CultureRe: Are Ijaws Related To Igbos ? by EzeUche(m): 5:02pm On Mar 30, 2013
Igbos are not related to Ijaw.

Port Harcourt is an Ikwerre town.

The only majority Ijaw state is Bayelsa.
CultureRe: Are Ijaws Related To Igbos ? by EzeUche(m): 4:56pm On Mar 30, 2013
Tigerhead: Why do the ibos do this? They claim the ijaws at every opportunity. There is no relation between ijaw and ibo. ibo are just there normal thieving selves. It is really sad.

Is it that they cannot be happy unless they are stealing something from someone?
No one is claiming any Ijaw.

Did you not see the majority of the Igbo posters say there is no relation?

Ijaw are not related to any Nigerian group.
I'm actually shocked some Igbo pay mind to a group of men that at their age have not grown up yet. a fool at 40, 50, 70 and up will forever be a fool and that discribes most of the Yoruba's on this forum excluding few. why una still argue with grown men with brains like that of a teenager is a mystery. As for those doubting the loyalty to soyinka, soyinka is a good man. he's not and have never been like them thus do not use his tribes to judge him. He's nothing like this set we see on this forum. spit on the floor. most tribalistic ppl in the entire Nigerian populace. tufiakwa. move on and Join the world in morning this man. stop wasting una time with the disgrace of Africa.
You are right. Some of us were simply shocked by this pathetic display of jealousy that is being shown on this thread. I am trying to mourn and reading some of these vile comments infuriated me. But I understand the wisdom that can be found in your words.

This thread should be known as a jealousy thread.

Supporters of Chinua Achebe should see this as flattery.

All the tributes from around the world that they had to read and see yesterday must had been painful for them.

Chinua Achebe's name will live on FOREVER!

The Igbo culture that is present in his novels will live on forever.

The Iroko treee has fallen but will never be forgotten.

Billyonaire: A divided Southern Nigeria is the glory of the North, what a calamity.
These bigots have gone too far.

I could handle their dislike for Ojukwu, but their hate for a man who brought pride to all of Africa is too much for me.

Chinua Achebe novels will live on when we are all dust.

The Igbo name will continue to live on through his novels. For that I am very thankful.

Igbo Kwenu!

bittyend: So, no Nigerian is on the 'Future African Leaders' list yet you dingbats are fighting over a dead man who's already 6ft under, yes? 160million of you and none of you made the list!

Thank God I'm not a Nigerian. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
You better show that "dead man" some respect.

But I guess you being raised in Britain, you do not know much about the respect that should be given to an elder like Chinua Achebe.

Now the world can see the bigotry and tribalism that is being displayed on every Chinua Achebe thread by certain elements of the Yoruba tribe.

How can you dislike a man who has made such a contribution to the literary world and brought pride to all of Africa?

Chineke bless Professor Chinua Achebe. He has now joined his ancestors, but will never be forgotten.

Eko Ile: Is writing hate and bigotry books, fanning bigotry and tribalism the new definition for pride?

I hope you are not the smartest in your village because if so, that village don suffer...
I did not know speaking the truth about Awolowo, a known hater of other tribes would make someone a bigot.

Awolowo is hated by people from the East and for a valid reason.

The world loved Chinua Achebe and Awolowo will eventually be forgotten and placed in the dustbin of history. I don't even know why I am comparing a tribal chieftain to such an illustrious author.
PoliticsRe: Did Chinua Achebe Actually Do Anything To Promote Development In Nigeria? by EzeUche(m): 12:06am On Mar 24, 2013
I advise all Igbos to not to go down the level of these Yoruba tribal bigots.

We disrespect the name of Professor Achebe who was above the tribal politics and seen himself as African first and foremost.
PoliticsRe: Did Chinua Achebe Actually Do Anything To Promote Development In Nigeria? by EzeUche(m): 12:03am On Mar 24, 2013
Chinua Achebe brought pride to all of AFRICA.

Not only are Nigerians in debt to him, but all of Africa. Thankfully most Africans realize this except for some members of a certain tribe who see nothing good from his people.

When people talk about hate, you can just read this thread and see how one group can hate another with a passion.
PoliticsRe: Did Chinua Achebe Actually Do Anything To Promote Development In Nigeria? by EzeUche(m): 11:58pm On Mar 23, 2013
All I can say is WOW at this thread.

Yesterday, all the news channels were talking about the death of Professor Achebe and some bigots have the nerve what did he actually do to promote "development" in Nigeria.

Some of these Yorubas are filled with nothing but hate.

Bluetooth and his fellow bigots are truly sick.

It seems like they enjoy hearing news of Igbo deaths.

What kind of sick person enjoys the suffering of others? I can tell you. That person should be called a sociopath.

i told you comedians are starting to troop in. grin grin. very entertaining!
Nigeria is now known as a terrorist haven. Let that sink into your rotten mind.

This is not a laughing matter. Being compared to Afghanistan or Pakistan, because of these Northerners is an insult.

So just shut up you goat and stop spewing trash.

Innocent people lose their lives once again in Northern Nigeria.

The North is dragging Nigeria down. Still wondering why the ACN was join forced with a party from that backwards region.

-Acts of terrorism
-Polio which has been eradicated in most of the world is still found in that region
-Lack of education
-No industries

Why do we need the North again?

People should love the Igbo spirit.

Even our enemies admire the determination of the Ndigbo to survive anywhere.

Who know of a people after being defeated in a brutal war continue to thrive and keep their heads up high? That is some serious pride. If all Africans had that pride, we would not be the poorest continent in the world.

I love my people rugged sense of individualism.

What about Phillip Iheanacho of Seven Energy?

What of Orjiakor of Seplat Petroleum?

Abagworo: I don't know about me, but 95% of Africans I've interacted with are kind of ancient when it comes to tribe and nationalism. The funny thing is that these tribes like Igbo and Yoruba were created by Europeans.
You have spoken the truth. We have an ancient mindset. But maybe because our nations were created by Europeans and not us.
