~Bluetooth:

Even the colonial master knew how violence ibo people can be or are you doubting that ? In the real sense, ibos are more violent that hausas.

That is a lie. Or do you have a source to back that up?

They always say that the Ndigbo are a people who are ambitious and intelligent, never violent. . .

Shall I bring a note written by Lord Lugard concerning the Hausa and their primal nature?

Or about the Yoruba who have no ambition?
Politics / The Northern Islamist Threat by EzeUche1(m): 4:27pm On Jun 20, 2011
We must all come to the realization that the Northerners will never see eye to eye with the people of the South. A region that practices Sharia Law has no reason in being within a nation that professes secular beliefs. How can one half of the country practice Sharia and the other half believe in secular law. What other nation does this?

And now with the Boko Haram menace coming closer to the South, something drastic must be done. And it is not just about Boko Haram. What about the Fulani herdsmen who are descending on villages throughout the Middle Belt. They even attacked people in Cross River.

They pose a threat to anyone who cherishes freedom!
Politics / Re: Massob To Join Boko Haram - Uwazuruike, Leader Threatens: I May Join Boko Haram by EzeUche1(m): 4:20pm On Jun 20, 2011
I wish the East had our own nation.

A peaceful CHRISTIAN nation!

We would not have to worry about such fanaticism.

The only reason why some parts of the east have violence, is because we are trapped in this contraption known as Nigerians with the barbarians to the North.
Politics / Re: Massob To Join Boko Haram - Uwazuruike, Leader Threatens: I May Join Boko Haram by EzeUche1(m): 4:18pm On Jun 20, 2011
The only Igbo kamikaze I have heard of, are the ones who fought during the Biafran War who met Nigerian soldiers with traditional charms and no guns.

ndu_chucks:

hahahahaha!!!! You would like us to dismiss a credible threat by the leader of the most prominent terrorist separatist group in Nigeria, as sarcasm. With due respect, don't be silly, olodo.

Your statement is as silly as saying that MEND's threat to detonate explosives anywhere in Nigeria is sarcasm.

Boko Haram is a Northern manifestation that is bringing shame to Nigeria. It is always a Northerner! Just like that underwear bomber.

That is why I make sure people know that the Muslims in Northern Nigeria are different from the peaceful Christians of the South.

Has MASSOB ever killed innocent people? Has MASSOB ever had been a violent organization?

Foolish Northerners making Nigeria look like a terrorist nation.

My brothers of the South, we know who are the real problem.

It is the North!

They have introduced bombing to Nigeria and now we are starting to resemble Pakistan, Iraq and other Arab countries.
Politics / Re: Massob To Join Boko Haram - Uwazuruike, Leader Threatens: I May Join Boko Haram by EzeUche1(m): 3:50pm On Jun 20, 2011
This sounds like sarcasm from Uwazuruike. Some of your people need to learn what sarcasm means.

Of course a Northerner would read this out of context.
Politics / Re: I Think Nigeria Should Have A Monarchy by EzeUche1(m): 3:48pm On Jun 20, 2011
Rubbish!

We Igbos will fight any attempt at monarchy! For thousands of years, the Ndigbo have had no need for a monarchy. Take you silly ideas and speak for your own people.

There is a reason why we say. . . Igbo Enwe Eze!

Nnamdi Azikiwe was a true nationalist.

And I would call this a NORTHERN threat, not a Boko Haram threat.
Politics / Re: Acn Concedes 2015 To Jonathan? by EzeUche1(m): 1:02am On Jun 20, 2011
If Jonathan thinks he can rule past 2015, then he will find himself isolated by not only the North, but the South-East. So who will support him?
Politics / Re: Who Is Nigeria's Most Respected Statesman (dead Or Alive)? by EzeUche1(m): 10:56pm On Jun 19, 2011
There is a reason why Nnamdi Azikiwe is known as the "The Great Zik of Africa."

What other statesman in Nigeria had such terms to refer to them?

And I am not talking about the tribal champions.

The Middle Belt is conquered land.

Ileke-IdI:

IF the North feared the Igbos as you said, it would have been the older generation (1960s).

More than twice, the North have shown their dislike for the Igbos, they've killed the Igbos in the North like slaughtering chickens. If the North feared the Igbos, they would not have been trying to chase GEJ out of office, since GEJ is considered an Igbo cousin and was voted for massively by the Igbos.

My dear, dont try to be arrogant, the North fears no one. Plz abeg, have they done anything to stop another Biafra drama? Is history not repeating itself?
If the North should fear anyone, it's ACN and Tinubu. The political power ACN is showing in less than a year is something to be feared.

Once the Northern states get rid of PDP, PDP power will crumble. ACN will be it. What will APGA do? You still dont get what is going on do you?

