All eyes will be on Okorocha. But Peter Obi needs to repair his reputation in Anambra state. He still has a chance to do that if he focuses on the people. I know how astute of a businessman he is, but he needs to realize that he needs to be more philanthropic.

Like I told you before, define racism. . .

And according to the dictionary, race is a group of persons related by common descent or heredity. Have you heard of a dictionary? grin

Define racism in your own words. And race is a social construct.

Mumu, trying Tambuwal will open the way for a Yoruba speaker-ship again. It will be like a 2nd chance and with all the anger and embittered message from across the SW after the loss of the post, no section of the country will DARE fight a south westerner for the post.

Who is his deputy? If Tambuwal falls, then who is next in line. It is an Igbo man. This will not be by force.

And who is afraid of the SW voting bloc? Northerners will not allow someone from the SW to take control if Tambuwal is forced out of his position.
Business / Govt Begins Work On N3b Enugu Dam by EzeUche1(m): 9:14pm On Jun 22, 2011
Govt begins work on N3b Enugu dam

THE Federal Government yesterday kicked off work on the N3 billion Adada Dam in Enugu State with a pledge to provide potable water to all parts of the country before 2013.

The Adada Dam is expected to be completed in 24 months. Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, Godknows Igali, who officially kicked off the construction, said the initiative was one of the efforts of the government to ensure potable water, as well as improve agricultural activities all year round. He stressed that the project was the third in the series started in the past six months.

He said the positioning of the water sector would impact meaningfully on the development of the country, adding that work on the dam in Akwa Ibom would also be started next week.

He charged the communities to protect the facilities and workers at site to enable them deliver on schedule, expressing confidence that the government would meet its part of the contract.

Also speaking, the senator representing Enugu-North, Ayogu Eze, explained that the project was about the only one being initiated by the Federal Government in the area in the past 40 years after the University of Nigeria Nsukka, which he said, the government inherited.

He promised to ensure that the budgetary provision for the project was realised, as well as continue to press for other needs of the constituency especially the agitation for the creation of Adada State out of the present Enugu State.

Eze noted that the area was blessed with abundant human and material resources that have remained untapped, which he claimed, could enable it compete with any state in the country. He promised that the issue of Adada would be revisited when state creation was being mentioned and urged the people to continue to support the government.

Kicking off the construction, the Deputy Governor, Sunday Onyebuchi, said the initiative was possible following the peaceful atmosphere that had prevailed in the state, promising that the government would do all it could to ensure that the project was realised.

Yeah, Chime is doing just fine, but he was having problems with PDP before Nwodo resigned and I envisage that happening again during next election because He(Chime) would want to project a candidate which might not go down well with other PDP chieftains and this will present the opportunity for APGA, if APGA can get Enugu that means we are there already.

My prediction is that Abia is the next to fall for APGA. That is if Okorocha does a good job in Imo state. Abians are very connected to what is happening in Owerri.

Ebonyi state is very unknown to me. Of all the South-East states, Ebonyi is a state that I do not know much about.

Article I read was more detailed than this, but this discusses it a bit:

That was simply because the price of cocoa was more expensive than oil palm. Simply economics and the number of Igbo children surprised many.

Chyz*:

I think Benue should switch soldiers and police with those in SEastern states. In the north the soldiers and policemen always seem to get "overpowered" by the fulani/hausa but in the east the soldiers and police always seem to know how to be gun-smokers at the slightest provocation. One move or sound and the bullet is let loose. Herdsmen charge at the law enforcement and also burn houses down in the north but i guess the herdsmen's magic charms seem to make the artilary jam, lol.

We know the reason why. . . undecided

I don't feel sorry for the Tiv at this moment. Since they wanted to be Fulani so much let them reap their reward. If they the so called "warrior tribe" can't seem to protect their land and send the Fulani in Benue into extinction then that is their cup of tea. The Igbo officer that died must be the son of Ironsi, mtchew. Who wastes his time trying to protect and keep peace btwn ppl known for nothing but violence and have attacked your own people?

But the Tiv are warriors though. They have been fighting Fulani incursions for centuries. . .

What is unforgivable is that they joined forces with the very tribe they have been sworn enemies against a tribe who has had peaceful trading contacts with them.

We can only imagine how much better Nigeria would be as a country if a guy like Awo had been president. To this day, we feel the impact of his leadership. Imagine if the North and East had had their own versions of Awo? Nigeria would probably be a very great country today.

You act as if the West is better than the North and East. I haven't seen anything special about the West.  undecided

How can anyone compare a tribal chieftain like Awolowo with Nnamdi Azikiwe who is compared with Kwame Nkrumah?

The sad thing about some of these foolish Nigerian women as well as many African women, is that just because these expats are white, does not mean they have money.

as for your last comment, not surprised coming from an Igbo boy. You people have absolutely no respect for women whatsoever, which is why you run your dirty mouths at the girls on the board. Must be part of the "culture" Awon ranu.

I was just waiting for you to do this. Yoruba women are the most tribalistic women in all of Nigeria. You all never fail to disappoint me small girl. When you start acting like a lady, you will be treated like such. Until then, you probably worship these expats koboko! undecided

These Nigerian girls are big disgrace to demselves, if u have ever come across dem in any of them hotels with  dirty lebanesse, chinesse or romanian poverty men. Lets face it, these men are not the cream of the pile to be doing business  in Africa. I really wonder wat type of homes dey come from and the principles dey were thought because it can not all be poverty since some of them are in the university.

very shameful! cry angry

Thank you!

Most of these expats are from the bottom of their societies and they are treated like kings in Nigeria.

And now our women are being "exported" to their countries to continue to act in such ways.
