't that a contradiction? Industrialisation is based on energy; what does crude oil provide? Is it not energy? Is that not what the Americans and the Chinese want? So the Igbos would want industrialisation but ignore the source of energy on their doorstep?
Does Singapore have oil? The answer is no. Does Switzerland have oil? The answer is no. Haven't you heard of the resource curse? Countries that are richer in natural resources are poorer compared to nations that are resource poor.

I have no desire for oil even though oil is found in my backyard. For all I care, it can stay buried underground, because it pollutes the environment.

EZEUCHE I GET YOUR POINT; I BELIEVE NOW WE ARE MORE MATURE TO HAVE A GENTLE MAN AGREEMENT IF THERE IS GOING TO BE A BREAK UP ALONG THE BIAFRA LINES WITH THE EFIKS, IBIBIOS, KALABARIS (IGBO'S SUPPOSED COUSINS) INCLUSIVE, SUCH THAT THESE MINORITY GROUPS MAINTAIN THEIR IDENTITY WHILST REMAINING IN SUCH AN ARRANGEMENT.

IN ANOTHER SENSE, WHILE THE IJAWS MIGHT BE AGAINST IGBO DOMINANCE IN A SET UP THAT INCLUDES THE IGBOS, IJAWS, AND THE LONG LIST OF MINORITIES, THE MINORITIES (ITSHEKERI, ISOKO, EFIK, IBIBIO, KALABARI, UROHOBO, ETC) WILL ALSO COME AGAINST IJAW DOMINANCE IN A SET-UP THAT INCLUDES IJAWS AND OTHER MINORITIES.

CAN ANY ONE PROFER A SOLUTION TO THIS DEADLOCK huh lipsrsealed
The problem with Biafra, as that many Igbo leaders wanted our culture to dominate the region which I am totally against. I prefer have groups that reside in the East keep their ethnic identity. I also believe the Igala and the Idoma should be invited if the East does get its freedom in the future.

I would even invite the Ijaws as long as they know is that they could use their oil to develop their land, but they cannot mistreat the other minorities that reside in the Niger Delta. If the oil is found on your land, then the people should be able to use the funds of this oil to improve their own land.

We Igbos do not really care much about oil, we would rather focus on improving our indusutries that has nothing to do with oils. Industrializing the East would be a start. Aba as the commercial capital of the region and Port Harcourt as the main port of the region would be beneficial for the entire east.

I HOPE YOU GUYS ARE JOKING ABOUT ALL THE HATE WRITINGS I HAVE READ ON THIS THREAD.
BUT ONE THING IS CERTAIN ABOUT A POST-BREAKUP SCENARIO WITH RESPECT TO THE SOUTH SOUTH AND SOUTH EAST:

1)  A BREAKUP THAT LUMPS THE SOUTH SOUTH AND THE SOUTH EAST AS ONE REGION = NDIGBO OVERLORDSHIP WITH THE IJAWS BIKKERING AND CRYING
    BLUE MURDER

2)  A BREAKUP THAT GIVES THE SOUTH SOUTH AN INDEPENDENCE STATUS = IJAW OVERLORDSHIP WITH THE ISOKOS, URHOBOS, EFIKS, IBIBIOS,
KALABARIS, ITSHIKERIS BIKKERING AND CRYING BLUE MURDER.

BUT IF I AM TO MAKE A CHOICE BETWEEN THE AFOREMENTIONED SCENARIOS, I WUD PREFER THE LATTER NOT THE FORMER!  cool cool cool kiss kiss,
BECAUSE IT IS A WELL KNOWN FACT THAT THE IGBOS IN THEIR BID TO EXERCISE THEIR DOMINANT STATUS IN THE THEN REPUBLIC OF BIAFRA ATTEMPTED TO (SUCCESSFUL IN SOME CASES) RENAME STREETS IN PLACES LIKE CALABAR, UYO, ETC TO IGBO NAMES WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. THIS WAS ONE OF THE REASONS FOR THEIR REJECTION IN THESE CITIES WHOSE INHABITANTS WOULD HAVE READILY ACCEPTED THEIR LIBERATION EFFORTS AGAINST THE PARASITIC NIGERIAN STATE. angry angry angry angry angry
The Calabaris, Efik or Ibibio would never join forces with the Ijaws. They have always been the stalwart allies of the Ndi Igbo. I even have Efik and Ibibio blood running through my veins and I speak Ibibio. The Aro in particular share a common history with the Efik and Ibibio so we see ourselves as family.

I prefer the former of your statement instead of the latter. The Igbos do not attack other groups. It has not been in our history to attack the groups of the Niger Delta. The Ijaws on the other hand have proven time and time again that they will attack their neighbors and cousins.  We Igbos may try to dominate economically, but that is as far as it goes. It is common knowledge that we Igbos fight amongst ourselves when we do not have a common enemy. An Igbo state would be checked by Igbos constant bickering against one another and the minorities that reside in it.

I definitely do not care. Oil is a curse to Nigeria. I wish it would dry up, so that we could focus on other industries such as agriculture and tapping into our mineral resources. Plus, providing services such as in IT would be a plus. Following the Chinese model of industrialization is what Nigerians should be focused on, not who is getting oil appointments. Improve your regions and shut up. There is work that needs to be done.

This is why you are not a military strategist.

You cannot win a secession war by being defensive and fighting in your own territory.

Go and ask France why the Maginot line led to their downfall in WW2. They hoped to defeat Germany by defending their borders, rather than attacking Germany.

Static defensive combat is a sure way to lose a war.

The minute Biafra failed in their mission to take Lagos (via the Midwest), the war was lost.
Wrong! We should have kept our fuel source open. Plus, the 'South-South' would have given us access to the sea where we could get supplies from Israel and France. Without access to the sea or fuel forces, we lost the war. Securing the Niger Delta and eliminating the saboteurs would have done wonders.

When we invaded the Midwest, we turned those people against us.

It sickens me how some of my fellow Igbo brothers are too scared to say what is really on their mind.

Do you actually think we Igbos can forgive the saboteurs like the Ijaw whose native sun Adaka Boro rose up against Biafra. I will never forgive them. They mistrust my people yet we give them open arms.

I am tired of turning the other cheek. It is not in my blood. My particular group use to be one of the most feared in all of the East. People would tell stories of Aro raids into their communities.

I am an Igbo Nationalist, I despise the Ijaw, I despise those Muslim fools in the north, and I do not trust the Yoruba.

You Ibos need to stop all your tribal tantrums, because they are becoming the bane of you folks out there.
You Yorubas should not even talk. We all know how you suppressed your minorities in Yorubaland. But, when it comes to minorities in the East, you people want to meddle in Eastern affairs. Do we Igbos worry about you Yorubas in the west or the Hausa-Fulani in the North.

Eastern affairs are for the Igbo only. We will deal with these Ijaws
