Instead of us all to work out a solution to the boko haram problem, some of you are advocating the relocation of igbos to the south. Do you think that the south will not accomodate you all? The sum total of igbos in the whole north is more than the the total number of igbos living in igboland. Where will they all live, when they all relocate to igboland? Be realistic. Do you think the igbos in the north enjoy being targets all the time there is any riot? They have no option but to remain in the north!!!
Discuss with their leaders in the the north and find out the real situation before you make unnecessary calls for them to leave.
The important question is, WHAT DO WE DO TO SOLVE BOKO HARAM?
My uncle is right about Northern Igbos. And many think like the poster above me. They are the illiterates among us.

I do not understand their mindset. It is like they are a different breed of Igbo. undecided undecided undecided

He is not the first "Northern" Igbo I have heard this from. How can you pity those who have this mindset? Another question we should ask ourselves is do we Igbos in the East want this type of Igbo in our land.

I understand where you are coming from, we Igbos have been the main victims of their madness.

But those Northerners who live among us , must be protected and feel secure , to drive home the point that we our more tolerant and civilised than their brothers in the North.
Sorry but all people have a tipping point. Regardless of how civilized they are. . .

We consider Americans "civilized" but Muslims in the U.S. became very uncomfortable.

Well, I have to first appreciate Igbo youths for their restraint over madally bombings, if they have responded the way they responded to Kano killings over a cartoon drawn by someone in faraway denmark, then the whole country will be smouldering by now. This is commendable but no sane person expects people to exercise retraints indefinetily while some evil men just blast them into pieces.

However, I think the elders should start "rattling their sabres", as their  is aying that the best way to have peace is to prepare for war.
This restraint is a sign of weakness.

Disgusting post!

Are you saying the Igbo ancestral homeland cannot handle more Igbos?

If you are an Igbo living in the North, we in the South-east in other regions in the south will not mourn your death, because I am starting to believe Igbos who live in the north are IDIOTTS who do not value their lives.
PoliticsRe: List Of Madalla Blast Victims Released -98% Igbo by EzeUche(m): 11:55am On Dec 30, 2011
Igbos whine too much for my liking.

Stop playing the victim and do something about it. We shame our ancestors by not doing anything.

Seems like Abians might have to take matters into our own hands and maybe those Onitsha boys, but these are the only places in Igboland that will see reprisals.

You have Igbos in Imo state who will only protest, a governor in Ebonyi who will only build a school for these Islamist and the Igbo elite in Enugu who will just sit around.

I see you have modified this post, although for the worse. If Igbo have T.A. Orji on their side during a war with Lesotho, guess what, Lesotho wins.

Is this the same Orji who has destroyed a part of Igboland for 5 years and running, who went to APGA for a day and cowardly decamped to PDP?

Is this the leader you want to fight against known conquerors (Fulani) ?

If so, then my advice is to prepare a letter to the Red Cross
For all of T.A. Orji's faults and there are many, this man was the only person who told the North that they should not push the Ndigbo into a corner during the election violence.

And the way you people exagerate about T.A. Orji and Abia state is sickening. I was in Abia 2 months ago and seen everything with my own eyes. You cannot believe everything you read on the internet.

When was the last time you have been to Abia if ever? Diaspora Nigerians like to talk trash about my state when they never been there.

I commend you for starting this topic which is good, but once again, you've proven why the average Igbo of today is politically irrelavant. Do you know that T.A. Orji has brought more misery to the very state he has been selected to rule than all the Boko Harams bombings?

DO you know that all the so called selected leaders of Abia state were returned back for another four wasteful years and you guys have not decided to Bokorize them?

So no, we dont need people like him.

Nonsense
My brother I have agreed with Mikeansy response. It makes sense now.  cool

But you do need Igbos like him, especially during war. I believe T.A. Orji and many like him including myself would fight fire with fire. People who will protect the Ndigbo at all cost.

This all looks too familiar:

1) The North feels that they have lost grip of the gains of their victory in the civil war.

2) They cant stand Goodluck Ebele Jonathan being president and surrounding himself with SE, SS and SW influential ministers and military personnel.

3) They start making noise about the laws of Allah and how we MUST all be subject to them.

4) Boko Haram appears, destroying lives and property in the North, FIGHTING FOR ALLAH.

5) Reprisal attacks against Northerners take place in the SE, SS and SW. . . a much needed part of the plan.

6) Pogroms take place in the North, directed at SE, SS and SW infidels that do not believe in Allah.

7) Anarchy reigns everywhere, more reprisal attacks against Northerners in the SS, SE and SW.

8.) A military coup takes place, led by a junior Northern military officer, ousting the govt of GEJ. Mediocrity reigns once more.

9) The North reclaims is hold on money/power . . .MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
. .
We have seen this before! angry

Even in Saudi Arabia, non Muslims live in peace in the kingdom same in Qatar, Egypt, Malaysia, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana and many. Tariq Aziz, Deputy to Saddam Hussein was am Christian. Religious problem in the North is of many dimensions,  major reason is the deliberate and criminal act of their leaders denying them education for too long, to enable them get information on first hand instead of "them say". yet they educate their own kids
You are lying out of your arse!

Non-Muslims do not have religious freedom in Saudi Arabia.

How many non-Muslims have you heard living in Qatar.

In Egypt you see Muslims fighting the Christian Copts.

Malaysia has seen it share of terrorism from Muslim extremist.

Kenya has suffered dearly under terrorist attacks from Muslim extremist from Somalia and Al-Qaeda. Remember the US embassy bombing in that region.

And there are not many Muslims in South Africa.

Please let's talk like educated people here. In as much that i support vigilante groups, i don't think northerners should be singled out for humilation. It's not a crime to be a northerner. there are millions of innocent northerners. That some northerners are disgracing themselves does not make every northerner bad.
My brother I strongly disagree with you.

While our people are not given peace in their region, you want them to be in peace in our region. That is a big mistake that Ojukwu did and we will not make the same mistake.

That is a weak man's mentality. We will not hold ourselves to a higher standard and will fight fire with fire.

I don't mind vigilante groups in the South-East checking every Northerner.

We have to be very careful with these people.