Was it not the Yoruba who slaughtered like chickens this time around more than other group?

Was it not Yorubas who lost more property in the North more than other group?

Was it not Igbos who fighting back in the streets Kano, in the Northern heartland?

Hausa fear what the Igbos can do in the East, because remember we are the key to unleashing the full threat of war. If the Igbos chose to join forces with the militants in the Niger Delta, that is what the North fear.

And it was Igbo votes that defied the North and put Jonathan in the presidency.

As long as oil remains the glue that keeps Nigeria together, every group outside the East will fear what the Igbo can do to oil supplies. That is the real reason why the Civil War happened.

mithel, your leader Tinubu is an accused drug dealer in U.S. Courts. Not Nigerian Courts, but U.S. Courts. . .

Igbos do not celebrate such leaders. . . undecided

i still wonder why nigerians cant look beyond ethnic sentiments.well you might be right in saying some some yorubas are working against an igbo presidency, and same with igbos against yorubas, but both of them are wrong n just scared the oda region wont produce a good candidate.Me personally aint against an igbo president,am just scared that they might present some1 lyk andy uba, akpabio, or ngige n co as their candidate.i do hope u ppl choose well, that way i can vouch for yorubas that we would support u,most of us are nt tribalists,we luv merit.

With Bankoles, Obsanjos and Tinubus running around in the SW, I am wary of what your people can produce. We already seen the biggest thief seem to come from both the North and SW.

Ezeuche The north is not marginalising anyone, why didn't the yorubas support the igbos to get the speaker position?why did the yorubas vote against their own? Why did other souther groups urhobos, igbos etc vote against the yoruba candidate? (He north is only taking advantage of southern disunity to push their 2015 agenda, funny enuf yoruba have already started fighting 2015 igbo presidency agenda and later we will blame it on northerners.

You may be right. But remember the North has played a role in many of the South's problems. Dating back to when the Sardauna was interfering in SW affairs. Remember Akintola and Awolowo?

But I do see the Yoruba interfering with the 2015 Igbo presidency agenda and I am not amused.

Lol at marginalisation, everybody is crying marginalisation the question is who is marginalising who?.

I would believe that the North is marginalizing everyone now. Or should I say the entire South. They do not need the Yoruba race to control this nation anymore.

Desola:

Edicolove,

You make very compelling arguments. Should OBJ leave, the centre would no longer hold.

Yoruba is the only strong opposition against the Northen domination and with their biggest threat gone, the Ibos would just be to happy to chop and quench. We know that they do not care about the future of Nigeria but about Biafra. Although, with the Hausas holsing sway, Ibos Biafra would not materialise but they have always been comforted with hand me downs, anyway.

We Igbos are the only group to fight Nigeria in a war. The North fears Igbos more than the Yorubas. It has only been 40 years since the last war and we have not so easily forgotten about Biafra. We have tasted freedom.

But I do agree with the assertion that Yoruba hold the center. If the Igbos had their way, we would have already left this union. So leave the center, and watch Nigeria crumble. 2015 is fast approaching.

That's all that needs to be said; unconcerned harping on non-existent boundary issues.

You say that, but your family did not have to go through the abandoned property saga. My family did, so PH remains as important to us as many hinterland Igbos. We bought the land fairly and no one will take it away from us again.

That is why it would seem you do not understand how important PH is to many Igbos. It is not about oil, it is about pride and we will not allow that type of disrespect happen to us again. That is why I fight viciously against those who say Iguocha is not an Igbo town.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sometimes I feel like the Ndigbo are attacked on all fronts. Even from within as can be seen in ChinenyeN and his "Aba state."

@ EzeUche,

See you head like PH Boy. Your family bought properties in PH whilst we have it handed down ancestrally. Who knows you in PH? Ikwerre and Okrika boys don't bother themselves with inane arguments over who owns what, only upland interlopers like yourself. Imagine pulling up Duncan Mighty song. Did you not know that everyone named in Duncan Mighty's song is from the old Rivers State? If you are a real PH boy, you should know at least 2 people name-checked in the song. Please speak to Abagworo if you need educating. We have PH boys amongst us even from Anambra, we all grow up together. My guess is you only visit PH, never been an indigene.

My people have been dealing with the people of Iguocha since the slave era. Most of Eastern Nigeria had contact with the Aro. That is why you have Aro-Ikwerre to this day and even our own president claims descent from Aro traders. We Aro feel at home anywhere. It doesn't matter if it is in Anambra, Rivers, Cross River or even in Cameroon. Just realize that PH will always be an Igbo town and you mixed Okrika people will have decide if you want to be with the Igbos or the Ijaw.

Igbos have been far too kind to minorities. Sometimes I wonder about my brothers.

How can we deal with the Hausa and the Yorubas, when our own region is not secure?
