High_Chief:

If this was happening in any other part of the country, the soldier boys would have ravaged the whole place. So far GEJ has failed with security issues

That is true. Look at how they torched the Niger Delta to go after the militants.

Villages were destroyed, women despoiled, young men murdered in cold blood.

Yorubas are not native to Ghana. I keep on telling people that. angry

They are spreading throughout the North. I thought they were simply of Kanuri stock, but it looks like they are recruiting Hausa-Fulani. shocked

Alj harem ,

I said the yoruba's intruded into their land and retreated in the face of defeat from the Dahomey_Amazons. Jason ., the oyo empire did not extend beyond benin into fon territory or Ghana. Both empire were stiff rivals.

Thank you! I told these people that before and there was a war of words of epic proportions in this section about Oyo's extent.

Wait till the Historical titans like Katsumoto sees this thread. The war shall begin again.

Exactly. where are they? and you have people yarning blah blah Igbos wouldnt strand for this. Ijaws wouldnt stand for this. Are you trying to say that Igbos, Ijaws and others arent part of the employees, why arent they doing anything. Instead of Nigerians to terrorize those who deserve it, be going after innocent people.

I have never heard of such nonsense happen in the South-East. In Port Harcourt. . . Yes, but never the South-East.

Igbo man will not tolerate such indignities from a German, Lebanese, Arab or fellow African. It is too much to bare for us to allow something like this.
Politics / Re: Who Is Nigeria's Most Respected Statesman (dead Or Alive)? by EzeUche1(m): 12:45am On Jun 21, 2011
Not only was Zik a TRUE Nationalist who fought for the freedom of ALL Nigerians, he was a Pan-Africanist, which is very commendable.

So if you sya who is Nigeria's most respected statesman ever, it would be Nnamdi Azikiwe. Nnamdi Azikiwe is respected all across Africa and the Black Diaspora. No other Nigerian statesman commands that level of respect.

They would not do this to an Ijaw man either. We all know how those militants are with the oyibos.

People need their heads examined if they want a country with the Ijaw. They fight all of their neighbors! From the Ogoni to Itsekiri.

Are you also claiming lands in Cameroun and Benin republic?

Isn't this a linguistic map?

Were these borders not arbitrarily drawn by Europeans without the consent of Africans themselves?

This is a more accurate map.

So what is "the true extent of Alaigbo"?? cheesy

Now we all know we have discussed that topic. And final conclusion is that Igboland is quite large. And Port Harcourt is FIRMLY Igbo.

Honestly,Ebonyi should either merge or be scrapped.A friend of mine serving there complains that the state is just blessed with salt even common water na gold.Bayelsa with just six local governments is highly under-develop despite collecting the highest allocation.

Ebonyi is a breadbasket that is blessed with fertile land. Why do you think we in the East get our rice from that state? I guess you do not know much about the East to make such statements.
Politics / Re: We Are Creating More States - Ekweremadu (Senate VP) by EzeUche1(m): 11:15pm On Jun 20, 2011
ekt_bear:

I understand that ethnic minorities want their own state. But in cases where you have neighboring states with the same ethnicity, might not be a bad idea to merge them to cut down on administrative costs.

Probably the entire SE zone could be merged into one state, for example.

All of our states are viable and are performing financially.

Even the least among our states, Ebonyi is doing alright.

The same cannot be said of your own state of Ekiti and many states in the North.
Politics / Re: We Are Creating More States - Ekweremadu (Senate VP) by EzeUche1(m): 11:04pm On Jun 20, 2011
Anioma state is needed. Other states should be merged. Especially in the North and South-West.
Career / Re: How Germans Abuse Nigerian Workers, On Nigerian Soil by EzeUche1(m): 11:02pm On Jun 20, 2011
This would not happen in Igboland. Am happy that Igbos do not believe that a man can be superior to another man.

No question asked: Zik is by FAR THE GREATEST
The rest are secondary and tertiary entities
Some (e.g., Awo) are not even known beyond their tribal enclaves

That is the truth!

Nnamdi Azikiwe was not a tribal champion, but a true nationalist like Herbert Macaulay. He is widely respected across Africa and history will look favorably at his dream.

Zikism will live again.
Politics / Re: We Are Creating More States - Ekweremadu (Senate VP) by EzeUche1(m): 10:49pm On Jun 20, 2011
Give us Anioma state!  cool

And maybe they can carve out the Ijaw areas of Rivers state and give it to Bayelsa state.
Politics / Re: Massob To Join Boko Haram - Uwazuruike, Leader Threatens: I May Join Boko Haram by EzeUche1(m): 10:44pm On Jun 20, 2011
OPC is more violent than MASSOB.

MASSOB is technically a non-violent organization unlike OPC, MEND and Boko Haram.
Politics / Re: Impeachment Plot Against Jonathan Uncovered by EzeUche1(m): 10:38pm On Jun 20, 2011
I don't think anyone would care if Jonathan is impeached besides the Ijaws. . .

He is increasingly becoming more isolated.

Hehe. Try that, and we shall shed your blood in very large #s. It was only recently I learned that the chaos of the early 1960s in the Western Region was caused by Awusa and Eboe political meddlers. We have not yet extracted our vengeance for that.

Count the "Eboe" out of your chaos. It was a Fulani known as Ahmadu Bello interfering with Western affairs.

An "Eboe" man won fairly the title of Premier of the Western region until that nasty carpet crossing incident. Couldn't be governed by an "Eboe" man no matter how intelligent he was?

A more likely outcome is:
1) The Hausa man wiped out utterly from southern Nigeria
2) Uncle Sam's attention will be drawn to our aboki friends, and they'll be harshly dealt with.

The 1st scenario is the most likely. This is when Igbos and Yorubas as well as other Southern minorities would join hands.

Do you want them to come to your thread? Just raise up irrelevant tribal topics.

It is definitely an unpopular topic, but this is an inconvenient truth.

How can the South progress, when there are people who are against education?

They won't have deployed warrant officers to deal with you people if they really think that of ibos.Whatever, they may have written was just to raise the individualistic ego of the ibos but it doesn't change the fact that ibos are violent.

Look at yourself and your historical revisionism. They deployed warrant chiefs, because the Igbos did not have an hierarchical leadership. Igbos decisions were done collectively unlike the Yoruba or Hausa, where indirect rule was employed.

Like I said, Igbos were never known to be violent. Just ambitious. Until you can show us where they stated this, then your small bit of credibility that you have is on the line.

I am tired of the constant political violence in the North.

I am tired of the constant religious violence in the North.

I am tired of the constant bombings in the North.

I am tired of the rampaging mobs of the North.

I am tired of politicians stealing from the Niger Delta who are from the North.
