You are a retard, the US has muslims in their various state legislatures,in federal congress, The US also has Indian governors, one man and one woman.Do you think a Nigerian Christian would be elected in Saudi Arabia,Pakistan or Iranhuh
You are fool for attacking me. The American electorate would never vote for a Muslim to become President of the U.S. Why do you think Barack Obama went through so much nonsense, due to his Muslim name even though he has been a Christian all his life.

Think for a second, before you attack someone who has studied the American electorate.

The Igbo spirit is a restless spirit. It has always been like this since our forefathers walked the land. We were practicing DEMOCRACY before the white man even thought about it.

We are egalitarian. And it is our believe that any person can perform great things. Even if there father could not do it.

We DEY for Lagos. IT IS OUR HOME now. lmao! grin grin
The annexation of Lagos. I hope to see it happen in my lifetime. One day, there will be Igbo governors of Lagos State. Our population is increasing.

Bk.babe,

You are waging your war against the Igbo nation I see. Igbo woman scorned you and now you are going ballistic. I will take up this crusade against your menace.

Onlytruth,

You speak the truth yet again. We need a round 2 with the aboki. It is time we Igbos push these barbarians back to the Sahara from which they sprang.

I do not worry much about the Yoruba, but we need our rear protected. Midwest and Ijaw populations would be the perfect buffer against the Yoruba nation.

We need to figure out how to divide the Core North. The Middle Belt is fighting them, but that is enough. The Kanuri need to wake up. Abacha did not care much about all the Emirs of the former Sokoto Caliphate. He was a descendant of the Kanem-Bornu Empire who repelled Uthman dan Fodio. If we can put a wedge between the Kanuri and Hausa-Fulani, then that would be in OUR best interest.

I definitely have come to the conclusion that dirty Lagos is a prize to many Igbos. Many of my brethren covet that city. Yorubas should worry about my brethren who enjoy Lagos. Because they will rather die in Lagos then flee if something does happen.

Igbos are coming to Lagos in increasing numbers. And they are not becoming Yorubanized either.

chyz,

Why the change in your point of view? It would seem that you are becoming more conciliatory towards the Yoruba. We should have killed Awolowo when we had the chance. He was in our grasp.

Chyz,

Its the gospel truth!!! so forget about keeping an open mind. Go discuss it anywhere with whomever you desire and the result will still be the same. Ojukwu wanted to subjugate yorubaland as he already did to the mid-west region. And Ojukwu cannot deny writing the letter to Banjo.
Ojukwu could have cared less about the midwest or the West. Why subjugate Yorubaland? There is no profit. Only Lagos could have been a prize for us.

And I am ending this discussion. You derailed a thread! This is between Azikiwe and Awolowo. Not Ojukwu v. Awolowo. Stay on task. angry

bk.babe,

You had no swag. How do you expect to get any play when you act like that? grin You have to improve your game. Is that how you Brooklyn nigggaas talk to women? Down South, a woman would look at you funny and so will a Naija babe.

Maybe you need to learn from your fellow Yorubas. They know how to say sweet nothing.

Zik was ahead of time. And he should be compared to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana. Not some tribal chieftain like Awolowo.

Awolowo will never been seen in Zik's league.

Zik will forever be the Zik of Africa.

The rates are higher in the North and Southwest. Especially in Lagos. It is understandable in Lagos, because people from all across the continent come to that city though.

All we got from Awo was starvation and N20. That's all.
Gbam!

Free education my foot. Awo did nothing for the entire southeast.

Zik is the great "Nigerian" that every lived. If Awo is on that list, then Dr. Michael Okpara should be on that list.

PoliticsRe: Why Is Ethnicity More Important Than Religion by EzeUche0(m): 9:45pm On Nov 04, 2010
Even the most developed nations focus on religion. Look at the United State. They would never allow a Muslim of Jewish person become president unfortunately. Heck, it took them almost 150 years to vote for a Roman Catholic.

It is funny how most southwesterners wil see no wrong in the actions of awolowo during and after the war, but wil rather see him as a hero but stil expect ndiigbo to form alliance with them, didnt abiola say he can do without ndiigbo.
And we all know what happened to both these individuals. Let them choke on their words.

Depends on who you ask.

To a northerner, RELIGION is everything. To a southerner, ETHNICITY is everything.

*mchew* @ the fact that Biafra is always and only associated with the Igbo yet my father an Ogoni fought and paid the price for it. Have people forgotten about our own contributions? Anyway Nigeria was imposed on me as Ogoni while Biafra was a choice my family made to follow.
We need to hear more of this from other Eastern groups. My Ibibio side of the family also fought on behalf of Biafra. My mother lost 2 brothers in that war, while they were fighting in the area that is now called Cross River State.
